Dirt Sheets
WWF NEWS Preliminary ratings are in and the WWF did exactly what they wanted with their Main Event II special on NBC. This has secured the WWF rights to promote more Saturday Night’s Main Event shows over 1985-1986 and also to promote a Main Event III, although that won’t be for a while. WWF officials are very happy about the working relationship with NBC and hope to continue to build off that in the future with 1986 already having six Saturday Night Main Event specials on the books. Speaking of events, the WWF is closing in on a deal to promote TWO closed circuit events next year. The first coming in March with WrestleMania II and the other coming in August. This event would be a bigger summer blow off show to load up for the winter months. In regards to WrestleMania, multiple cities have put in claims to host the event. While Toronto and Los Angeles are the top contenders, many wonder if going out of the country is too much of a risk. While the WWF is very strong in Toronto and Montreal, Lutte and the NWA still have claim to that territory and that is a stronghold for them. Detroit, Chicago, and Miami have all be notable locations for WrestleMania II as well… but unlikely given their markets in comparison to that of a New York or Los Angeles where the show is likely to end up. Kerry Von Erich has returned to World Class following his departure from the WWF. Von Erich was promised some big things from Vince McMahon but not really fulfilled and knew it would be better to get back home where he is without a doubt the biggest drawing card in the promotion. The Fabulous Ones will be coming into the WWF and one has to wonder exactly what their role will be. Early talks have them joining up with Jimmy Hart, but where does that leave the Hart Foundation? At the television tapings last night, it was Mr. Fuji, not Gary Hart coming out with Sika and the Missing Link. It looks like they will make that transition quickly on television with Hart’s contract expiring and him being “banished” from the company. One has to wonder if there was just one too much Hart in the WWF locker room. Expect a resurgence in regards to the Heenan family in the next couple of weeks. There is talk of making Rick Rude and Hercules Hernandez heavyweight contenders for Hulk Hogan while many are wishing and waiting for a Hulk Hogan vs Gino Hernandez match up to take place. There is talk right now of building up Hercules as the world’s strongest man to set up the feud with Hogan. There is a lot of controversy surrounding what has happened with Nikita Koloff and his release from the WWF and signing with UWF. Why would the WWF give up their biggest heel act? Well the word is out of Koloff… both Hogan and Andre had the ear of Vince McMahon and let it be known that he couldn’t work and they wouldn’t do business with him. Nikita has a monstrous look and someone who could legit threaten Hogan but even the Hulkster wouldn’t let him shine. Hogan was quoted as saying, “Listen brother, at the end of the day it is about safety in that ring. We could draw a sell out for every show we went too, but if I can’t work because of being hurt by my opponent then there is no reason to keep having it. Me and the Boss (Assuming Andre) both gave him a shot, but at this level there is no time to train to be better. You have to be at your best every night or the crowd will notice it. Not only did they notice it, but so did my body. I am in the worst shape of my career after this last month due to those matches and wouldn’t wish that upon anyone. I have to rehab now in order to get back and get out on the road. I work 7 days a week and sometimes work doubles on the weekends. I am entertaining people all across the country night in and night out and I can’t do that with someone who could seriously hurt me, like he almost did.” A lot can be interpreted from that quote by Hogan but everyone is on the page that Hogan was telling the truth or that he was intimidated by Nikita’s look. There was even talk of turning Koloff babyface to have him team with Hogan at one point to try and make a super power team but it was turned down by Hulk. It seems as though there is only one spotlight in the WWF and may only be room for one man in it. That man casts a huge shadow but has got a lot of credibility to back up that he is worth the price, worth the headache, and well worth opinion when it comes to making money and bringing people to the shows.

