  1. Lightfoot is quickly looking to make a name for himself here. The battle of the feet comment cracked me up. DJ has put together quite a stable. It's great seeing these guys back in our game. I don't think to many people will mess with Precious with Miller watching her back. Both tournaments are loaded with talent. Can't wait to see who walks out with the gold. LOL, the Son of the Beach gimmick is great. This gives Grizzly a new resurgence in our world. Things quickly turn sour with Price wiping him out. A heated feud has started. Fun match with the Jr. title on the line. Mando was great here. I'm going to enjoy his run as the sneaky heel. However, Mikey is looking to end the run soon. Nice set up. PWF has another hot feud going with Humperdink's men, Kendall and the Rich's. Florida is catching fire!
  2. Without Hart, I wonder what's in the cards for the Rougeaus? I loved the write up with Bundy doing the damage and Jake finishing things off with the DDT. The build up to a Bossman/Zeus showdown has been great. That's going to get a huge pop at SS. I would say Haku gets the finish of the night. Damn! What a visual. Savage looks fantastic until Funk gets in a brutal shot. This is going to be a war at SS.
  3. The Dreamboats win is overshadowed by issues between the Blondes and Southern Boys. Man, I think Hall might be in trouble. Austin is clearly ready for Bret. If Lee and Rhodes keep this up, the Brigade might have a chance. Gordy sends older brother Ricky a violent message. LA, Southern Boys get some old fashion payback One of my favorite moves is Busick's spinebuster slam. Payne has an ally in Eagle. Good to have friends in PCW. I could watch Pilman and Eaton go at it forever. I'll say this, Hashimoto isn't ducking anyone Irish put in a game effort, but PR are rock'n as champs. If Steamboat is looking to tune up for Gordy, then Albright was a perfect opponent. Santa Barbara, 1990 has Young's name all over it. Scotty better be ready because Azul's coming. You have to be 100% going up against Iron and Steel or this happens. Eddie seems to be fired up. Regal and Adams tear the house down. Ok, Scotty's ready. Now I think Azul better be watching out for Tina.

We all hope Nikita will make it. OK, let's get to the ring. 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol vs. 'Bullet' Bob Armstrong In another match that was announced by Gerry Morrow, this is the rivalry that started it all. The bell rings and these guys go at it. They brawl back and forth for a few minutes. Armstrong gets control and pinballs Idol around the ring for a while. Idol hits a shin breaker and goes for the Las Vegas leglock but Armstrong cradles him 1..2..3!! BIG POP! So far, the All-Stars are 0-3 in the series. While this is happening, Stevens slowly gets up on the outside and goes over to Hogan's corner and starts yelling up at Hogan. Hogan is about to go after Stevens, but Jumbo runs over, yanks Hogan off the apron and rams him face first into the steel post, busting Hogan open. Jumbo then suplexes Hogan on the concrete. Inside the ring, Nikita is fighting the Abdominal stretch. He shakes up and down, then hip tosses Tatsumi over. Nikita staggers back into the corner and reaches for the tag, but Hogan is still out on the outside. Jumbo runs in the ring. Him and Tatsumi double team Nikita, then double suplex him. Jumbo helps Tatsumi out if there. Then they both help Stevens to the back. Hogan and Nikita are standing tall. Wait a minute! Out walks COL. DEBEERS. He strolls around the ring twirling his mustache. Hogan sees him and demands he gets into the ring. Debeers smiles and points behind Hogan. Hogan turns around WHAM! WHAT THE HELL?!?! Nikita Koloff puts Hogan down with a Russian Sickle!!!! The crowd goes into a stunned silence. Debeers pulls something out from under the ring. It's Nikita's old Russian chain. Debeers goes into the ring and hands Nikita the chain. Nikita wraps the chain around his arm. Debeers picks up Hogan and holds him as Nikita gives Hogan another Russian Sickle with the chain wrapped around his arm. Hogan is a bloody mess. The show ends with Nikita and Debeers shaking hands over a lifeless Hulk Hogan.

