NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling August 1986
Cool seeing Garvin open the show. Orndorff and Gantner in a match for a shot against Garvin, really shows the importance of the title. Doug Sommers has been racking up some impressive wins. RPM Davis beats Nightmare Davis in a fun match up. Embry gets a big win over MS-1. Very interested in Gino's explanation. The Hart vs. Hart feud is starting to boil. Orndorff beats Gantner in a hard fought match. Orndorff versus Garvin will be a big draw.

Yea, I would say draft asap because like Edger said, the National Tag Team champions are there and there's a ton of great talent available. With the road to Starrcade approaching, this would give everybody time to reshuffle and plan.

ECW 1993
Another wild ECW show! Opens with a bang as Luger clocks Sandman with the belt allowing the Highway Men to get a title shot. Lot of great storylines intertwining in that match. Payne and Shaw is going to be explosive. WOW! What a turn by Smothers! Smothers and Brian X could be a dangerous duo. Looking forward to the clash of titans match between Nord and Sid. Mero cuts a great heel promo. Eaton retains again! I thought Levy was going to win it but once again Azrael gets the best of him.

NWA World Wrestling Council August 1986
Always fun opening a show with a hot 6 man tag. Must of felt good for Santana, nailing Owen with that brass knuckles shot. Cool seeing members of different tag teams, teaming up as they take the Mercenarios to a DCO. Chicky must of been one heck of a baseball player as he's pretty good with a bat. That wont sit well with Ayala. Good change of pace match between Castillo and Medico. Clean match and good sportsmanship. Great main event that would of had the crowd rocking. I liked seeing Leduc get the fall.

