  1. WCW is off and running! I love the top 10 ratings. Pillman and Zenk will bring the youthful excitement, that's for sure. Can't wait to find out what's in the box for Sullivan. I was actually getting ready to do something similar at SuperClash LOL. Look at that, the original horsemen are back together again. Great stuff! Lots of intrigue going on in the world title picture. Flair better be ready because he's got Sting, Luger and Muta gunning for him. Race and Orton is such an old school badass team. Looking forward to watching Martel, Owen and Bulldog transition to WCW. Future Shock will definitely set WCW's tone for 1990.

  3. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 12-6-89 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. We're on the road to SuperClash 4 and a lot is going on. Tonight's TV title contender's match will be for a title shot at SuperClash. The lucky men that were drawn are Bill Kazmaier and get this, he was to make his AWA debut tonight and believe it or not his name was drawn. I'm talking about Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart. Stan Hansen will be in action right here, tonight! AWA world tag champs, the Fantastics will be in the ring. Also, Nikita Koloff will be tuning up for his big world title match in a handicap match tonight. Ok, let's get to the ring for 8 man tag action. 'Bullet' Bob Armstrong/Iceman Parsons/Sweet Brown Sugar and Brutus Beefcake vs. Carl Kellerman/William Hillman/Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Everybody shines tonight. Parsons hits his Hip Attack. Sugar hits a missile dropkick. Beefcake hits his running high knee and Armstrong finishes things off with a Jaw Breaker. The 4 men give a fired up and passionate promo about their Elimination Match with a twist against the All-Stars at SuperClash. They say they've been through all the battles and promise to end the war and the All-Stars at SuperClash! Commercial Break 'Olympian' Ken Patera w/Brad Rheingans vs. Todd Rooney Rheingans is wearing a shoulder brace due to his injury from Steve Disalvo a few weeks ago. Patera shows off his power and strength and wins the match with a swinging full nelson. Nelson: Ok, Ken Patera, you made the challenge and Steve Disalvo accepted. You two will meet at SuperClash. Patera: I'm dedicating my SuperClash win over that weakling Disalvo to my friend and partner, Brad Rheingans. Disalvo, you're nothing but a low down dirty cheater! You injured my friend and now I'm going to hurt you. You're no match for me! Rheingans: I'm just happy I'm going to get an up close view of watching that despicable Disalvo suffer. Commercial Break Stan 'The Lariat' Hansen vs. Warren Coolidge Hansen just destroys Coolidge and finishes him off with his lariat! Hansen goes to the outside, pushes Nelson out of the way and grabs his bull rope. Hansen gets in the ring and chokes Coolidge with it. The crowd goes nuts as PAUL ORNDORFF hits the ring!!! Orndorff clotheslines Hansen from behind! Orndorff stomps down on Hansen. The fans are going nuts as Orndorff hoists Hansen up and piledrives him down!! The atmosphere is electric! Orndorff rips off his shirt, throws it down on Hansen and gives the fans a pumped up flex. Orndorff is back! Commercial Break The Moondogs w/Skandor Akbar vs. Sam and Steve Smith Akbar applauds as Rex hits a backbreaker on Sam, holds him as Spot comes off the middle ropes with a knee to the chest for the win. Afterwards, the Moondogs grab their bones and give their fallen opponents a beat down with them. Akbar gives a promo and says after what just happened is there any doubt that the Moondogs are going to win the SuperClash tag team battle royal and the National tag titles. He warns all the teams especially Karachi Vice that the Moondogs will cause destruction at SuperClash! Commercial Break Tommy Jammer vs. Colt Stevens Jammer hits the California Splash for the win. Jammer steps on his opponent's chest and does a surfing pose that irks the fans. Nelson: Tommy, it appears that nobody has yet to answer your SuperClash challenge. Jammer: You know I have to say, I'm disappointed but not surprised. I thought the AWA was the Major Leagues. No worries, I guess I'll go back to sunny California and ride some waves. At least I'll find some excitement there, which is a lot more that I can say about the AWA. Cheers as Leo Burke walks out. Burke: I'll get straight to the point. I'll accept your challenge and wrestle you at SuperClash. You wanted an opponent, you got one. Jammer: (pauses, then chuckles) Look dude, I was looking for an opponent but come on man. Didn't you just lose last week to Terry Taylor? I need a bigger challenge and I don't deal with losers. Thanks Pops, but no thanks. Burke: Well, maybe this will change your mind. Burke slaps Jammer across the face! Burke: Better learn some respect...son. Burke walks away. Nelson smirks as Jammer holds his cheek. Jammer: Ok dude! It's on! Jammer walks away still holding his cheek. Commercial Break SuperClash 4 Update Resnick: Fans, things are really heating up as we get closer to SuperClash. It's going to be a clash of the titans when Hulk Hogan defends the AWA world title against Nikita Koloff. As we heard, there was only one man who could properly announce that match and it's