WWF on Tour September 1985
WWF Presents: The MAIN EVENT II Live Monday September 30, 1985 Madison Square Garden New York, New York Airing on NBC & The MSG Network Your hosts: Vince McMahon & Jesse the Body Ventura Vince McMahon: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Madison Square Garden. Welcome to NBC and the MSG Network. Welcome to the MAIN EVENT II! I am Vince McMahon alongside Jesse Ventura. Jesse, tonight we have got one of the biggest matches in the history of the WWF! Jesse Ventura: Listen to me right now McMahon… I am going on record… tonight you are going to see a match that will go down in history… but history will indeed be made when Nikita Koloff wins the WWF TITLE! Because I know Hulk Hogan isn’t 100% and that Nikita Koloff is in the best shape of his life and hungrier for that title than any challenger Hogan has ever face! Vince: Jesse, I couldn’t disagree with you more and I think that the 20,000 strong here would do the same. Tonight it is a cage match… Hulk Hogan and Nikita Koloff. All the rumors surrounding the event. The Cage. The Title on the Line. Andre the Giant outside the ring. Jesse, what is it really going to come down to? Jesse: Well McMahon… it is going to come down to brute force…. That is Nikita’s specialty! You see every once in awhile Hulk Hogan gets the power of these people… but that’s not going to happen tonight. He may get the power but he is going to run into the true strongest force in the world in Nikita Koloff! Vince: Fans we will have interviews with Hulk Hogan, Nikita Koloff, and Andre the Giant coming up in just a couple of moments. We want to take you back and show you how this feud has come to be…. -We get a big time video package going all the way back to Nikita Koloff putting Hogan down with the chain. We see the big SNME rematch with Kerry Von Erich being Hogan’s teammate. We see the epic one on one encounter. We then finalize with a showcase of Nikita killing jobbers week in and week out. We see all the Russian Sickles and all the stretchers. We see the final piece when Nikita hit Hogan on Superstars yesterday with the Russian Chain, almost crushing his throat…. We will have words from the competitors when we come back! *COMMERCIAL* Mean Gene: Fans welcome back to the Main Event. Joining me right now is Nikita Koloff with his Uncle Ivan. Gentlemen… we had heard the rumors… we know the facts… money was spread around. You two are nothing more than hired guns to take the title from Hulk Hogan… but who is the benefactor? Ivan Koloff: Need you not worry Gene Mean… understand that we were sent by the Kremlin to destroy Hulk Hogan. We were sent here to bring the WWF Title back to Russia. Hulk Hogan… you have surrounded yourself with many men… all of which have fallen to the Russian Nightmare. Know this Hulk Hogan… inside that cage tonight will only be Nikita Koloff. He will stand there across from you and you will not be able to run and you will not be able to hide. Now… you talk of benefactor… you talk of conspiracy…. Gene Okerlund… there is no conspiracy there is only Nikita Koloff… the next WWF CHAMPION! Nikita Koloff: HOGAN! Time has run out for you. I will see you inside the steel and I will DESTROY YOU! Mean Gene: Fans there is it… let’s go to Lord Alfred Hayes... Lord Alfred: Thank you Gene… joining me is the biggest athlete in the world… Andre the Giant. Andre, tonight you are not a competitor but rather the enforcer to make sure no one can get inside that cage. There has been a lot of talk about money… but Andre…. Everyone wants to know just where do you stand? Andre: I stand for myself. Tonight I will do what is best for me. -Andre then walks off…. Lord Alfred: Fans… he is a man of few words and many actions… we will see what his decision is tonight. Back to you Gene…. Mean Gene: Hulk Hogan… I can see the brace around your neck… come on in here… tonight you face a mountain of a man in Nikita Koloff inside the steel cage. We know that there was money thrown around. We don’t know if you can trust Andre the Giant. We don’t know if you neck is going to hold up. Hulk, what are your thoughts going into this grave match up?! Hulk Hogan: (Rips the neck brace off) WELL YOU KNOW SOMETHING MEAN GENE…. It was a long trip up the coast to get here to MSG tonight brother and I had a lot of time to think I had a lot of time to digest. And brother I had a lot of time to ask the big guy in the sky just what to do here tonight! You know something Mean Gene… he told me what to do man. He told me the most important thing and that was to believe in yourself! He told me to not worry about what has happened but to focus on what is in front of me. Brother I searched long and hard for Andre the Giant and I couldn’t find him but now I see… Andre, brother I trust you and I know you have got my and your best intentions in mind. I know that if Monsters Inc comes out there, you are going to send them packing. I know if Ivan Koloff comes out… you are going to shove him into the ground. I know you have got my back brother. Mean Gene: That he may Hulk… but what about Nikita Koloff… what can you do to stop him? Hulk Hogan: Well that’s the thing Mean Gene… you look at the last couple of weeks and this guy has sent countless people to the hospital. He has a pile of broken necks as tall as me. This fight tonight is for all those guys who put their lives on the line against him. This is for all those Hulkamaniacs who have had to face their biggest fear in front of their face. Nikita Koloff… you my friend are a man like me. You have got a heart and soul like me. Yours is as black as night and as empty as space but mine is full brother. Mine is full of the love of all my Hulkamaniacs all over the world. Tonight they are stepping inside that cage with me and we are going to unload all of it all over you all over that cage and WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN THE POWER OF HULK HOGAN AND HULKAMANIA DESTROY YOU! Mean Gene: Woah… fans there you have it. Hulk Hogan is ready for the biggest fight of his professional career and it is about to go down inside that 15-foot high steel cage… it happens when we return! *COMMERCIAL* -We are back with Jesse and Vince giving the final run down. We see the entrances of Nikita, Andre, and Hogan. Jesse runs down the tale of the tape, putting over both men’s stats. He talks about the power and the strength but also how conditioning will be the key factor. It is about to go down as both men are inside the cage and Andre is outside! MAIN EVENT WWF CHAMPIONSHIP STEEL CAGE MATCH SPECIAL ENFORCER: Andre The Giant Hulk Hogan © vs Nikita Koloff -If there were every two men built for the sport of professional wrestling… it was these two. Without a shadow of a doubt, the biggest match in the rebirth of the WWF and it goes down right here in MSG, on cable television, inside the steel cage. The ambiance of Jesse and Vince putting it over in the biggest way is only heightened by seeing Andre the Giant outside the ring. His size dwarfs all those around him and you see him staring into the cage with Hulk Hogan looking at Nikita Koloff and fans it is on! These guys put together a really fun match. It starts with Hogan trying some offense but Nikita no-selling. Nikita then beats on Hogan a little but he no-sells. We get some tests of strength but neither man is diminishing in any way. Nikita then breaks Hogan down with a nasty shot to the throat and rams his head into the steel and we’ve got blood. Hogan hit a gusher and he is selling it big time. We get our first commercial break here… *COMMERCIAL* -We are back and Nikita is really laying into Hogan now and the crowd is chanting for him but the Hulkster is in the worst kind of way. Nikita is hammering down with some big time forearm shots but the Hulkster is feeling it. He is starting to build and build. Hulk then counters a couple of punches but Nikita no-sells but then Hogan grabs him and tosses him into the cage! He grabs him and tosses him to the other side! Nikita is busted wide open! The Russian is CUT! Nikita is starting to show signs of weakness if you can call it that. Hogan is like a shark and he is going after the cut! Nikita now tries to get out of the cage and shows his true colors but the Hulkster brings him back in and the crowd is going nuts! Nikita makes another effort to get out but once again Hogan with a backdrop and both men go down. Andre then looks down the aisle and here comes Ivan Koloff! Ivan is walking down and he is yelling at Andre who stands his ground. Even the referee turns to see what is going on and out from under the ring… what the hell? A masked man comes out from under the ring and slides in the Russian Chain to Nikita! Nikita gets up with the chain wrapped around his arm and nails Hogan in the back of the neck and he goes down! The masked man goes back under the ring! *COMMERCIAL* -The final stages of the contest see Hogan busted open and hurting from the Russian Chain. We see Nikita, weak for the first time, bloodied for the first time, trying to stay up as he’s obviously gassed. It is at his moment that Andre turns his back and here comes the Missing Link, Sika, and the Kamala! They run down to the ring and attack the Giant! They are beating him down but not for long as Kerry Von Erich and Jake Roberts run out and we get a six-man brawl before everyone clears out. Ivan Koloff is still lurking around as inside the ring Hogan stumbles up to his feet and Nikita with a running, flying, Russian Chain laden Russian Sickle puts the champion down! The crowd can’t believe it. Nikita is slow to get to his feet and he finally does. He starts to ascend the cage but when he looks down Hogan gets up and he is now Hulking Up! OH MY! He goes from his knees and gets up while Nikita is going over the top but Hogan catches him! Hogan pulls him back up and starts hammering away before grabbing him from the top of the cage for a SUPERPLEX! OH MY! THE RING SHOOK! Hogan minimally sells it before getting up and hitting the ropes for a LEG DROP! He goes to the cage and starts to climb up. Ivan is pulling Nikita inch by inch as Hogan gets up to the top of the cage and looks down before climbing down and reaching the floor as Ivan pulls Nikita’s body out! Hogan has won it and the crowd is going nuts! -This one is far from over though as the Hulkster jumps over and grabs Ivan before tossing him back into the ring! Hogan gets his licks in and gives him a big boot, bodyslam, and then picking him up and tossing him through the door to the floor! Hogan is posing big time here but now his back is to the door and that masked man is out here again… he slithers into the ring and goes to attack Hogan but he turns around! Hogan grabs him and threatens to hit him but there is another commotion in the aisle as here comes the One Man Gang and another huge man we have never seen dressed up like a security guard! These two monsters jump in the ring and attack Hogan from behind! They are taking turns beating him down inside the ring and then… they hold him for the masked man who looks out to the crowd… and takes his mask off… -THAT’S TED DIBIASE! DIBIASE IS BACK IN THE WWF! Ventura and McMahon are going crazy putting over how Dibiase was the benefactor! Dibiase makes the money sign before nailing Hogan with a stiff right hand and then grabbing the Title belt and CRACKING HIM in the skull! Hogan goes down hard in the ring before Dibiase and Company get out but here comes Andre, Kerry, and Jake. Dibiase and his boys are gone while we have officials and agents checking on Hogan… more when we come back! *COMMERCIAL* -We are back and Jesse and Vince are putting this over in the biggest way. The big story out