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling Aug. 86
MACW @ WTBS Studios TV Aired 8-23-86 Shaky camera footage is shown from the Nashville State Fairgrounds parking lot. Buzz Sawyer is brutally assaulting Tommy Rich. Schiavone: Hello again everybody and welcome to another edition of Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling. Well David, we have a new Television champion and we will hear from the new champ himself, Tony St. Clair along with JJ Dillon later in the show. Crockett: Tony, I was in Nashville that night and was shocked at the condition of Tommy Rich when he showed up to the ring. Well, now we all know who was responsible for that attack. Right now we have comments from Tommy Rich as he's at home recuperating. Rich is bandaged up, sitting on a recliner chair. Rich: I should of known Buzz Sawyer would stoop that low. Doesn't surprise me one bit! Right now, forget about regaining the TV title, forget about wrestling, forget about my injuries. The only thing on my mind is getting my hands on you Buzz Sawyer! I'm asking, no I'm pleading with the Crockett's to lift your suspension! Only a matter of time until we hook it up Buzz. You want to fight? Brother, so do I! Crockett: A very heated up Tommy Rich and I cant blame him. After listening to Tommy and talking to my brother Jim. Jim has decided to lift Buzz Sawyer's suspension. Buzz will be in action next week. However, when Tommy Rich returns, he will get his match with Buzz Sawyer. Schiavone: Wow! Big news indeed. That is going to be a war. Well fans, two big featured bouts tonight. The Great Gama continues his rivalry with Brad Rheingans, as they meet tonight. Another heated match we'll see is The Southern Boys taking on The Southern Ramblers. Also in action will Polynesian Power, The Onyx Brickhouse, Renegade Warriors, Don Kernodle, Mark Lewin, The Assassins and Flame in 6 man action and the Iron Sheik will be in singles competition. Crockett: We will also be hearing from US Champ Ted Dibiase along with US Tag Champs, The Awesome Twosome. Mid Atlantic Champ Paul Orndorff will have comments. The Honkytonk Man will be in the studio today. Tony, as you know the NWA World Champion, Kerry Von Erich will be defending his title in Charlotte this Saturday Night. He will be... The fans boo as Rock Riddle leads National Champ, Arthur W. Crews out. Both men are wearing suits and sunglasses. Crews gives his belt and quick polish, smiles, then holds it up to the camera. Riddle: Davey, Davey, Davey Baby, boy did I miss you! You got my post card from Puerto Rico, right? Crockett: (Unenthusiastic) Yes, I got it. Riddle: Good deal. Puerto Rico was great. I know you've met Chicky Starr. You should really consider bringing him in as part of your announce team. You guys could use a little flash. (Laughs and pats Crockett on the back) I kid, Davey Baby, I kid. Now! The big, big, big news. When the Agency talks people listen. This Saturday night in Charlotte, my main gem here, the one and only true Blonde Bomber, Arthur W. Crews gets a well deserved shot at the NWA World Title! That's right! The NWA World Title is coming to the Agency. The NWA needs a true A Listing star to represent it's organization, and who fits that billing better than the one and only Blonde bomber, Arthur W, Crews? Crews: (Takes off his sunglasses) Kerry Von Erich, you're reign comes to an abrupt end this Saturday. You don't have the appeal, presence, ability and flat out charisma to be champion (puts back on his sunglasses and smiles)...but I do. Riddle: That's my guy! Davey Baby, good to be back and when I'm representing the NWA World Champ, I wont forget about you baby. Crockett: I...I (shakes his head) Let's go to the ring. Polynesian Power vs. Tim Straw and Vic DeMarco Tui swings Straw to the ropes and back drops him. Straw rolls over and tags in DeMarco, who charges but gets hip tossed and drop kicked by Tui. Tui tags in Sakalia. Sakalia body slams DeMarco, swings off the ropes and drops a jumping elbow drop. Sakalia tags Tui (He climbs to the top rope), Sakalia hoists DeMarco up and Samoan Drops him back, Tui fly's of the top rope with an elbow drop and gets the pin! The crowd cheers as Tui and Sakalia bump fists and hug. Polynesian Power cut a promo and say they have unfinished business with the Assassins. Commercial Break Highlights from Nashville are shown of Rip Oliver defeating Blackjack Mulligan in the cage followed by Oliver destroying Paul Jones for 5 min. Rip Oliver vs. Lou Simms Oliver swings Simms to the ropes and puts him down with a shoulder block. Oliver picks up Simms and body slams him. Oliver gets up on the 2nd turnbuckle. Simms staggers up. Oliver lunges forward and hits the flying clothesline for the pin! The crowd cheers as Oliver pumps his fists to them, then heads to the podium. Schiavone: Well, Rip, you must be feeling pretty vindicated. Oliver: I really do. You know, I made a promise to Jimmy Valiant and now I can hold my head up high. Now that my business with Paul Jones is finally over, I'm ready to move on. It's time for Rip Oliver to go after some gold! Schiavone: Ok, Rip Oliver with some new goals in mind. Fans, back to the ring. Assassins and The Flame w/The Assassin vs. Roger Murphy, Larry O'Meara and Todd Rooney Flame rams Murphy's head several times on the turnbuckle then tags in Kazuo. Kazuo unleashes several kicks on Murphy then tags in Cobra. Cobra hip tosses Murphy across the ring and Murphy is quick to tag in Rooney. Cobra takes him down quick with a knee strike then follows with a vertical suplex and tags in Flame. Flame gets on the top rope and hits a flying elbow drop. Flame runs over and sends Larry O'Meara off the apron with a forearm smash. Murphy tries to come in but Kazuo runs in and a kick to the face, sends him through the ropes. Flame tags in Cobra. Kazuo nails Rooney with a roundhouse kick, sending him into a German suplex pin by Cobra! The fans boo as The Assassin holds his men's arms up in victory. They head to the podium. Assassin: First off, Polynesian Power comes out here and talks about unfinished business with my Assassins. Well, they're right because there is unfinished business and we plan on finishing it and them once and for all. Speaking of unfinished business, The Flame and I have unfinished business with that disrespectful Punk, DJ Peterson. If he's stupid enough to come back, well The Flame here is going to make sure he regrets the day he went after my mask. You think you're hurting now Punk? The pain