Where the Big Boys Play #90: Slamboree 1993
I remember seeing the Sheik on the promotional poster when I was 10 or 11 years old. I was always fascinated by him from the stories and crazy pics in the magazines. I eventually got to see him at Havoc '95 and he didn't disappoint. The sheik had to be super old by then. Funny thing is that their greatest legend Ric Flair wasn't there. And it was almost impossible to know who they were because wrestling is like local news every region has their stars but outside of their region they are unknown. And even if you had the Internet, it was slow as hell until the 2000. There were no video sites in 90s.

Between the Sheets Patreon Special #2: WWF Expansion Vol. 2
I'm addicted to your shows PRE-1995! Maybe an NWA on demand podcast would be your niche. And one without current talk. Strictly NWA. ...anyway... I love your research in the shows and would like to know if the "tiny.url" bts thing works on mobile devices? I want to help the show but I use Amazon app.

Macho Man's Inspiration!
When the Macho Man was a boy with his younger brother Lanny, they traveled with their father to different territories including Hawaii. Randy was decent wrestler at the time but didn't have confidence in his promo ability. After watching one of his favorite wrestlers he figured out his famous tag-line! "Ooh Yeaaah!" Who was it that inspired one of the greatest entertainers of all-time? It was Pampero Firpo! Watch this clip on dailymotion: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x53pw95_pampero-firpo-promo_shortfilms

[1990-01-20-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Hulk Hogan
IF u watch back the awesome promos leading up to WM6. You will see that Hogan is not confident that he will win! He says something like if the warrior can take the hulkamainiacs or something. I'm sure somebody can help me find it. It's like he is making excuses for losing. It was stupid. It was like your favorite team losing and the QB says to now be a fan of the winning team. That was the problem with that match. It was awesome but what do we do after.. should we hate warrior for beating our hero. Should we hate Hogan for letting us down? Hogan played the sympathy card that year as he left the ring after mania6 and after Quake crushes his ribs. I still have my postcard frpm hulk and got my red and yellow bracelet. But Hulkamania ended when he agreed to do the feud with Iraq. I wasn't feeling it and was sooo Happy when Sid Vicious came to wwf. But as fans we don't know that his run would be so short. I felt Sid could have been the face of wwf. Then warrior comes back and abandons us few months later. I already had abandonment issues!

Greatest single year in pro wrestling history?
90 was good too. I absolutely love Great American Bash 1990. When Vader debuts it's bad ass. Every match is exciting. Buddy Landel has fun opening bout.

Greatest single year in pro wrestling history?
I love '89 and instead of naming matches I would calculate how many guys or percentage of guys who are "over!" Look at WWF and I bet most of us over 30 ordered something from their catalog that year. U can hate on Honky but he was more over than 90% of current product. You can hate on beefcake but I bet u remember when Ron Bass raked his face! You can hate on Dusty but I know you were singing along to his theme. 89 is the 1st year I got into NWA/WCW Wow so much talent. Without 89 Flair would not be the legend he is today and he made other legends. 89 was No Holds Barred which I saw in theater! And loved it! And yes Zeus was Over. Yes as u smarten up u realize Zeus couldn't work for shit but he but asses in the building and if u don't remember go back and look at how awesome his promos were. He was a scary mofo to a 7 year old.

Wrestling channels on the Roku
After I buy the ROKU device, is this stuff available or will I have to subscribe to a service. Btw. Does anybody use Android tv box thingy. I think it is just Android using some streaming app. I wish I knew how to enter in the channel codes my self. I hate the kodi thing. It confuses me. I Need Ruku. Is roku on current BlueRay players? Because I'm sick of downloading every damn ppv and then having to hook up my laptop to my TV. And using 99% of my 500gb hard drive. 😤

Top 500 of the 90s In Progress
How many matches are from American promotions? I wanna see those and I bet there's an interest in how those ranked compared to each other. So put the promotion in your spreadsheet and filter out the foreign shit.

Top 500 of the 90s In Progress
What is the criteria? Because what I love about a good match is the psychology and the story and the energy. I think we need to be more specific. Of course I enjoy great work. But when there is no story it's hard to get excited for a random match. Even squash matches made sense to me because they showcased talent. Anyway. .. My nominee that nobody should argue is Mr. Perfect vs. Chico Santana on SNME. It's the one on the DVD set of SNME. Can't forget Bobby Heenan. I mean how do u rate managers. It has to be on the entertainment factor and the emotions they bring out of you. If they can't make u care about what's going on then they suck.

Paige and all that
Drinking Alcohol is just as stupid as drugs but ppl get caught up into it. I hate alcohol but I don't judge everyone who drinks daily after work or whenever. The young generation has no real culture. They just follow their idols whether its Miley, Taylor, or Paige. My point was that women who have trauma are higher risk to abuse chemicals.