Michael Buffer. Rock music sensation Pat Benatar will kick things off with America the Beautiful. And listen to this. AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow said there will be a special referee enforcer for the Elimination match. Well, it's a bombshell because the one and only MR.T has been given that job! If there's one man that can handle that job, it's Mr. T. It all goes down in Denver Colorado, live on pay per view, Friday January 3rd. BE THERE! Commercial Break AWA World Tag Team Champs The Fantastics vs. Harold Bannister and Ray Glader During the match, the Rock n Roll Express come to ringside to scout the champs. The Fantastics look annoyed by this but get focused and win the match with the Rocket Launcher. The Fantastics hurry to the outside. They have words with RnR. Ricky and Robert are telling them they were just scouting. More words are exchanged. Tempers get heated and a pushing match ensues. Officials run out to break it up. Commercial Break David Sammartino vs. Paul Worth Sammartino finishes things off with a belly to belly suplex! Boos as Larry Zbyszko hits the ring with his nun chucks! Sammartino turns around as Larry swings, but Sammartino ducks and just goes to town on Larry with punches. Sammartino swings Larry to the ropes and kicks him in the gut. As Larry slouches over, Sammartino picks up the nun chucks and whacks Larry across the back with them! Larry goes down and rolls to the apron, then falls to the outside. Larry is in grimacing pain holding his back as a pumped up Sammartino soaks in the cheers. Commercial Break Winner gets an AWA TV Title shot at SuperClash Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart vs. 'The World's Strongest Man' Bill Kazmaier What a way for the Anvil to make his debut. However, Kaz is looking to spoil it. These two powerhouses trade some hard hitting shots and power moves. A few minutes in, Kaz finally gets an advantage. Kaz swings Anvil to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash. Kaz picks up Anvil and hits a backbreaker. Kaz swings Anvil to the ropes and clamps on a bearhug! Kaz puts all his muscle into it as Anvil tries to survive. Anvil is able to rake Kaz's eyes and follow with an eye gouge to finally break it. Anvil catches his breath and hurls Kaz outside the ring. Anvil goes to the apron. Kaz staggers up as Anvil nails him with a double axehandle. Anvil swings Kaz into the steel post. Anvil grabs Kaz and rams him back first into the apron. Anvil hurls Kaz back into the ring. Anvil uses his incredible strength and hoists Kaz up and delivers a running powerslam 1..2..3! Anvil strokes his goatee and is heading to SuperClash to meet Tom Brandi for the TV title. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, before we get to our final match, I want to announce that the AWA world champion Hulk Hogan will be here next week! I'm sure he will have a lot to talk about regarding his match with Nikita Koloff at SuperClash. Also next week, Konnan goes one on one with BlackBlood. That should be quite the SuperClash preview. Ok, back to the ring. 'The Russian Nightmare' Nikita Koloff w/Col. Debeers vs. Marvin Moore and Lance Richards Nikita decimates both men. He nails Moore with the Russian Sickle! Then drops Richards with a Russian Sickle! Nikita puts a hand on each man's chest as the Ref counts 1..2..3! Debeers raises Nikita's arm as the fans boo. Nelson: After what went down at the Press Conference... Debeers cuts him off. Debeers: What went down was an eye opener for the great American Hulk Hogan. I have unleashed the true Russian Nightmare and Hulk Hogan just got a taste. At SuperClash, Nikita Koloff is going to do what he's done to all the other evil and cowardly Americans. He's going to win the fight and reclaim what's been rightfully his all along, the AWA world title! Koloff: Hogan! Hogan! The time is ticking. Your time is ticking as your worst nightmare awaits! You have what belongs to Nikita. Nikita take more than AWA world title. Nikita take away everything you are! Nikita show the world that a weak American like you is a disgrace to world title. You're an imposter holding on to my title! Nikita take back what is his! SuperClash will be the nightmare the AWA needs to happen! The show ends with Debeers twirling his mustache as Nikita sticks out his tongue and does a trap pose.

Damn, Johnson's finish was visually stunning. What a way to start the night. Flynn gets noticed with a beautiful spin kick finish. Tamura edges out Yamada with a classic Boston Crab submission. Benoit shines but Shamrock catches him with a surprise victory. Hopefully these guys go at it again. Karelin has been quietly dominating and just might take it all. Yamazaki puts up a fight but in the end Maeda proves he's still the man. Loved that suplex/armbar finish. Props to Takada, he withstood a tremendous amount of punishment, but man that finishing blow by Vader sealed the deal. Vader vs. Maeda is going to be epic! Sayama once again gets the best of Fujiwara in one heck of a main event. Sayama definitely earned his way into the finals. Your knowledge and write ups continue to impress me. Great job!
  5. Looks like you've got things mapped out well and are ready to go. Can't wait to watch what you do with the WWF in 1990!
