NWA World Wrestling Council August 1986
Hot tag match to open the show. Owen scores the pin in this one but the brawl continues. Brad falls to Crusher with some help from Barrabas. I liked Brad's payback on Barrabas in the next match and helps his brother get the win. This has been a fun feud. Wild 6 man tag that could only end in chaos. Ayala gets a nice win over Invader 1. Good sportsmanship afterwards. Another crazy main event and once again the fans leave happy as Chicky takes the fall.

ECW 1993
Luger and Simmons get their points across. Good TV win for Chavis. Azrael dominates Brian X. Liked the post match confrontation between X and Smothers. Smothers will be a nice addition to ECW. WOW! What a main event! That was off the charts! Everybody got to shine. Storylines went further. In the end Nord stands tall but it looks like somebody is out there watching him.

Boyd and Crusher get the best of the Battens tonight. They win a battle but I think this war is far from over. Speaking of winning a battle, Dutch did that by knocking Jaggers out with brass knuckles. Chicky was smart not messing with Dutch. Colon and Leduc make a great team and looks like the fans would agree. I'm sure they loved seeing Colon knock Chicky off the apron. I enjoyed the main event as it showed the Caribbean Express can hang with the champs. I know I would be hightailing it if the Medicos were chasing me with bats. Once again, great job with your loops, I'm really enjoying them.

