Oh man Continental is on FIRE! Ron Fuller was behind the bounty! WOW! I was shocked but it makes total sense. Ron goes a step further and reforms the Stud Stable! Awesome angle all the way around. They end the show by putting a horrific beating on Shultz. Shultz is right, he doesn't have friends but now Fuller has a ton of enemies. You have really made Landel a star. Rat Patrol get some vengeance by taking the straps but this war is far from over. Damn, Madril, Herc, Bundy, Rich, Landel, Nightmares, Rat Patrol, Fuller, Golden, Shultz, Street...everybody is feuding! Love the chaos going on. Gordy continues his reign with a win over Grappler 2. Gordy has a long list of challengers to work with. Soul Patrol has some new enemies with Kendo and Kabuki. LOL, love that DQ finish with the Blondes pulling out the trick on Cooley and Casey. OMG gets a big win over Lars. Looks like the TV title will be on the line next time. Every week you raise the bar. Tremendous work!

I agree, the Russians might have the odds in their favor but messing with Allen before Nikita's world tile match might be bad news for Nikita. Manny and Dr. Death almost pull it off! Looking forward to the Stampede tag tournament. With your stacked tag roster, this will be damn good. Flair and Heenan are confident and say the title will be Flair's. Hart disagrees and gives Flair a good slap. Like the build of McCord as he gets in line for a light heavyweight title shot. Sheepherders hang tough with Sheik's men but the numbers game eventually comes into play until Anvil runs out to even things up! Great show as lots of storylines are advancing.

My guys Oliver and Miller open the show with a win. Nice start. That Crusher/Bruiser-Super Destroyers match was a brawl! Rude gets a solid win over Brett Sawyer. Fantastics continue to roll as tag champs. Ok, that main event was well worth the price of admission. What a match! Watching Harley and Bullet go 60 minutes would of been awesome.

Nice spot shows. Liked the battle of the Fabulous match as the Freebirds take down the Blondes. Such a fun match. Lars Anderson keeps his momentum going as he retains against Don Bass. Love the Soul Patrol/Nightmares feud. They're so evenly matched and that draw proves it. Grappler 2 earns a title shot defeating Olympia. I know that 6 man tag had the fans rock'n! Rich gets back in title contention with that pin on Landel. Tension heats up between Gordy and OMG as Fuji brings out the salt. Fuller and Golden show off their toughness with a brutal cage win over Kabuki and Kendo.

Just like tonight, cards at the Omni always delivered. Will Vines and Sword bring back the Devil's Duo name? Prichard arrives and gets a strong win. Rock n Roll Buck wins the gauntlet and now gets a shot at Brad's title. Kokina and Haystacks is boiling and ready to explode! Patera and Blackwell are causing havoc for Muraco and Norvell. Norvell even does the stretcher job! Ole issues the open challenge and none other than RICK MARTEL accepts! What a way to debut with a win over Ole. Reed looks great tonight as he defeats Arn then goes to work on Hiro and Duk. All is good until Saito shows up! Oh man a Reed/Saito match is going to be hard hitting and brutal! Great show! I love the direction you're going.

Good grief what a show! You did something I've always wanted to do or see in fantasy, you brought the Jive Tones together! AWESOME! I always loved the team of Conway and Whatley. Like Gene said, with the Movement gimmick they'll be taken more seriously. Garvin gets the shot at Windham by winning a fun battle royal. Loved the set up with Grappler and Kerry. Glamour Boys are having a great time until the Highwaymen ruin it with a severe beatdown. Classic contrast feud here. The Iceman has come home! Damn, Grappler put the hurt on Kerry! This feud will be bloody. Tatum is in and Chick is out LOL according to Garvin. "Oh yea forgot to tell you, we don't need you anymore" HAHAHA, that cracked me up. Oh man Bruiser Brody arrives and immediately slams Studd! Bock/Studd/Kevin and Brody! Cant wait for that tag match! Non stop action tonight!

