To be fair, it was all behind a paywall (there's also Benoit stuff on Netflix).

Another issue is that they're skipping over shows that had Chris Benoit. Now, I have no problem with them cutting out his matches, but why get rid of the whole show? Given the format of wrestling, it's not like it affects continuity if they removed his matches.

WWE Vault youtube channel
You'd think it would be chock full of matches involving Austin, Taker (as Mark Callous), Cactus Jac, Terra Ryzing/Jean Paul LeVeque (obviously), etc. Kind of a " before they were stars" thing.

WWE TV Megathread
I think I'm coming around more to Hank and Tank. Didnt really care for them when they first came up, but they've been getting more entertainng and are actually solid workers.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
And it doesnt look like the women's division will be getting any bigger, Naomi has been talking in interviews about how she may be winding down her career soon.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Speaking of Hogan, he apparently is a Toni Storm fan: https://www.f4wonline.com/news/aew/hulk-hogan-praises-aew-timeless-toni-storm/

WWE TV Megathread
I think Orton along with CM Punk is the last of Cena's major rivals to still be active to be honest. A Cena/Orton/Punk 3 way wouldnt be bad actually (has that combo happened yet?).

What was with all of the lights in the audience during the Zayn/Breaker match?

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
And then WCW named him Vincent when he came to the company. Of course, this goes WAY back, according to Death of the Territories, JCP had a jobber named Vince McMann in the early 80s (footage of that is one of my lost media white whales).

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Which makes it kind of funny considering when Rotundo returned to WCW it was as VK Wallstreet, an obviously blatant shot at Vince.

Dark Side of the Ring
I noticed that when Backlund pinned Graham for the title, Graham put his foot on the ropes. Was that supposed to happen or was it just an accident?

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
As someone on another board pointed out, someone should have pulled a Norm MacDonald and deliberately sabotaged the roast.

It's harder to set up the cage as opposed to lowering it from the ceiling.

Forget what I said, apparently Survivor Series is in Petco Park this year, which is an open air stadium, so I guess they wont be able to do War Games, at least not at Survivor Series.

WWE TV Megathread
If we get a new Dangerous Alliance, lets hope we get a War Games match with them (DA vs Sting's Squadron is generally considered the best War Games match, and while I dont know if a WWE version could be better, it might be just as entertaining).

Wrestlemania 41
I'd argue you could blame that on Savage/Warrior. Heck, you could even go back to 1987 and Steamboat/Savage and Hogan/Andre. Good matches to be sure, but they did have that "epic" style to them.

WWE purchases AAA
I've heard BTW that AAA only owns the rights to 1997 and up footage, and that Televisa owns the pre-97 footage, so even the benefit of having AAA footage is still limited (if they even do anything with it).

WWE Hall of Fame 2025
I didnt watch the whole HOF but Luger's speech and the speeches by Tenta's family and Fred Ottman were genuinely touching (it's a shame that Fred will only be known for the Shockmaster falling over, as he seems like a truly nice individual).

B-Show Blitzkrieg!
Decided to bring back this thread. Now this next one is a cheat as WCW Saturday Night WAS the A-Show back in 1993, but I couldnt resist posting this incredibly fun big vs little match:

"Cinematic" matches
Thought we could get a topic going on this. What would you say the first one was? I'd go with either the Lawler/Funk empty arena match, or maybe Inoki vs Saito's Island Death match (which was longer than most actual movies taking place on Islands). Any other good early examples?

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Oh, WCW was going after the WWF long before then. They were going to bring in Giant Haystacks as a jobber named "Titan" in 1990, with the intent being that the announcers were going to make a bunch of snarky comments about "Titan" getting dominated, but Haystacks' wife got sick so it was cancelled. But going after the competition can backfire, just remember them giving away the result that Mankind was going to beat the Rock (and just to show WCW wasnt also making mistakes, Bobby Heenan claimed that the Billionaire Ted skits just told people where they could see Hogan and Savage).

WWE Hall of Fame 2025
The legacy wing is back with Kamala, Dory Funk Jr, and Ivan Koloff being inducted. People have been wanting Ivan in there for a long time so this is pretty big (Also, every WWF champion from Bruno through Shawn Michaels is now in the HOF).

WWE Vault youtube channel
My only problem with the WCW Vault channel is that they're uploading Nitro/Thunder episodes, but skipping over episodes that have Benoit matches. While understandable, they could simply just delete Benoit stuff like WWE 24/7 did, instead of skipping over entire shows, including matches that have nothing to do with him.

WWE Hall of Fame 2025
Now they're inducting individual matches, first up is Austin vs Bret from WM13: https://www.si.com/fannation/wrestling/wwe/steve-austin-vs-bret-hart-wrestlemania-13-match-to-be-inducted-into-wwe-hall-of-fame

WWE Hall of Fame 2025
Personally, I never liked the idea of wrestlers working barefoot in the first place, too much risk for injury. Back on topic, apparently Ken Shamrock is also being considered (surprised it took this long).
