1983 Project General Chatter Thread
At this point here is the draft order... 1986 Fresh Face Draft WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar AWA - Rain World Class - Gene WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni Round 1 WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar - TRADED TO USWA AWA - Rain World Class - Gene - TRADED TO USWA WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni - TRADED TO USWA Round 2 WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar AWA - Rain World Class - Gene - TRADED TO AWA WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni - TRADED TO USWA Round 3 WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar AWA - Rain World Class - Gene WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni Round 4 WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar AWA - Rain World Class - Gene WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni If any changes happen over the weekend I will do work and put it together. We will start the draft on Monday morning... if there is a call to start it earlier, we can do so as to get it done. We can prolly do a 12 hour cap between picks... shouldn't be that bad and we should finish within a couple of days. Remember the elimination rules of the draft... Once you "quit" the draft, the order by which everyone quits designates the order for the next years draft... but you must quit on your draft pick. (i.e. Someone with a 4th round pick only cannot just quit at the beginning and get first pick in the next draft) One thing to remember... rookies drafted are not available on your roster until January 1st. The freelancers will finish their freelance dates and then be fully yours on January 1st. Any questions, let me know.

WWF on Tour December 1985
WWF Presents: Wrestling Challenge Hosted By: Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby the Brain Heenan Matches from: St. Louis, MO – Kiel Auditorium Curt Hennig defeated Johnny Blaze Manny Fernandez defeated Kenny Wallace The Mercenaries w/ Mr. Fuji defeated Rob Wright & Ken Star The Fantastics defeated Ryan & Mark Green MAIN EVENT Barry Windham vs The Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart -A great main event here for Challenge but ends up in kind of a cluster. Rick Rude comes out and is trying to taunt Windham the entire time. Brutus Beefcake comes out as he has been having a tough time with Honky and the Hart family as of late to try and even the odds and before too long this one breaks loose. We get a big two on two battle in the ring before Bobby Heenan is shown walking to the ring with KING KONG BUNDY! Bundy comes in and he hammers Windham from behind. Here comes Greg Valentine to help and it is 4 on 2 with Brutus and Windham getting beaten down! The crowd is white hot for the return of Bundy and now it looks like the Heenan Family is stronger than ever with Bundy, Rude, & Gino! SNME REPORT: MAIN EVENT WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Hulk Hogan © vs Gino Hernandez w/ Bobby Heenan WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Demolition vs The Fabulous Ones © w/ Jimmy Hart Barry Windham vs Ravishing Rick Rude w/ Bobby Heenan Tito Santana’s Team vs Randy Savage’s Team in a 5 on 5 special challenge Gino Hernandez: I can only laugh when it comes to SNME and the possibility of you walking out with the WWF Championship Hogan. I will go up front and let it be known that Dibiase did send some money my way to put you out… and it was enough to buy a new Corvette. Well I was riding in that the other night and I got to thinking about how nice it would be to have that title around my waist. Now I have told Bobby Heenan… Gino Hernandez is in business for himself at this point. I am going to put everything on the Handsome Half-Breed and in this game of Roulette it is you Hogan who is going to roll SNAKE EYES! Hulk Hogan: I guess a lot of people are already tuned in and turned up to this match Hernandez and I can’t help but wonder just what you could possibly do to try and put me down. You see I have been in there with the biggest and the baddest but you amigo are something different. I have looked over everything and know that you will go low to get the W but brother… don’t tempt me to go low too. I will dig down and do whatever it takes to keep this WWF Championship. On NBC and SNME… I am coming for you brother. I am not the hunted but I am the HUNTER and you are the biggest game and whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania strikes on you! WWF Presents: Superstars of Wrestling Hosted By: Vince McMahon & Jesse ‘ The Body’ Ventura Matches from: St. Louis, MO – Kiel Auditorium The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff w/ Freddie Blassie defeated John Shaw & Zion Felts Dino Bravo defeated Mike Micheals Jim Powers & Paul Roma defeated Ned Fredricks & Bobby Brown Ted Dibiase w/ Big Bossman defeated Jack Morris MAIN EVENT Barry Windham vs The Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart -A great main event here for Challenge but ends up in kind of a cluster. The Body Shop w/ Tito Santana & Randy Savage -Jesse starts by putting over last week’s picks and talking about the size of the One Man Gang and Andre the Giant but both men have to pick something that will help them survive over the long haul if one of these men get hurt… Tito Santana: You see Randy Savage… I am working with my partner to pick the best team and we believe we’ve done that. You see we want all the way to the Pacific Northwest and we are welcoming Billy Jack Haynes to the team! ARRRIBA! Randy Savage: For being a good competitor in the ring you are just a very unwise individual Tito Santana… especially to take the advice of Andre the Giant. We know he is big but that doesn’t mean he’s smart. You see… this Intercontinental Championship has been around my waist for almost one year now and brother it isn’t going anywhere. That’s because I have got the brains and I have got the brute and brother I have got the brawn with my next pick… he is returning to the WWF with his manager Mr. Fuji… the Magnificent Don Muraco! -Jesse gives Savage the edge here and puts over how Muraco could beat Billy Jack with his eyes closed and also talks about the help that Mr. Fuji will bring to the team! Next week these two will pick the final two team members… will there be some new talent that could shift the tide!?!?