Solid card here. LOL, love the Marvelous Masked Manager and his stable of masked men. Bullet comes to town and wins a battle royal. Now his sights are set on the Masked Superstar. Watch out! Ray Stevens has gone heel! Even though they came up short, love that team of Oliver and Miller. Harley once again retains.

Huge debut for Adams as he arrives and immediately makes an impact. I know Mike Von Erich and Blackjack are very happy men right now. Somebody who's not very happy is Sweet Brown Sugar as he seems to be a target right now. Samoans look good. Looking forward to their series with the Mountain Men. That will be all sorts of fun! Grizzly Boone does his talking in the ring. LOL, cant wait to see Sonny King in the cage. Hillbilly looked strong but man does he have a tough task ahead with the Big Cat. Ladd promises to put him down as well as Wahoo. Great promo by Ox as he gets ready for his shot against Wahoo.

TNT Wrestling @ The Roanne Fieldhouse, Memphis TN 7-26-84 A music video opens the show with Summer Blast 84 highlights. Back live, the camera pans around the arena. Better lightning with the AWA banner hanging in the background and the TNT logo in the middle of the ring. Lance Russell: Hello everybody and welcome to the new and improved TNT wrestling here on the USA network. Well, Summer Blast 84 is in the books and joining me now is the commissioner of TNT, Larry the Axe Hennig. Hennig: Thank you Lance. First I want to thank the thousands of fans who came out and took part in the history making Summer Blast 84. What a tremendous event that was. I hate to open with bad news but due to the post match assault by Terry Funk, Tito Santana suffered severe injuries and will be out of action for awhile. Tito, get well soon buddy. I have no idea what came over Terry Funk but that assault was uncalled for and... Boos as TNT Champ Terry Funk makes his way out. Funk: Listen up real good Commissioner. I told you and all these egg sucking dogs out here that I was going to hold on to this title by any means necessary. Hennig: Wait a minute, you ended up with the DQ win. Tito had nothing to do with Tully Blanchard's interference. Funk: See! You're just as dumb as everybody else. Tito set this all up but luckily the Ref saw what happened. But Tito had to suffer the consequences and so I gave him some Texas justice. Now that I'm done with that manipulator, I want to know who's next! Hennig: Funny you should ask. Tully Blanchard was next in line for a shot but because he interfered in the TNT title bout, I've decided to take away that shot. There will be an 8 man tournament to decide the number 1 contender. Funk: Fine with me but the only thing the winner of that tournament receives is an ass whipp'n from me! Funk exits. Lance: Ok, huge announcement from the commissioner. Larry, I'm looking forward... More boos as Tully Blanchard storms out! Tully: What the hell is going on?! That shot was mine! Nothing but more disrespect. First Austin Idol hits me from behind and gets a fluke win for my TV title and now this! The only reason I was out there during that TNT title bout was to scout my future opponent. That's it! I've had it with being mistreated and disrespected. These next words are words I thought I would never say but I QUIT! Tully storms out. Commercial Break Billy Squire's 'Everybody wants you' blasts over the speakers as the Fabulous Ones make their way to the ring, hugging the woman and slapping hands with the guys. AWA Southern Tag Team Champs The Fabulous Ones vs. Gary Williams and Vic Dutro The fans are cheering as the Fabs go to work. They double dropkick Dutro out of the ring. Keirn swings Williams to the ropes and hits him in the mid section as Lane hits a sunset flip for the pin! The fans roar as the Fabs hold their tag titles high. The Cuban Assassins led by Ratamyus hit the ring and nail the Fabs from behind! They put the boots to them, pick them up and hurl them out of the ring. Ratamyus points down at the belts and the Assassins pick them up and raise them to the booing fans. Commercial Break Lance: Oh my! It looks like Ratamyus and his Cuban Assassins want a shot at the titles. Speaking of Ratamyus, he will be here next week with Ivan Putski. We all saw that strange occurrence between them at Summer Blast. Well earlier it seemed Tully Blanchard quit TNT. He might just need some time to calm down. We also heard Larry Hennig make the tournament announcement to determine the number one contender. Lot's going on. Please welcome my guest