Welp, that fucking ruled.

Dawson using the "I'm gonna fake a punch so you duck to set up the DDT" Arn Tribute was just the fucking best.

All I want in life, as of this second, is for the rumors that Big Damo is signing with WWE is true, Sanity is like a new SHIELD, and Damo is the big guy in the group.

I think this is a case of presentation. Roode gets an awesome entrance and theme, and Cien just hasn't had the same cool type of presentation in his build.

I actually think they've done a pretty good job of getting the crowd to get behind Almas a bit by him out "flashing" Roode.

This crowd is gonna be so pissed when Almas wins.

The best part is, at least in the States, Ember might be Asuka's best opponent. You know they are heading down that road.

The old Shimmer fan in me is kinda going nuts about Jessie McKay, Kana, and Athena on a big show.

Was very impressed by Jose in that match, which was the main thing I wanted. No problem with him doing the job for Aries.

I think he's worked fine, it's just a very pro Aries crowd too. It hasn't felt like they disapprove of Jose, as much as want to support Aries too.

Ric Flair, apparently.

The WWE Global Cruiserweight show
Tajiri/Metalik was the best match of the 2nd round round for about half an hour.

*looks at his av, nodding in approval* I could watch those guys have a best of 29. Great matchup. Tajiri is at his best when reminding you he can mix in the Lucha with everything else.

Rusev rules, Cesaro rules, everyone involved in the main event of that is a really good wrestler. That said, they took a guy in Cesaro who was VERY over in that building, put him in a US title match with an over heel. Have a very much not over heel cost the over face his title match. All so a face who the crowd hates can run in and cheap shot said heel after the heel worked a hard match. I'm not sure what was really gained in that main event other then "Man, can Rusev and Cesaro wrestle some more?"

I honestly thought that might have been Dolphs best night with the company since the Survivor Series win a couple years ago. I buy him as an underdog, and as someone who is basically trying to get himself back in the mindset of being a true threat again. ... Still very little interest in the match though.

I kinda like that Eva Marie segment, my problem with it is that this isn't a 3 hour show, and it might mean a two week delay for getting Alexa Bliss in the ring, and that'd be a bummer to me when Carmella gets to debut.

That was probably the best promo exchange either man has had in a pretty long while. Ziggler seemed legitimately fired up, and Ambrose was good. I forever feel like Bray Wyatt is 2 really good weeks away from being a top act.

I find it very amusing the competitors competing for the Womens Title are far better on the mic then the ones feuding over the Universal Title.

What Now For Roman Reigns?
They tried Reigns Big Show last year. Was a good match. Did nothing at all to turn opinion.
-
What Now For Roman Reigns?
So, what would you want from Reigns on Raw then? Just a constant feud with Rollins? Cause he's gonna have to wrestle the Zayns, Owens, and Cesaros of the world with the Brand Split anyway.
-
What Now For Roman Reigns?
Then you wait him out in the midcard anyway. If the fans eventually forgive him and you can push him near the top of the card, hey great! If not, you have him putting over guys who can headline PPV's in the near future like Sami, Owens, Cesaro, or other call ups.
-
What Now For Roman Reigns?
I think the best thing they can do for Reigns is just keep him mixed with Cesaro, Zayn, and Owens, and let him establish himself as a really good worker for them in the midcard for a while. Paitence is the answer here, and has been the answer from the get go. WWE just isn't a place of patience for the most part.

The WWE Global Cruiserweight show
Mendoza to me clearly was the "No Name to Pretty Big Deal" of the tournament. They basically got that match to be a double turn just on how good Mendoza looked and how wily Kendrick was. If any of the first round losers earned themselves a contract in round 1, I think it would have had to be Mendoza.

I'll up that bet. Dolph will hit him with a Superkick, Dean will go for a Rebound Lariat, only for Dolph to Superkick him again.

I'm still completely stunned, after last night Finn got to look like a mega star, they decided the right move was to hold off on debuting American Alpha.
