What a loaded show in Greensboro... just awesome lineup. I like the Johnson vs Ted matchup. I don't think Atlas was used correctly in 1986 in the WWF so to see him used the right way here is great. I also like the MXE here... perhaps them and the Road Warriors down the line but there are so many challengers for each it makes for a ton of interesting matchups.

I like how this reflects some early 80s NWA with a Mid South angle heading to Georgia type deal with Duggan and Dibiase. Two hot names to headline the revamped NWA. I still think you've got some names off that card that could make it better. Looking forward to how the NWA and MACW evolves over the summer.

Andre is putting on some major miles here... but what a contest it would be with Humungous. I like the push of Kernodle... even at Snuka's expense.

WWF Presents: Prime Time Wrestling 5/5 Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from: Phoenix, AZ – Veterans Memorial Auditorium Prime Time opens this week with Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura putting over the announcements of Jack Tunney this week. Jesse says he already knows what he’s going to say but he won’t spoil it for Monsoon. They also talk about SNME this weekend and the big return of Hulk Hogan but also the first WWF title defense of Ric Flair as he goes up against Tito Santana! We learn that the Horsemen will be here tonight and we will surely have some sparks fly because Tito Santana and Wahoo McDaniel are here as well! We head to the ring for our opening contest! SD Jones & Jim Powers vs Demolition w/ Mr. Fuji -A great little opener in terms of putting Demolition over the top as perhaps the biggest and baddest tag team in wrestling but some mutters of the Russians kind of spark some interest. Fuji and Demolition take on the Bulldogs this weekend at SNME but tonight is a good tune up and it is all over but the crying when SD Jones gets hit with the Decapitation Device! -We cut back to the booth where we see The British Bulldogs cutting a promo on Demolition. They put over SNME and say that they know the winners will be in line for a tag title shot and they hope to be the ones to get the chance at the gold but know they can’t look past Demolition! *COMMERCIAL* -We return to Prime Time and here comes Jack Tunney. He joins Gorilla and Jesse and they hammer through some of the tough topics in the WWF right now. Tunney then goes on to make the following announcements… Jack Tunney: In regards to Hulk Hogan and his challenge of the contract with Ric Flair. I have had my lawyers look through the contract thoroughly and look at any and all circumstances. In every case we found that the contract is true and lawful. It clearly states that with a match of this magnitude it can only happen once. There would be no rematch for the WWF Championship. That is the special factor. Hulk Hogan can challenge Ric Flair in a match up… but Ric Flair has the full right to deny the championship stipulation for each contest. -A chorus of BOOS explode throughout the arena. Jack Tunney: I understand the concerns that you fans have but that is the contract and it will be followed. Now, on to the next order of business. I would like to show you all the newest title to be added to the WWF… this is the WWF Television Championship! Jack Tunney: This title was created to be showcased on shows like Wrestling Challenge, Supersters, and right here on Prime Time. There will be a special 15-man tournament that will start in two weeks. It will be a single elimination tournament. The pairings will be drawn at random…. But there will be one man who gets a bye in the first round. That man will be the one who wins the special 15-man battle royal this weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event! The participants are: Curt Hennig, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Wahoo McDaniel, Greg Valentine, Honky Tonk Man, Don Muraco, Sika, One Man Gang, Bad News Brown, Billy Jack Haynes, Sting, Dino Bravo, Tonga Kid, and Bull Ganter! Jack Tunney: These 15 individuals will take part in this special battle royal and the winner will get a first round bye. The individual pairings will also be announced right here next week on Prime Time. Please tune in this Saturday Night for SNME. Thank you! -A lot of boos fill the air for Jack Tunney who walks off but damn is he getting some heat for that Hulk Hogan announcement. The fans are really letting him have it as Gorilla and Jesse put over the announcement and say we will hear from Tito Santana when we come back! *COMMERCIAL* -Prime Time is back and Tito Santana is here with Wahoo McDaniel. They put over their issues with the Horsemen and how they play the system. Ric Flair is ducking and dodging Hulk Hogan but Tito is going to make him pay for it this weekend. He knows that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and he is going to fulfill it. Wahoo McDaniel talks about training with Ric Flair and knowing everything he can and cannot do in that ring. He puts over how he is going to be right there to help Tito with the Horsemen and he knows that by hook or by crook there will be a winner the right way! Jesse and Gorilla put it over and then our next contest... The Tonga Kid vs Bad News Brown -Another really fun match tonight with Prime Time continuing to roll. Bad News and Tonga both get into the TV title