Jerry The King Lawler. Massive cheers as Lawler walks over wearing his king's crown. Lawler: Thank you Lance and it's always great to be home! Now that my business with Jimmy Hart and his family is done, I want in that tournament. It's been awhile since the king had some gold.... Bill Dundee walks out. Dundee: Jerry, I don't mean to interrupt but brother now that our business is done, I also want in the tournament! You're not the only one who wants some gold. Dream Machine walks out. Dream: Listen up babay, I loved that beating we put on the Hart Family in the cage but there's no feeling like holding a title and that's exactly what I want! Austin Idol walks out with the TV title on his shoulder. Idol: Hold on just one second. It looks to me like I'm the only one here holding gold so if anyone deserves a spot in the tournament it's the Universal Heartthrob Jack! All 4 men are grinning and staring at each other into the commercial. Commercial Break Special Challenge Match Mr. Wrestling 2 and 3 banned from ringside 'Downtown' Denny Brown vs. 'The One and Only' Steve O These 2 have been at each other for quite sometime and look to settle things once and for all tonight. Denny controls early with several takedowns. Steve turns the tide with a low kick followed by a snap suplex. Steve angrily stomps away then chokes Denny with his boot and follows with a boot rake across the face. Steve body slams Denny, hops on the middle ropes and crashes down with a knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Steve berates the Ref then stomps on Denny. Steve swings Denny to the ropes and back drops him. Denny staggers up and Steve puts him down with a running forearm blast. Steve drops an elbow 1..2..Denny gets his shoulder up. Steve picks up Denny, swings him to the ropes and goes for another back drop but Denny kicks him and follows with a clothesline. Both men slowly stagger up. Denny executes an Oklahoma Roll 1..2..3! He got him! Denny rolls out of the ring and celebrates with the crowd as Steve pounds on the mat with anger. Commercial Break Lance: So much going on tonight as it seems everybody wants in the number 1 contender tournament. The fans boo as once again Terry Funk comes out. Funk: Hey Lawler! It seems to me you, Dundee and Dream Machine want to let off some steam. How about next week, the 3 of you take on myself and 2 partners of my choosing. And I'll tell you what, I'll put this TNT title on the line! That's right, if somebody is lucky enough to pin me, they'll become TNT champ. You boys got the guts? Lance: Terry Funk must be out of his mind. Let's go back to the ring. Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Frank James Wait a second, Gene Anderson is leading Tsuruta to the ring! Gene says something to Tsuruta and Tsuruta storms his opponent as the bell rings. Tsuruta swings James into the corner and viciously assaults him with kicks and chops. Tsuruta swings James to the ropes and puts him down with a big boot. Tsuruta picks up James and POWERBOMB'S him down 1..2..3! The fans boo as Gene leads Tsuruta to the podium. Lance: Gene Anderson! What are you doing here? Gene: Jumbo Tsuruta should be the AWA World Champion right now but thanks to his former and careless manager, he's not! That is an atrocity! I'm here because Jumbo Tsuruta deserves better and believe me, with me in his corner, nothing can stop him...nothing! While I'm at it, Larry Hennig, you better put Jumbo Tsuruta in the tournament! Commercial Break Gino Brito Jr. is waiting in the ring. Johnny Valiant is at the podium. Valiant: Lance Russell, I'm very excited to introduce to you, a man who's going to take TNT by storm, the Golden Boy Jerry Grey! Grey arrogantly comes out combing his blonde hair. Valiant: We wanted to make a splash in TNT so we handpicked that dummy Brito to be Grey's first TNT win. Valiant and Grey laugh as they enter the ring. Gino Brito Jr. vs. 