World Class Championship Wrestling: April 1986
Great show from the Sportatorium. Wow, Dirty Rhodes takes the Texas title, didn't see that coming but man how fitting to have him hold the Texas title. That reign should be a lot of fun. Looking forward to the Ice Man/Horner TV title match. Cornette's promo was classic. Midnights versus Fab Ones would get my money. Nice adding JYD into the Studd/Lawler feud, with Lawler as the Ref, who knows what will happen. Looks like the Von Erich's have a big obstacle in front of them before they clash with the Funks.

NWA World Wrestling Council April 1986
Love the light heavyweight tournament matches. Kobayashi and Lane tore it up with Kobayashi advancing. Candido is making some waves in the NWA and just comes up short against crowd favorite Santana but I think he's earned the respect of the PR fans. Great seeing Dutch Mantel back, doesn't seem like he's lost a step. Cant wait to see Bam Bam return, should be very interesting. The Owen Hart story continues to be one of my favorites. I think Chicky is in his ear big time. The April 19th card is stacked!

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling April 86
MACW @ WTBS Studios TV Aired 4-5-86 The show opens with Jim Crockett sitting in his office Jim: Hello to all the fans in Mid Atlantic. I must make the announcement that Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson have left Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling after failed negotiations. The Crockett's wish them the best of luck but as the saying goes, the show must go on and we feel that we will continue to give our great fans the best in ring action, the NWA and Mid Atlantic have to offer. On that note, the United States title is now vacant. To fill that vacancy, we have decided to hold 2 battle royals, one this weekend in Norfolk VA and the other next weekend in Greenville SC. The winners of each battle royal will meet at the Clash of Champions, Spring Spectacular on April 20th at the Philadelphia Civic Center. Mid Atlantic is looking forward to the 2 day Spring Spectacular event. The Baltimore Civic Center will host part 1 on April 19th and as mentioned the Philadelphia Civic Center will host part 2 on April 20th. In Baltimore, NWA world champ, Rick Martel has signed to defend the title. On tonight's program Television Champion Tom Prichard will face Terry Taylor and the winner will face Rick Martel for the world title. We know that the great Mid Atlantic fans will help make this event a huge success. Thank you for your support. Live in the Studio Schiavone: Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of Mid Atlantic championship wrestling. Unfortunately David Crockett is away on business today and will not be by my side. Well, you heard the announcement, today's main event will be TV Champ Tom Prichard taking on Terry Taylor and the winner will face Rick Martel for the NWA world title on April 19th at the Spring Spectacular. The fans boo as JJ Dillon walks out to the podium. Schiavone: JJ, I'm actually surprised to see you out here today. JJ: Tony Schiavone, it was inevitable this was going to happen. The NWA and Bob Geigel had it in for the Horsemen from the start. I hope they're happy with themselves. Now, as for me, don't you worry, I adjust and I adapt. Right now I would like to address one Ole Anderson. After Ole's shoulders were pinned in Greensboro and the Road Warriors walked out with the titles, everybody saw what that ungrateful, bitter and selfish man did. He punched me out! Ole Anderson, you were always the weak link of the 4 Horsemen. That was proved in Greensboro. Ole, you are way past your prime and need to be in a retirement home. I said that a long time ago, but the other guys took pity on you. I went along with it because I knew they would be able to carry you and let me tell you, their backs got sore from doing that. So, after everything I did for Ole, all my loyalty, all the beatings I took for him, he thanks me with a punch. Ole, you my friend are going to pay dearly for that and I'm going to take personal satisfaction in seeing you suffer. Ole Anderson walks out....to some cheers???? Ole: You just stand