  6. Survivor Series! Here we go! The Human Wrecking Machine Zeus goes on an absolute tear. Martel looks like a million bucks. However, in the end, the Bulldog is the last man standing. Hahahaha I love how Duggan just says screw it and takes the DQ allowing Quake and Bravo to win it. A lot of chaos in the next match. Tito looks good but damn, Muta was incredible. Technically Dusty is the sole survivor but not sure he actually survived. Heenan pays the price for cheating which leads to a dominating finish by Warrior ending the night on a high note. I really liked how you wrapped things up with the bonus house shows. Props to you on a tremendous WWF run.
  7. Lancaster's fired up tonight and upsets Gorgeous Jimmy. Who better than Blackjack Mulligan to enforce law and order in Florida. Armstrong's arrive and quickly get over with a win over the New Breed. New Breed better regain focus. The entire Mando/Graham segment was outstanding. The stipulation, Blackjack and the surprise appearance by Hector and Chavo. Very well done. Rockers give it their all but the HoH still find a way to break the rules and win. I agree with Ross, the Price/Cannonball feud just might be the top feud going. Chaos ends the show which sets things up for the big cage match next week. Damn, there's never a dull moment in Florida.
  8. AWA releases Tatsumi Fujinami AWA picks up JW Storm
  9. Dutch took care of business but it didn't seem to rattle Sinister much I always liked how PCW gives its departing wrestlers a chance to say goodbye Bigelow is fired up for 1990 Great continuity with Busick. It looks like he's back with the old gang. Iron and Steel cut off ties with Sinister. However, there's something more sinister going on here. Severn and Blackman might be making a run at the tag gold Windham looks to get back on track Hart and Austin respectfully go their separate ways Hashimoto keeps his amazing run going. Vancouver, Eagle fly's solo and rebounds well. Lee's the new lone wolf in PCW Williams might be Steamboat's next challenger Love the match up between Hart and Rose look at that, Iron and Steel are winning over fans. Maybe Austin should hook up with these guys. Steamboat fends off Gordy a second time Kelowna, Scotty picks up a solid win...with a little help Tenryu is back on his path of destruction Austin hearing the cheers The Blondes rule breaking isn't enough to take the titles from PR Dragon's going to have an exciting reign Malenko's a submission machine 1989 was an incredible year in PCW. Bring on the 90s!
  10. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-29-89 Highlights are shown of the SuperClash 4 World title press conference. The ending sees Col Debeers hit Hogan from behind with a chair and Nikita follow with a Russian Sickle that sends Hogan tumbling over the podium. Nelson: Hello everyone and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Well, you all just saw what went down at the Press Conference. That explosive world title match will take place at SuperClash. Big show tonight as you'll see 2 big title matches. Terry Taylor defends the International title against Leo Burke. Also, Tom Brandi defends the TV title against Derrick Dukes. All that and a lot more, so let's go to the ring and kick things off with our huge International title match. AWA International Title Bout 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor (C) vs. Leo Burke The bell rings. Taylor slicks his ponytail back and flings his hands at Burke. Burke responds by knocking Taylor down with a running forearm blast. Burke picks up Taylor, swings him to the ropes and nails him with a back elbow smash, then follows with a knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Burke continues to work over Taylor and executes a vertical suplex 1..2..Kick Out. Burke swings Taylor into the corner and charges in, but Taylor lifts his knees as Burke crashes into them. Taylor clears the cobwebs and angrily stomps down on Burke. Taylor swings Burke to the ropes and back drops him. Taylor swings off the ropes and hits Burke with a forearm drop 1..2..Kick Out. Taylor snapmares Burke over and applies a chinlock. Taylor wrenches away. Burke fights it and starts to fire up. Burke rises with Taylor on his back. Burke back pedals Taylor into the turnbuckles. Burke turns around and unloads on Taylor with European uppercuts. Burke hip tosses Taylor across the ring. Taylor staggers up as Burke puts him down with a clothesline 1..2..Kick Out. Burke reaches down but Taylor lowblows Burke, rakes his eyes and quickly cradles Burke with a handful of tights 1..2..3! Burke is keeled over as Taylor rolls out of the ring. Taylor gets his title and pats himself on the back. Commercial Break Karachi Vice vs. Carl Kellerman and William Hillman Makhan hits a corner splash on Hillman, slams him down and tags in Gama. Gama finishes things off with the Boston Crab. Karachi Vice cut a promo on the SuperClash battle royal for the National tag titles. They say they'll be the last team standing and note that they'll see the Moondogs in there. Commercial Break Nelson: Coming out now is the AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow. Brenda Britton walks over. Britton: Alright Nelson, you know the deal. Nelson rolls his eyes and exits. Britton: Hi everybody! Your AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow would like to address you all. Morrow: Hahahahaha thank you Brenda. Boos as the All-Stars, Austin Idol, Chicky Starr, Dream Machine and Brian Adias storm out. They all start yelling at Morrow at the same time. Morrow: Gentlemen please, calm down. Idol: Ok, it's like this darling, we were robbed plain and simple. The All-Stars were cheated! Our buddy Bill Dundee was seriously injured by Muraco and is nowhere to be seen. It's like this Gerry. We won the War Games fair and square but Armstrong, Parsons, Sugar and Beefcake had to cheat their way to wins. In other words, this isn't over. Dream: That's right babay! Morrow: You do bring up a good point. You did win War Games and now they have won the