hasn't even begun! Commercial Break Iron Sheik vs. Carl Hillman Sheik puts his boot on the top turnbuckle and rams Hillman's head on it. Sheik executes a gut wrench suplex then follows with a body slam. Sheik kicks Hillman over and stomps on the back. Sheik yells at the fans then applies the Camel Clutch! Hillman submits and the Ref signals for the bell. Sheik gets booed as he heads to the podium. Crockett: Impressive showing for the Iron Sheik. It looks like you and Bull Gantner have some major issues. Sheik: Dat Bull Gantner (Spits on the ground) is nothing but a typical stupid American! He put my partner Alexis Smirnoff out of action and now he must pay to da Iron Sheik! Alexis did not deserve that, he's a good man. Dis Bull Gantner thinks he's some sort of powerful man. Da Iron Sheik is a powerful man! You seen me swing my clubs, no American can do that. I will overpower dat Bull Gantner and make him submit to da Camel Clutch! Crockett: Threatening words from the Iron Sheik. Fans, back to the ring. Renegade Warriors vs. Bill Richards and Clyde Putnam Warriors swing Richards to the ropes and put him down with a double chop. Mark body slams Richards and tags in Chris. Chris comes off the 2nd turnbuckle with a knee drop. Chris picks up Richards, swings him to the turnbuckles and follows with a boot to the face. Chris tags in Mark. Chris body slams Richards and Mark hits the Sling Shot Splash for the pin! The crowd cheers as The Warriors hug. Warriors cut a promo on The Fabulous Blondes and say anytime they want to go at it again, the Renegade Warriors are always up for it! Commercial Break The Onyx Brickhouse vs. Dave Penson Brickhouse swings Penson to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash. Brickhouse follows with a couple elbow drops, swings off the ropes and hits a jumping elbow drop. Brickhouse picks up Penson and executes a Russian Legsweep for the pin! Brickhouse is yelling at the booing fans. The fans erupt as Sweet Brown Sugar runs out and goes to the top turnbuckle. Brickhouse turns around and Sugar nails him with a Missile dropkick! The fans go crazy. Brickhouse starts punching away until officials run out to get him off him. Sugar goes to the podium. Sugar: Last week, Brickhouse came out here and made all sorts of accusations about me and my character. I'm here to say it's all false! Yea, Norvell Austin had some issues but I tried to help him and in the end, it was his choice to leave Mid Atlantic. Did Brickhouse ever think to just ask me about it? No! He attacks me. Well let me tell you something Brickhouse, after I'm through with you, you're going to be one whipped, whipped man! Schiavone: A very passionate and upset Sweet Brown Sugar. Ok fans, I want to show you footage from some of the matches that went down in Raleigh last week. Highlights are shown of the Dibiase/Snuka match, Awesome Twosome/Cooley, Johnson match and the Bad News Brown/Stan Hansen match. Schiavone: A lot of news regarding those matches and individuals. Next week, we will have an announcement regarding Bad News Brown and what's next for him. As officials watched the tapes and questionable tactics used by Dibiase and the Awesome Twosome to retain their titles, I received word earlier this week that this Saturday in Charlotte there will be a 6 man tag match as Ted Dibiase and The Awesome Twosome will take on Jimmy Snuka, Rocky Johnson and Wendell Cooley. If Snuka, Johnson and Cooley win that match then Snuka will get another US title match with Dibiase and Johnson and Cooley will get a US tag title match with the Awesome Twosome. A lot riding on that match. Let's take you to pre recorded comments from Ted Dibiase and The Awesome Twosome. Dibiase, Rude and Fernandez are standing in front of a private jet. Dibiase: Well, I see who the Crockett favorites are in Mid Atlantic. I mean, how many times do I have to beat that savage Snuka? I'm disgusted that I even have to lock up with a heathen like him. How many times do the Awesome Twosome have to beat Johnson and Cooley? Face it Johnson and Cooley, the Awesome Twosome are the best team money can buy. Fernandez: You said it Daddy! No worries, because those chumps are going down in Charlotte, that's a painful fact. Rude: That's right! We've already proven we're the better team and in Charlotte, we're going to prove we're the better men. Dibiase: (Laughs) Life is so good when an investment really pays off. Snuka! Charlotte is the last time we meet. You can take that to the bank! (Ends with a long laugh) Commercial Break Don 'The Pride of' Kernodle vs. Gary Williams The fans boo as Kernodle waves his Pride of Kernodle flag (with his face on it) around. Kernodle snap mares Williams over and follows with a forearm drop to the back of the head. Kernodle picks Williams up and vertical suplexes him back. Kernodle stomps on Williams neck, picks him up and executes the reverse neckbreaker for the pin! Kernodle waves his flag to the booing fans, then heads to the podium. Crockett: Well Don, sorry to hear about you losing the Canadian International title. Kernodle: David Crockett, I accomplished so much more than an extremely successful title reign. I single handedly brought together two countries. I did that! This Pride of Kernodle flag represents the history I made. Corporal Kirchner sure felt the power of this flag (Laughs) in Nashville. I'm warning you Kirchner, stop waving your flag around! Your flag only represents one country while mine represents so much more. Bottom line Kirchner, you're inferior to me. Kernodle waves his flag again then exits to boos. Crockett: I think Don Kernodle might be a little delusional. Well fans, we announced at the top of the program, we have a new TV champion. Joining me now is JJ Dillon and the TV champ, Tony St. Clair. JJ: David, I would like to be addressed as James J. Dillon from now on. St. Clair: Very dignified, if you ask me. James J. Dillon promised me opportunity and I seized that opportunity and walked away with the Television Title. I'm quite confident my wrestling ability is superior to that of any man in Mid Atlantic. So if anybody wants a shot at this title and a wrestling lesson free of charge, then step into the ring with me. JJ: Tony St. Clair is a true fighting champion and well...he's simply the best. Commercial Break Highlights are shown of NWA World Champ Kerry Von Erich in action Schiavone: Yes, the NWA champion Kerry Von Erich comes to Charlotte this Saturday to defend his title against National Champ Arthur W, Crews. Speaking of the National Title, let's take a look at footage from Raleigh. Footage is shown of Brad Rheingans interfering and costing The Great Gama his match with National Champ Arthur W. Crews Schiavone: Gama insisted he face Rheingans here, today. So let's get to that now. The Great Gama vs. 