'The Golden Boy' Jerry Grey w/Johnny Valiant Brito hammers away on Grey, swings him to the ropes and drop kicks him down. Grey staggers up and Brito scoop slams him down. Brito grabs a leg and drops an elbow on it, then repeats it 2 more times and clamps on the figure four! Valiant hops on the apron. The Ref goes over and is yelling at Valiant to get down. The fans boo as Richard Charland hits the ring and drops an elbow on Brito. Charland picks Brito up and hits a backbreaker then rolls out of the ring. The Ref turns around as Grey limps up and hits another backbreaker on Brito 1..2..3! Grey rolls out of the ring and the fans boo as Valiant hugs him and raises his arm before exiting. More boos as Charland goes back in the ring. He swings Brito to the ropes but misses a clothesline, Brito swings back and clotheslines Charland down. The fans are loving it but WHAM! Brito is clotheslined from behind by Bob Della Serra! Bob stomps away on Brito then helps Charland up. They swing Brito to the ropes and double clothesline him down! The fans cheer as Denny Brown his the ring swinging a chair! Charland and Della Serra get out of there as Denny attends to Brito. Commercial Break Lance: Wow! Bob Della Serra has arrived and seems to be in cahoots with Richard Charland. Denny Brown and Gino Brito, come on over. Gino is still feeling the affects as Denny does the talking. Denny: Gino, I know what it's like fighting against the odds and I'll be damned if I was going to sit back and let that happen to somebody else. Anytime you need my help, you got it. Gino nods and shakes Denny's hand. Lance: Ok, looks like Denny Brown evens things up. Let's go to the ring, hold on, Jerry Lawler is out here. Lawler: Hey, Funk wants to shoot off his mouth, we'll let's see if he can back it up. We accept his challenge for next week! Lance: There you have it. Lawler, Dundee and Dream Machine go up against Funk and 2 mystery partners and if somebody gets the pin on Funk, they will be TNT champion. Should be a very interesting match for next week. Ok, back to the ring. The Continental Cowboys vs. Josh Winters and Clyde Putnam Brooks destroys Putnam then body slams him down and tags in Orton. Orton and Brooks hit a double rib breaker for the pin! Orton and Brooks cut a promo and say that the Kansas Jayhawks were no competition and they're hoping for better competition in the upcoming TNT tag team title tournament. Commercial Break Lance: Joining me once again is the Commissioner Larry Hennig. Larry, so much going on, my head is spinning. Larry: You're absolutely right Lance. Next week, I will announce the 8 names who will compete in the number 1 contender tournament. Also, next month in Evansville Indiana on August 17th, the eagerly anticipated TNT tag team title tournament will take place. One night, 8 teams, one team walks out TNT tag champs. If that wasn't enough, I've decided to bring to TNT, the Brass Knuckles Title! So, on Saturday night, August 10th in Nashville, Hercules Ayala will face Cocoa Samoa and the winner will be the first TNT Brass Knuckles Champion! Lance: Oh my! I couldn't think of 2 better wrestlers to fight for that title. Commercial Break Lance: Before his TNT debut, Art Crews has requested some time. Art comes out sporting a buzz cut and wearing an athletic jacket. Crews: Whoa, whoa whoa, you will refer to me as The Ace Art Crews! I'm the Ace because I'm the best at what I do and to prove it I can tell you right now, I will beat my opponent in under 3 minutes. The Ace always calls his shots. 'The Ace' Art Crews vs. Mark Baines Art hits a vertical suplex then hops up on the middle ropes. Baines staggers up and Art nails him with a flying dropkick. Art swings him to the ropes and hits a running shoulder tackle for the pin in under 3 minutes! Commercial Break Lance: Fans, up next should be a wild match as Bob Sweetan returns to TNT and his opponent is George Steele! I need to take cover. 'Bruiser' Bob Sweetan vs. George 'The Animal' Steele The bell rings and the brawl is on. These two hard hitters just go at it. Steele gets the momentum as he bites, chokes and stomps on Sweetan. Sweetan comes back with kicks and punches. They brawl to the outside. Steele grabs a cable and starts choking Sweetan. The Ref warns Steele but Steele doesn't listen. The Ref signals for the bell and Disqualifies Steele. Sweetan struggles and manages to hit a jaw breaker to get out of the predicament. Several Refs come out to make sure things don't go to far. Commercial Break Sweetan has left but Steele is still going crazy and threatening the Refs. Steele finally starts to head back. Mike Shaw comes out and heads towards the ring for his scheduled match. Shaw walks by and looks at Steele. Steele yells and swings his arms towards him. Shaw turns back around and heads to the ring but Steele nails him from behind! Steele then grabs Shaw by his hair and rams him into the steel post, busting him open! Wrestlers from the back come out and help the Refs get Steele out of there. Lance: Fans, this has been one chaotic show. Next week should be another wild one as well. See you next week!