series of matches. I had a feeling this wouldn't be settled. So, here's what I propose. At SuperClash, de 4 of you will wrestle de 4 of them in an elimination match with a twist. When a fall occurs in de match, de match will stop. De wrestlers in de ring will then leave de match. However, de winner of dat fall will remain with de AWA while de loser will leave de AWA. I will also appoint a special enforcer to make sure de wrestlers are escorted out so there are no problems for de reminder of de match. It is the only way to be fair and end dis feud. The All-Stars huddle up. Idol: It's a deal darling! I guarantee the 4 of us will remain in the AWA. Starr: (slowly dusting off his hands) They go down. Easy as that. Adias: Nobody gets the best of the All-Stars! Nobody! Britton: Wow! Another big SuperClash announcement from your AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow. It always happens here. Tooooodles! Commercial Break Carlos Colon vs. Trent Watkins Colon wins the match with a flying clothesline from the top rope. Colon cuts a promo on his no time limit match with Tony St. Clair at SuperClash. Colon says they've gone the limit twice but at SuperClash, despite what Les Thornton thinks, he's going to outwrestle and defeat St. Clair once and for all. Commercial Break We come back and see Stan Hansen in front of a SuperClash banner Hansen: Paul Orndorff! I broke your skinny neck and now you want more? Fine by me boy! I will be more than happy to end your career permanently! See you at SuperClash! (Hansen spits tobacco on the ground) Nelson: Strong words from Stan Hansen. He'll be in action right here next week. Right now I would like to bring out the AWA world tag team champs, the Fantastics. Huge pop as the Fantastics come out. They hold their titles high as the fans cheer. Rogers: Larry, before we say anything, we want to invite the Rock n Roll Express out here. Another huge pop as RnR come out. The two teams start off with some respectful comments. Then they have some fun bantering about their similar looks and styles. Things get a little heated but stay respectful when they start talking about who the better team really is. Things get more intense when RnR say they're walking out of SuperClash with the titles. The Fantastics tell RnR they made a big mistake giving up the National titles because that's the only gold they're ever going to see in the AWA. The two teams get nose to nose and a pushing match ensues. Officials quickly come out to break things up before it goes to a different level. Commercial Break SuperClash 4 Update Ken Resnick is standing in front of a SuperClash banner. Resnick: Fans, things are really heating up as we're on the road to SuperClash 4. I still can't believe what went down at the World Title press conference. Hulk Hogan vs. Nikita Koloff is going to be an epic showdown we'll never forget. Ok new matches signed this week. It's now official that Terry Taylor will defend the International title against Don Muraco. You heard about the elimination match with a twist. It was announced that Col Debeers will indeed be in action that night against Spike Huber. I've also been told that next week's TV title drawing match will be for a shot at SuperClash. Also just announced, El Canek and Konnan will take on Blackblood and Soultaker in a street fight! And lets not forget about the celebrities which include Pat Benatar singing America the Beautiful and none other than Michael Buffer announcing the main event. It all happens on January 3rd in Denver Colorado live on pay per view! SuperClash 4...Be There! Commercial Break 'The Rock' Don Muraco w/Superstar Graham vs. Todd Rooney Muraco aggressively wins the match with a tombstone piledriver. Graham is in Muraco's ear as they head too ringside. Nelson: Ok, at SuperClash you Don Muraco will wrestle Terry Taylor for the International title. Muraco: That's right! I beat that little runt Bill Dundee to get this shot and now I'm going to do the same to you Taylor! No mercy! No mercy! No mercy! Graham: Donnie's a little fired up right now. Just take it easy Donnie. Calm down and let's not let aggression get in the way of staying focused. You got this brother. Just be cool. Muraco: Hey, at SuperClash it's for all the marbles Billy. This is why I'm in the AWA and there's no way I'm coming up short at SuperClash. You're going down Taylor! And that's a fact! Commercial Break 'The Living Legend' Larry Zbyszko vs. Roland Jenkins Zbyszko easily wins the match with a swinging neckbreaker. Nelson: Ok, Larry, it will be you and David Sammartino locked inside a steel cage at SuperClash. Zbyszko: Wow Spudhead, thanks for the update. You really earn your money around here. So, Bruno's boy wants to play grown up and get into the cage with me. Let me tell you something punk. You've been a thorn in my side for way too long. At SuperClash, I'm taking you to Larry Land and I'm going to take great pleasure in grinding that stupid face of yours into the cage. You'll be left a bloody mess when I get through with you. I'm going to beat you so bad that your daddy won't even recognize you. Commercial Break AWA TV Title Bout 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi (C) vs. Derrick Dukes w/The Vin Man The first few minutes is fast paced back and forth action. Brandi gets in some high energy offense with dropkicks, hip tosses, arm drags, back drops and assorted flying maneuvers. Dukes comes back with some explosive offense as well such as body slams, suplexes, clotheslines and dropkicks. Brandi gets back in control until a distraction from Vinnie puts Dukes back in control. Dukes executes a hanging vertical suplex, then goes to the top rope. Dukes goes for a flying elbow drop but Brandi moves at the last second. Brandi regroups and goes to town on Dukes. Vinnie hops on the apron but Brandi dropkicks him off! Brandi quickly goes to the top rope. Dukes staggers up as Brandi hits a beautiful flying press 1..2..3!!! The show ends with Brandi standing on the turnbuckles holding his title high to the cheering fans.
