AEW Dynamite - December 22, 2021
As long as they bring Mauro Ranallo in to do commentary they'll be fine

WWE TV 11/22 - 11/28 LeBron James is a King's Road Style wrestler
I tend to fast forward squash matches. I usually DVR wrestling so I can skip the commercials, as nothing too surprising seems to happen any more. I don't watch Dark, and if all wrestling tv was just squash matches I would probably stop watching. Even today with WWE when I had the Network, it felt like the tv except for maybe the week after a PPV was filler and only the PPVs felt worth watching. I can imagine a future where wrestling moves more towards a Lucha Underground style where there are no PPVs and the tv just builds to itself. I do think there should be more short promos from the underneath guys. That is one thing I do miss from old wrestling.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Vince is totally Mr Burns, and Bruce Prichard is Mr Smithers. I can totally imagine Vince saying something like "Bruce, remember that fat man I used to ride to work?" Or singing a Disney song about wearing a gorilla chest.

NXT War Games: TakeOver Has Been Taken Over
They showed this on Sportsnet 360 in Canada, the same channel that shows Raw and Smackdown, and I still wasnt interested in watching it. The old vs new thing really didnt seem that interesting.

AEW Dynamite - December 1, 2021
I liked Andrade's brawling. I'd like to see some more of his out of the ring brawling. Maybe against Moxley or against Proud and Powerful. The weird finish aside, I really enjoyed the main event.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Whenever I hear "Bear Country" the first thing that I think of is the Berenstain Bears children's books. That's where the Berenstain Bears live. I can't be the only guy here for whom that doesn't come immediately to mind.

WWE TV 09/27 - 10/03 BIG MEATY MEN ARE SLAPPING MEAT
I just saw them now, but both the Sheamus/Priest and Styles/Riddle matches were awesome. How often has Styles won matches with that Burning Hammer followed by Styles Clash combo? I didn't think he would be able to beat Riddle, but Riddle could not stand up to that combo.

[1986-09-16-NJPW] Tatsumi Fujinami, Kengo Kimura, Kantaro Hoshino, George Takano & Shiro Koshinaka vs Akira Maeda, Yoshiaki Fujiwara, Osamu Kido, Nobuhiko Takada & Kazuo Yamazaki
Your reviews are awesome man. So much detail that I can picture the match in my head.

This match must have gone off the rails if wrestlers start missile dropkicking themselves! Did Ethan Page dropkick himself on that Impact cinematic match where he wrestled himself?

AEW Dynamite - Grand Slam - September 22, 2021
I really liked hearing the crowd booing Cody so hard during his match. If he turns heel and is able to get the fans to boo him so loud during his matches it will make it fun for me to watch him. I love that kayfabe stuff of just having one guy the fans want to win and one guy the fans want to lose.

AEW Dynamite - Grand Slam - September 22, 2021
I realized I want to see the heels win all these matches. Although they don't really treat Britt as a heel anymore other than the fact that she is wrestling a face.

WWE TV 09/13 - 09/19 NXT 2.0 debut and Monday Night Football massacre
I like how Dexter Lumis saying "I do" makes for a bigger main event than Ciampa winning the belt.

I love the idea that Kawada's kicks caused Raven's tears. Like the real reason for Raven's character was because Kawada kicked him too hard. Also, this information about the magazines and the idol culture is amazing.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
I think Corbin would be great in the role that Cutler and Nakazawa are in right now. It would be fun seeing him interact with Omega and Callis as their lowly toad.

WWE TV 08/30 - 09/05 Paralympic Games rock
I am surprised Bruce Prichard is still there as I didn't think he would last this long. I can see after WWE's next big failure him being blamed and then fired. In fact maybe Triple H is biding his time, and setting up Bruce to be the scapegoat next time they need one, and taking back control.

Ring of Honor Wrestling
I really enjoyed the Allysin Kay vs Trish Adora match from this weekend's TV. It had a lot of mat wrestling, and it looked different from the women's wrestling I see on WWE. I'm curious now to watch the semifinals of this women's tournament.

WWE TV 08/09 - 08/15 NXT is no more
Jeff Hardy looks like he has become the Cotton Candy man with those colors.
-
WWE TV 08/02 - 08/08 Olympic Wrestling is dope
I just watched Smackdown now and Seth Rollins ripped off MJF's catchphrase. MJF says "I'm better than you and you know it," and Rollins told Edge "I'm better than you in every single way and you know it."

AEW Dynamite - July 28, 2021 - Fight for the Fallen
Maybe one of Punk/Danielson would feud with Omega and the other would feud with Hangman.

AEW Dark Megathread
I really like Eddie Kingston on commentary on Elevation this week. He has interesting things to say and he makes it sound more like the matches are really happening. I also liked how he reacts when the entrance pyro goes off, still selling the story from the exploding ring match about PTSD or whatever from fireworks.

WWE TV 07/26 - 08/01 The Olympic Games are a wonderful event
Eventual Lee is not a very Hugh Morris name. I did actually like the Keith Lee match tonight though. I could feel the struggle to try to get the straight jacket on Lee. I would like it if there was a rematch.

[1982-07-10-MACW] Roddy Piper vs Jack Brisco
They showed this on the Canadian version of the network a couple weeks ago, because I guess they are showing 1982 Mid-Atlantic week by week in real time, so it was on the 29th anniversary. Anyway, I recorded it on my DVR and sat on it thinking it was just a random episode, then was blown away. I was surprised they just had a good match like this on free TV in 1982. I guess because of the foreign object finish, but it was an exciting match up to that point. The sleeper hold exchange section ironically woke me up and got me behind Jack. The finish was well done and would have left fans wanting to see Piper get his comeuppance.