Haystacks is going nuts and taking everybody out! I've got to give it to David, smart move acquiring that monster as his body guard. Kokina is looking strong and might be heading for a big showdown with Haystacks. Muraco adds muscle to the babyface side as he helps out Norvell. Andersons as champs feels so right. Reed and Ice Man fight it out but are attacked by Duk and Saito! Great angle here. I agree with Edger, you've done a great job in a short amount of time. Keep up the great work.

Horowitz and Fleming are defiantly the Cinderella tag team of the entire league! Bob Roop is gaining serious momentum. Johnson continues his great reign as he's fighting the odds with Graham and Ventura. Nice job using stars throughout the territory. Loved the interaction with Magnum, Orndorff and Dusty here in the WWF. So surreal but just to cool. Snuka and Backlund continue to tear it up with Backlund escaping with the title. Could Steamboat be next up for Backlund? The Brawl of All! That's going to be one wild cage match. Even Vince says this is on them. Cant wait!

Harts become serious contenders by winning that 4 corners match. Slater and Borne do serious damage as Hickerson does the stretcher job. Piper is going into crazy Piper mode. WATCH OUT! Spoiler and Texas Red win the titles! RnR will be looking for serious payback on Sommers and Easy Ed. Gotta say, I'm looking forward to Spoiler's and Red's reign of terror. Jake the Snake has arrived! I'm all for a Snake/Garvin feud! This is going to be awesome!

Great show and I like the addition of Dusek with Solie on commentary. Scott Hall gets a strong TV win over Kirby and is full of excitement during his promo. Nice touch with the phone call to Rich. LOL, I remembered them doing that as well. Rich is going after Race again but right now Race seems to have a firm grip on the title. No doubt these two will put on another classic. Buzz has harsh words for his brother as one of them will leave town. Michaels survives! Gibson celebrates with him but they receive a beating from the Super Destroyers and Superstar. LOL, it would be awesome to see Stevens cruising that Camaro.

The 2 ring battle royal kicks off the show! OMG and Lars advance to the TV title match. LOL, loved the way Lars won. I could picture Madril frantically warning Herc to look behind him HAHAHA great stuff. OMG looked dominant in winning. Looks like the Rat Patrol get the last laugh on the Nightmares. I really enjoyed this feud. WOW! Lars wins the TV title and even makes OMG submit! This is huge and puts Lars over as one tough dude. Tensions rise between Akbar and OMG. Tick, tick, tick. LOL, Madril's nephew cant get Brad to the arena on time. Street ends up fighting Herc and Madril until Bundy comes out for more payback on Herc. Great angle. Fuller and Golden end the great reign of Kabuki and Kendo! Once again Landel manages to walk out with the win. Tommy was one of the best bleeders in the business and it costs him here. I'm sure a rematch is coming. Dibiase and Gordy put on the classic I thought they would, going to a draw. The crowd wants more but Dibiase doesn't. Oh man I bet the fans were livid going home! Bullet Bob leaves town thanks to Landel, Madrl and Herc. I wonder how Shultz is going to feel about this??? Another awesome show Gene! Some stories end, some begin and others continue to get even more heat.

Since winning the TV title, David has had some bad luck, losing to Lothario and the frustration shows as he hits Young with the title. Looking forward to watching his reign play out. Hansen and Haystacks have a couple good brawls. From the start, I've liked the Siki/Kokina alliance. Muraco is really rolling. I don't think it will be long before he's wearing some gold. It's going to be hard taking the straps from the Andersons. Blackwell and Patera are tearing it up! Reed and Parsons are heading for an explosion.

