RIP Ole Anderson
Funny I always thought he was older. That means he was only in his early 40s when the Four Horsemen started and I always saw him as an old man at that time.

If you were in Herb Abrams position.
I might try hiring whatever British wrestlers were still around and in good wrestling shape and try running the company with World of Sport style match rules with the rounds system and British psychology. Like, I would hire whoever would have been the contemporaries of Regal and Finlay that weren't hired somewhere else.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
I am now imagining an 80s tag team where the names of the wrestlers are just "Dav'oh #1" and "Dav'oh #2"

WWE TV - 2/5-2/9 - #WeWantCody #FinishTheStory #RockySucks #VinceBelongsInPrison
You know, you would think Rock would want to steer clear of WWE and lie low while all this stuff come out against Vince as it could cause a ripple effect over the company or over wrestling in general.

WWE TV - 1/29 - 2/2 - BROCK PURDY IS THE HEAD OF THE TABLE
Nobody I know says "Did you see that new Dwayne Johnson movie?" Even people who have never seen a wrestling match call him The Rock.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Vince Russo.

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
My PVR didn't record Impact again this week. I realized afterwards they changed the name of the program in the schedule again, this time from TNA Wrestling to TNA iMPACT.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Oh maybe Papa John. Road Dogg was never an executive, was he? I wonder how much he knew.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
I wonder how many times Vince pooped on Johnny Ace's head...

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
I liked Alister Black the best when he was teaming with Ricochet, but then I love buddy cop movies and odd couple tag teams like Orton and Riddle.

WWE TV - 1/29 - 2/2 - BROCK PURDY IS THE HEAD OF THE TABLE
Every time I tune into NXT the last few months it feels like they are in the middle of a tournament. That Chase U video package made me wonder, what happened to the guy with the long blonde hair and bandana who was in Chase U?

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Yeah that's not the wrestling bubble. That's our culture at large that has those kinds of opinions

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Its sick remembering that Vince was a character in some of those "WWE meets Scooby-Doo/Hanna-Barberra characters" cartoons that were made for kids. Like do you think Vince would have been sending some of those text messages in between recording lines from the studio?

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
I am suddenly imagining hearing reports about Mauro getting into backstage fights with CM Punk.

Is the empire stronger than ever? (for two days lol)
Does that mean they're gonna put up all the old JCP, Mid-South, and World Class episodes on Netflix?

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
I feel dumb. I thought they were still doing clip shows for the holidays. My DVR was set to record IMPACT! Which of course doesn't exist in my cable providers listings anymore, and I realized I had to set it up again to record TNA now. Oops.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Great article! Its funny that nobody from Young Rock made the list since Rock's production company made that. Also sad that Zeus from No Holds Barred did make the although it's a bad movie I haven't seen in 30 years, my inner seven year old still remembers how Zeus was one of the first guys I saw when I first saw pro wrestling.

WWE TV 12/11 - 12/17 CM Punk decides to take his talents to South Beach
You must watch Women Of Wrestling every week and post in depth match reviews.

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
I really enjoyed the 80s show they had a couple weeks ago with all the 80s style gimmicks. Instead of the Million Dollar Man they had the 369000 Dollar Man for example.

WWE TV 12/11 - 12/17 CM Punk decides to take his talents to South Beach
Is that the guy wearing the tie? I'm really hoping he wrestles wearing the tie.

AEW TV - 12/6 - 12/9 - Make the Entire Promotion Out of Eddie/Bryan Already
Just a reminder for other Canadians like myself who don't pay extra for TSN+, AEW is in Canada this week so Rampage and Collision are on TV. And I guess Danielson is having a tournament match on each show this week so Rampage will be worth checking out.
-
AEW TV 11/29 - 12/1 Danielson vs Kingston II and MJF is injured
I'm hoping Dave Karger runs in with a steel chair... And then turns on Mankiewicz and becomes the lead host of TCM. Edit: Actually I'm hoping Robert Osborne comes out and reveals that he faked his death as just a wrestling storyline. "It was me, Mankiewicz! It was me all along!" There's your long term booking.

WWE TV 11/27 - 12/03 Petty Phil Brooks vs Whiny Seth Rollins gonna feed families baybee
I feel it was kind of a waste to just throw Creeds vs DIY and Creeds vs New Day as parts of a gauntlet match when they could have been feature matches on Raw. I am hoping that DIY turns heel though and then heel DIY vs Creeds would probably make a better match anyway. It just seems weird to throw those away like that.

WWE Survivor Series - War Games - 11/24 - What Do You See?
It sounds like maybe WWE was only willing to pay for Mania (like Austin a couple years ago) and Rock wanted multiple PLE pay days.