Paige and all that
Paige is a sweet girl and true to herself from the start from what I know and she knows the ins and outs since her mom is in the biz. Anyway I've never been a big gossip blog person but if these drug rumors are true then everybody needs to chill out. Because when I was her age I was partying a hell lot harder than her and most girls I know were too. I think she just wants to be young and sick of the rush to grow up. Probably the reason she did not want to get married. From my experiences with ppl, I think that women with major trauma are more comforted with drugs and have a tougher time staying clean. If thats the case I doubt she is ready for drug tests every week. I'm not an expert and most of my info on her is from her mouth on Total Divas when she talked about her past.

Hottest Women Pre-Attitude(nWo) Era!
I was curious who you all think are the most gorgeous women in professional wrestling - 1995 and earlier! This is kind of funny but Miss Elizabeth was the first celebrity I had a crush on. Like 5 or 6 years old kissing her poster in WWF catalog! LoL! Madusa was sooo hott in AWA and scorching hot in WCW when Ventura was there! MiMi Sherri Martel Jimmy Garvin's girl in WCCW. Sunshine I think was her name? Anyway I hope you enjoy this topic.

Between the Sheets #60 (September 7-13, 1990)
How many of your listeners care about Japanese Wrestling? Personally I have no beef with it but just never got into it probably because I don't get that nostalgic high from it like I would from American Wrasslin. Anyway Thanks again for doing a week in my favorite era. '84 - '94.

Podcast Length
If the pod is about 80's and early 90's wrestling than I like long podcasts. I have habit of playing them on an old android phone, when I go to bed. The timestamps help out especially on Between the Sheets because I never got into Jap wrestling and don't know if I ever will. Probably because some of the most exciting moments in pro wrestling are out of the ring! From Pipers pit to brother love.

Racism in wrestling
Personally I never was negatively affected by racist or stereo-typing in wrestling except for 1 time and it changed how I viewed pro wrestling. Ok so I was born in early 80s and was obsessed with wrestling since I started watching TV. I remember crying when my mom took me to the mall saturday morning and didn't take me home in time to see beginning of SuperStars. No DVR in those days! Anyway I was obsessed with Hogan. In 90 when Sgt Slaughter came in I loved it and loved his new heel persona. My dad was born in Damascus, Syria so he would translate gen adnan for me.lol! But when my beloved hero Hulk Hogan started talking shit about Iraq it pissed me off even as a kid. From then on I hated Hogan until '96! I was so excited to see Sid Justice kick Hogans ass! I really thought Sid could have been the top baby face in pro wrestling! Well now we know what happened! The main point is middle eastern gimmicks are always "crazy terrorists" and it disregards the feelings of millions of Arabic or Muslim fans.Maybe I was too sensitive as a kid but if u look back that was the end of Hulkamania. I used to think that Vince was doing that storyline for the Pentagon in exchange for leniency in court!

2016 WWE Hall of Fame
1.) I always was a fan of the Von Erich brothers, but what was up with Kevin? I listened to him on a podcast about a year ago and he seemed at peace and living the life in Hawai. I don't know if he was just nervous or if he is just out of touch. I also think he feels that everyone is thinking about his family tradgedy. Anyway I watched it live and was he reffering to NEW DAY when he said the new gay guys? I just had to laugh when I heard that! I love Kevin though and his family is definately one of the most important in wrestling history. I wish Kerry's daughter was there! Does anyone know if she still wrestles? She would be a baby-face opponent for Charolotte! 2.) Stan Hansen mentioned Rick Martel. Does anyone know what the beef is between Martel and WWE? I remember seeing an interview with him years ago where he said he would love to be inducted into the WWE HOF. 3.) My biggest criticism of the HOF this year is when they decide not to tell major parts of the story! Personally I never knew about Bossman's "hardcore" run in the WWE. When I think of the Big Boss Man, I think of the Twin Towers vs. The Mega-Powers at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee! I wasn't there but I am from Milwaukee and here in Milwaukee people still bring it up when the Bradley Center is brought up because the Milwaukee Bucks are getting new arena. I also remember his babyface turn and how over he was. He was the first "action-figure" I got! His entrance theme music was cool back then. The next thing I remember is his WCW run. Although I don't remember it because I was too young, I think when Ray worked in UWF that it should be mentioned since he was Champion!

1984 Wrestler of the Year Contenders
Iron Sheik was awesome that year and looked good before the beer took over his belly. And Sheik had mega-heat but it was believable especially a few years after Iran-Contra which made fans believe that he was loyal to Iran & patoohie on U.S.A.
