Yes, MJF has his supporters in the media and fans in the north east. I am almost certain that this championship run wi hurt business for AEW. WHY MJF? Because Ariel Helwani loves him? MJF is not loyal, he's gonna be like Thunder Rosa when it's time to drop it. MJF has not proven his worth. The feud had no juice. Don't buy the hype. Moxley should have gone through another ppv with the strap and MJF can work Dynamite matches to prove he can draw. But Tony Khan is kowtowing to the wrestling insiders and other media types. I love allot of Tony's booking through the years, but something has changed. I hope the Elite can bring some of the heat back. MJF is not main event. Tony probably promised the strap to MJF so he would sign. But Khan should have played hard ball because MJF will not move the needle. His matches usually put me to sleep and his promos are mid. Only positive I can say is that he's looking less chubby and probably eating better and got rid of that orange spray tan. Hangman Page's reign is gonna seem like Hogan's 80s reign compared to MJF. Can u imagine if Barry Horowitz was WWF champ in 1989? OK now to be serious, just wanted to say that this will be bad for business. Moxley should have won and then at Dynamite he could have turned on the fans and formed a new faction of outcasts. The one title that held some credibility is now muddied. I'll be shocked if this reign helps business.
  2. I grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan and always heard my uncles and father talk about AWA and it's crazy how many times Hogan came to these WWF C-towns like Sheboygan, Wisconsin, when he was in the AWA. HERE'S A CLIPPING FROM THE LOCAL ARMORY IN THE CITY I WAS BORN IN. I was a baby so I didn't attend but the lineup is full of stars.
  3. Scott Colton should be fired. This bs he stirred could cost AEW millions. Tony is always trying to appease everybody. I think Tony Khan is a great guy, but he needs a talent relations guy. Maybe he can hire that WWE guy who was stealing titles, lol. I forget his name. Dork order and their equivalents need to remain off TV. I was at Dynamite last year in September, and haven't wanted to go back since. Everything is cooling off. The inner Circle was great. Now Sammy gets married and nobody cares about him anymore. He was better baby face imo. Taz is not very smooth doing commentary. Don Callis is very smooth and witty. Don Callis and Tony should be the main guys. Excalibur is OK. And Jim Ross is fine. But Taz is trying to hard. He doesn't seem comfortable. MJF is waay over-rated, and he will not draw viewers. Andrade has it all. They need to get him in the title picture. I don't understand why Swerve and Lee are tag Champs. Acclaimed should have been crowned in Chicago. The Acclaimed are great and that's what draws the general audiences. Just like the nWo, the Acclaimed have that cool factor. Tony needs to put his foot down and book the right matches. FTR and Bucks should have been at all out. ThunderRosa should have done the right thing and dropped the belt to someone before her "injury." It's obvious that she's worried that she won't ever have title opportunity again. ROH titles carry no weight anymore. I know I'm just stating random thoughts. But I was soo excited about AEW.. and now it's just not fun. I hope CM Punk returns ASAP. But he might be over all the bullshit.
  4. PTBN was the 1st podcast feed I got into, I would love some of the old voices to do some classic review shows, like pre-attitude era stuff. Where the big boys play was the 1st nwa/wcw supercard review show. Pre-wwe network. So it wasn't easy to watch most if these shows. I had a half-dozen on VHS. Anyway, good luck on the future of the podcast network. I've been a fan and I acknowledge you as the OG wrestling podcast players.
  5. Don't mean to ask random question. But...what happened to Parv? Where the big boys play podcast was 1st of its kind. 1st classic wresting pod I ever heard. And there were very few classic review pods, because it wasn't easy to find every Clash online. Even early 90s WCW PPVs were hard to find. I had SuperBrawl 2 from my hometown, but the quality was what u would expect from an old VHS. And the only current product I watched back then was the HOF ceremonies. I didn't start watching again until CM Punk was gone. Right when Danielson got hot. Anyway I hope everyone is well. Just wanted yall to know I appreciate the work you all put in the PTBN Shows. When u started, I listened to the shows on my iPod, now that seems crazy.