of all of this is the return of Ted Dibiase and Vince is wondering what kind of deal was struck with Gary Hart to get the One Man Gang and Vince continues to question who that other guy was. Jesse says he tried to go to the back to get an interview but Dibiase was already in his limo out of here. Vince says he must have come into a lot of money to make this happen and wonders what President Jack Tunney will think of all these events. Jesse and Vince then put over how we will be back on NBC on October the 26th for Saturday Night’s Main Event from Long Island in the Nassau Coliseum. We will have information on that card in the coming weeks. Right now they have a “standby” match for the fans as we cut to the ring (footage from earlier). BillyJack Haynes vs Hercules w/ Bobby Heenan -A pretty solid 9-minute contest as it was a dark match from earlier in the evening. Heenan is in prime form here trying to will Hercules to a victory but things just aren’t happening that way. BillyJack has got some fun power and strength that puts him over and we see him go toe to toe with one of the strongest men in wrestling. Hercules does show off some big time strength and wears BillyJack down but Haynes has got some fight and we see him chop Hercules down and he goes for the big POWERSLAM! Heenan jumps up on the apron and here comes Haynes with a huge SHOT! Hercules runs and Billy moves for Hercules to nail Heenan off the apron. BillyJack then rolls him up for the 1...2….3! The crowd pops for a nice win as Vince and Jesse put this over and say we’ll be back with more after this… *COMMERCIAL* -We return to the Main Event with Mean Gene walking out of the medical office saying that Hulk Hogan has severe lacerations on his forehead from the cage, the Russian Chain, and the World Title belt. President Jack Tunney is showing nearby and Okerlund questions him. Tunney states that he has since fined and suspended the Russians and Gary Hart indefinitely. He says that when he see Ted Dibiase, he will have repercussions for his behavior as well. Gene wonders just what those will be and when Dibiase will show his face again. We cut back out to Vince and Jesse who put the night over. We see some stills and they talk about being back for Saturday Night’s Main Event on October the 26th from the Nassau Coliseum! Andre with a huge SLAM on Kamala and the Giant looks strong here until we see Gary Hart walk out with the One Man Gang, Sika, and Missing Link. The five men attack Andre enough to put him into the ropes and tie him up. Gary Hart then pulls out an envelope and puts it in Andre’s tights. He tells him that this is the final pay off and to do the right thing…. Monsters Inc. walks off and we see Andre get up… get out of the ropes and he opens the envelope and there are hundreds all over the place. He looks out to the fans as Bobby Heenan is screaming “TAKE THE MONEY! TAKE THE MONEY!”

Dirt Sheets
WWF NEWS There is a lot of intrigue and questions going into this week’s Main Event II on Monday night. A lot of the discussion has been about the pay of Nikita Koloff and subsequently, Ivan Koloff for their roles in the main event match. Hulk Hogan will of course be paid handsomely for his participation but there are some in the Koloff camp who are saying he is the draw. With Nikita’s recent push, one has to wonder if it isn’t true. He has been the one on television winning week in and week out. Hogan has solely done promos. Who is the draw and who should be paid more for the event? Speaking of pay, there are many who are calling for the WWF to put out more closed circuit events to have generate more revenue for the company. At this point, the WWF is eyeing WrestleMania II next March, and then looking at possibly a summer show. That summer show would look to be held in a stadium or arena that could be outdoors with a bigger capacity, much like the Showdown at Shea. Is there a match that the WWF could attract that kind of attention for? On the WWF house shows this weekend, look for a special card from Cleveland. They are calling it a Survivor Special, much like they did last November with Lutte International, the WWF is doing a card comprised of elimination matches. There are four, four on four matches signed for the card and the WWF is really taking a risk with this kind of show as Cleveland is usually a good house for them and this could end up backfiring if not successful. There has been chatter of Kerry Von Erich wanting to go back down to World Class with his father with its revival on a full time basis. Kerry was promised some things from Vince that have yet come to fruition… could he be out the door? Andre the Giant has been on the road more for the WWF in the last couple of weeks and expect that to lessen in the winter months. The Giant has a hard time traveling across the country and is said to be looking to go back to Japan. There is talk of the WWF trying to bring in a couple more tag teams to build the division up more. Expect Sika and Missing Link to become a full time team to start this build. Plus, Paul Roma & Jim Powers are beginning to get a push as a lower level team. They have good looks and a good makeup to be successful… but could they be successful against a team like the Harts or The Dynamic Duo? The WWF has been very high on “The Blade Runner” as of late. The athlete formerly known as Sting has really done well on the house shows and the All-American tapings. There is said to be a huge target on his back to be a big time star for the company if he can carry the load. There are some who think that the nightlife of the East Coast is getting the better of Gino Hernandez and Chris Adams who are known for their recreational drug use history. They are in a prime position for the WWF and should a problem occur… it could be a big deal with these two being removed from the company...