tournament this weekend but tonight they get a primer. Tonga Kid flies all over the ring to get some offense going and it works. Bad News turns the tables and gets some heat but then Tonga fires back and comes with some fists of fire and then he looks to finish as he goes up top for a flying cross body but Bad News catches him and SLAMS him down hard on the mat! The crowd gasps and Bad News gets the 3-count out of nowhere. This guy is dangerous and Jesse and Gorilla put him over as perhaps the unsung favorite of the tournament and he’s able to turn the lights out that quick! *COMMERCIAL* -Prime Time returns with Gorilla and Jesse putting over SNME this weekend. They talk about Hulk Hogan taking on the Super Invader II. Jesse says that it may end up being him underneath the mask of this huge masked man but Gorilla says he would have stunt men doing that kind of work for him now. Jesse resents his remarks.They talk about Demo vs the Bulldogs and the big title match with Flair and Tito. They talk about the 15-man battle royal and what is at stake for the winner. They turn their attention to another big match here tonight with Shawn Michaels and Paul Roma! Shawn Michaels w/ Marty Jannetty vs Paul Roma w/ Jimmy Hart & Hercules -A pretty good contest here with Michaels putting on some good stuff but Roma isn’t quite there as a singles. He and Shawn go about 8-minutes but it ends up as sloppy mess with a double DQ finish. We see Hercules get involved with leads to Marty Jannetty. All four men jump into the mix and we get pure chaos as Jimmy Hart is in awe of what is going on here! *COMMERCIAL* -Prime Time is back for the final segment and out come the Horsemen, Heenan, and the ladies Angel and Sherri. They run up and down about all things Horsemen and put everyone in their place. Here are some highlights… Bobby Heenan: What a whirlwind couple of weeks it has been and it has been the best of my life! I have got the Horsemen, I have got the women, I have got the World Title and I have got the IC Title… soon we’ll have the television championship and the World Tag Team Championship! Things can only continue to go up from here… but for some of you… they will go down. Hulk Hogan… you heard Jack Tunney say it loud and proud that you are finished with the World Title. Never again will you get the chance to get your hands on this title and Hogan nothing makes me happier! For those of us who saw the event, everyone knows that Ric Flair put you down 1...2...3 and it was that simple and that easy! Now… we move on. Tito Santana… you pal are going to get what is coming to you. You wanna come out here with the Big Chief and think it is something special… we don’t flinch for such chicanery. The Horsemen have a focus and that is to keep this title right here around my waist and if you think for a second you can come in here outta nowhere and try me… ha… pal you better think again. MAIN EVENT The Rockers vs Power & Glory w/ Jimmy Hart -A pretty hot match here with these four guys leaving it in the ring and don’t forget about Jimmy Hart doing some great work outside the ring. He is pumping up his men in a big way and seems to have a great rapport with these guys from the onset. Michaels and Jannetty really have a lot of speed behind their moves and bring some great spots to the action but it is the influence of Jimmy Hart that tells the tale. The Rockers go up top for a double fist drop but it is Jimmy Hart grabs the ropes and Marty comes crashing down and nuts himself. Shawn jumps off the ropes and makes chase for Jimmy but this sets up Hercules for a SUPERPLEX and then Roma for a SPLASH and the 1….2…..3!! Then I got back to the state dude and I sat down and talked to a person I never thought I would call a friend. This guy told me what happened. He told me about Bobby Heenan and brother I became filled with a rage and a madness I have never been filled with before. These four have had some problems for quite some time and now it comes to fruition here on Superstars of Wrestling. This one gets some time and goes about 12-minutes. We see Honky and Valentine work pretty well together and they isolate the Hitman to work him over. We see the formulaic hot tag to the Anvil who comes in like a house of fire and he is rocking all over the ring. He is tossing Valentine and Honky all over the place and he is looking to finish but out of nowhere Valentine with a low blow block and Anvil goes down. It looks like The Hammer and Honky will get the best of the Harts here but out of the back run the Rockers! Shawn and Marty grab Jimmy Hart in the aisleway. This distracts the Hammer who turns around and Bret Hart with a dropkick right to his mush! He flies out of the ring. Bret turns around and Honky runs for a clothesline but Bret ducks… Honky turns and the Anvil grabs him and hoists him up while the Hitman hit the ropes and HART ATTACK! 1….2…..3!!! The Harts win it and the crowd pops. Valentine and Jimmy are irate outside of the ring while Honky is on wobbly legs! I am very interested to see how things she out from the tournament and my oh my the NWA is really cooking right now. Without a doubt, Nikita is in line to be THEE man in the NWA and I am hoping to see it come to fruition sooner than later. I also echo the movement of the Warrior... in 86 he was getting beat up by Phil Hickerson but he isn't far from being a big star.