'Professor' Brad Rheingans Before the bell rings, Gama hits the ring and unloads on Rheingans. Gama swings him to the ropes and back drops him. Rheingans rolls out of the ring and tries to leave. Gama catches him and hurls him back in the ring. The Ref is trying to get control to start the match but Gama isn't listening. Gama body slams Rheingans, follows with a backbreaker then applies the Boston Crab! The Ref is trying to get Gama to release it but Gama applies even more pressure. Rheingans is screaming in pain as they go to commercial. Crockett: That situation between Gama and Brad Rheingans has gotten really out of control. I don't think they can be in the same building anymore. Fans, I want to show you footage from Nashville. Footage is shown of Honkytonk Man smashing a guitar over the head of Austin Idol. Crockett: Making his arrival in Mid Atlantic, the Honkytonk Man. The fans boo as Honkytonk comes out with his guitar and does a little dance. Crockett: Ok, just what was the meaning of hitting Austin Idol over the head with a guitar? HTM: Well, it's simple Mr. Crockett. My good buddy Rob Fuller called me up and said Honkytonk, we got some imposter running around here saying he's the hottest thing that comes out of Las Vegas. Rob told me this imposter is causing a lot of trouble for him. Let me tell you something Austin Idol, there's only one man who can shake rattle and roll around Las Vegas and that's the Honkytonk Man. Idol, you show your face around here again and I've got another guitar with your name on it. Commercial Break Schiavone: Fans, the rivalry between Tiger Jeet Singh and Mid Atlantic Champ Paul Orndorff escalated in Nashville. Let's take a look. Then we'll have pre recorded comments from Orndorff. Footage is shown of the Orndorff/Missing Link-Singh/Lewin match. Singh pins Link then Singh and Lewin double team Orndorff and Singh busts Orndorff open on the steel post then executes the Argentine Back Rack Drop on Orndorff. Orndorff: (Bandage on forehead) Singh! This is far from over! (Rips bandage off forehead) This weekend in Ocola, Florida, it's you and me, one on one. And if you bring that sword to the ring, I'm going to tear it out of your hands and beat you like you've never been beaten before! Schiavone: A very determined Paul Orndorff. Fans, let's go to the ring for another featured bout. I wonder what's on the minds of the Southern Ramblers without Paul Jones in their corner. The Southern Boys vs. The Southern Ramblers The bell rings as both teams start brawling. Southern Boys swing the Ramblers to the ropes and drop kick them. Rose rolls out of the ring. Southern Boys swing Rich to the ropes, hit a double back elbow to the gut, then follow with a double axe handle to the back. The Ref gets control. Smothers puts Rich down with a savate kick then follows with a knee drop and tags in Armstrong. They swing Rose to the ropes and put him down with a double shoulder block. Armstrong covers but Rich breaks it with a knee drop. Smothers runs in but the Ref guides him back. Rich stomps away on Armstrong. Rose eventually crawls over and makes the tag. Boos come from the crowd as Rob Fuller makes his way out and just circles the ring. Rich swings Armstrong to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Armstrong leapfrogs over, swings back and drop kicks Rich down. Armstrong tags in Smothers. Smothers hammers away on Rich and body slams him. Rose runs in and gets scoop slammed by Smothers. Smothers suplexes Rich and covers but Rose breaks it with a stomp. Armstrong runs in and fights Rose to the corner. Rich rolls under the ropes and to the edge of the apron. Smothers runs over and picks him up by his hair. The Ref is in the corner trying to break up Armstrong and Rose. Smothers picks up Rich to suplex him back in the ring but Rob Fuller reaches in and trips Smothers. Rich falls on Smothers. The Ref sees this and runs over. Fuller holds Smother's foot. The Ref counts 1..2..3! Armstrong punches Rose out of the ring. Fuller helps Rich out. Armstrong tends to Smothers as The Ramblers walk out with Fuller. Commercial Break Crockett: Not sure what's going on between Rob Fuller and the Southern Ramblers but... The Southern Boys storm the podium. Armstrong: Ramblers! Fuller! You're pretty sly but brothers we're coming back at you full force! Smothers: Bet on that! Crockett: I think the Ramblers and Rob Fuller have a fight coming. Fans, back to the ring for our final match. 'Maniac' Mark Lewin vs. Ken Jenkins Lewin hurls Jenkins out of the ring and follows. Lewin body slams Jenkins on the concrete then rolls him back in the ring. Lewin just stomps away on Jenkions then chokes him with his boot. Lewin continues to stomp away. He picks up Jenkins, swings him to the ropes and clamps on the sleeper! The Ref quickly signals for the bell. Lewin swings Jenkins around like a ragdoll. Lewin throws Jenkins down, gives the ref a demonic look, picks up Jenkins and reapplies the sleeper! The Ref is begging Lewin to let him go but Lewin just keeps swinging Jenkins around. The fans roar as Missing Link hits the ring and hammers away on Lewin! Link swings Lewin to the ropes and hits a diving headbutt to the mid section. Link grabs the back of his head and drops several headbutts on Lewin. Schiavone: Chaos in the ring! Fans, we'll be right back! Commercial Break Schiavone: Missing Link really took then fight to Mark Lewin. Those two will collide in Ocola Florida this weekend, you wont want to miss that. Ok, fans with me right now, Jimmy Snuka, Rocky Johnson and Wendell Cooley. Huge stakes in your big 6 man tag this Saturday in Charlotte. Johnson: The higher the stakes the better my partner and I thrive. We're going to win this match in Charlotte and then we're bringing our titles home. Cooley: Rude, Fernandez, Dibiase, get ready because you're getting beat Saturday night and your title reigns are coming to an end. Snuka: Dibiase! You and I have more to do. I have partners I can rely on and after Saturday night, we're all walking away with what we want. Right now, I want nothing more than to get my hands on you Dibiase and take that US title away from you! Schiavone: Ok fans, there you have it. We'll see you next week.

NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling August 1986
Welcome back Lutte! Gotta love the Andre/Orndorff team, what a way to open the show. Charland gets a good win over Smothers. Somers gets a pretty big win over MS-1. Savoldi continues to do well here. OOOOOOHHHH, I love that SST/Medicos match up. Strong title defense for SST. Borne with a HUGE win over Martel. Borne has been super hot while Martel has been in a slump. I know Martel will bounce back. Solid main event as Jimmy retains over Adias. No interference from Sunny but I know he's in the shadows.

AWA results for July-August 1986
Can Am's get the win tonight over the Youngbloods. Very evenly matched feud going. Man, the Guerreros have been on a roll, this time defeating the always tough Bullies. Orton and Sabu-what a combo but Sabu falls to the DDT. This might be Hall's biggest win to date, defeating the Playboy. Dundee scores a big win tonight over Fit. Race and Adams is a great technical match but Race uses a questionable tactic to set up his victory. Fun contrast of styles match as Burke one ups Scorpio. Badd Co. comes back with a vengeance as they end up in a crazy brawl with the Sheepherders. Zenk gets his first title defense over Chavo. I'm sure that delivered a lot of high flying action. Poor Douglas, looks like Saito took him to school. Steamboat retains again, this time over Debeers. Such a variety of challengers for Steamboat. Fun card with a lot of different kinds of matches.