Taking over Japan would be awesome if it were his cup of tea. If not, then I have a couple of ideas on how to set him up with a roster. Tell him to get a hold of me.

Where is the 200 coming from? The only roster being thrown in is Boons at this point. If Dragon stops then we will put his in as well. A majority of those guys are piece players to fit specific holes. Those names along with the 3 from Japan and then the original fresh faces are nowhere near 200 are they?

1983 Project General Chatter Thread
Hey fellas, Just wanted to send a quick update... the last couple of weeks have been crazy busy for me. I have gotten all of my shows written through the 30th but just have not had a chance to give feedback. I will get going more here in Mid-October as the next couple of weeks will be just as busy. Everything I have seen has been fantastic and you guys are really kicking it into gear. We will look at doing the fresh face draft in December... which will be here before we know it... and then all individuals drafted will be active on January 1st. Keep doing work!

WWF on Tour September 1985
WWF All American Wrestling Nikita Koloff killed Lance Johnson - Stretcher Job The Blade Runner defeated Erick Wright Billy Jack Haynes defeated Frankie Simpson Scott Casey defeated Vance Hagen The Hart Foundation defeated Ron Wolf & Ray Timms WWF Superstars -Superstars opens with Jesse and Vince putting over the big night of action, including the big eight-man main event. They turn their attention to the issue with Hulk Hogan and Nikita Koloff. They put over Hogan’s appearance on Challenge and how Heenan spilled the beans. There is a conspiracy out. Nikita and Ivan were hired guns to take out Hogan for the title. Monsters Inc. were all hired to make sure it happens right there. Andre was offered money… but no word on if he did take the money. Jesse says he is going to find out on the show! Kerry Von Erich vs Sika w/ Gary Hart -So much controversy right now surrounding these events. We know Gary Hart took money. There is talk of an investigation by Jack Tunney. Tonight is it Sika and Kerry Von Erich and they do some great work in the ring. Sika is really holding his own through all things considered and is a bright star out of this group. We see his animalistic instincts get the best of him though as he tries to choke Kerry Von Erich out but The Modern Day Warrior has the comeback of all comebacks before hitting him with the Warrior Punch putting Sika back into the ropes and then Kerry picks him up for a big powerslam for the 1….2...3! Gary Hart retreats before Kerry gets his hands on him but you can tell there is a lot more going on here. Nikita Koloff killed Jimmy Vancini - stretcher job Hulk Hogan: Well I guess Private Investigator Hogan broke the case brother. Nikita Koloff… I knew you were low but I didn’t think you were that low brother. I knew Uncle Ivan had you twisted in about a thousand pieces. I knew he would try and make you do whatever was on his mind for his best judgment. Well know this dude… inside that cage, there is no benefactor. There is no Uncle Ivan. There is only me and you and when that door slams shut you are going to find out what Hulkamania is all about!!! -We watch as Jesse Ventura calls out Andre the Giant. It is a simple enough interview with Jesse grinding into Andre about the money. He asks him if he was offered money and Andre nods his head. Jesse then pushes him into if he accepted the money… Andre pulls out the check and rips it in half! The crowd pops! Andre grabs Jesse and says that this wasn’t even close to enough to turn his back on Hulk Hogan! He will face Kamala next week on Challenge and put an end to all of this! Randy Savage defeated Tommy Young Tito Santana: Randy Savage you have used a lot of words to try and explain why I cannot beat you but words don’t count in that ring… only actions count brother and I am coming with a lot of action. I am coming with a lot of fire. I am coming to get my hands on the Intercontinental Championship and I am going to put you down where you belong. You talk about the peasants… well they are people man… and those are the people that keep me going and that’s exactly what it is going to take to take you out! EIGHT MAN TAG Barry Windham, Billy Jack Haynes, & The Fantastics vs Rick Rude, Hercules, & The Dynamic Duo w/ Bobby Heenan -A HUGE night of Superstars highlighted by this big time main event. All eight men have got issues with one another and they put it all on the line here this evening. This one even gets some time thanks to the quickness of the Savage and Nikita squash matches. The highlight is Windham and Rude who have got a special kind of chemistry right now that just gets the crowd going but it is Gino and Windham that blow the roof off of the building. These guys go 16-minutes and we see a big schmozzy style finish. We see Bobby Fulton going for a superplex on Gino Hernandez but Heenan comes and pulls on his leg leading to Hernandez falling on him and getting the quick cover while chaos ensues. This one is far, far from over! WWF Live 9/22/85 Miami, FL – The Knight Center MAIN EVENT WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Hulk Hogan © defeated Ivan Koloff Andre the Giant defeated Nikita Koloff via DQ INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Randy Savage © defeated Jake Roberts - OMG interfered