Lee Moriorty? Great in ring, but it means nothing if you don't have charisma. He's young so he has time. Anyway soneone mentioned loosely scripted. What do ppl love about WCW or classic wrestling from 80s? It's that feeling that anything can happen. Pre-WCW gets allot of shit...but I enjoy that feeling that anything might happen, Vader might lay-in to Flair at SuperBrawl and Flair had to fight back after Harley told Flair he was embarrassed his self. AEW is getting off track, and giving the wrong guys the push. MJF has his fans in the wrestling media types for various reasons, but he's not a star I'm my opinion. Maybe a glorified manager. The greatest heels took their losses to satisfy the fans. When they put him over every match It's simply stupid. It makes his opponents look weak. I hate it when these writers say he's an old school heel. Far from it. FTR gets it. They can lose matches, but never lose steam. Same with Baker. She lost the match that really made her. Don't know what is up with Tessa, but if she ran into the ring face to face with Britt, that would be "box-office." Inner Circle was the draw that got me to buy a ticket to Dynamite, and I hope Santana and Ortiz get their TV time. I love Dylan's son. I mean Luke perry's son, but LAX should have the straps before Dyno & Dylan Jr. Deeb is a great asset to the company because she can help the women's division.
  7. I posted this? Where is the link? Lol. I remember the newsletters on my laptop. I think it was that Google drive collection.
  8. I listened and still listen to every WOR and Dave tends to get excited about something or someone in the moment. He often says "(insert name) is one of the top 2 or 3 greatest wrestlers in the world." I like his stuff on the details or historical knowledge on business side. You gotta take his opinions with grain of salt. Although his MMA opinions boggle my mind.
  9. Let me know if I'm on the money. Or if I'm wrong about something. Thanks I appreciate it
  10. Best things from recent AEW is: Andrade - I wish he would do that promo where he told his manager " I am the boss." With his accent it gives me Narcos vibes. Darby - of course. Brit Baker - her confidence keeps growing. Reba is hilarious and Hayter my girl. Sabrina Deeb - best in ring talent, she needs to be making the big bucks to help train the current roster. Nick Jackson's new found confidence - I love the macho man strut. Never gets old. Dan Lambert- he gets it. I was big LAX fan so I still love Santana & Ortiz but they have not shined recently The acclaimed are great. Max has charisma and Bowens can work. Worst things and or most overrated: MJF - ok get heat, but nobody ever gets revenge. He's just an entitled chubby rich kid. His promos are waaay Overrated. Maybe the wrestling writers have something in common with him and can relate. And I get that. But he had 1 match that I enjoyed. The match vs. Sammy Guevara. His in-ring is mid. His promos are just him putting himself over which only works when u have years of talent to stand on. FTR & Wardlow are better without him. The heat he gets is Eva Marie heat. Dark order - I don't get it now that Huber is gone. RIP. Just bunch of nerds. I had hoped it was going somewhere, but now I wish they would keep it on Dark or BTE. Maybe #10 I think might have talent. Tony Khan needs to dump some of these bums. Anna and the Brazilian broad can get over without these jobronis. Nila rose - I just don't think she fits with this group of women. Maybe she can take Nia jaxx spot in WWE. To end on a good note, I forgot to mention Pentagon and Fenix. They were mega over at the couple shows I went to in Milwaukee and Chicago. The reason I might sound harsh on Dark order, is because when the show isţ not cool anymore, the ratings will tank. I loved nWo and went to Nitro because I thought Scott Hall and Hollywood Hogan were so bad ass and cool. But when they weren't on TV anymore, it was just wrestling. I know some ppl like just wrestling, but I love promos, because look what promos did for Austin and the Rock. They still are funny as heck. Inner Circle is 1st thing that grabbed me in the beginning, but the promos are getting cringey. Darby, Sammy, and Omega should talk little less because they are over, and some of their promos hurt them. This is just short list, of course Danielson is amazing. And mox and miro are proven.
  11. Hope Ed Farhat is represented in this book. I love me some juice!
  12. Gary Spivey One of my last memories of Paul's career. I remember hearing Hogan talking about how Orndorff was a bad ass from Tampa and Hogan was threatened by these types including Dr. D. tumblr_qjq6idZqSd1sj4xr4.mp4
  13. Who had a better physique than Mr. Wonderful in WWF? Nobody. He was awesome. My favorite memories are the Hogan cage match on SNME. And I loved everything he did in WCW.
  14. Arn definitely helped put the dog collar match together. The blood looked fake but Tony Khan probably doesn't want ppl juicing too much. Cody looks awesome and Brody too. I really don't like matches between ppl who are major size differences like Brody vs Orange Cass. Just didn't work 4 me and they are both talented but with all of the huge talent, I want to see Wardlow, Hager, Brody, Cage, etc. Only negative I have is Big Swole. If she can't work a good match with the super talented Serena Deeb, then I think someone else should take her spot. Like Diamante or Alie. Alie was over huge in Impact a couple years ago. I don't know if she has an injury or something.