Trade deals
That is your choice. I do not want you to quit as you are a vital piece to the puzzle, I just want to make sure that everyone is playing on the same field, especially with a new writer inheriting a lot of intangibles with a promotion the size of MACW.
-
Trade deals
I just don't want to see anyone (especially a new writer) manipulated in any way (by losing draft picks). I spoke with Spaldoni, we discussed the trade, he said he understood and was good with it. The draft is essential to have individuals gather new talent. This is how they build that talent to possibly trade in the future or make as a homemade star. When individuals lose those picks for one reason or another it diminishes some of that opportunity. I know for me, I didn't take any rookies last year... I drafted Andre. Since then, I have worked out a way to get a rookie Sting, someone I am excited about using and building along with other rookies. That is the bigger picture part of the game, the longevity of creating a sense of ownership to the roster with the rookies and fresh faces. If individuals lose out on those, then we could have ramifications in the long run. This is not a personal issue with you, rather the entirety of running a project and trying to make it as equitable as possible for all parties involved to help create a sense of creativity and encourage longer activity.

Two wrestlers for a wrestler and two draft picks... Along with a manager... I'll go ahead and admit everyone has their choice with trades but this is one-sided.

Best weekly TV run?
WCW October 1990 to May 1991 Saturday Night is pretty good along with some Main Events sprinkled in as follow ups to angles and matches that are promoted. I am sure with the Dangerous Alliance coming up (Just getting to October), the television will continue to improve with all of them involved.

The trade put Baby Doll on the MACW roster. That's where she belongs based off of that. Why should Spaldoni lose her because Fenton left? I know you feel short changed here. Like I stated earlier... The trade with him for the pick becomes null since he left the game. His roster did not leave the game. If Spaldoni wants to give you Baby Doll that's his call... But that trade went through and then he left. That's a process we have kept since the beginning.

1983 Project General Chatter Thread
I thought it was fair enough that I gave you the World Class trade back. Initially that should be a MACW pick since you guys traded draft spots. If we want to go the Baby Doll route, then that pick should go back to Gene or to Spaldoni. I know the risk with trade stuff sucks but this is the best way to be consistent if something goes through.

1983 Project General Chatter Thread
Hey guys... little change...Spaldoni is going to be taking over MACW. In regards to the draft... the one issue is with the change in ownership. The original MACW pick is forfeit and then a new MACW pick is given to Spaldoni since it is a different owner. At this point, this is what I have and can change.... 1986 Fresh Face Draft WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar AWA - Rain World Class - Gene WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni Round 1 WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar - TRADED TO USWA AWA - Rain World Class - Gene - TRADED TO USWA WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni Round 2 WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar AWA - Rain World Class - Gene - TRADED TO AWA WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni Round 3 WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar AWA - Rain World Class - Gene WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni Round 4 WWF - Low Blow USWA - Kevin Lutte - Edgar AWA - Rain World Class - Gene WWC - Dawho5 MACW - Spaldoni I believe this is reflective of all the deals... let me know if it isn't.