WWF on Tour September 1985
WWF Presents: Wrestling Challenge Hosted By: Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby the Brain Heenan Matches from: Providence, RI – Civic Center Jake Roberts defeated Hank Knight Gary Hart: Jake Roberts… the man with the snake… well brother when it comes to a fight you won’t be able to slither away. I have seen it from coast to coast and Monsters Inc. will show you why you can’t mess with pain and destruction. You are going to find out the hard way boy that it just doesn’t work that way! The Sheepherders defeated Ryan Reed & Jack Snyder -Good showcase for the Sheepherders who have shown their abilities inside the ring. They have a fun wild side to them and put that together in the matches. They ram Snyder into the guardrail for the count out victory. The Fantastics defeated Tim Steele & Nathan Johnson Bobby Heenan: You know I am sick and tired of hearing about Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers. These guys think they are something fantastic… well fantastic you are not. You are nothing more that minor stones and pebbles that we step on each day. Sure sometimes you get one caught in your shoe… but don’t worry it won’t hurt too long. Greg Valentine defeated Ken Waters Brutus Beefcake: I have been doing a couple of trims Mr. Valentine and it looks like you’re next in line. You want to continue to run with that slimeball Jimmy Hart… the consequences will be severe. I am going to do a trimming on the sides and maybe take a little off the top. Once I am done with you… Jimmy Hart… you can step up next and get exactly what’s coming to you! Manny Fernandez defeated Derrick Reed Bad News: The Ragin Bull… huh… well Bull you are looking at a man who isn’t afraid of Bulls. I ain’t afraid of anything! You wanted a fight and you are going to get it pal. I am going to take you down to the streets of Harlem and show you want survival is all about! -We are back with the end of Wrestling Challenge and Heenan continues to gloat but this time Hulk Hogan actually shows up. He goes back and forth with Heenan about the money and Heenan says that there was money moved around. He didn’t know who it was but he knew that Ivan and Nikita were hired mercenaries. He knew that Gary Hart took a lot of money for Monsters Inc. He was offered money but didn’t take it. He says Andre was offered more than anyone but doesn’t know what he did. Heenan pulls out the check but there is no name on who wrote it… but Hogan tells Heenan not to call him when the check clears and shoves it into his mouth… Hogan then looks at the camera and tells Nikita that he is ready for the fight, anywhere, anytime, anyplace!!! WWF Live 9/21/85 Boston, MA – Boston Garden MAIN EVENT Hulk Hogan & Andre the Giant defeated Ivan & Nikita Koloff SIX-MAN TAG Barry Windham & The Fantastics defeated Rick Rude & The Dynamic Duo INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Randy Savage © defeated Kerry Von Erich - OMG interfered The Hart Foundation defeated The Rock N Roll Express Demolition defeated Kamala & Sika

Dirt Sheets
WWF NEWS -Interesting notes out of the WWF this week as they have cancelled the house shows with some scheduling concerns along with travel. This is the 2nd time in the last couple of months that the WWF has done this. With the WWF running 6 house shows a week, 52 weeks a year, along with two shows every weekend, and an MSG show every 4th Monday, some could argue that it is okay to take some time. -The MAIN EVENT is set to be a big spectacle for the WWF. It will be televised on the MSG Network and NBC however both broadcasts will be different. The NBC show will be hosted by Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura while Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hayes will be hosting the MSG show. Additionally, the NBC show will be heavily produced around the main event match of Hogan and Nikita while the MSG show will actually have some of the "dark matches" air with Gorilla and Hayes doing commentary. -The WWF has already started pushing the October 26th Saturday Night's Main Event show from Long Island. Some think it will be the Hogan vs Nikita III match with Hogan getting his Revenge on Nikita for taking the title. Could the WWF actually take the title off of him? With the quick