there and keep your mouth shut, you no talent leech. Let me tell you something Dillon, I've been knocking guys like you out for 2 decades and I'm really close to knocking you out right now. JJ: Typical Ole. You know Ole, you're not just a bully but you're a downright loser! Ole grabs JJ by his collar and starts shaking him back and forth. All of a sudden, Ole is nailed from behind by King Kong Bundy!!!!! Bundy grabs Ole and throws him into the ring. Bundy body slams Ole then picks him up and swings him into the turnbuckles and charges in for a corner splash! Ole staggers forward and drops. Bundy drags him to the center of the ring, swings back off the ropes and hits a Splash! Officials come out to help Ole. JJ leads Bundy to the podium. JJ: (Smiling and straightening his collars) Tony Schiavone, remember, I adjust, I adapt. I would like to introduce you to my newest client, King Kong Bundy. Bundy stands in front of the camera with his hands on his hips, sporting a menacing look. Commercial Break Schiavone: Fans, I don't know what to say. Ole was taken to the Hospital. Wow, King Kong Bundy aligning himself with JJ Dillon can only be destruction. Fans, lets go to the ring. Polynesian Power (Selinga and Sakalia) vs. Jason Jones and Carl Hillman The fans seem to have taken a liking to Polynesian Power as they swing Jones to the ropes and nail him with a double super kick. Sakalia hoists Jones up and drops him with the Samoan Drop, Tui fly's off the top rope and crashes down with a flying elbow drop to get the pin! Schiavone: Great win for Polynesian Power. Ok fans, you all heard the news about the upcoming battle royals, with the winners facing off on April 20 in Philly to determine the new US Champ. Battle Royal 1 takes place this Saturday Night in Norfolk. Be there! Now, please welcome out Mark Youngblood. Mark, it seems you have had some issues with the Cobra and the Assassins. Mark: Tony, you saw what the Cobra did to my brother and until I get proper payback, this isn't over. I cant get payback because the Assassins keep interfering. Well, the last time they tried that, the one and only Mil Mascaras saved the day. It seems Mil wanted some payback on the Assassins. Well, since we both want the same thing, on April 19th in Baltimore, I'm going to team with Mil and we are going to take on the Assassins! Assassins, you better gear up for a fight and Cobra when we take care of them, you're next! Commercial Break "The Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol vs. Tim Straw Idol swings Straw to the ropes and knocks him down with a back elbow smash. Idol grabs Straw's leg then drops an elbow. Idol clamps on the Las Vegas Leglock (Figure Four) and gets the submission victory! Idol heads to the podium. Idol: Tony, I'm in the battle royal baby, because the toast of the coast is here to win gold, daddy! Idol gives the camera a right arm bicep pose and wink. Schiavone: The Universal Heartthrob Austin Idol, back to the ring. Caspian Empire vs. Dave Penson and Gary Williams Sheik hits a gut wrench suplex on Williams then tags in Smirnoff. Smirnoff hits a back breaker then rolls Williams over, gets up on the 2nd turnbuckle and drops a knee to the back and tags in Sheik. Sheik applies the Camel Clutch and gets the submission victory! They head to the podium. Smirnoff: We proved why we are the most dominant team in the NWA! Nobody can stop us! We saw that Polynesian Power earlier and if they think they will rise the ranks, think again because we will put an end to that! Sheik: That's right! Polynesian Power (spits) you're just like these stupid Americans, you have no class and we will send you back to where you came from! Caspian Empire number one! Commercial Break "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Johnny Rich w/Paul Jones These two have been going at it lately and today is no different. They exchange blows and Rich stops it with an eye rake and kick. Rich suplexes Valiant back and follows with an elbow drop but Valiant kicks out. Valiant gets his dancing going and bites the forehead of Rich then body slams him. Valiant gets the crowd fired up. He picks Rich up for a suplex but Jones hits Valiant's knee with