Also, the winners of the matches will get the full share of the money while the loser walks away with no pay for the night. This particular match has quite the history. The finish sees Al execute a helicopter drop as Lou follows with a bridging back suplex for the win. Nelson: Well Al it looks like you've taken your brother under your wing. Al: That's right I did. Lou just needed a little guidance. I told him to forget about these fans and focus on this team. I mean look at us Larry. Are we hot or what? Lou: Al's got a point. We're definitely the best looking tag team, now all we need is some gold. Commercial Break AWA International Champ 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor vs. Sam Smith Taylor spends a lot of time strutting around between wrestling moves. He finishes things off with the flying five arm. Nelson: Ok Terry, in 2 weeks right here on TV, you will be defending your title in a rematch with Leo Burke. Taylor: (Slicks back his ponytail) Really? Again? I beat that guy fair and square in Alaska and he gets a rematch? Nelson: I wouldn't exactly call it fair. That's why Leo is getting a rematch. Taylor: You talk too much Nelson. Look, I run this henhouse and this title proves it. Fine, I'll beat loser Leo again, no problem, because like I've said, I walk it like I talk it. Commercial Break Ken Resnick is in the SuperClash Control Center Resnick: Welcome to this week's SuperClash 4 update. The place, Denver's McNichols Arena, the date, January 3rd. The event, SuperClash 4. Last week we found out that rock sensation Pat Benatar will kick things off with America the Beautiful. We also heard the first match signed between Paul Orndorff and Stan Hansen. As you know every year at SuperClash a tag team battle royal is held with the winners getting a shot at the National tag titles. Well, this year there will be a tag team battle royal. Only this time it will be for the AWA National tag titles. Gerry Morrow made this decision after the Rock n Roll Express relinquished these titles last week. And speaking of the RnR Express, they will get their world tag title shot at SuperClash against the Fantastics. Wow! Talk about a dream match. Ok, see you next week for another update. Commercial Break 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo vs. Brad Rheingans w/Ken Patera Disalvo puts his muscles to work early as he slams and tosses Rheingans all over the place. Things take a turn when from the outside, Patera trips Disalvo. Disalvo stumbles into a gut wrench suplex by Rheingans. However, the Ref sensed something and bans Patera from ringside. Commercial Break AWA World Tag Champs The Fantastics vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez The Fantastics look crisp as they win the match with the Rocket Launcher. Nelson: OK Fantastics, in a wild turn of events, the RnR Express relinquished the National titles to go after the world titles. As of now that means they will face you two at SuperClash. What's your thoughts on all this? Fulton: Hey, we have the upmost respect for the Rock n Roll Express and everything they've achieved. However, we think they made a big mistake giving up the National titles. Rogers: That's right. You know, Bobby and I went through hell with the Guerreros to get these titles and we've been taking on all comers since. RnR seem to think they're going to simply take these from us at SuperClash. Think again! Fulton: It's not going to happen. We're looking forward to matching skills but in the end, the Fantastics are going to show the world just who the best team in wrestling is. Commercial Break 'The Rock' Don Muraco w/Superstar Graham vs. Bill Dundee If Dundee wins, he gets his Superstar name back. If Muraco wins, he gets a shot at the International Title. Muraco grabs Dundee and delivers an overhead suplex. Muraco picks up Dundee and slams his head 10 times on the turnbuckles as the fans count along. Muraco hoists Dundee up and delivers a tombstone piledriver 1..2..NO! Muraco lifts Dundee up. Muraco hoists Dundee up again and delivers another tombstone piledriver 1..2..NO! Muraco lifts Dundee up again. Graham is on the outside yelling at Muraco that Dundee's had enough. Muraco smiles at Graham, hoists Dundee up and delivers a 3rd tombstone piledriver 1..2..3! Graham enters the ring and is talking to Muraco. Muraco just smirks and exits. Graham looks down at Dundee with concern, then exits. Next up: NO HOLDS BARRED, THE MOVIE/THEMATCH
  6. After that Road Warriors segment, Arn and Tully might be rethinking things. YES! Flair and Harley one more time! This is what Starrcade is all about. I would say 2 Cold definitely earned his shot at the gold. Another gem match at Starrcade. Things got nuts and then went up another level when Kamala came out. Looks like another great set up for Starrcade. The NWA is on fire and Starrcade is shaping up to be one of the best cards of the year.
  7. Blockbuster announcement with the merger. Big things ahead for 1990! Jimmy Hart thinks JJ is behind the fireball, but I'm not so sure Nothing like a southern family feud. Golden's right, this could get bloody. We'll have to wait and see if Elvira comes back out with Rogers. Loving DWB's injury angle. This is heading for a fun blow off. Awesome segment with Lance, Tojo, Goto and SGT. SLAUGHTER! Things went from terrifying to satisfying real quick. Can't wait for the bootcamp match! I have a feeling Dutch will still find a way to use shoo baby. Wrestlewar is going to set the tone for the USWA!
  8. Jake isn't messing around by bringing in Bundy. Rude gets a little payback for the busted nose Andre gave him. I'm sure Bossman and Zeus will get their big moment at SS. Looking forward to two powerhouse teams like Demolition and the Skyscrapers going at it. Poor Virgil Muta and Tito tear the house down while Savage and Funk's melee causes a lot of chaos.