That's not a threat, that's a promise! Bull storms out. Crockett: Wow! That's one pumped up Bull Gantner. Yes, it will be Bull squaring off against Smirnoff in a featured match tonight. In another featured bout, the Renegade Warriors will take on the Fabulous Blondes. It saddens me to say, Rock Riddle will not be here tonight as him and National Champ, Arthur W. The last time I was here I was teaming with the great Pedro Morales. Pedro taught me a lot about what a tag team is all about and I knew I wanted to be back here in Mid Atlantic once I found the right partner. Well, I found him and he's Ben Bassarab. We hit it right off because we're both dedicated in the ring, in the gym and as a team. Ben: Man, it's so great to be here and Spike is exactly right. Commercial Break Crockett: Ok fans we want to take you to pre recorded comments by the United States Champion, the Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase. The chauffer opens the limo's door and Dibiase walks out. Dibiase: (Looks around with total distain) Jeez, I always know when I'm wrestling in Watt's territory. Bad News Brown, I'll start with you. You say you want to get your hands on me? Well, like I said, you're going to have to earn that right. Your fight towards me starts this weekend, when you face an old friend of mine...Stan Hansen! (Laughs) Good luck Brown! (Laughs) Now, Jimmy Snuka has signed to go another round this weekend in Raleigh with the Million Dollar Man. The bottom line is time is money to me Snuka, and I just don't have time for you anymore. (Another Laugh) Back in the Studio Footage is shown of Link's debut and brawl against Mark Lewin Missing Link vs. Lou Simms Link hammers away on Simms, then clamps on a bear hug and rams him into the turnbuckles. Link lifts Simms up and crashes down with a front powerslam. Link goes to the top rope and hits a diving headbutt for the pin! Link storms around the ring, holding the back of his head. Schiavone: Missing Link looks as dangerous as ever. He'll be teaming with Paul Orndorff this weekend at our big Nashville card and they'll be taking on the wild team of Tiger Jeet Singh and Mark Lewin. Fans in Nashville, please be careful. Speaking of Nashville, another top name appearing will be the Universal Heartthrob Austin Idol. Austin, come on over. You heard Rob Fuller last week, what do you make of his comments? Idol: Rob Fuller should change his name to Rob Full of It because your full of it Jack! He comes out here and sends a cryptic message then walks away smiling. Fuller! I knocked you out cold the last time we met. I was done with you but if you want more of a beating then brother come and get it! Brickhouse picks Sugar up and drops him back on the chair with a Russian Leg Sweep! Officials run in to back Brickhouse off. Brickhouse goes to the podium. Schiavone: Brickhouse Brown! What was the meaning of that? Brickhouse: I want to talk about loyalty and friendship. I'll be real clear for all these idiots out here. (Pause while the fans boo) First off Schiavone, I want you, your idiot peers and all these idiot fans out here to refer to me as The Onyx Brickhouse. You see, me and my good friend Koko Ware teamed as the Onyx Express. I happen to love the Onyx name and also respect Koko. Another man I respect and teamed with is Norvell Austin. Our friendship goes way back. Now Norvell and Koko are teaming up in Portland and I wish them all the best. Let me tell you what kind of friend and person Sweet Brown Sugar Skip Young is. Months back, Skip Young was teaming with Norvell. Well, Norvell was having some personal problems and you know what Skip did? He left him high and dry! He told Norvell he didn't want to deal with him and he should leave Mid Atlantic! Schiavone: I don't think that's the way it happened at all. Brickhouse: Open your eyes! What are you Schiavone? A damn fool? That's exactly what happened. I'm here for Norvell because that's what true friends do. They watch out for each other. I'm also here to make sure I run Skip Young out of here. You hear me Young! Your days as a backstabbing jackass are over! Schiavone: Oh my, very strong accusations from the Onyx Brickhouse. Fans, I assure you, Sweet Brown Sugar is one of the nicest and loyal friends anybody could have. I'm really not sure where this is coming from. We'll be back. In the background, several trees have pictures of DJ Peterson on them. The Flame is in the background with a rifle. He aims and shoots at the pictures of DJ Peterson. Assassin: I wanted the cameras to come out here, at my expense might I add, because I want this message to be heard loud and clear. Last week that punk DJ Peterson went after my mask and tried to rip it off my head. This mask and all it's tradition that it represents was disrespected by that Punk Peterson! Peterson, you lay at home healing but that's nothing compared to what The Flame is going to do to you next time! Flame walks over and Assassin hands him a pistol. Flame shoots several times at another picture of DJ. Assassin: Now The Flame can handle you just like that! But that's to easy! You're going to suffer Peterson! You wont know when or where The Flame will show up but when he does, get ready for a beating like you've never had before! Commercial Break Crockett: Coming up now will be The Renegade Warriors taking on the Fabulous Blondes. Wait a minute, what's going on here? The Fabulous Blondes walk to the podium. George Wells and Ken Timbs are wearing sunglasses and smiling bright. Timbs: Davey Baby, Rock Riddle wanted to make sure you got this. Timbs hands Crockett something. Crockett: What's this? Wells: (Grabs Crockett's shoulder and smiles) It's a post card from Rock himself, straight from Puerto Rico. The Blondes take off their sunglasses and head to the ring. Crockett: (looking at the card and shaking his head) I don't believe this. Renegade Warriors vs. The Fabulous Blondes Quite the rivalry has been brewing and it shows as both teams just go at it. And that sounds like bad news for you, Brown! Schiavone: Strong words from Stan Hansen as he meets this man, Bad News Brown this weekend in Raleigh. Brown: Dibiase! I told you, it don't matter who you put in front of me, cuz no matter what, I'm gonna get my hands on you! As for you Stan Hansen, yea, you're big, tough and bad but I'm from the streets of Harlem and I grew up fighting. So remember this Hansen, I've never lost a fight and I don't plan on losing to you! It's Rip Oliver facing Blackjack Mulligan inside the cage in Nashville. If Oliver wins, he gets 5 minutes in the cage (smiles) with you. Mulligan: If Oliver wins!? Paul, don't you worry about a thing. Oliver doesn't have a chance in Hell of beating me! Jones: You can stop smiling Crockett. WWF on Tour August 1986
Another good loop. Flair and Santana is always a crowd pleasing match. Hogan/Savage clashing with Arn and Tully is pretty damn awesome. I like this feud going with Atlas/Bravo and the Russians. The Hennig/Valentine feud went up a notch. Valentine has been ruthless but Hennig seems ready for the challenge. Blade Runners and Nasty Boys have a wild brawl. This feud is giving both young teams good exposure. Looks like Herc and Hart are done with Roma. Hogan with a strong promo. Man, I cant wait for their body shop showdown. Savage putting Heenan in a cage and releasing the dogs made for some great TV and the plan worked as he gets Windham in the cage! The SNME card is stacked.

GAEA Wrestling
Couple of good tournament tag matches. Red Typhoons advance but man do they have a tough challenge ahead against the Atrocious Alliance. With Dump around, the odds don't look good for the Red Typhoons.

NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling August 1986
I wonder what will happen to Jacques? The Kokina/OMG feud keeps gaining momentum. Borne has been on a hot streak as TV champion. Embry must of been excited to team with Inoki and Maeda. MS-1 and Hillbilly Jim get strong TV wins. Owen brings his new attitude back to Lutte and Keith seems to like it. Liked the Battle Bowl Exhibition main event. Now Martel has felt the wrath of this masked man!