the cane! The Ref didn't see it and counts 1..2..3! The fans boo as Jones raises Rich's arm in victory. Schiavone: Another cheap win courtesy of Paul Jones's cane. Fans with me right now is Sweet Brown Sugar Skip Young. Skip, I understand your partner Norvell Austin is gone. Sugar: That's right Tony, Norvell has left Mid Atlantic so the Soul Patrol is no longer a team. But Sweet Brown Sugar is standing right here and I'm ready to climb the single's ladder. I'm here to say I'm gunning for the US title in the battle royal and I'm making the most of that opportunity brother! Commercial Break Jimmy Valiant limps out to the podium. Valiant: You just cant help yourself, can you Paul Jones! Real tough guy with that cane, aren't you! (Smiles) I've got a big smile because my voice was heard and a wish was granted. Because of your constant interfering, at the Spring Spectacular, it will be me and Paul Jones, one on one Jack! The fans roar. Schiavone: (Laughing) Oh my! I wish I could see the look on Paul's face right now. Fans back to the ring. Rocky Johnson and "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley vs. Roger Murphy and Lou Simms Johnson has the crowd cheering as he fires away on Simms, then swings him to the ropes and back drops him. Cooley comes in and hip tosses Simms to his corner. Murphy comes in and is dropkicked into the turnbuckles. Murphy staggers forward, Cooley picks him up and runs with him then drops him with the Oklahoma Stampede. Cooley tags in Johnson. Johnson swings off the ropes and lands a jumping elbow drop for the pin! Schiavone: Great win for the team of Rocky Johnson and Wendell Cooley as they climb the tag team ranks. The fans boo as The Stud Stable walk out wearing glitter robes with feathered collars. Golden: Nobody wants to hear about a couple bottom feeders like Johnson and Cooley! Fuller: Jimmy is right, now Tony Schiavone, you know as well as I do, everybody wants to hear from the United States Tag Team Champions, the Stud Stable. You like our new robes? You see, we've been champions for quite some time and when your champs, well your making a whole lot of money. Golden: (laughing) A lot of money! Fuller: So we thought we would spend some of our hard earned money and treat ourselves to these nice robes here. Now lets talk business. This young hot shot team, I believe they call themselves, Hot Property has earned themselves a title shot against us at the Spring Spectacular. Well boys, I'm afraid you don't have a chance because, well, you're just not on the same level as the Stud Stable. Commercial Break Jim Davidson is waiting in the ring when he's nailed from behind by Tiger Jeet Singh! Schiavone: Oh no, not again! Singh pummels away on Davidson then starts hitting him with the sword until he busts him open. Officials and wrestlers run in to stop him. Singh swings his sword around like a madman! Commercial Break Schiavone: Trainers are attending to Jim Davidson in the back. Fans, with me right now is Tiger Jeet Singh. Mr. Singh, your despicable actions have been noticed. I've been informed that you will not be allowed to participate in the US title battle royals. You will also be severely fined for your actions. One more thing, it seems like you want a fight, so that has been arranged. On April 19th at the Spring Spectacular in Baltimore, you will have a match and you will be facing a man you know well, Antonio Inoki! Singh: (Pauses) Is that suppose to intimidate me? If there is one man I hate more than anybody in this world it is Antonio Inoki! For the last 10 years I have beaten that man senseless and now you want me to fight him here, in this country. The blood of Antonio Inoki will be on your hands! Schiavone: Fans, I have witnessed some of their matches and I'm afraid there will be blood in that one. Fans, lets go to the ring as Hacksaw Jim Duggan makes his way out. Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Lloyd London The fans are on their feet as Duggan swings London to the ropes and shoulder tackles him to the ground. Duggan backs up and gets in his 3 point stance. London staggers up and Duggan charges in and puts him down with the clothesline to get the pin! Duggan goes to the podium. Duggan: Hacksaw Duggan is fighting in the battle royal and after I win that I'm taking that US strap! I told you I'm here to fight the best and what fight is better than a battle royal. Duggan leaves and American Made walk in. Kirchner: Tony, we're out here to say American Made has been on a roll and no doubt we are the team to beat! Kernodle: Hey the bottom line is we want a shot at the US tag titles and we will achieve that by any means necessary! And I mean by any means! Kirchner: I think what Don is trying to say is we have proven that we should be in line for a title shot and that we deserve it. Kernodle: Look Kirch, we go back a long way and I came here to team with you because we are proven winners. Damn right we deserve a title shot, the question is, why have we been overlooked? I mean we can beat Hot Property, why are they ahead of us? Kirchner: Don, I know you're fired up and I like that. Be patient buddy, we'll get our shot. Kernodle: Ok, Ok, but Kirch, I'm just about out of patience. Kirchner pats him on the shoulder and says something, then they walk out together. Commercial Break Blackjack Mulligan vs. Ken Jenkins Mulligan swings Jenkins to the ropes and hits a flying back elbow smash. Mulligan drops a couple knees on Jenkins's head then clamps on the claw! Mulligan wrenches it on and gets the submission win! Mulligan cuts a promo on Jimmy Snuka and says he doesn't care how hard his head is, he wont be able to withstand the claw! After Mulligan leaves, Tony St. Clair comes out to the podium. Schiavone: Tony, you have something to say in regards to Billy Robinson. St. Clair: Well, Billy once again gets by the rules and beats me again with the help of a chair. Billy! Enough is enough! At the Spring Spectacular, it will be you and me in a No Disqualification Match! You want to bend the rules? Well that's fine because in this match I can bend all the rules I want and believe me, I'm going to relish this match. Commercial Break "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff vs. Louis Campos Orndorff dives off the turnbuckles and hits Campos with a forearm drop. Orndorff swings Campos to the ropes and hits a diving knee. The crowd goes crazy as Orndorff makes the signal then picks Campos up and crashes him down with the piledriver! Orndorff counts along with the Ref 1..2..3! Orndorff heads to the podium. Schiavone: Outstanding win Mr. Wonderful. I've been informed that the match is signed for the Spring Spectacular. You will be facing Harley Race for the Mid Atlantic title. However that might change because both you and Harley will be involved in the US title battle royals. Orndorff: You know Tony, it just doesn't feel right that Mr. Wonderful isn't carrying around some gold. Well, now I get a shot at some serious gold. I'm here to be on top and the top is where I'm going to be. Harley Race, you put me down with your version of the piledriver, but you didn't put me out. I guarantee, my piledriver will put you down and out! Schiavone: Strong words from Mr. Wonderful, fans you wont want to miss these battle royals. When we come back, Prichard versus Taylor with a NWA World title shot at stake. Taylor drop kicks Prichard into the turnbuckles. Prichard staggers forward and Taylor hits the Jaw Breaker and covers 1..2..NO! Prichard gets his foot on the rope. Taylor continues to control until he swings Prichard to the ropes and attempts a drop kick but Prichard holds on to the ropes and Taylor crashes down. Prichard regroups and stomps away on Taylor then drops a jumping knee. Prichard hits a vertical suplex and follows with an elbow drop and cover 1..2..Taylor kicks out. Prichard waits for Taylor to rise then connects with a super kick. Prichard takes Taylor to the turnbuckles and hoists him up. Prichard hops up on the 2nd turnbuckle and executes a superplex! WWF on Tour April 1986
WHOOOOOO! The debut of all debuts! Man that was epic!!! The 4 Horsemen with Bobby Heenan is just to good to be true. I love the angle here with Hogan winning at WrestleMania is the reason the Horsemen are here. That was brilliant. How will Hogan respond to all of this??? This is a true game changer here.

NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling April 1986
I've said this before and I'll say it again. I love the different kinds of matches you put out there on house shows. Borne and Gilbert teaming up against the Creatchman Family is so much fun. Benoit teaming with Danny Davis to get a big win over Tonga and Charland. Then the fans get a huge bonus with that incredible 6 man tag. Without giving away to much in MACW, you did an awesome job in setting the tone. On top of all this we get a Gordy title defense and a Martel/Abdullah NWA title rematch. Great card!

NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling April 1986
LOL! The Adorable One is born! That was a fantastic build to this character. Big win for Candido! Really cool debut of the Swarm, looks like a career rejuvenation. Invader 1 comes to Lutte and gets an impressive win over "The Fish". I wonder what Creatchman really signed LOL.

Japan Wrestling Association April 1986

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling News Without a doubt, the biggest and most shocking news in MACW, was the departure of United States Champion, Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson!!!! Yes, 3 of the 4 Horsemen have left MACW and the NWA all together. As reported, for the last few months, the 3 men had money issues with the Crockett's. On top of that Flair had a major problem with President Bob Geigel in regards to his rematch for the NWA World Title. While, Tully had problems with the Crockett's on how he was being used, even resulting in a no show in Wheeling. While Arn was upset over the fact that him and Ole had to drop the NWA tag titles. He felt it was a punishment by Bob Geigel. It was reported that the Crockett's had a big meeting with the 3 men a couple days before the big Greensboro show. They offered the 3 men a new deal and basically the result was, it was to late. The key factor was Vince McMahon himself as he opened up his pocket book and his arms in welcoming Flair, Tully and Arn to the WWF. The deal was said to be monumental. After all this was spilled out in that meeting, believe it or not the Crockett's ended the meeting with handshakes and told Flair, Arn and Tully, they would always be welcomed back. They fulfilled their obligations in Greensboro and headed North. The Crockett's know this will be a tremendous loss to the territory and will be hard for the fans. They also know this will affect attendance in the arenas. However, they know this is a business and the show must go on. Sources say they were scrambling to bring in some top talent. One huge name they want is King Kong Bundy. The Crockett's have made a generous offer to Bundy both financially and positioning. Bundy was very keen on the deal and could be arriving very soon. The Crockett's also made calls to Rick Rude and Manny Fernandez and want to bring them in as a team, which is exactly what Rude and Fernandez wanted. Sources say preliminary conversations have gone well. There are major rumors that the Crockett's have their eye on another huge super star and they plan on presenting him with the biggest deal in MACW history. This is all the information on this, as the Crockett's are keeping this deal pretty air tight. In regards to Ole Anderson, he said he would never work for Vince McMahon and will stay in the NWA until his career is over. Flair, Arn and Tully leaving is a huge void but the Crockett's are confident that they can fill the void and get MACW back on track with the new talent coming in. It appears Norvell Austin has left MACW. Norvell had been upset that the Soul Patrol were being pushed down the card and then the Crockett's wanted to split them up and have Sweet Brown Sugar go over in the feud. Norvell saw the writing on the wall and decided to leave. As for Sweet Brown Sugar Skip Young, he will be getting a singles push. Look for a bit of revamping in the Paul Jones Army in the coming weeks. Once again, back to Ric Flair. Since Flair was US champion at the time of his departure, the title is now vacant. An announcement will be made on TV that there will be 2 battle royals held, with the winners of each battle royal facing off on April 20th at the Philadelphia Civic Center. The winner will be declared the new United States Champion. Speaking of that, The Clash of Champions: Spring Spectacular will take place in two different venues on two different nights. Part 1 will be in the Baltimore Civic Center on April 19th, where Rick Martel will defend the NWA World Title in the main event. Part 2 will take place on April 20th at the Philadelphia Civic Center. With Flair, Arn and Tully departing, the Crockett's hope that bringing in Stan Hansen, Mil Mascaras and Antonio Inoki along with the NWA World Champ will help ease things over with the fans and make this card a big success. Word is the cameras will be rolling as some big things are in the works.

NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling April 1986
Martel with a great win over Abdullah! This just proves that Martel can go with anybody, which is why he makes such a great world champ. Great seeing Hot Stuff pop up here. Regal and Davis put on a crowd pleasing match. Yea, Keith Hart over Tonga is definitely a confidence booster for Hart. Satanico and MS-1 continue their fun feud. I know that's heading for something big. Once again, great job with booking outside talent. That's a real bonus for the fans.

AWA results for March 1986
Couple of outstanding cards. Spivey continues his rise to super star status. Larry Z seems to be making a comeback with Saito as his partner. Peterson and Gaylord continue to impress in the tag team ranks as Tom Zenk continues to move up the singles ranks. Black Irish are looking dominant. I like the Kabuki/Blackwell feud as both seem to be trading count out wins, which I'm sure is setting up for a big blow off. Piper gets a classic heel Piper victory over Jake. That 8 man tag would of given me my money's worth, man that looked insane. Cobra Corps might be in line for a tag title shot now. Tanaka and Adams put on a classic. I really like how you balance your cards out. Something for everybody.