  9. We'll see if Iron and Steal can tame Cactus. WOW! Huge announcement from Hall, but man that cage match with Awesome is going to be, well, awesome. Condrey sends Lynn an early message. Hmmmmm, what's up with Sinister and Beetlejuice. I don't think Riggins head is in the game right now. Dibiase and Williams are such a cohesive unit. Cow Palace, Starr gets in some shots, but Douglas is fired up for Cornette's men. Rhodes is trying, but Gordy's just too much. Thanks to Tina, Rose racks up another. Albright's been taking the champs to the limit Can't wait for Hart and Austin in the cage. Young's been making a name for himself. Fresno, Adams wins a battle, but more to come. Smothers put up a fight, but Severn prevails Lynn comes back hard Hall's tuned up and ready for Awesome Man, Eddie and Dean could be holding tag gold next year. Regal ducks nobody. He's having a nice run
  10. It's so great to have you back! It's also great to have Florida back in the game. I'm sure you'll set the territory on fire. New Breed is the team to watch. It's Florida, so you have to have Humperdink and Kabuki. Dory brings immediate credibility. COOL! Can't wait to see Precious and Jimmy Jam strut their stuff. A lot of big name teams gunning for the gold. Hahahaha love Cannonball's new persona. Fits well here. I always liked writing for Afi. This is a place he could really shine. Thanks to Kabuki's deadly mist, Humperdink's men steal the main event. Looking forward to the crowning of the first champ. I can see a few names holding the strap. This is going to be a lot of fun.
  11. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-8-89 Highlights are shown from the Alaska card. The Rock n Roll Express defeat the Olympians for the National tag titles. The final clip is Hulk Hogan hitting the leg drop on Austin Idol to retain the AWA world title. Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. AWA World Champ Hulk Hogan will be here tonight to talk about next week's pay per view No Holds Barred, the Match/The Movie. Tom Brandi defends the AWA TV title against Larry Zbyszko. Huge 6 man tag match as Carlos Colon and Justified take on Tony St. Clair and the Union Jacks. The new National tag champs the RnR Express will be here as well as AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow. We'll also have our first Super Clash 4 control center update. Ok, let's get to the ring. 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo vs. Trent Watkins Disalvo uses a lot of power moves before finishing off Watkins with a running shoulder breaker. Nelson announces that next week Disalvo will take on Brad Rheingans of the Olympians. Commercial Break Brenda Britton is on screen. Britton: Hi everybody, joining me now is the AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow. Gerry, I must say you're doing an incredible job and I'm sure you have a lot to say, so go right ahead. Morrow: AHHHHHH Thank you Brenda. Indeed I do. As you know there's been a lot of bad blood between de All-Stars and Armstrong, Parsons, Sugar, Beefcake and Muraco. I thought dis would be over at War Games but I guess I thought wrong. Boos as the All-Stars storm out. Idol: Gerry! Gerry! Gerry! Darling, this has gotten way out of control and we've had enough. You saw what they did to Glamour Doll last week! Because of that I couldn't concentrate on my world title bout with that wannabe Austin Idol, Hulk Hogan. Those jerks are sore losers and they went way to far! We want them out of the AWA! The All-Stars are nodding and yelling at Morrow. Morrow: Ok, just relax boys. Here is what I am going to do. There will be a series of one on one matches. However, I want both sides to know, if there is any outside interference, then I will kick them out of de AWA for good. So, here are de match ups. Austin Idol vs. Bob Armstrong. Dream Machine vs. Sweet Brown Sugar. Brian Adias vs. Brutus Beefcake. Chicky Starr vs. Iceman Parsons. Bill Dundee vs. Don Muraco. Dundee: Hold on Gerry! I want my superstar name back! Morrow: Hahahaha but of course. I'll have some fun with dis one. If you win de match Bill, you will get your Superstar name back. If Muraco wins, he will get a shot at de International title. As for de other matches, de winners will receive full share of de purse and de losers will get no money. Just a little added incentive hahahaha. Hopefully these matches will get it all out of your systems. We will start de matches next week. And remember, if there is any outside interference, people will be out of de AWA for good. Best of luck to all involved. Dream: We make our own luck babay! Commercial Break Tommy Jammer vs. Clinton Stitch Jammer slams Stitch, swings off the ropes and hits the California Splash for