NWA World Wrestling Council August 1986
Back to back cards...Nice! 8-22- Hot brawling tag to open the show. Santana will a nice win over Boyd. Looks like Santana made some new friends with the Battens. Owen retains in a hard fought bout with Castillo. Colon continues to get the best of Starr Corporation in tag matches. Ayala racks up another win. Fun main event as the bat really came into play. 8-23- Boyd rebounds with a win tonight but doesn't get to continue his assault. Action packed 6 man tag. I can just imagine how many bandages are kept in the locker rooms. The Owen/Santana feud keeps adding fuel to the fire. Another wild brawling tag match but what would you expect with those 2 feuds going on. I don't know if even a cage can contain Jaggers and Dutch. Every since that taped series with Ron Starr, Ayala has been unbeatable. With his upcoming title bout with Bigelow, now is the perfect time to be on a hot streak. Great 6 man main event as Colon once again stands tall. This has got to be infuriating for Chicky.

All good and that's completely understandable. Looks like things are heading in the right direction.

AWA results for July-August 1986
Burke looked good in the opener. Can Am win a battle with the Youngbloods. The craziness involved in the Sullivan/Kabuki match would of been fun to watch. Death Sentence gets a strong win. I'm a big fan of Death Sentence and their AWA run. Adams and Taylor is a great hard hitting technical bout, Adams earned that one. Dundee puts up a fight but there's no coming back from the DDT. Another great British Steel/Black Irish battle. Steel keeps the titles. The main event looked like a strong encounter. I always loved Orton's superplex.

That trade was with me and I announced it, so we're good to go Miz.

AWA results for July-August 1986
Guerreros continue their winning ways over Larry Z and Saito. Fun 8 man tag, Blackwell really did put an end to that. Chavo wasn't as successful as his brothers tonight but no shame in losing to Bock. Wow! Great seeing Sabu and Cactus rekindling a rivalry. Very impressive moment for Hall as he gets the fall on Rose. I knew it was only a matter of time before Zenk's hot streak got him some gold. Tanaka fought through injury and interference but his epic title reign comes to an end. That really was a great reign. I would of bought a ticket just for that tag title bout. Good teamwork by Piper and Orton. Glad we got a Steamboat/TNT rematch. Those were 2 fun matches. Steamboat with another solid title defense.

Of course my highlight was the Sports Shop. The charismatic visual of Chicky baby and Riddle is so awesome. Chicky is going to have to pay a visit to WTBS. Speaking of Chicky, if the Starrs can pull off a couple wins then he gets a pretty big opportunity at the LHW Title. I like how you incorporate your house shows on TV. I think the Sept 20th card will need close circuit as it's shaping up to be one historic event. Colon and Abby is going to be a war! Dutch and Jaggers is right up there. I wonder who's next for TNT? Good promo from Ayala, his match with Bigelow intrigues me. Battens, Caribbean Express and Santana get good TV wins. Fun tag team main event as Tamba scores the fall and really makes Chicky's day. Tamba and Leduc is another gem feud going.

I announced most of the deal I had with UWF but here's the rest. Ivan Koloff and Ole Anderson were set to come to Mid Atlantic on Oct. 1st. I currently have Tommy Rich on loan and he was set to go back to UWF on Jan. 1st. Also, if Miz takes over UWF, he now has King Kong Bundy and Terry Taylor officially on that roster.

ECW 1993
Wow! That was one action packed show! Good start with the Payne interview and exchange with Madusa and Shaw. Shaw and Payne are heading for an explosive showdown. Levy's investment in Frazier is sure paying off. Lot's of chaos as Azrael, Brian X and Smothers get involved. Levy gets the title shot. AHS take advantage of Larry Z being gone as they do a number on Backlund. Sid versus Nord...YES! Wild main event. Morton and Eaton suffer the loss and suffer horrible beatings. Mero really takes it to Morton but I'm sure will pay big time for messing with his mullet. I wonder what kind of condition Eaton will be in next week for his title defense against Levy?? Poor Barry Horowitz, looks like he felt the wrath of an angry Shaw. I think we're in for another wild ride next week.