SNME REPORT: MAIN EVENT WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Hulk Hogan © vs Gino Hernandez w/ Bobby Heenan WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Demolition vs The Fabulous Ones © w/ Jimmy Hart Barry Windham vs Ravishing Rick Rude w/ Bobby Heenan Tito Santana’s Team vs Randy Savage’s Team in a 5 on 5 special challenge Gino Hernandez: Well I guess the WWF finally got the point… they are giving me the chance that I have been waiting for… for far too long! You see Hulk Hogan… I have been an Intercontinental Champion… I have been a tag team champion… and now it is time for me to become the WWF Champion and you are right in my way. You see a lot of people talk about diamond rings and fancy cars well brother I have got them all. I have got a Diamond for every finger and one for each ear. I have got a Rolex watch for every day of the week and two for Sunday! Hulk Hogan, you sit here and talk about the fans like they give you some kind of power… brother I saw your power last week splattered on the mat after I cracked your skull with the WWF title! On Saturday Night’s Main Event… I am going to meet you in that ring and in front of Millions of People, I am going to embarrass you and show everyone why I am without a doubt the best wrestler this world has ever seen! Hulk Hogan: Well lemme tell you something Gino Hernandez… I have heard about you before you came to the WWF and I have watched you since you’ve been here. I know all the tricks you have brother and I know exactly what Bobby Heenan has got up his sleeve. You see I have been in the ring with every bad dude that Bobby Heenan has put in front of me and now with the Multi-Million Dollar Man out there behind this whole thing I know your game. Let me put it down like this for you Gino… when NBC fires up the lights for Saturday Night’s Main Event dude… it is going to be me and you and you can consider me the Grinch because I am going to steal any hope you have of taking my title! It even goes as far as the Anvil yelling down at Jimmy which causes Bret to knock heads with him and get rolled up by Smash for the 3-count! There is a major disagreement out here with the Harts and Jimmy. The Hammer and Honky come out to try and smooth things over…. Jesse Ventura’s Body Shop w/ Tito Santana and Randy Savage! -Jesse Ventura welcomes everyone into the Body Shop and puts over how this All Star Elimination Match could quite possibly be the biggest match in the history of SNME! He puts over how the team captains are a little lopsided, but he understands that Chico Santana has got a big surprise for his first participant. We then see both men come out and Savage has got some swank tights on with bright purple cowboy boots. He is rocking the IC title and Elizabeth looks amazing. Randy Savage: I have got a partner who could take on a whole army by himself. I have got a partner who could run rough shot over any offensive line in the NFL including that of the New England Patriots! I have got a partner who stands over 6’10 and weighs in over 400 pounds… I have got the ONE MAN GANG! Tito Santana: Well Randy, I can say that the One Man Gang is a very impressive partner… you see I wanted to come out swinging and brother I have done that. My partner for this event is a man who I have teamed with before and someone I can rely on through any situation… he is the 8th wonder of the world… ANDRE THE GIANT! -Ventura puts over these two behemoths who come out and join their captains. What an event about to take place with Andre and the Gang joining the forces of Santana and Savage… who else could they add to the frey next week?!