turnaround, it does make sense to pump it up for another big card in a couple of weeks but surely the idea of a heel champion and Hogan's revenge would have to be built for a longer period of time. There are also some who don't think Nikita could carry the company, even for 3 weeks, and Hogan has been vocal about his in ring abilities... or lack thereof from his point of view. Anything could happen over these next couple of weeks. -The WWF has also been pushing the benefactor angle to pump things up. Gary Hart or Bobby Heenan have been the key figures behind this role. Some have spoken of either of these men bringing in a "KEY PLAYER" to be the lead dog or perhaps taking Nikita under their wing and giving him the extra rub while others are expecting Roddy Piper's return to the company to be behind everything. -The Tag Team division of the WWF is expected to get some more shine in the coming weeks with the likes of Demolition, the Hart Foundation, the Fantastics, and the current champions of the Dynamic Duo getting more television time along with being highlighted as major players. Some other regional teams have been discussed to be brought in. -Sting has debuted as the "Blade Runner" on All-American. He has done some house shows but hasn't really been pushed as of late. He is still young in many people's eyes but has had a lot of experience in Japan which has helped him grow.

WWF on Tour September 1985
WWF Presents: Superstars of Wrestling Hosted By: Vince McMahon & Jesse ‘ The Body’ Ventura -Jesse and Vince continue to put over the benefactor issue. Jesse even goes as far as to say that next week, he will go right down to that ring and call out Andre the Giant and ask him just if he was offered money, who offered it to him, and if he accepted it. Vince puts over the appearance of Hulk Hogan on Wrestling Challenge next week to question Bobby Heenan! Hercules defeated Nicky Fredricks Billy Jack: I guess even Bobby Heenan can be outsmarted. Hercules, you and I have got a long history with one another and I think it is high time we put it all on the line and finish this once and for all! Nikita Koloff killed Micky Mack - Stretcher Job Hulk Hogan: I have been training for this fight harder than any other I ever have. I have been building up my body for the fight of a lifetime… but more importantly I have been building up my heart! I have been talking to all the Hulkamaniacs out there and we know what is going to happen… when that door slams… it is anything goes brother… survive if you can! Well Nikita Koloff…. I don’t know about the rumors… I don’t think there is anyway that Andre the Giant took money or favors to be outside the ring. I don’t think there is anyway that Monsters Inc is going to be able to get inside. I am just hoping for that one chance to get my hands on you and put you down for good! Demolition vs The Hart Foundation w/ Jimmy Hart -A prime time contest here with two of the best teams in wrestling. This one gets a little time but ends up just being a taste. Jimmy Hart’s antics outside the ring prove to be too much and lead to a double count out with both teams outside the ring going to work on one another. The crowd is upset about the outcome but excited about the possibilities! Tito Santana defeated Julian Means Randy Savage: How dare you insult the name of the KING Tito Santana. I am sickened from you words but know there is only one true punishment and that is to put you down in front of millions and millions of people all over the world! You see something you don’t know Tito Santana is that as the Macho King… I have got the peasants at my hands and then the lowly like yourself at my feet. Whenever I feel the need to squash the bug, brother I do it and I am going to do that to you when we step into the ring. I am the Macho King. I am the Intercontinental Champion. There is nothing you can do about it! Tommy Rogers vs Gino Hernandez w/ Bobby Heenan -We have been watching this big time feud unfold over recent weeks on television and we get another match here with Rogers taking on Hernandez. Gino is really at the top of his game when it comes to in ring and getting the fans wired. He handles Rogers with ease almost before Rogers make a good comeback and looks like he is going to come away with something but Gino gets a very low shot before picking him up for a slingshot suplex and the 3-count! Heenan then jumps in the ring and they are putting the boots to him as here comes Adams, Hercules, and Rude! It is a 3 on 1 for a moment before we see Windham, Fulton, and Billyjack run out. It is an eight-man brawl and the crowd is going wild right now! Officials and agents are down here and this one has broken loose. Vince and Jesse put over how we will try and get this as an eight-man tag next week! Plus we will have Jesse Ventura interviewing Andre the Giant!!!

