  1. Better use of the colors... easier to read and follow. Dick Slater is made to look like a big star here. He has always been a favorite of mine after I heard about him beating up Matusak for messing with his gf. I don't know if anyone could put on 4 matches right now and match the star power you've got here even if it were for 1980 these guys are still legit.
  2. Looks like the Mississippi title was in use in Mid South around this time and I will be utilizing it as well.
  3. I have house show loops written into my rough drafts but I haven't pushed them yet... I want to get more of my roster out there on tv before I jump into those... plus right now they wouldn't be that exciting to read.
  4. Amazing lineups on both of these cards. I have high hopes for Valentine and flair as a tag team. I always like the conversation of a guy like Ric flair or hulk Hogan and people's view of them as a tag team wrestler. I thought both men shined in those roles when they were in them. The other thing that I would take a look at with your shows and your post-production is the use of all the different colors. While I do like the colors sticking with a basic concept rather than floating around between all of them could be a little bit easier on the eyes. For instance just picking one to denote the specific area you're trying to highlight instead of switching between multiple. other than that you've got a really good grass for this and I don't know your complete history but you definitely jumping in with both feet and you've got all the right pieces to be very very successful..
  5. I'm interested to see what Brett looks like in 1980. I can't say I've done a ton of research on him at that point maybe I'll have to go back and read his book and see how he was doing. He's obviously the true star of the future here but that's a good 5 years from his WWF era while he definitely had some big shine and stampede and hopefully you can find that magic with him.
  6. Yeah that would be great.
  7. I find myself putting together the next couple of weeks of shows and I continue to find myself booking tag team matches. One thing I'd like to do with Mid South is almost make that the focal point for the promotion with the singles titles being second tier in some respects. Even going back to look at the results... the tag title scene was the main events of Mid South during this era before they really transitioned in 83 on. It is interesting to take what happened in real life, mix in a lot of the same pieces and some different pieces, and then create something that is hopefully enjoyable to read and follows the formula that worked with this promotion.
  8. Is it too early to book Andre for 3/20 and 3/27 for Mid South?
  9. In a Bill Watts esq move... Iceman Parsons is coming back to Mid South and Jos Le LDuc is gone due to a backstage altercation. Sorry for the mix up!
  10. Mid South has come to terms with the release of: Bill Dundee, Chris Adams, & Iceman Parsons Mid South picks up: Carl Fergie, Chic Donovan, and Brett Wayne Sawyer
  11. Are we okay to drop wrestlers and pick up free agents? I know in the past I've done a drop 2 to add 2 kind of thing since we're all at 40.
  12. John stud is a guy that I was hoping to get my hands on because I think he's got a huge upside. Another one is Dino bravo and I always thought together they could be one hell of a tag team. The interesting thing will be how you use a guy like bravo in this promotion because he really could be a figurehead and ace. You get a lot of other pieces that are going to build up around him and it's going to be fun to watch everything fall into place.
  13. you know I always like your work, and I think this is going to be more the same. I need to refresh my memory on some of these guys but I think you've got a solid foundation of what stampede was about and then added in some extra color and flavor to make things more interesting. I look for bad News to be the top dog here and really make a name for himself.
  14. This is probably the most stacked roster and the crazy part is that it resembles what Mid-Atlantic had at one point. Looking forward to seeing how everything shakes out and who comes out on top.