UNIVERSAL WRESTLING FEDERATION (UWF)
Lots of great stuff happening in the UWF! I also liked the highlights at the beginning. Oh man, Midnight Express/Fab Ones, RnR/Nightmares, Devastation/Road Warriors, Jarrett and Armstrong/Blondes. Your tag team division is absolutely on fire! Rich and Gilbert will be a wild feud. Great set up for Wahoo and Nikita and adding Magnum in the equation is great booking. I have a feeling Pez will be leaving soon but on the other hand he might get some help from Reed. Very interesting situation there. Wow! Murdoch goes to the dark side. Murdoch makes a very dangerous heel. Looks like Candy might have some strong allies backing him up. One of the best things about Fantasy is we get to see a feud like Dr. D and Luger. I like that Baby Doll will be in the middle of this. I love how everybody on your roster is involved one way or another in some great feuds. That all equals money flowing in the UWF.

Wild West Wrestling April 1986
Great first round. It looked like Lance and Jimmy Jack were the brawl of the night. Young guns like Hall, Price, Candido and Simpson had strong wins. Of course watch out for the vet of the bunch, Mr. Wrestling 2. Cant wait for Long Riders and Nasty Boys.
-
Japan Wrestling Association April 1986
OMG! With that star power, the main event was insane!!!! Good grief! I would of went crazy for Brody and Hansen, then Hogan and Andre come out! That was awesome! I really like how you add stats and backgrounds to the wrestlers. Mutoh looked strong here and it made perfect sense for Tiger Mask to get the finish. Even going down in defeat, OMG, Bossman and Bam Bam make one heck of a monster team. Power Rush is looking dominant. I would love to see them face off with NWA champs, the Road Warriors. Tenryu and Hara really took it to Danger Zone. I liked how you opened the show with some hard hitting, fast paced matches to get the crowd going before the heavy hitters came on. Well booked and balanced card. The fans got their money's worth tonight.

AWA results for March 1986
AWA keeps its momentum going! Gaylord and Peterson are on the rise even going toe to toe with Blackwell and Patera. I like the singles push of Tom Zenk. I really think he could be a future super star. Pillman seems to be on fire with Rotunda and Simmons around. Sheepherders are having a good AWA run. Piper's Pit and the Snakepit are heading for one brutal showdown. After getting distracted on TV, Rocky Mountain Thunder come back with a good win at the Met Center. Ron Garvin has definitely made an impact. Yes! Steamboat and Bock! Great match and a great set up for future encounters.

World Class Championship Wrestling: March 1986
I agree with Kev, your summary form didn't skip a beat! Embry still cracks me up, and what's funny is he usually ends up being right LOL. Man I cant wait for that Funk/Von Erich showdown. The Onyx Express are now official number one contenders. Lots of great evenly matched tag teams here. Tim Horner is really getting into a groove as TV champ. Jacques has really looked good, defending his title across the NWA, big win over Kamala. Love this feud between Lawler and Studd. Wow! If there was ever a team to hold the NWA 6 man titles, it's the Freebirds! Big title change in Texas and looks like we might get a battle of the Bam Bam's. WCCW continues to keep me on the edge of my seat week every single week.

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling- March 86
Thanks for the feedback guys. Lowblow, great story about your Grandma and Robinson. Even though he's in the later years of his career here, I always thought he could still go. Yea, I'm excited to have Orndorff and I have some huge plans for him as a main event guy. I'm really going to try and get Austin Idol over big time. LOL, I thought having him beat Tully with his own finisher would be a great way to get him over in Greensboro (which is the heart and soul of MACW). Also happy to do a huge title change and cant wait to see the reign of the Road Warriors. I have been looking forward to doing a Flair/Race match since December. So glad I got to do that.