  11. WrestleWar! Embry's fighting spirit is really getting over with the fans. If you're going to put Woman's wrestling on the map, Medusa is the perfect choice to build around. Kerin and Dutch continue to put everything they have into this throwback Memphis feud. I absolutely loved the pay off with the DWB storyline. The Armstrong "injury" angle was so well done. Brad gets some gold! I thought for sure Doom was going to take this one hahaha. Very creative ending. Jimmy is a lot smarter than we thought. The team of HTM and Valentine were a guilty pleasure of mine, so it's cool seeing them get a title run. Whoever that big blonde man was, he certainly is an ally and good friend of Slaughter. Big moment for Sarge. Nice touch having it all come down to Hayes and Roberts. Hayes is the last Freebird standing. Talk about sweet revenge. I liked that you had Hart really get his head shaved and didn't cheat the fans. This has been the week of epic 60 minute draws. All I can say is I can't wait for the rematch. Excellent show!
  12. AWA SuperClash World Title Press Conference @ The Marriot Hotel Grand Ballroom, Denver Co Verne Gagne stands up at the podium in stage. There's a huge SuperClash 4 banner behind him. Nikita Koloff and Col. Debeers sit on one side. Hulk Hogan sits on the other side with the world title in front of him. AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow and Brenda Britton stand behind Verne. Extra Security is all over the place. Reporters and V.I.P.'s are seated in the audience. Verne: Thank you all for coming out. As you know, SuperClash has been the flagship event for the AWA. January 3rd at the McNichols Arena will truly be a historic and epic night for the AWA. You will witness the biggest AWA world title match in history as Hulk Hogan defends the AWA world title against Nikita Koloff. With a match of this magnitude, it's only fitting we bring in the best ring announcer. None other than Michael Buffer will do the honors. Before we get to the comments from the wrestlers involved, it should be noted that Col. Debeers has applied for and received a one night manager's license to be in Nikita's corner at SuperClash. Also, Debeers has been booked in a match at SuperClash against Spike Huber. Col. Debeers will now have his time to speak. Followed by Nikita Koloff and then the champ Hulk Hogan. Debeers: Let me address the AWA's feeble attempt to distract myself at SuperClash with a match. Simply put, Spike Huber is meaningless and will be made an example of. This is just pathetic because the AWA is trying to keep mine and Nikita Koloff's eyes off the prize. I told everyone that we're wide awake and nothing will stop Nikita Koloff from winning the AWA world title. That's where I agree with Verne Gagne. SuperClash will indeed be a historic night because that's the night America's biggest hero will fall prey to the Russian Nightmare. Nikita stands up, shakes hands with Debeers, then goes to the podium. Koloff: Let Nikita talk about the AWA. Nikita was the one who fought for AWA and the fans! Nikita was the one who was involved in bloody wars with evil, vile and corrupted men. All Americans! Nikita has world title stolen from him by disgraceful American. Hulk Hogan arrive and everybody forget about Nikita and all he do! Hogan is selfish man who use Nikita. (stares at Hogan) Just looking at this weak man makes me want to smash his face in! I promise you this Hulk Hogan, Nikita will put you down hard so that you never get up! I will make all America cry when they see you laying there begging and pleading for your life. The world title come back home to Nikita! Nikita looks at Hogan and does a trap pose. Hogan stands up as Security closes in. Things get tense but Nikita slowly goes back to his seat. Hogan: You got it all wrong Nikita! I never left you hanging brother. When you were double powerbombed, I was in Alaska. When you reached for that tag in our match, I was on the outside recovering. You could have easily come to me man to man about all this, but instead you listened to that fool and instigator Debeers. You took the coward's way out brother and here we are. I hope you and that slime Debeers are happy. But be careful what you wish for. The power of Hulkamania and America is beyond your comprehension. Nikita, you were once somebody who stood tall and now it's a shame that you've become a puppet to Debeers. So whatcha.... Nikita tackles Hogan! Security rush the scene as Hogan and Nikita roll around punching each other. Security separates them. Hogan breaks free and tackles Nikita. As Security breaks them up, Debeers hits Hogan's back with a chair! Hogan staggers forward as Nikita breaks free from Security and nails Hogan with the Russian Sickle! Hogan falls back and knocks over the podium! Verne is yelling and threatening Nikita as Debeers escorts Nikita away while everybody attends to Hogan. The place is in shambles
  13. Welcome back! It's so fun seeing Bert and Ronnie's bantering back in our game. This is a place Todd Morton can make an impression. I hope Renesto goes full on Assassin. WHOA! Who was that lady and what was she saying? The Cubans will bring the heat here. I'm glad you and your great take on a true territory is back.