  15. Mid South Wrestling Television - Irish McNeil Boy’s Club in Shreveport, Louisiana {The Mid South video slams onto the screen with quick clips of all the top stars. We then cut to the ringside area where Boyd Pierce is standing by at the announcer’s booth!} BP: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Mid South Wrestling! I am Boyd Pierce and we’ve got one whale of a card here tonight for you! Also tonight we will hear from Cowboy Bill Watts as he discusses some major announcements regarding Mid South Wrestling including the return to the Superdome! Right now it is time to head to the ring for our first match fans! The Junkyard Dog defeated Dennis Stamp via the THUMP for the 3-count! BP: The JYD looks great here tonight… he is one of the staples here in Mid South… now wait just a moment… Ernie Ladd… what are you doing? EL: Boyd Pierce you just need to sit down and listen up fella. I am out here right now calling out Mr. Bill Watts! I want that yellow belly out here right now because I got a bone to pick with him! It has got to do with these titles and that good for nothing Junkyard Dog! BP: Well fans… we have word that Bill Watts will join us when we come back… *COMMERCIAL* {We’re back with MSW and We have some officials out here holding Ernie Ladd back as he’s screaming at Bill Watts…} BW: Now hold on just a minute… I had it planned to come out here and make an announcement… well I guess you forced my hand… I wanted to come out here and congratulate you on winning the Mid South Louisiana Championship… I am sure you’ll make a fine champion… but you’re also the Mid South Tag Team Champion… but your partner… Leroy Brown well on the night you won that title… he lost a LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH to the JYD and he’s gone! Which then means… those titles are going to be GONE unless you plan on defending them yourself! EL: You have always tried to blackball me Watts! You’ve always been jealous that I was the better football player… the better wrestler… well you can’t just take these titles and everyone knows it! BW: You’re right Ernie… well… I guess next week you will be able to defend those tag titles against… well… how about the Junkyard Dog and a special partner? EL: What do you mean special partner? I ain’t got not partner… BW: Well then it is going to be hard for you to tag someone isn’t it… {Ladd is pretty hot now…} BW: Oh yeah… also next week… you’ll be in the ring defending that Louisiana Championship against Mike George! {Ladd is FUMING and he runs after Watts but he’s escorted by the officials… oh my! We head to the ring for our next contest…} Jim Garvin vs Nikolai Volkoff w/ Ivan Koloff -A good back and forth match but Nikoloa’s power is the tell tale for how things shake out… not to mention that Ivan Koloff trips up Garvin before Nikolai comes with a knee to the back and then an underhook suplex for the 3 count! Koloff and Volkoff work the fans on their way out of the ring while Jim Garvin looks to be a little worse for the ware…} *COMMERCIAL* BP: Welcome back to MSW fans… what a big announcement from Bill Watts regarding the tag team titles and the Louisiana Championship with Ernie Ladd… next week he has to defend against Mike George and then the JYD and a special partner… I am joined right now with the JYD… Dog… who is going to be this special partner? JYD: Well you know it is kinda like Christmas for me Boyd Pierce… I am going to get my hands on some gold next week and what a better way to kick off the new year daddy! BP: But who’s going to be your partner? JYD: Well I was gonna wait for next week… but I just couldn’t hold it in any longer… you fans want to know who it is? {The crowd pops…} JYD: Well lemme bring him out right now… he is the WILDFIRE… TOMMY RICH! {Wildfire comes out to a good ovation from the crowd and joins the JYD…} BP: Tommy Rich… wow… welcome to the Mid South and what a surprise! Tommy Rich: You know something Boyd Pierce… I got a phone call from the JYD a couple of days ago… he said he has an opportunity for me here in the Mid South… he said something about the tag titles maybe and making a run with him and brother I just couldn’t hold it in any longer… I jumped in my truck and drove through Georgia and here I am baby. I am here to tell every single person out there that I am going to stand right here by his side and brother we’re going to the top! JYD: Boyd Pierce… that’s the word from the man with the plan and the JYD and Tommy Rich are going to rule the roost… WOOF WOOF WOOF! BP: Fans… the JYD looks to have things in line… how will Ernie Ladd feel about that