American Flag as a foreign weapon... LOVE IT I also love the Adonis weigh gimmick. Now I like this idea of Les Duc getting a push but at 17-minutes it is hard to see him being upset. That time seems a little long for me... but just an opinion.

I like the team of Steamboat and Garvin too... some fun dynamics there... plus Saito and Bock are underrated as well. Piper and Roberts at this point would be quite the entertaining event.

What a second night... so many surprises... and I will go on record that I am not the biggest on the Japanese contingent doing so well... no offense to Gordi but it just surprises me in a big way. Also while I am on record... Martel could might lose the NWA title to Gordi in the shape he is. Great stuff to keep me hooked!

Well Slick got the Russians... Hart got Power and Glory. It was a confusing turn of events but hopefully good for all involved.

WWF Presents: Prime Time Wrestling 4/28 Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from: St. Louis, MO – Kiel Auditorium -Prime Time opens this week with a limo arrival of the Horsemen and they are dressed to the nines with some gold and some mysterious women… Heenan says this will be a night to remember… we cut inside the arena with Jesse and Gorilla putting over the big card including a special singles match between two tag team competitors! Right now we have tag team action from one of the up and coming teams in the WWF… the Rockers! The Rockers vs Barry Horowitz & Steve Lombardi -A pretty solid outing for Marty and Shawn tonight as they put on a nice contest with two good hands. Nothing spectacular but it is the after match shenanigans that make this one interesting. During the contest we hear Jimmy Hart come into the scene and he is with Valentine & Honky along with his new team… Hercules and Paul Roma… The Rockers hit a double dropkick and get the win but this is just getting started… -Hart is putting over the big tag title match this week on Superstars. He says that when all is said and done he will have all the right pieces to win the tag titles either with Valentine & Honky or with his newest team… Hercules and Paul Roma… THE POWER AND THE GLORY! They all pump up the big signing but the Rockers don’t seem to be impressed. They come over to the set and put over how Roma and Hercules have been ducking them and if they want to prove to everything they are a real team… the Rockers challenge them to a match this week on Challenge! Hart accepts and just like that his weekend got that much more full! *COMMERCIAL* -Prime Time is back with Gorilla and Jesse putting over the Harts as the tag champs and the strong tag team division. Tonight we’ll see two tag wrestlers in singles action! We see the Bulldogs come out and they cut a promo on Demolition, Muraco, Sika, and Mr. Fuji. They put over how Andre the giant is hurt right now and had a broken arm. They know that Andre will be back when the time is right and there is no doubt that Sika will pay. We then see Dino Bravo come out and join the Bulldogs and says he isn’t 100% but he will be there for them tonight when they need it! Davey Boy Smith vs Demolition Ax w/ Mr. Fuji -Lots of chaos to start this one before officials come out and reprimand everyone to the back. Muraco, Smash, Sika, Dynamite, and Bravo have to go but Fuji stays and we see a great contest here for about 9-minutes. Some may remember Ax being a great singles star and he shows off some ability here tonight while Davey Boy can handle his own. We see Ax control most of the contest but Davey Boy fights back until he hits the ropes and Fuji NAILS him with the cane! This gives Ax a chance to roll him up with a handful of tights for the 3-count and the crowd is irate! Fuji and Ax get out of dodge while Davey Boy holds his back in pain! *COMMERCIAL* -Prime Time is back and we see footage from this past weekend in which Jimmy Hart and Slick exchanged some money and talent. Jimmy Hart got Power and Glory while Slick got some money and with that money he did this… Slick: Well let me tell you something Go-Rilla Monsoon…. I have traveled the world to find the biggest and the baddest. This man right here (One Man Gang) is going to be the one to bring the hammer down my man and brother he can do it to anyone that he wants. You are going to see that tonight but you see…. I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on a little gold brutha… and with that I wanted to put together a tag team that meant business! I wanted to put a tag team together that struck fear into the hearts of every man, woman, and child who saw em. When my man Jimmy Hart and I traded some talent for some money… well brutha I put that money to work and I decided to get me a little IMPORT action if you will. So tonight… I