NWA World Wrestling Council August 1986
Another crazy start with a wild street fight! Loved the finish with Santana nailing Owen with the boot. Battens-Boyd/Crusher continue to trade singles wins. This is such an awesome way to build towards the inevitable big tag match. Fun 6 man as Jaggers really pulled out the classic (not wanting to go face to face with Dutch) heel tactic. Jaggers taunting Dutch at the end adds to the fans chomping at the bit to see Dutch finally get him in the cage. Colon once again sends the fans home happy or is it pelting Chicky with garbage that sends them home happy? LOL

UNIVERSAL WRESTLING FEDERATION (UWF)
Good wins for Warlord, Royal and Devils Duo. Looks like Doom-Haku/Barbarian is far from over. Magnum saves Ice Man from the wrath of Nikita. Cant wait for that explosive match. Classic Mid South 6 man tag that ends in a draw and keeps the feuds going. That cheating Dibiase pulled out all the tricks to get that win. That finish to the main event would of blown the roof off the place. Atlantis continues to rack up wins. Boone decimates his opponent. After Bart using the branding iron, I'm sure the US Express aren't done with the Long Riders. Fuller gets the best of Bullet Bob, thanks to the miraculous healing of Wright. Fun brawl between Slater and Bubba. I feel for Cornette when Slater eventually gets his hands on him. I think Lawler just made Murdoch's hit list. Title change! I figured it wouldn't be long before the Midnight's got some gold again. This should set up some fun rematches.

ECW 1993
I like the Mero/Morton feud and Mero on commentary really adds to it. Eaton continues his solid reign as TV champ. Maximilian Payne returns!!! Shaw and Madusa are in serious trouble. The Levy segment was brilliant. His character is getting over. Larry Z gives Backlund some tough love and it looks like it worked as Backlund storms out with a chair to save him. It's great watching Backlund and Larry Z in the midst of ECW chaos. AHS are having a good run here. I'm sure Sandman will be looking for some payback on Simmons. Luger retains and showed no mercy on Sid's leg.

NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling August 1986
Impressive win for Goto to start the show. What a contrast of styles match between Los Infernales and the Hillbillies. So outrageous on paper but one of those types of matches you would just have to see. Lance and Savoldi is a fun match with Lance pulling out the claw! For some reason I knew this match with Bart would get Jacques back on track and it sure did. Armand beats Bruce. I like this Rougeau/Hart rivalry going. Wow, what a crazy turn of events in the main event. Embry blasting Jimmy and Jacques costing Kernodle the title. Great title run for Kernodle but I guess it had to end sometime. The good news is, we get to see a Garvin/Embry feud (Which should be a blast) and rekindled the Jacques/Kernodle feud. Summer Spectacular really delivered.

Portland Wrestling August 1986
I agree with Edger, love the show and easy to follow. Nice opener and strong finish as the Japanese team gets the win. Tiger Chung Lee gets a solid win over Graham with a classic heel tactic. PYT's literally get a huge win over the Zambuie Express. So far Summer Gold has been a lot of fun. The Heavenly Bodies/Lightning Express match should be an exciting one. Cant wait for the Gauntlet Match and find out who will be crowned Champion.

NWA World Wrestling Council August 1986
Good TV wins for Boyd/Crusher, Caribbean Express and Los Mercenarios. We hear from the Starrs and Medicos as well. Just shows how stacked your tag division is. Leduc and Tamba added for Sept. 20th, YES! Sounds like Owen wants no more of Santana after the 20th even threatening to get lawyers involved. Looks like TNT has gotten a lot of good buzz during his suspension and rightfully so after that AWA Title match with Steamboat. Of course the highlight for me was Chicky and Riddle shaking hands in the ring. What a visual! Fun seeing the Starrs briefly getting support only for Chicky to turn that around in a matter of seconds LOL.

UNIVERSAL WRESTLING FEDERATION (UWF)
Very smart move on Dibiase's part to have Destruction Inc watch his back especially with JYD and Dr. Death gunning for him. Yea, Grizzly Boone is on fire and now he's found some allies. Wright better watch out! Good wins for US Express and Ice Man. I'm still a little worried about Ice Man's upcoming match with Nikita. Doom could be big trouble for Akbar's men. Great ending with Slater swinging around a nightstick! Looks like Bubba felt the wrath.

NWA World Wrestling Council August 1986
Wild way to start the show and keep that feud hot. Battens both score singles wins over Boyd and Crusher. I wonder what's going to happen next time they square off in a tag match. Fun 6 man and a strong baby face win. Owen retains in a hard fought match with Invader 2. Nice run in by Santana as these two cant stay away from each other. Great finish to the main event as Colon pulls one over on Chicky's Mercenarios. LOL, even when Chicky comes up short he's still showered with garbage. Rough night for Starr Corporation.