next week? Right now let’s head to the ring… {Kevin Sullivan is shown walking a couple of weirdos out to the ring… that’s Killer Khan, Bob Roop, and Jos Le Duc! They get in the ring… scaring away some of the fans… Looks like Roop and Le Duc will be in tag team action…} Bob Roop & Jos Le Duc defeated Rick McGraw & Scott Casey when Bob Roop hit a shoulder breaker for the 3-count… {Sullivan leads his men over to Boyd Pierce…} BP: Kevin Sullivan… what in the world is going on here and where did you come up with this group of men? Kevin: Boyd Pierce… I am in exile… I was exiled to the far East and I found the great Killer Khan… I was exiled to the great white North and I found Jos Le Duc deep in the mountains… then I was exiled to the deepest and darkest parts of this country to find a true American hero Bob Roop… together we have become a unit that is focused on on a singular goal and that is DESTRUCTION! We have been kicked out of countries… banned… banished… and now we’re here in the Mid South and we have got everything in front of us for the taking… I want everyone to know that no one is safe and we have got pain in our hearts and malice in our minds and we’re coming for everyone! {Sullivan and his crew walk out and the fans aren’t sure what to think about this guy…} *COMMERCIAL* BP: Welcome back to MSW fans… I am joined once again by Ernie Ladd… Ernie next week you’ve got two big title matches… EL: This is a conspiracy Boyd Pierce and you heard it right here! That yellow belly Tommy Rich came out here and said that the JYD called him and told him about the tag titles… he is in cahoots with Bill Watts… he is working with him to hold me down… but Bill Watts… just like a good poker player doesn’t give away his hand… I am holding my cards tight Bill Watts and next week you’ll see the full hand! BP: Well I wish you the best of luck there Ernie… right now it is time for our main event match up… let’s head to the ring. Mr. Wrestling II & Mike George vs The Super Destroyers I & II -Three masked men in one match and then Mike George… well it is a fun little contest. The Destroyers have got some moves and are definitely contenders. Wrestling II and George have got the crowd behind them and then we see Wrestling II get the hot tag which leads to a couple of big shows and then the running high knee on Destroyer II for the 3-count! {MSW ends with Boyd Pierce putting over Ernie Ladd against Mike George for the Louisiana Championship next week along with defending the tag titles against Tommy Rich and the Junkyard Dog! Plus next week Bill Watts will reveal when Mid South is returning to the Superdome! We will see the debut of the Brisco Brothers… Jack and Jerry plus… the North American Champion… the Grappler will be here! All that and much more next week on Mid South Wrestling!}
  16. I've got my first show ready to go. When are we good to post? I have it dated for tomorrow. Mid South North American - The Grappler Mid South Tag Team - Ernie Ladd & Leroy Brown Mid South Louisiana Championship - Ernie Ladd
  17. What are we thinking for a start date for shows? I was also going to see if it would be okay to do a rotating jobber list for my roster? I've got about 6-8 guys who I would use for a month of tv and then move on to others the next month to keep things fresh?
  18. No you're good - I will take Chris Adams instead.
  19. Consider it done... well in about 25 minutes
  20. I appreciate all the front end work as well... what can we do to help divy up some of the work for you? Would you like the rosters to be separated into each promotion?
  21. Mike George Jos Le Duc Ivan Koloff Nikolai Volkoff Afa Sika Enrie Ladd - Louisiana Champion & Half of tag team Champs (He wrestled quite a big in 1981 even though he's listed in managers - I'd like to transition him to that role if possible) The Grappler Len Denton - North American Champion Bob Orton Jr. Bob Armstrong (The Bullet) Bob Roop David Schultz (Dr. D) Jack Brisco Jerry Brisco Killer Khan Randy Savage Ron Garvin Jose Lothario Koko Ware Ron Fuller (The Tennessee Stud) Jimmy Golden Kevin Sullivan Jimmy Garvin Bill Irwin Scott Irwin Dennis Condrey Randy Rose Iceman King Parsons Dennis Stamp Ricky Gibson Robert Gibson Rick McGraw Magnum TA (Terry Allen) Scott Casey Bill Dundee Buddy Landel Manager - Freddie Blassie
  22. I had let Dunk know, we can move this into the millennium sub board and delete our old posts...
  23. Would you like me to just put together the list of 34 people to draft after the last pick is made?
  24. No problem, Dick Murdoch, Junkyard Dog, and Mr. Wrestling II coming to Mid South