WWF on Tour September 1985
WWF All American Wrestling -On a rare circumstance, we get to hear from Gene and Lord Alfred today as they put over the card and the benefactor issue. They talk about the idea of Andre the Giant getting money to make Hogan lose. Both men say they would never believe such a thing happening. The Sheepherders defeated Henry Dukes & Sam Bodine Phil Lafon defeated Lenny Orion The Blade Runner defeated Erick Rusev Greg Valentine defeated Quincy Franklin Jake Roberts vs Kamala w/ Friday -Big time showcase contest for All-American and it is a fun one. Kamala gets some early offense but nothing big time with Roberts coming back strong. Friday tries to get involved but gets rocked for his cause. Conspicuous by his absence is Gary Hart. Kamala runs at Jake who ducks and pulls the ropes down before going outside the ring with the battle raging on. Kamala runs again and Jake ducks but Kamala nails Friday! Jake turns him around and DDT OUTSIDE THE RING! Jake rolls in for the 10-count and the victory!

WWF on Tour September 1985
WWF Wrestling Challenge -Once again this week, we have got Gorilla Monsoon just hammering away at Heenan with questions about this benefactor. Heenan says he has no idea what it is all about and that if he did, he would say something. Heenan says that he knows some money went around and people were told to make sure that Nikita won the tile. He says that even Andre the Giant was offered money but he doesn’t know who. Gorilla then changes the subject to tell him that Hulk Hogan is going to be here next week on set, and he may get an answer out of Heenan once and for all! Nikita Koloff killed Tommy Hughes - Stretcher Job Ivan Koloff: I am so tired of these conspiracy theories. They will not let Nikita shine like the true nightmare he is. Hulk Hogan, you want to know the truth… you can’t handle the truth… the truth is that Nikita is going to put an end to you once and for all. Nikita is going to destroy everything you are and could become. He is going to take that title back to Russia and you will never be able to recover! Brutus Beefcake defeated Danny Bonfine Greg Valentine: Beefcake, I am ready to put the finishing touches on you once and for all. I am tired of all the people out there saying I need a haircut… my hair is just fine but when I am done with you, you are going to need total reconstructive surgery!!! Paul Roma & Jim Powers defeated Jimmy Gunn & Frankie Falcone -A good showcase for Roma and Powers who continue to build and build here on television. Gorilla says that these guys deserve a chance and Heenan says they will get what is coming to them if they ever mess with the Family! Tonight they get the powerslam/splash combo for the victory as they work the crowd. Bad News Brown defeated Tim Reeves Manny Fernandez: I have got to admit it right now Bad News, I have got goosebumps man. I can see RED right now when I think about stepping into that ring with you. It is only going to be a matter of time and then we are going to do the thing and brother, there will be no turning back! Billy Jack Haynes vs Rick Rude w/ Bobby Heenan -Heenan is down with Rude as we get Gorilla and Lord Alfred for this big time main event on Challenge this week. The crowd is behind Billy Jack, especially after what they saw Heenan do last week on Superstars to Windham. This one is fun with Rude trying to out pose Haynes but Billy Jack is BUILT and he makes Rude look bad before the Ravishing one gets the upperhand. Hercules is out there no with Heenan as they are trying to get the attention of Haynes but nothing doing. Out of the back runs Barry Windham. He is sporting a pretty nice sized bandage on his head and he goes toe to toe with Hercules before Rick Rude comes over and Windham nails Rude right between the eyes before Haynes comes with a roll up for the 1….2…..3!! Haynes is the winner as he and Windham work the crowd! Gorilla puts this through the roof as the Heenan Family has been outdone this week!

I am sorry to see you go but I appreciate what you are gonna be doing. In terms of Japan... All the gaijin will go to the fresh face draft. All the homesteaders will stay jwa if someone is interested in picking up the roster. At this point, Boon's roster will also be added to the draft unless he comes back. We will be touch and go on that as it happens.

Gimmick Match of the Month: The Lumberjack Match (September 2017)
Really looking forward to this. I always enjoyed a good lumberjack match. You have got some marquee ones from In Your House and Bach at the Beach 95. I found this gem... https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xwiede Hogan vs Savage in a Lumberjack Match I'd guess in around 1986. A pretty fun contest and it is always fun to see the fights outside of the ring and seeing some of the "boys" out there (always loved the lumberjack gear) and seeing some interesting pairings.