UNIVERSAL WRESTLING FEDERATION (UWF)
Cant wait for RnR vs. The Fab Ones. Magnum/Nikita is ready to explode! Armstrong and Jarrett continue to impress as a team. Boone is a man on a mission and I don't think he's going to stop until he puts Wright down for good. Fantastic ending as Landell finally gets some payback on Baby Doll. With that and the coaching by Brisco, Landell has a good shot at taking Luger's title. Looking forward to Music City Mayhem. Mid Atlantic will get a chance to showcase it's product this Sunday in Nashville.

AWA results for July-August 1986
The Guerreros are really on a roll. Must of been a sweet win for Adams when he super kicked Adnan. Pillman and Douglas get a big win over the Bullies. I could watch Garvin and Burke brawl night after night. Piper and Orton retain in an intriguing match with Black Irish. Slaughter's men get a satisfying win. Zenk has been built up so well and now gets a well deserved world title match with Steamboat. Zenk really made the most of this and Steamboat makes the match gold. I'm hoping for more. Steamboat is such a versatile champ, a promoter's ideal champ. He can make anybody look good and still be a strong champion.

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling News One thing about the world of wrestling is promoters must adjust and adapt with constant changes. The Crockett's sure know how to do that. Tom Prichard left last month on good terms. The Crockett's thought he got over well as TV champion and loved his chemistry with Rock Riddle. He wanted to go out on a high note and venture back into tag team wrestling. Portland gave him the opportunity and he took it. King Kong Bundy asked to be released. He was really disappointed that they split him and JJ Dillon up as he felt the 10,000 dollar challenge angle really got them over. Even though he was in the middle of a hot feud with Bad News Brown, Bundy was still depressed and vocal about this, so the Crockett's granted his release. Stampede Rush has also departed. They enjoyed their brief run in MACW but wanted to be a heel team. The Crockett's felt they had enough heel teams already and wanted to have Stampede Rush be a hard hitting baby face team. In the end, both sides parted on good terms. Jimmy Valiant ended his run. This had been the plan as Valiant was brought in to continue his feud with Paul Jones and help get Rip Oliver over as a baby face. A new tag team called High Octane will soon debut as a replacement for Hot Property. The Crockett's couldn't be more pleased with manager Rock Riddle and how he's really gotten over. They have high expectations on what he can do with National Champ Arthur W. Crews. Tony St. Clair has been paired with JJ Dillon. The Crockett's have full faith that JJ can pull this off and elevate St. Clair to main event level here in the States. The Awesome Twosome have won the US tag team championships. The Crockett's are hoping for a long term reign and feel they can main event in a lot of arenas. Get ready because Tommy Rich and Buzz Sawyer are heading for a big time feud! The Crockett's have praised Paul Orndorff and his Mid Atlantic title run. Orndorff has drawn huge gates on the cards he's main evented. His feud with Tiger Jeet Singh has sold out numerous venues. United States Champ Ted Dibiase has been a huge draw as well, not only at the live gates but when he appears on TV, the ratings surge. His Million Dollar Man gimmick has drawn tremendous heat in the Mid Atlantic region. The Crockett's are lining up top names to face him. He will headline against Jimmy Snuka through the Summer. Also a match has been signed between him and the legendary Mil Mascaras on September 27th. Finally, the NWA have huge plans for Starrcade and the seeds will be planted this Fall. Rumor of a Battle Bowl event is being talked about to help set up Starrcade. The Crockett's are planning a mega main event for their portion of Starrcade. Supposedly, this is going to be the biggest main event in MACW history. Stay tuned!

World Class Championship Wrestling July/August 1986
Gilbert retains against Street but looks like a mixed tag match might be coming soon. Fun 8 man elimination tag with Muta standing tall in the end. Cool seeing Muta's rise in the States. Mr. Olympia gets some sweet revenge. Killer Bees have a strong debut beating the Super Destroyers. Looking forward to the Bees run here in WCCW. Jimmy Valiant as Saturday was brilliant. Valiant teaming with Rhodes against the Headhunters should be a blast. Wild bunkhouse match as Funk starts his revenge tour but Dr. D plays spoiler. A brawling double countout is about right for the Road Warriors-Brody/Hansen match and Precious Paul gets the titles back. Great main event as Kerry gets another successful title defense over the always tough Dory Funk Jr.

LOL, I noticed you liked the Sharpe wins in the past, so that TV title match was strictly for you Gordy!