WWF on Tour November 1985
WWF Live November 25th New York City, NY – Madison Square Garden Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse the Body Ventura Demolition vs The Hart Foundation w/ Jimmy Hart -A good opening contest with both teams looking really good but the story continues to unfold here with The Hart Foundation having problems with Jimmy Hart. It even goes as far as the Anvil yelling down at Jimmy which causes Bret to knock heads with him and get rolled up by Smash for the 3-count! There is a major disagreement out here with the Harts and Jimmy. The Hammer and Honky come out to try and smooth things over…. Dino Bravo vs Hercules w/ Bobby Heenan -Good back and forth contest for Bravo and Hercules as both men go power for power. Heenan is trying to get Hercules to swap things and do something different but it isn’t getting through and it ends up causing the miscommunication that leads to Bravo getting a big roll up and victory. The crowd pops for Bravo who looks good here tonight. He has got some strength, power, and charisma and an opportunity in front of him. TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fantastics vs The Fabulous Ones w/ Jimmy Hart -A really great 20-minute tag team contest with these four going at a breakneck pace. We see the formulaic concept of the faces starting strong before the heels cheats to get some heat. The quick rebuild by the faces only to be cut off and then build to the hot tag which ensues chaos in and around the ring. The final moments see Bobby and Tommy with a pair of double dropkicks on Kiern sending him out of the ring and then to Lane that almost sends him over the ropes. Lane holds on while the referee admonishes Fulton and puts him out of the ring before Rogers hits the ropes but gets CRACKED by Jimmy Hart’s megaphone before falling into a crescent kick from Lane for the 3 count! Barry Windham vs Rick Rude w/ Bobby Heenan -This one has been brewing for quite some time and it boils over here with a quick 8-minute brawl that goes all over ringside. The referee tries to get involved but gets pushed away by both men. Even Bobby Heenan is staying back here as Rude goes to nail Windham with a chair but he ducks and he nails the ringpost with the steel! Windham with some shorthand rights before grabbing Rude and running him into the ring post and BOOM! Rick Rude is busted WIDE OPEN! The referee calls for the bell and awards Windham the bout via DQ but Rude is an absolute mess right now as Heenan is trying to cover him up and help him. Officials and agents come out to break this up but there is more to this war that needs to be settled! INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Billy Jack Haynes vs Randy Savage © w/ Elizabeth -A slow down 15-minute contest with Savage looking supreme here against Haynes. Billy Jack gets some power moves in and Savage makes him look money here tonight but it is the Macho Man and we know he has got the smarts. He is able to counter the full nelson right before Billy Jack locks it up and run him into the ring post before rolling him up with a handful of tights for the victory! Jake Roberts vs Gino Hernandez w/ Bobby Heenan -Heenan still has Rude’s blood on him for this contest. Gino looks amazing right now and really shows off his skills in the ring. Jake Roberts is starting to come into his own with regards to his psychology in the ring. We see him go for the DDT on a couple of different occasions and even once he gets it but Heenan throws Hernandez’ foot on the rope! The finish sees Jake go for the DDT again but Hernandez back drops him over the top to the floor. The referee counts to 10 when unbenounced to him Heenan was grabbing Jake’s foot the whole time from under the ring! Hernandez and Heenan celebrate before Jake throws the Snake in the ring to scare them off. WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Hulk Hogan vs The Iron Sheik w/ Freddie Blassie -A simple showcase for Hogan who takes on Sheik here tonight. It is only about 10-minutes to warm up for the Main Event. Sheik gets some heat on Hogan’s back before locking in the clutch only for Hogan to Hulk Hogan and take him out for the big leg and the 3-count. Hogan poses but he’s got $25,000 on the line in a few minutes. MAIN EVENT $25,000 BATTLE ROYAL Featuring: Greg Valentine, Honky Tonk Man, Demo Smash, Demo Ax, Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Dino Bravo, Hercules, Bobby Fulton, Tommy Rogers, Steve Kiern, Stane Lane, Barry Windham, Billy Jack Haynes, Randy Savage, Jake Roberts, Gino Hernandez, Hulk Hogan, The Iron Sheik, Andre the Giant, Ted Dibiase, Nikolai Volkoff, One Man Gang, Tito Santana, & Bobby Heenan Gino Hernandez won the $25,000 Battle Royal! -The final moments saw Andre the Giant eliminated by Ted Dibiase and the One Man Gang before Hulk Hogan eliminated both of them. This led to Gino Hernandez (who was presumed eliminated) to come back in the ring and eliminate Hogan much to the chagrin of the fans! Hernandez got the bag with $25,000 but Hogan came back in and beat him up and then starting tossing the money out to the fans and posing! Announcement for the return to MSG on December the 30th for the FINAL SHOW of 1985!!! MAIN EVENT Hulk Hogan & Andre the Giant vs Ted Dibiase & The One Man Gang w/ Big Bossman INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Tito Santana vs Randy Savage © w/ Elizabeth TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Demolition vs The Fabulous Ones © w/ Jimmy Hart Barry Windham vs Rick Rude w/ Bobby Heenan The Fantastics vs The Sheepherders Dino Bravo & Billy Jack Haynes vs Greg Valentine & The Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart Brutus Beefcake vs Gino Hernandez