  14. YES! Thanksgiving and Starrcade Giving the fans a 20 minute action packed JR. Title match to kick things off is the way to go. Whatley brings in the Bees and now we have new 6 man champs. Boogie Woogie Man takes out Uncle Ivan then gives Jones the beating if his life, capping off a classic feud. No surprise that Badd Co. and the Nightmares put on a show stealing match. Cool seeing Badd Co win the belts. Horrible night for Jones. Rich and Kamala give us an old school southern brawl. Manny's recent aggression pays off as he takes the title from the Golden Warrior. I know these two gave the fans their money's worth. WOW! The Andersons are all on the same page and help Tully and Arn upset the Road Warriors. Flair gets the best of Harley in a last showdown. Good sportsmanship by Flair. That's respect. What a way to cap the show and the NWA with Landel and Prichard going all the way. The icing on the cake was the stare down between the Nature Boys. Hey, you did a fantastic job with the NWA. Can't wait to see what you do with the WWF.
  15. Johnny gets a bit of satisfaction Price gets one over on Cannonball but gets chased out of the building hahaha Kendall takes down the bodyguard This Gorgeous Jimmy is looking to fill Garvin's shoes. Dory advances and shows real sportsmanship Strange circumstances allow Dory a bye Humperdink gets a win for Kabuki Graham's backslide holds Victory down Starr lives up to his moniker Kendall is looking good as he spoils Precious's night Graham advances but will he compete? Kendall's tearing it up! The mist puts Dory into the finals Rockers even things up with the New Breed AWWWWW got me again! Dory really had me fooled. Humperdink now has the Florida title in his house. Exciting night in Florida!
  16. DAMN! STARRCADE is loaded!!!!!
  17. Hey Kev, sorry for falling behind on some transactions that were made. Kokina - WWF Larry Cameron - PCW Brutus Beefcake - AWA Soultaker (Charles Wright) - AWA Also, Corporal Kirchner was dropped from the AWA and is now in free agency.
  18. Cannonball is officially inside Price's head. I'm enjoying this fun feud. Wow, Mando gets very disrespectful tonight as things with Graham goes to another level. New Breed eke one out over the Rockers. Hopefully we get more matches between these exciting teams. Dory looking to prove he's got another title run in him. Oh man, you got me!!!!! Gorgeous Jimmy POWERS hahahahaha. This is great! I always thought Powers had the look and talent to be a star and now he's been given a huge opportunity to do that. Good job, very creative. And just like that the Rich's reign is over. I've always liked the team of Tatum and Victory and they've had a lot of success in our game. Congrats on another title reign.
  19. The Rockers withstand a lot of punishment to get the win. Scotty always did have some amazing finishes Martel and Owen tear the house down. Martel pulls it out in a thriller Dusty still has the magic A wild end to the show. I cant wait to see these teams go at it again at SS
  20. San Diego! It all comes down to this! Eddie's aggressiveness pays off as he kicks off the supercard with a win. 1990 could be the year of the Suicide Blondes and their new attitude. I have to say, the way the Southern Boys left had me cracking up. After one hell of a run, Pillman says goodbye. A star was born. Phoenix Rising's fire will continue into the next year. What an awesome visual as Azul captures the LHW title. No doubt about it, Azul will continue to elevate this division into the 90s. Damn! The 6 man match was filled with chaotic chaos! I'm sure Dutch will be the one reviewing the tape. After a hard hitting and intense feud, Blackman finally ends things with Chono, but Chono's definitely made a name for himself as well. Malenko gets ruthless to win the title. With this edge, it's going to be almost impossible to get the title off him. Good grief! Awesome sends Hall packing with a stamp! This man is one dominating force. Props to Hall for an impressive PCW run. Hart plays it smart but it took everything he had to defeat Austin. Looking forward to Austin's future after this incredible outing. What a way to end night one. Night 2, here we go! One by one they went down, with only Snow surviving. After an intense but respectful feud, Severn finally ends his business with Tenryu. Camp Cornette goes down and Corny might have a huge problem on his hands with Busick. The emergence of Cactus Jack has been fun to watch. I mean he even gets respect from Iron and Steel before leaving the territory. Buddy comes up short after a bad weekend for the Playboy Club. I wonder what the 90s will bring??? Lee does the turn as the Terror finish off Rhodes. I'm sure Dibiase liked what he saw. Things will be interesting. After one of the best chases in wrestling, the Dreamboats finally take down the Express to win the gold. What a great moment. I also have to say, the Midnights had the most dominating year I've seen in this game. Gordy brought his A game, but Steamboat's plan worked to perfection as he ends the 2 day event on a high note. Great show brother! This capped off an incredible year and sets the tone for 1990.