the win. Nelson: Ok from California, please welcome to the AWA, Tommy Jammer. Jammer: California, pretty woman, surf, sand and fun in the sun. Something this place clearly lacks. But don't fret because Tommy Jammer is bringing California to you. Now, everybody is talking about SuperClash 4 the biggest pay per view of the year. Well, it's going to get bigger because I'm making sure I'll be there. That's right! I'm riding the tidal wave right into SuperClash. I've got an open contract to wrestle anybody. All you have to do is gather up some courage and sign your name on the dotted line. (looks at Nelson) Larry you need to relax a bit. Come on, hang loose brother. Commercial Break Carlos Colon and Justified vs. 'Sir' Tony St. Clair and The Union Jacks w/Les Thornton The fans get a fun 6 man tag match here. Colon and St. Clair have some solid exchanges with neither man gaining a distinctive advantage. Justified and the Union Jacks get their moments in with some hard hitting tag action. Oliver and Smith are going at it. Oliver gets control and clotheslines Smith down. Thornton gets on the apron. Oliver goes after him. Dave nails Oliver. That brings in the rest. Colon and St. Clair trade forearm uppercuts. Young punches Dave into the corner and unloads. Oliver swings off the ropes but Thornton trips him. Oliver staggers into a running knee lift by Smith 1..2..3! The Parliament steals this one. Commercial Break SuperClash 4 Control Center Ken Resnick is sitting in front of a SuperClash banner. Resnick: Fans, SuperClash returns to the McNichols Arena in Denver Colorado on Friday January 3rd. As you know SuperClash is the AWA's flagship event and this year promises to be better than ever. Music sensation Pat Benatar will kick off the event singing America the Beautiful. As for the action, listen to this. The first match signed will be Paul Orndorff squaring off against Stan Hansen. As you all remember it was Hansen who reinjured Paul's neck at the Happening which led to Paul losing the International title to Terry Taylor just days later. That should be quite the grudge match. More news in the weeks to come. Commercial Break AWA National Tag Champs The RnR Express vs. Walter Sampson and Todd Rooney The fans cheer as RnR hit the double dropkick for the win. RnR hold up the National titles then stare at them for a bit. Nelson: Ricky and Robert, congratulations on winning the National tag titles. I know it must be a great feeling. Robert: It's unbelievable Larry. Winning these titles is a tremendous honor and we have the upmost respect for these titles. But we have an announcement to make. Tell em Ricky. Morton: Like Robert said, we have nothing but respect for these tremendous titles. It was an absolute honor and privilege to win these in Alaska. The thing is, we're gunning to be the very best here in the AWA and that means we have to win the World tag titles. We know the rules and the AWA says champions can't go after other titles unless they relinquish their current titles. So this is very bittersweet for us. We're hereby relinquishing the National titles to go after the world titles. Nelson: Wow, talk about a curveball. Gerry Morrow comes back out. Morrow: Gentlemen, are you absolutely sure you want to do dis? Morton: Yes Gibson: Yes Morrow: Ok den. I do respect your aspirations and you will get dat world title match. RnR kiss the National titles and hand them over to Morrow. Commercial Break AWA TV Title Bout 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi (C) vs. 'The Living Legend' Larry Zbyszko Instead of his usual stalling, Zbyszko attacks Brandi at the bell. Zbyszko rakes Brandi's eyes, swings him to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Brandi kicks him. Brandi dives on Zbyszko and starts pounding away. Zbyszko tries to roll out of the ring, but Brandi grabs his boots and drags him back in. Brandi stomps down on Zbyszko, picks him up and slams him down. Brandi swings off the ropes and delivers a jumping knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Brandi picks up Zbyszko and hits a delayed vertical suplex. Brandi goes to the top rope and leaps off with a flying elbow drop but Zbyszko moves at the last second. Both men are reeling. They both stagger up and Zbyszko nails Brandi with a mule kick. Zbyszko grabs Brandi and hits a snap suplex 1..2..Kick Out. Zbyszko berates the Ref, then starts choking Brandi. Zbyszko drags Brandi to the ropes and chokes him on the bottom rope, then drops several knees on Brandi. Zbyszko swings Brandi to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow drop. Wait a minute! David Sammartino (with a bandage on his head from that Zbyszko chair shot 2 weeks ago) comes out. He stands at ringside