SECW just keeps rolling! Landel is all over tonight as he has words for Shultz, Flair and the Andersons. He better be focused because TOMMY RICH arrives on the scene and gets a title shot! Rich is going to be huge here. 2 Ring battle royal with the winners battling for the TV title...Fantastic idea! Bundy has got to be an early favorite but in SECW you never know LOL. Another great Fiesta Garden as Street ends up against Dibiase. Loved this entire segment as it adds more heat with Street, Herc and Madril and also gets Dibiase more over as champ. Dibiase vs. Gordy will be a classic. Nightmares get a big TV win over Fuller and Golden. Can they get the last laugh on the Rat Patrol? The promos are on fire. You have Landel, Street, Alberto just tearing it up!

Props to you for running 2 territories. Amazing work. Love the Wahoo/Big Cat feud. Ladd's promo was priceless. Looking forward to the Ciclon/Sugar feud. I'm a sucker for lower/mid card feuds. Mountain Men mean business. Embry better watch his mouth. He's got an angry Von Erich after him along with Mulligan! Oh snap! Bad News going toe to toe with Nikita! AWESOME! WOW! Orndorff shows up and destroys Martel! Big shocker moment! Orndorff will be huge here. Nice TV match with the Road Warriors. The surprises continue as Neidhart brings in the Sheepherders! Wild brawl ensues. This feud will be all sorts of crazy. Flair crosses the line and Bret puts him down. Cant wait for the Flair/Hart match!

Another exciting loop in SECW! Lars Anderson arrives. Olympia/Hercules is the type of match up I love. Street gets a solid win over Madril but Herc and Madril do a number on him. I was waiting for this gimmick match and you never disappoint. Fuller and Golden show the Nightmares how to do it. Bugsy was racking up wins and deserved that shot against Landel. Landel retains but I know Bugsy gave him a run for his money. Great main event as Akbar's men beat the Freebirds in a street fight! Akbar is getting some momentum going again. This could be dangerous.

Love the push Scott Hall is getting. Poffo's continue to be a cohesive family unit. Cant say the same about the Sawyers LOL. Even with Duggan's interference, still a big win for Brett. The young guys are picking up some wins. Harley gets in a nice title defense against Dick the Bruiser. Look at that lineup for the Super Bowl of wrestling! Oh man cant wait for that 2 day extravaganza!

TNT sends Jimmy Hart to Great Lakes. To fill the spot, TNT picks up Bob Dellaserra from Free Agency.

TNT drops Stan Stasiak and would like to pick up Gene Anderson as a manager.

TNT puts the Honkytonk Man and Jimmy Hart on the trade block. I can send both in a package deal for one wrestler in return. Also considering moving Tony Atlas. I would rather send him to another territory than watch him slide down the card here.

You defiantly have Bock down LOL. Great promo. Barry Windham is a marked man as both Studd and the Grappler are coming after him. Islanders pick up a huge win over The Movement! Conway shows his power and orders a beat down. I bet Candy and Brown will be coming after him. Hickerson and Duncum are perfect as the Highwaymen. Nice job here. Damn what a main event! Saito looks double tough but Kevin shows how tough he is by making him submit. Kevin looks strong going into a match with Bock for the title. Cant wait for that blockbuster match.

Man, so much happening in Pacific! Roddy Piper returns! Rose has been taking every challenger down but now he must deal with a crazy Hot Rod! Love the team of Slater and Borne! Also like the Guerreros playing heels. It pays off as they capture the Golden State tag titles. Garvin wins the TV title and it looks like he will be a true fighting champ. Pacific is defiantly a place where you need friends.

Great to see you back! Khan continues his path of destruction. Bob Roop gets credibility right away with a win over Pat Patterson Blair and Bart make such a unique team. Teaming together guys like this is what makes this game fun. Jr. tourney provides some exciting match ups. Magnum continues his hot streak with a win over the Body! Awesome feuds like Snuka/Backlund and Rougeaus/Samoans continue to keep the fire burning.