  15. I didn't know this about Lawler's character, but if u want laughs at Lawler's expense, YOU GOTTA WATCH: 'Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond'
  16. Best Podcast! Lots of impostors but bts is still #1
  17. My highlight...was "A Hunka, Hunka, Honky Love" baby!
  18. The 1st time I saw Garvin was in WWF in '89. I was pretty young and after my mom ordered me a title belt from the catalog, they also sent that WWF 'PROGRAM' magazine and Garvin was on the cover. I think it was a great decision for Ronnie to go to New York in '89, because '89 is a year like no other. Almost Everyone from 1989 has transcended into a mega Super Star. Just look at the Brain Busters. Arn said he was way more over after his run in WWF. 89 is a special year. You got WM5. You got No Holds Barred, which my uncle took me to see. I was only 6 or 7. I think 89 was the peak of the Golden Era. RUGGED RONNIE GARVIN WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED FOR HIS VALENTINE FEUD. NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT WRESTLING CHAMPION
  19. Why is it so hard to get pro wrestling on a corporate cable channel? Personally, I think IMPACT is allot more entertaining than Raw. 3 fuggin hours of RAW is ridiculous. Use the last hour for classic programming. I think it would help promote the network. And why are promos so edited and written for everyone in WWE? Remember how much more interesting promos were when the talent had artistic freedom? 1 of the reasons that Nitro was so popular.
  20. In the name of the Most High, May God accept Gene Okerlund's deeds and have mercy upon his soul. Mean Gene is a TV personality that I truly appreciated. I loved when he would say, "my long-time, close, personal, friend " or something similar. Gene was and will always be one of the few wrestling personalities that "everybody(over 25)" remembers. I spent the 1st week of The New Year at my mother's home and played the Sean Mooney podcast interview with Gene, for her before I left. The next time we spoke she told me how much she enjoyed it! And my mother is not a fan of pro wrestling. 1 thing that separates Gene from the rest, is his facial expressions. Especially his eyebrows and lips. RIP to my long-time, close, personal, friend.
  21. Post your favorite surprise moments that were planned but a shoot to some. Slamboree '95 - During the Lengendary Hall of fame inductions, Dusty was supposed to be last...until he said there is 1 more Hall of fame induction and it's going to Gordon Solie! Gordon's face is priceless. He had tears in his eyes. Randy Poffo looked great. INOKI IS THE MAN! CODY RHODES Holds dad's trophy. RIP Big John Studd whose son accepted for his father. Warrior running out at end of WM8 was favorite moment as a kid because warrior was off T.V. prior to that for long time. Not looking for botched moments or mistakes.
  22. I haven't been on PWO in a while but best believe that I never miss BTS! Thank you for doing back to back '91 shows! I was like a kid and remember every detail including watching Tues Texas live! "Hogan must get even!" What a great time in sports history. Barcelona Olympics was 1st Olympics that I remember watching that summer'92. From the legendary Great American Muhammad Ali's torch moment to NBCs coverage daily. Please continue with shows before '95. ** I still haven't watched Suburban Commando. I saw No Holds Barred in the theater and luved it! 2nd time in theatre i was 7. Harry and the Hendersons was 1st movie I saw. Babysitter took my older sister & me.
  23. Thanks for doing pre-attitude years! Anyway I've been listening since day one. I like u guys. And Kris you crack me up when you say "Bix you were 5 years old!" I think you've said something similar in the past a few times. There's an old song from my teenage days called "You ain't gotta Lie to Kick It" by Silk the Shocker. I get it we all like to say we saw WM3 live for example. But saying you were confused about the Snowman on Memphis TV when u were 5? Or saying you got the Observer at 8 years old!!! I'm not trying to clown you. We all exaggerate a little bit. Great Show!
  24. Remember that championships don't mean you are the best worker. Anyway I am shocked that nobody mentioned Sami Zayn Yea the nerdy Jewish writers never put him over but he always performs and makes everyone look like a million bucks. P.S. I'm joking about the writers. Just sick of the lack of improv in modern product.
  25. Please don't tell me Sheik Al-Kaissie left us!? He was my favorite of all the "sheiks" probably because I am too young for Ed Farhat and Iron Sheik is Iranian and didn't get to see Xander the Great in ring much in WCCW. ANYHOO I hope General Adnan is okay. I saw photos of him at cauliflower alley and he looked great with silver white hair and no mustache. He is a great family guy and still resides in the Minnesota twin cities area from last I heard.