with his arms folded. Zbyszko sees him and starts yelling at him. He yells at the Ref and demands Sammartino be thrown out. The Ref just shrugs his shoulders. Zbyszko goes towards the turnbuckles and starts berating Sammartino. Brandi staggers up, runs at Zbyszko and dropkicks him into the turnbuckles! Zbyszko hits hard and staggers back into a roll up by Brandi 1..2..3!!!! Mega Pop! Brandi rolls out of the ring. Sammartino hands him the TV title and raises his arm. Zbyszko is having a big time tantrum in the ring. Commercial Break Footage is shown from last week as Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami double powerbomb Nikita Koloff. Pre recorded comments Jumbo and Tatsumi are standing behind Ray Stevens with their arms crossed. Stevens: Hogan! You saw what we did to your partner! Nikita Koloff found out the hard way what happens when you stick your nose in our business. What are you going to do now Hogan? You're one week away from being destroyed, beaten and laid down to rest! Hulkamania is over! It's all over! Back live Nelson: Fans, next week you get to watch No Holds Barred the movie followed by the match. Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Nikita Koloff and this man, the AWA world champion, Hulk Hogan! Eye of the Tiger blasts as Hogan comes blaring out in jeans, tank top, headband and the world title around his waist. He enters the ring and gives the fans a thumbs up. Nelson: Hulk, you just heard the comments from Ray Stevens and you saw what Jumbo and Tatsumi did to Nikita. Will Nikita even be able to show next week? Hogan: Let me tell you something Lethal Larry! There's no doubt in my mind that Nikita will be there brother! They gave him all they had and trust me it wasn't nearly enough to stop Nikita Koloff brother. Boos as Col Debeers strolls out, twirling his mustache. Debeers stares up at Hogan. Hogan: Listen up Debeers! I don't know what your problem is, but you better steer clear of Nikita and myself. If you have something to say, get in this ring and say it to my face! Debeers keeps twirling his mustache, then casually turns around and walks away. Hogan: That's what I thought. Now, next week spells the end for Jumbo Tsuruta, Tatsumi Fujinami and that cockroach Ray Stevens! Stevens says Hulkamania is over but I say hell no! Hullkamania is going to run wild in the AWA for a long time brother. It's getting stronger everyday with all the Hulkamaniacs support. Thanks to them, Hulkamania is unstoppable! So, Jumbo, Tatsumi and Stevens, whatcha gonna do when the Russian Nightmare and Hulkamania run wild on youuuuuuuu! The show ends with Hogan posing.

Sorry for falling behind. Johnson impresses but Fleming's experience pays off. Onita's been on fire and it continues as he advances. Yamazaki's plan works as he stops Doleman's recent momentum. Fujiwara was clicking on all cylinders. I give Smiley a lot of credit. He took some serious shots but kept coming back. Sayama earned that one. Koslowski gave it his all but Karelin's suplexes sealed the deal. Karelin vs Onita is going to be a very interesting match up. I was really looking forward to Backlund vs. Vader. Vader once again looks like an absolute beast as he dominates Backlund. Suzuki came so close to a huge upset but Takada's flurry at the end did the job. Maeda advances after another tough fight with Han. These guys tore the house down again. Can't wait for the next round!
  13. No doubt in my mind, Budro and Prichard are going to tear the house down at Starrcade! Very intriguing situation with the Horsemen. Can't wait to see what goes down at Starrcade. Manny's has enough and is going into business for himself. Kevin better keep a close eye on him.
  14. Portland The woes continue for Starr. Awesome is looking devastating Gordy gets in a great tune up Rose and Scotty make a pretty good team Despite the rule breaking, PR retains Like Gordy, Steamboat gets in a tough tune up Eugene, Condrey puts down Cornette's thorn The Dreamboats are heading into San Diego with serious momentum Dibiase has all the tools When Hall hits the Gator Breaker, it's all over Albright takes champ Regal to the limit Midnights end the night with a bang.
  15. Lee's back on track while Riggins has a lot on his mind. I wonder what's going on with Beetlejuice and Sinister. San Diego will be the Dreamboats big chance. I still have to wonder if Cornette will come up with something. Looks like Jackal might have rekindled Payne. Iron and Steel's ruthlessness seems to be winning over some fans. San Diego will be a huge night for the Terror. Could this be the end of the Brigade? Gordy's hell bent on beating Steamboat. Austin's getting back in with the fans. The cage match will be very interesting.