NWA World Wrestling Council August 1986
Fun 6 man tag to open. Dutch just couldn't keep it under control as Boyd and Crusher get the fall, while Dutch is dealing with Jaggers. Invader 2 gets a nice win over Merc 1. Invaders look strong as they get a good win over Victor and Chicky. Loved the brawling tag match (If you can call it a match LOL). Cool visual of Tamba and Leduc brawling while Owen and Santana are helped out. Ayala has been on a great roll of late. He's beating baby faces but showing good sportsmanship. Colon sends the fans home happy once again while Ron and Chicky get another garbage shower.

1983 Project General Chatter Thread
I totally agree on Kerry Von Erich. He's the NWA Champ and needs to be working. Just an idea, maybe for now, the current NWA members can at least have him defending at House Shows in the different territories. That would keep him traveling and still gives him exposure throughout the NWA.

Just to get caught up. MACW traded King Kong Bundy and Terry Taylor to the UWF in exchange for Honkytonk Man and Brickhouse Brown. To avoid spoilers, the rest of the trade will be announced at a later date.

AWA results for July-August 1986
Good to see the AWA back on ESPN. Douglas and Pillman will no doubt learn a lot from Dundee. Race and Scorpio is such a great contrast of styles match. Race looks to be on his A game here in the AWA. Impressive win for Furnas over Wellington. You're right, that Youngbloods/Can Am feud is really heating up. Poor Gagne, that was one brutal beating at the hands of Nord. The Snakepit has been on a vicious roll. Wild main event. When Piper is thrown off guard, you know it's pretty bad. Might take awhile for Tanaka to bounce back from this.

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling Aug. 86
MACW @ The State Fairgrounds, Nashville TN 8-17-86 The Renegade Warriors vs. The Fabulous Blondes w/Rock Riddle Warriors control early with some solid teamwork. Mark has Wells in an armbar/twist and tags in Chris. Chris comes off the 2nd turnbuckle with an elbow to the arm. Later, Chris has Timbs in a full nelson, Mark tags in and comes off the top with a tomahawk chop to the head. The tide turns when Riddle trips Mark and he stumbles into a high knee from Timbs. Timbs drops several knees and tags in Wells. They swing Mark to the ropes and put him down with a double shoulder block. Later, Chris is in peril as Wells works him over with a neck crank then tags in Timbs. Wells body slams Chris and Timbs crashes down with a knee off the top rope 1..2..Mark breaks it up. Wells comes in and brawls with Mark. Riddle gets up on the apron. Mark back drops Wells over the top rope then goes to help Chris. They swing Timbs into Riddle (who fly's off the apron) Timbs staggers around and is nailed by the Warriors boots to his face! Chris covers 1..2..3! The fans pop as the Warriors hug and pump their fists to the fans. 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol vs. Terry Gibbs Gibbs works in some hard hitting offense but Idol fires back, swings Gibbs to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash. Idol lifts Gibbs up and drops him with a Shin Breaker. The crowd roars as Idol clamps on the Las Vegas Leglock to get the submission! The fans continue to cheer as Idol gives them a right arm bicep pose. Then WHAM!!!! A guitar busts over his head and the Honkytonk Man is standing over him! The fans boo as Honky just glares down at Idol. The boos get louder as Rob Fuller walks into the ring. Fuller and Honky look at each other, look down at Idol, smile and shake hands. Fuller raises up Honkytonk Man's arm, then they exit to boos. Bull Gantner vs. The Iron Sheik Lot of animosity here. Bull is still furious about the Caspian Empire's attack on him and now Sheik wants to make Bull pay for putting Smirnoff out. The bell rings as Bull starts hammering away on Sheik. Bull vertical suplexes Sheik, swings off the ropes and hits a jumping knee drop 1..2..Sheik gets his shoulder up. Bull puts Sheik in a hammerlock and slams him into the turnbuckle. UNIVERSAL WRESTLING FEDERATION (UWF)
Cornette and the Midnight Express are riding high again. Looks like the US Express are next in line. Murdoch as expected calls out Lawler. When Murdoch is on his game, he's a dangerous man especially with Wright in his corner. Lawler seems to be ready for the fight. I have to say, I'm a little concerned for Bob Armstrong. No doubt he's one tough man but Nikita is on a rampage right now. I wonder who's managing The Demon and Devil's Duo? It wouldn't be a UWF show without a brawl. JYD, Dr. Death and Doom going at it with Akbar's men is UWF at it's best. Ivan reminds everybody of Nikita's path of destruction towards Magnum TA. Sean Royal continues to stack up wins.