introduce to you… two men who are bigger and badder than any tag team in wrassling… Nikolai and Boris… the RUSSIAN ASSASSINS! -Out walk Boris Zhukov and Nikolai Volkoff and they look pretty good here. They get a good ooo and aaaahhh from the crowd as Slick puts them over in a big way. We then cut to the ring for our six-man tag main event... Tonga Kid, Jim Powers, & SD Jones vs The Russian Assassins & The One Man Gang w/ Slick -Pretty great showing here from the Russians who are some pretty decent hands in short bursts. We get to see them beat the shit out of Jones and Powers pretty good. Tonga Kid is able to hold his own a little bit but nothing doing when the One Man Gang gets involved and really starts to wear him down! The finish sees the Russians grab Jim Powers. Boris holds him on his shoulders for a powerslam and then Nikolai comes off the middle rope with an elbow to the back of the neck and then the Boris Powerslam for the 3-count! Then we see the Russians really start to put the boots to him but out of the back comes Bull Ganter and the Bull is hot! He comes out and rips away his shirt asking for a fight with the Gang but nothing doing. These two have a lot of history and my oh my they could get it on right now but the Gang smirks and backs up.When will these two clash and what will happen when they do?!?! *COMMERCIAL* -We are back on Prime Time and Jesse and Gorilla build it up as we hear the music. First we see Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard walk out followed by Bobby Heenan and Intercontinental Champion Barry Windham. Then we see a spotlight on the entryway as Ric Flair emerges with two beautiful women… -Gorilla and Jesse put over Flair’s arrival with the rest of the Horsemen. Gorilla is going nuts about the circumstances of how the title changed hands. Jesse is too busy putting over the beautiful women. We hear Heenan announce that the women are Sherri and Angel. He puts over how they are the personal secretaries of the Horsemen and will be dealing with some of the ins and outs of being champions and the top talent in the world. Heenan says he will have his hands full managing the careers of the top four wrestlers in the world but with their help it will be done. We then hear from each of the Horsemen… Arn Anderson: We told you it wouldn’t take long. We told you that the time was come. Well the time is now… the place is here… the Horsemen have arrived. We came here to get the World Title and we’ve got it! Now… it is all about the fixings. With the World Title and the IC title… there are two left…. The tag titles… Hart Foundation… we know you’ve got your hands full… but they are about to get overloaded…. Because we’re coming! Tully Blanchard: That’s right Arn… you see it is all about the fixings right now. Look at Sherri… look at Angel… haha… it doesn’t get any better. Like Double A said… Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart… you better understand that the target on your back just got that much bigger. I almost feel naked out here… but I have got an Angel on my arm so it is okay… but my waist… my waist wants some gold and the gold you two have is the gold we want and we are on the hunt! Barry Windham: You know just a couple of months ago I sat there and looked around and saw a couple of guys fighting for a coming good. We called ourselves a “Family” but we were not joined like this unit. Bobby Heenan and I spoke and we talked about putting this together… bringing in the Horsemen… and it was at Hogan’s expense which makes it that much better. Now on to my business… Randy Savage… you my friend have been that thorn on my heel. I have picked you out but somehow stepped on you again. Well Savage I have stepped on you for the list time and now I squish you. I know we don't have anything completely formal but I would say stick around for the next week or two give some feedback see if we can come up with a solid list to hook you up with the start. Do you have any idea what kind of a promotion you would like to run? I know we could jump you right in if you wanted to do Mexico or even the idea of doing the southwestern promotion and Us Talent. If you were looking at just a US promotion it would take a little mix and match with the individuals that we have right now but it could be done.

I also like this Chris Adams storyline. I know the Gino died I wasn't sure what I could do with him and you have taken him to a new level. That is awesome and the best part is that everyone wants to see what is going to happen next. When it happens it will be something but the story after the climax is going to be really special. I am really hoping that Spiveymania can find its way back to the top at some point but Piper isn't having that shit.