  16. AWA @ The Sullivan Arena, Anchorage Alaska 11-2-89 Tommy Jammer defeats Clayton Royce with the California Splash Karachi Vice defeats Two Local Talents- Makhan executes a backbreaker and Gama follows with a Boston Crab to get the submission win. Konnan vs. Moondog Spot w/Moondog Rex and Skandor Akbar Konnan spends most of the match dealing with constant outside interference from both Rex and Akbar. At one point Rex is on the apron. Spot swings Konnan towards Rex, but Konnan reverses it and swings Spot into Rex. A disoriented Spot spins around as Konnan nails him with a lunging clothesline for the win! The Brawney Boys vs. A mystery team Jim and Kaz wait in the ring for their opponents. The announcer introduces 'Latin Desire'. Out walks Al and Lou Perez. They're wearing black vests with red hearts on the back. They seem really full of themselves. Latin Desires confidence fades as the Brawny Boys pinball them around the ring with their brute strength and raw power. Kaz has Lou in a bearhug and wrenches away. Al comes in and hits Kaz with a forearm blast from behind. Jim comes in and sends Al back to the corner with a big right punch. The Ref guides Jim back. This allows Al to nail Kaz with a superkick and Lou follows with a bridging back suplex as the Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! As Jim runs in, the Perez's quickly exit the ring. AWA International Title Bout 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor (C) vs. Leo Burke These guys can go and man they brought their A games. The match goes back and forth and they both shine. AWA National Tag Team Title Bout The Olympians (C) vs. The Rock n Roll Express RnR get a huge reaction from the fans as they hit the ring. The Olympians enter the ring and grab the mic. Patera and Rheingans take turns berating RnR and say they shouldn't have to defend these prestigious titles against some dirty hippies. After more of this, the Ref just signals for the bell. RnR stereo dropkick the Olympians out of the ring as the fans go wild. The opening minutes is all RnR as they fluster and piss off the Olympians with quick tags and fast paced offense. Olympians finally make a comeback thanks to an outside trip by Patera followed by a gut wrench suplex by Rheingans. The Olympians get down to business and really work Morton over. More frustration grows because they can't put Morton away. At one point Morton makes the hot tag, but the Ref doesn't see it. Morton takes more punishment as Rheingans delivers a side suplex then tags in Patera. Patera puts on an awesome display of strength as he destroys Morton with a series of power moves. Patera then clamps on the full nelson and wrenches away. Gibson runs in and dropkicks Patera from behind. Rheingans runs in but gets back dropped. After the Ref gets order, Patera tags in Rheingans. The Olympians double team Morton in the corner. Gibson has enough, runs over and punches away on the Olympians. Gibson swings Rheingans to the ropes and back drops him. Patera charges but Gibson takes him over with a flying head scissors. Gibson helps Morton up. Patera is on his knees. Rheingans staggers up as RnR double dropkick him. Rheingans falls back over Patera as Morton springs himself over Patera and covers Rheingans 1..2..3!!! HUGE POP! The fans go wild as the Ref hands RnR the National tag titles! Hogan fights back, swings Idol to the ropes and clotheslines him down. Hogan rips Idol's headband off, then rips his Idolmania shirt off and chokes him with it. Hogan lifts Idol up, spins him around and slams him down hard. It's all Hogan as he unleashes a series of power moves that has Idol bouncing and bumping all over the ring. Idol rolls out of the ring to take a breather. The Ref starts the count. Idol hops on the apron. Hogan goes to grab him but Idol hops down. After this happens a couple times, Hogan goes out after Idol and chases him around the ring. Idol slides in the ring. Hogan follows but Idol quickly nails Hogan with a high knee lift. 17. AWA releases Steve Doll AWA picks up Tommy Jammer
  18. True SNME feel tonight. Great visual of Jake's DDT on Dusty. These guys are on their A game with this feud. Savage gets the mist and Santana takes the pin. Funk and Muta have the momentum going into SS. This match rocked! Like Zeus's role here. He's doing exactly what he should be doing. Can't wait to see him and Bossman go at it. Just like that, the Steiners have regained the US titles! Raw, Oh yea, Bossman and Zeus are heading for a showdown. I'm surprised Jack Tunney didn't have anything to say about the Steiners LOL. Michaels gives Rude more than he bargained for. This Michaels kid might have a future as a solo. Demolition joins the madness. I can't imagine who Jake is bring in.
  19. Loved the Halloween theme tonight. So fitting for Memphis, especially the gimmick match to start things off. Goto is a beast!!!! The Tojo/Lance side story is great stuff. Figures on Halloween, Rogers would find his valet. I'm sure Embry will be back for more. DWB is having a fun run as Tri champ. Well, Brad wins the match but Dutch ends up with shoo baby. That sounds about right. Probably not the way Keirn and JJ wanted to win the match. I really like how you're using the team of HTM and Valentine. Oh man! The twists and turns continue! First the Roberts turn and now Golden turns. This story keeps getting better! Damn! I wonder who Freddy was??? Whoever it is, he sure hates Jimmy Hart. Lawler ends Halloween on a high note. Great stuff Kev! Every week is must see.
