  1. Going back to NXT for a minute, I wonder that when they go to CW they'll have some bigger names join them. Not just guys on the level of Corbin, but I'm talking about the likes of Miz, Bayley, maybe even Seth Rollins (once he loses his belt). They're going to be on a national tv network, cant just have guys who are pretty much unknown to the general public (granted, most current stars are unknown to the general public, but you see where I'm going with this).

Buddy Landell, getting a WWF title shot, in 1996, on WWF Mania: One of only 5 matches Landell had in the WWF (the others were the squash against Ahmed at IYH 5, a win against Bob Holly the next night on RAW, beating Matt Hardy on that weekends Superstars, and a match against HHH on Shotgun in 1999.
  3. Sadly, it looks like Cena's OTHER recent movie (Coyote Vs Acme) will not be seeing the light of day, but that's veering into off-topic.
  4. https://collider.com/invincible-fight-girl-comedy-series-greenlit-hbo-max-cartoon-network/ (yes, the article is from 2022, but apparently it's coming out this year)

With Piper, Patterson, Okerlund, and Finkel sadly no longer with us, you'd have to hire some new legends for a second season of Legend's House (you could still have Duggan, Hillbilly Jim, Atlas, and Jimmy Hart). Maybe get Tito Santana, Ricky Steamboat, Mike Rotundo, and DDP. As for this year's HOF, they'll probably want to get guys who have relatively been scandal-free, so we could get the aforementioned Rotundo, Slick, The Natural Disasters, the Wyatt Family, Ken Shamrock, and Sid, possibly Batista as a headliner if they can get him (if he doesnt want to show up due to the whole situation, just go with Rock).
  6. Who would have thought a guy with the super generic name Big Bill would be in a main event match against Sting? Just shows that a bad name doesnt necessarily mean career death.
  7. No matter how WM40 turns out, it's good to see the logo brought back the Roman Numerals:
  8. Not to mention, Rock never even became President in the show anyway. The cliffhanger for the last episode had him considering founding his own country and there's NO WAY Rock could ever pull that off in real life.
  9. And you just know they'll put the Rock in the Hall of Fame this year just so they can add Roman beating a Hall of Famer to his "accolades".

D-Lo Brown vs Chris Jericho: Cheap ending, but solid before that. D-Lo was so fun to watch back in the day.

3 count vs PG-13 from WCW Saturday Night, total spotfest but also non-stop action with no resting:
  12. I'd be happier with homages to superheroes and anime, at least those would end up being more colorful
  13. I just hope that when Bron Breaker goes to the main roster he keeps his Steiner Brothers-style tights. I always liked their ring attire and it's nice to see Bron bring that style back.
  14. Thing is, even the attitude era had some color to it. Sure, Austin and Rock and Taker all wore black, but most of DX wore colorful gear, as did Edge and Christian, Val Venis, Too Cool, Jericho, and even Kane (his early outfits emphasized the red over the black), among others. It wasnt just all black all the time. Heck, with LA Knight endorsing Slim Jims, it would be great to see him in red and yellow gear.
  15. I've commented on this before, but after seeing that 4 way last night, where everyone had on black tights, it has to be said. The number of wrestlers wearing black (or black with other dark colors like Judgement Day) is just absurd now. This isnt just a WWE problem, AEW has the same issue. I'm not saying everyone should run around in bright colors, but at least have some varierty. Seeing guys just wear black makes everyone look bland, at least Cody has his Red, White, and Blue tights, and there's still more colorful tights in the women's divisions (though Skye Blue wearing black is just absurd given the name of her character).
  16. And here's an endorsement that may at least help give the film some more attention: https://people.com/adele-says-the-iron-claw-was-her-favorite-movie-of-2023-blown-away-by-zac-efron-8546957

Now here's a real oddity, Hogan vs Meng on WCW Pro: Up until the "hulk-up" sequence, Hogan's offense actually resembles his "Hollywood/nwo" stuff in this one.
  18. I said this elsewhere, it would have been better if in 1982, Vince Sr. just gave the company to Monsoon and Albano (I think he was in line for succession) and have them be co-owners. If Albano still meets Cyndi Lauper, they still go mainstream while Vince is still a lowly announcer in a yellow coat.
  19. (If this belongs somewhere else, please put it there) In this thread we discuss all the wacky random stuff we find from WWF/E, WCW, AEW b-shows. Stuff like Worldwide, WCW Saturday Night post-1995, Power Hour, All American Wrestling, Heat, Shotgun/Metal/Jakked, Velocity, AEW Dark, and such. I'll start with this odd pairing, Raven vs Kaz Hayashi from WCW Worldwide: This is a pretty well known match actually due to the insane bumps Kaz took, and even though it's short, it definitely made me wish both men had had a longer match in the company, sadly, they never met up again AFAIK. Feel free to share and discuss any oddball stuff from b-shows as well.
  20. Over The Edge 98? What bad thing happened there?
  21. It's a shame that Ted Turner is in no condition to do interviews, as he would have been a perfect interview subject for Black Saturday.
  22. I wonder if by being on Netflix, they'll be able to start using licensed music, due to having a bigger budget. Maybe we'll see Bron make his main roster debut to Welcome to the Jungle. On a more cynical note, now I'm wondering if they'll just keep the belts on the current champs and wait until the Netflix premiere, no major title changes at Wrestlemania or anything (which means we get ANOTHER record broken by Roman).
  23. Hot take, but I'd say matches that are considered "throwaway" hold up better than matches with a backstory. With a match that has a long backstory, you've got to remember all the details that led up to why it's happening in the first place, but a "cold" match means you can just enjoy a match with a beginning, a middle, and an ending, without it being attached to some ongoing feud.

Considering they're selling merch of them, I think Ken Shamrock and Sid are locks to get in.
  25. Personally, I'd like to see Albert as a surprise entrant. I mean, he's a trainer and they have access to him currently, throw him in for a nostalgia pop and have him eliminate someone like one of the Pretty Deadly members or someone else who wouldnt be affected by it.