  21. The King vs. Mr. Perfect! What a way to kick off the USWA! Damn! 6-Man, first blood match! WrestleWar is going to be epic! Embry gets some serious payback on Rogers, thanks to Miss Tennessee. Dirty Dutch might be making a big mistake messing with the Fab One. Looking forward to seeing how Marlin handles DWB LOL Gilbert gets the cheap win, but Lawler is hot on his tail. Big stipulation for next week's match. It wouldn't be a Memphis ending without some good chaos. Can't wait to see what goes down at Wrestlewar!
  22. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-22-89 Footage from No Holds Barred: The Movie/The Match is shown. We see Col. Debeers hold Hulk Hogan as Nikita Koloff wraps a chain around his arm and puts Hogan down with the Russian Sickle. The end of the footage sees Debeers and Koloff shake hands over a bloody and lifeless Hogan. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. I'm still in shock over what we just saw. Absolutely stunned. I can tell you that the world champ Hulk Hogan will be here tonight to respond. However, right now I'm looking for answers. Joining me now is Nikita Koloff and Col Debeers. Thundering boos as Debeers strolls out twirling his mustache while Nikita comes out with his chain wrapped around his neck as he stares daggers into the camera and at the fans. Nelson: I am completely appalled at what went down in St. Paul. Col. Debeers, we've seen you out here for weeks scouting Nikita Koloff. Was this an evil plan all along? I just can't believe this! Debeers: Believe it Nelson because Nikita Koloff has seen the truth. I simply enlightened Nikita to something he's really known deep down inside all along. His eyes were just closed but now the Russian Nightmare is wide awake! You people and this weak country have held Nikita back for way too long! The American Wrestling Association (Laughs) American says it all. For the past year, America has tried to get rid of Nikita but look at him now. Stronger and more alert than ever! Nelson: Why Nikita? Please, don't listen to this man! Nikita: (raises his arm at Nelson) Shut up! Col Debeers is right! One year ago I lost the AWA world title because of Sgt. Slaughter. A true American robbed me of my title! Nikita go to war with Slaughter and Nikita win! Then I find out that another patriot Col Kirchner was behind it. He hires the poisonous assassin Jake the Snake to put me out of commission. Nikita win that war and rids the evil from the AWA. Americans try to hurt and end my career but they all failed! After all that, did the AWA ever give Nikita a rematch for the world title? NO! So, Nikita come to the Happening and save Hulk Hogan from a beating at the hands of Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami. I agree to team with Hogan. That's when Col. Debeers come in and start to talk to Nikita. I did not listen. Then Jumbo and Tatsumi attack Nikita and double powerbomb me! Where was Hogan? Did he have my back? NO! But Nikita still not listen to Debeers. At the match, I went to tag Hogan but Hogan not there! Later that selfish Hogan tag himself in and take all the glory of winning. That was it! I put Hogan down with Russian Sickle and then with this chain! He deserved it! Now Nikita will defeat the biggest American patriot in the world! Hulk Hogan, I challenge you to a match at SuperClash for the AWA world title! You can't run or hide! Nikita is going to take your head off with the Russian Sickle and bring the title back home! Where it belongs! Debeers: Hulk Hogan, this is not a dream but SuperClash will be a Russian Nightmare for you! Nikita sticks out his tongue and does a trap pose as Nelson looks on in shock. Commercial Break Leo Burke vs. Trent Watkins Burke wins the match with a sleeper. Burke cuts a promo about next week's big International title match with Terry Taylor. Burke says he's ready to knock the arrogance out of Taylor and win the International title. Commercial Break Iceman Parsons vs. Chicky Starr This is the 4th match in the series and Chicky's hoping to end the All-Stars losing streak as he attacks Parsons at the bell and is relentless. Chicky slams Parsons down and angrily stomps away. Chicky rakes his boot across Parsons face and drops a knee 1..2..Kick Out. Chicky swings Parsons to the ropes but misses a clothesline, Parsons swings back and dropkicks Chicky down. Parsons hammers away on Chicky and suplexes him back 1..2..Kick Out. Commercial Break Justified vs. Marvin Jones and Carl Kellerman Oliver puts Jones down with a forearm blast from the middle ropes. Oliver tags in Young, who finishes things off with a tornado DDT! Justified cuts a promo regarding the SuperClash tag team battle royal for the National Tag Titles. They say they're ready for all the teams and want the titles bad! Commercial Break 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer vs. Ray Glader Sawyer demolishes his opponent and finishes things off with the powerslam! Sawyer goes crazy and starts biting Glader's head until he starts bleeding. Sawyer spits out the blood as officials and medics hit the ring. Commercial Break SuperClash 4 Control Center Ken Resnick is standing in front of a SuperClash banner. Resnick: SuperClash 4 will no doubt be the greatest night in AWA history. More matches have been signed. After going to two draws, Carlos Colon and Tony St. Clair have been signed to a no time limit match at SuperClash. In a battle of strongmen, Ken Patera will face Steve Disalvo. Also announced, Jumbo Tsuruta will go one on one with Big Jim Morris. And listen to this, Gerry Morrow has announced that Larry Zbyszko will face David Sammartino inside the steel cage! My goodness! It all happens on Jan.3rd at the McNichols Arena in Denver Colorado. Be there! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, coming out now is the sensation from Mexico, Konnan. Konnan comes out WHAM! He's attacked from behind by Blackblood and the Soultaker! Akbar is out there calling the shots. They start pounding down on Konnan. The fans cheer as El Canek storms out! Canek mows down Akbar! All 4 men start brawling around the ring! Things get wild as a swarm of prelim wrestlers and security come out and try to break it up. Commercial Break Winner gets an AWA TV Title shot next week Mark Youngblood vs. Derrick Dukes w/The Vin Man Due to the current rivalry between the tag teams, the Ref bans Scott Putski and Chris Youngblood from ringside. Mark controls the opening minutes with chops, arm drags, hip tosses and slams. Dukes comes back with the power and speed. Dukes hits a belly to back suplex 1.2..Kick Out. While all this is happening, Dukes reaches in his tights and pulls out a foreign object. As Mark gets back in the ring, Dukes nails him with the foreign object and quicky cradles him 1..2..3! BOOOOOOO! Commercial Break The Union Jacks w/Les Thornton vs. Floyd Green and Stu Jersky Union Jacks are in sync and win the match when Dave clips Green's knees from behind as Smith puts him down with a running clothesline. Thornton cuts a promo on SuperClash and says St. Clair will finally show Colon who the superior wrestler is. He also scoffs at Justified's earlier comments and says the Union Jacks will be gunning for them in the tag team battle royal and then the National titles will be in the Parliament! Commercial Break Tommy Jammer vs. Todd Rooney Jammer's pretty full of himself and eventually wins the match with the California Splash! Nelson: Tommy, I understand you haven't been signed for a match at SuperClash yet? Jammer: Dude, are you surprised? I mean, I'm not. I issued an open challenge for SuperClash and of course no one's accepted. I guess they can't handle the California heat I bring. I thought the AWA was where the competition was at. I guess I was totally wrong. Talk about a bummer. This place is a real vibe killer. I'm outta here man! Commercial Break Brutus Beefcake vs. 'Blockbuster' Brian Adias The bell rings, but Adias is refusing to take off his sunglasses. It looks like he's feeling the pressure of a clean sweep. He keeps yelling at the Ref and the fans. He turns around and Beefcake nails him with a running high knee 1..2..3!!!! Mega Pop! The All-Stars go 0-5 as Beefcake completes the series sweep. Beefcake gives the fans a strut as Adias is laid out with his sunglasses crookedly on his face. Commercial Break Nelson: Please welcome out the AWA world champion, Hulk Hogan! The fans erupt. Hogan comes out with his head bandaged. His look is solemn as he holds the world title on his shoulder. Nelson: Hulk, I know you're in a state of shock like we all are. I have no idea what must be going through your head right now. You heard what Nikita Koloff and Col Debeers had to say. Hogan: (pauses and puts his hand on his bandaged head) This past week all I've thought about was you, Nikita Koloff. Every single time I looked in the mirror, I thought why Nikita, why. If you wanted a title shot, all you had to do was ask. But no! Instead you listened to that coward and psychotic Col Debeers. You've been brainwashed Nikita. What you did to me was lower than low brother. You didn't have the guts to confront me like a man. You not only did this to me, but you did it to all my Hulkamaniacs. Well, I'll make this real easy for you and that dirtbag Debeers. You want a world title match at SuperClash? (Hogan pauses and looks at the fans, then back at the camera) YOU GOT IT!!!!!!
  23. The first round match ups show how competitive the tag team division already is in PWF. Fan favorites, the Rich's advance to the finals as the heels Tatum and Victory get lucky with a bye. Cannonball gets his revenge but gets triple teamed. Luckily the Richs saved the day, setting up a heated finale for the straps. "The Opportunist" what a great moniker for Mando. Rich's win the titles and send the fans home happy. The Rich's have always been a fun part of our world, so it's cool seeing them holding gold.
  24. The road to Starrcade continues. Heading into Starrcade, Budro definitely has the numbers advantage. Prichard might need some back up to counter the Horsemen. Rich is one brave man requesting a match with Kamala. I'm sure Jones will be sweating during the Russian chain match. Looking forward to seeing who teams up with Whatley. Badd Co. get their shot at the Nightmares. Starrcade is stacked!!!