  20. I'll take Alexandra York and drop out.
  21. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-89 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. A lot of our wrestlers are in Alaska preparing for the big night, which includes Hulk Hogan defending the AWA world title against Austin Idol. We'll show you all the highlights next week. Well, we've got a lot in store for tonight's program. The AWA world tag team titles will be on the line as the Fantastics defend against the Rose Cousins. Ok, lets get the show going. 'The Foreman' Spike Huber vs. Grant Winslow Huber airplane spins Winslow, slams him down and follows with an elbow drop for the win. Huber cuts a promo and says some recent losses have set him back some, but that's not going to keep him down. Commercial Break The Renegade Warriors vs. Vinergy w/The Vin Man Warriors start off strong and have Vinergy reeling. The Warriors swing Putski to the ropes and double back drop him. Dukes runs in but gets double chopped down. Vinnie hops on the apron but jumps down quick when the Warriors head over. The Warriors rough up Putski pretty good. Putski finally makes the tag, but Dukes doesn't fare any better. Chris suplexes Dukes as Mark follows with a fist drop from the middle ropes 1..2..Dukes gets his foot on the rope. Vinnie hops on the apron and starts causing trouble. Chris hops down and yanks Vinnie off the apron. The Ref is distracted by this. Mark picks Dukes up, but Putski runs in and Polish Hammers Mark from behind! Putski puts Dukes on top of Mark and yells at the Ref. The Ref turns around, runs over and counts 1..2..3! Chris tosses Vinnie down and runs into the ring to protect Mark. Vinergy rolls out of the ring. They help Vinnie up and celebrate their victory. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, next week, Tom Brandi will defend the AWA TV title against this man, Larry Zbyszko. Larry, last week you used a chair on David Sammartino to earn this match and I use the term earn very loosely. Zbyszko: Ok, that's enough out of you Spudhead. You know, Bruno's boy has been nothing but a pesky thorn in my side. How many times do I have to knock some sense into that brat! Now, onto something worthy of my time. I'm talking about the TV title. That young punk Brandi pulls off the fluke of a lifetime and now goes around calling himself a champion. Next week, I'm putting a stop on that. The living legend should be a champion and I'm going to take that punk to Larryland, give him a wrestling lesson and take that title. As for you Nelson, do me a favor and just keep your mouth shut! Nelson rolls his eyes Commercial Break 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer vs. Trent Watkins Sawyer destroys his opponent and easily wins the match with a powerslam. Sawyer then proceeds to bite Watkins head until he bleeds. Officials run in to stop this madness. Commercial Break Nelson: Ok, with me now is Bob Armstrong, Brutus Beefcake, Iceman Parsons, Sweet Brown Sugar, Don Muraco and his manager Superstar Graham. I think we all thought your feud with the All-Stars was over after War Games, but after what happened to Glamour Doll, it looks like another chapter. Armstrong: Let me make something clear, we would've accepted our loss at War Games and moved on if it had been legit. That coward Doll, who wasn't even in the match brought in a steel bar and that steel bar won the match. Our man Sugar was banged up pretty bad with that steel bar. Last week Glamor Doll found out exactly how that felt. All-Stars, this can stop now. It's up to you. Boos as Bill Dundee comes out. He grabs a microphone from the announcer's table. Dundee: Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! You boys started something last week and the All-Stars are going to finish it. Oh no, this isn't over, not by a long shot! Brian Adias, Chicky Starr and Dream Machine come from behind as Dundee joins. Fists start flying! It's pure chaos! Security, officials and prelim wrestlers run out. It's pandemonium! Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness! Ok, it's official, that war is not over! I've received word that the AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow will be here next week to address this situation. (deep breath) Switching gears, as you all know, in 2 weeks there will be a special pay per view called No Holds Barred, The Match/The Movie. You will see Hulk Hogan's movie No Holds Barred and then afterwards from the St. Paul Civic Center you will see the match as AWA World Champ Hulk Hogan and Nikita Koloff take on Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami with Ray Stevens in their corner. Also, in a special bonus match from St. Paul, Tony St. Clair will wrestle Carlos Colon. A very exciting night indeed. Our world tag team title bout when we come back. Commercial Break AWA World Tag Team Title Bout The Fantastics (C) vs. The Rose Cousins The first few minutes is basic tag wrestling with both teams displaying solid and fluid teamwork. The Fantastics gain control and turn things up with some high octane offense that throws the Roses off their game. Rogers hits a flying crossbody on Pat 1..2..Kick out. Rogers tags in Fulton. Rogers slams Pat as Fulton comes off the top rope with a knee drop 1..2..Randy runs in and breaks it. Rogers comes in, but the Ref guides him back. This allows Randy to clock Fulton and drag Pat to the corner. Randy tags himself in. Randy works over Fulton and tags in Pat. They swing Fulton to the ropes and put him down with a double back elbow smash. Pat covers 1..2..Kick out. Pat pounds away on Fulton, then tags in Randy. Randy hops on the turnbuckles. Pat vertical suplexs Fulton as Randy follows with a slingshot splash 1..2..Rogers runs in and breaks it. Pat pushes Rogers, but the Ref guides Pat to his corner. This allows Rogers to dropkick Randy, drag Fulton back to the corner and tag himself in. Rogers takes it to Randy. It's all Rogers but his momentum is stopped when Pat nails him with a knee to the back from the apron. Randy clotheslines Rogers and tags in Pat. Pat executes a backbreaker 1..2..Kick Out. Pat swings Rogers to the ropes and back drops him, then tags in Randy. The Roses double suplex Rogers. Randy covers 1..2..Kick Out. Randy slams Rogers and tags in Pat. Pat goes for another back drop, but Rogers kicks him and tags in Fulton. Fulton punches away on Pat, swings him to the ropes and dropkicks him down. Fulton follows with a jumping knee drop 1..2..Randy breaks it. Rogers runs in and we've got a pier six brawl. The Fantastics double dropkick Randy out of the ring. Pat staggers up and gets double dropkicked down. Fulton goes to the top rope. The Fantastics hit the Rocket Launcher 1..2..3!!! BIG POP! The Fantastics retain their world tag team titles! Commercial Break 'The Russian Nightmare' Nikita Koloff vs. David Dalton Nikita hits the Russian Sickle and it's all over! WHAM! From behind, Nikita is attacked by Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami with Ray Stevens calling the shots. As Jumbo and Tatsumi pound away on Nikita, Col. Debeers comes strolling out. He's just twirling his mustache and watching. Stevens yells something. Jumbo and Tatsumi hoist Nikita up and double power bomb him down! Nikita is motionless as Jumbo and Tatsumi stand over him. Debeers looks on still twirling his mustache, then calmly walks away.
  22. Hey guys, sorry for holding things up. I traded my pick to WWF
  23. Halloween Havoc! Let's do this! I like the big push Manny is getting. Jones's Army wins the 6 man titles! This really is an awesome trio. 2 Cold and Poffo are two men who could really pull off a stretcher match. The visual at the end was incredible! Baby Doll earns her money and Christopher gives us another stunning visual to retain. YES! Tully and Arn are back in the NWA and have their sights set on the Road Warriors. Bring it on! Prichard gets the shot. Chaos ensues and then we get RIC FLAIR to end the show! WHOOOOO!!!! I loved the surprise returns! Looks like a Horsemen war is coming. Great stuff! The NWA is looking to end 89 on a super high note! I can't wait to see what's planned for Starrcade!
  24. Azul's getting tuned up for a LHW title shot. Well, I think the entire roster, especially the SCS now realize that Dutch is done playing around. The Blondes heel work comes up just a tad short against the Can Ams. Poor Starr No doubt about it, Gordy is ready for his shot. Wow, despite everything, Hart's not giving up on Austin. Seems the Playboy Club is getting serious about something, but the plans might not include Riggins. Vancouver, Windham picked the right opponent to get ready for the Terror. Southern Boys proved they're still one of the top teams in PCW. Williams dominates again. Poor Payne seems to be in a slump. Beetlejuice is toning things down a bit. I can't wait for the Pillman/Adams blow off. Man, the OWC have certainly proved their worth to Dibiase. Kelowna, An annoyed Busick still keeps his focus. I know Austin and Hart have a cage match coming, but Atlas and Jack might need one too LOL This is exactly what Dustin needed. With constant interference, Iron and Steel might be making some new enemies. Malenko and Guerrero are shaping up to be a contending team Midnights just barely hold on again. Is their time at the top coming to an end???
  25. You can always count on Rogers to get the fans riled up right away. Goto looks like a beast, which is the perfect way to build him up again. I always loved Lance bantering with the heels. This should be a fun little side feud with Tojo. You did a great job getting Embry over as a fired up babyface. After a year long reign as AWA tag champs, the Guerreros are looking for gold once again. Armstrong steals shoo baby and now we've got a full on feud. I'm liking DWB's gimmick here. Awesome job hyping the main event. Kerry Von Erich has arrived too even things up! With Lawler out for a while, Kerry will have no problem filling in on the main events. After what happened, I'm sure Hart will have a plan. Both Hayes and Buddy tell their sides. Get ready because a Freebird civil war has started!