United States Title Bout Ric Flair © w/JJ Dillon vs. Mid Atlantic Champ Harley Race There was a few minute intermission as trainers had to help JJ out of there. Once again JJ is not with his Horsemen for the match. All it took was a classic stare down between Flair and Race for the crowd to became rejuvenated. Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling- March 86
MACW @ WTBS Studios TV aired 3-29-86 Schiavone: Hello again everybody and welcome to another edition of Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling, with me as always is David Crockett. Big show tonight David as the 4 Horsemen will be in the ring in an 8 man tag team match. David: That's right Tony, a rare television moment indeed. Also tonight, the Fabulous Blondes will take on Hot Property and the winners will get a US tag team title match. Schiavone: Speaking of the US tag titles, the champs, the Stud Stable will be in action. Also wrestling tonight will be Mid Atlantic champ Harley Race, Bob Backlund, Mark Youngblood, the Assassins, Jimmy Snuka and Terry Taylor. David: And don't forget, the Great One David Sammartino will be in the ring and also has something to say. We also have news on the big Greensboro card this weekend as well as our big Spring Spectacular cards that will take place on April 19th and 20th. Well hey, lets get to the action. Terry Taylor vs. Lou Simms Taylor works over Simms then takes him up and over with a suplex. Taylor drops some knees and hits a jawbreaker. Taylor swings Simms to the ropes and hits the flying 5 arm for the pin! David: Big win for Taylor as he looks to regain the TV title. Fans, with me right now is Billy Robinson. Billy, you have a match in Greensboro with Tony St. Clair and if you get disqualified you will be suspended. Billy: Once again that phony St. Clair calls in favors to you and your brother. He's just hiding the fact that I'm the superior wrestler. I've outwrestled him numerous times and it's been proven, that I am the greatest wrestler from the UK. St. Clair, in Greensboro this stipulation wont help you because I'm going to hurt and punish you with nothing but sheer wrestling submission holds. You're going to be begging for your life and then I'm going to hurt you more and more. Commercial Break US Tag Team Champs The Stud Stable vs. Carl Hillman and Vic DeMarco Fuller and Golden work over their opponents with body slams, clotheslines and a double suplex. Fuller picks up Hillman and drops him with a shoulder breaker then tags in Golden. Fuller holds Hillman as Golden jumps off the top rope and crashes down on Hillman's shoulder with a knee. Golden covers and gets the pin! Schiavone: The Stud Stable shows why they're are the US tag champs. Fans, with me right now is the Soul Patrol, Norvell Austin and Sweet Brown Sugar. Well guys, it looks like things have been tense between you two. Norvell: You know Tony, yea we've been in a bit of a slump lately and my temper may have gotten the best of me. Sugar: Hey, we're like brothers and things happen and fights happen, but in the end we're both on the same page. Norvell: And we both want to be champions. So get ready Mid Atlantic cuz the Soul Patrol is back on track! Sugar: And in sync baby! Commercial Break Mark Youngblood vs. Tim Straw Youngblood chops Straw down then swings him to the ropes and follows with a running boot to the face. Straw staggers forward and falls. Youngblood body slams him then goes out on the apron and hits the Sling Shot Splash for the pin! Mark acknowledges the cheering fans then heads to the podium. David: Great win Mark, I understand you have something to say. Mark: Yes I do David. The last time I met the Cobra in the ring, the Assassins came in and attacked me. Well, I get a rematch with the Cobra in Greensboro this weekend and Assassins, if you interfere, well, you'll find out what happens. As for you Cobra, this doesn't end until I get sufficient payback for my brother. Bob Backlund vs. Steve Ramsey Backlund works over Ramsey with some great mat wrestling. Backlund swings Ramsey to the ropes and back drops him. Backlund hoists Ramsey up and hits him with a running Atomic Drop for the pin! Commercial Break Mid Atlantic Champ Harley Race vs. Aaron Arbuckle Race executes a vertical suplex, then follows with a swinging neckbreaker then finishes Arbuckle off with the Piledriver! Race grabs his title and heads to the podium. Schiavone: Good win tonight Harley but I have to ask, what were your motives in attacking Paul Orndorff last week? Race: It's simple and that is David Sammartino is absolutely right in what he said. Paul Orndorff just strolls right into Mid Atlantic and gets everything handed to him on a silver platter. He gets an entry in the Johnny Rougeau Memorial Cup, well that doesn't matter because I'm winning that Cup! Orndorff also goes around using my Piledriver! That's my move and I proved that last week by putting you down with it! Now, switching gears, I get a US title match in Greensboro against my old friend Ric Flair. Flair at the end of the night I'll be holding up both titles and Orndorff, if you want to do something about what I did to you then step into the ring and try! Schiavone: Ok strong words from the Mid Atlantic champion. Back to the ring for tag team action. Assassins w/The Assassin vs. Jim Davidson and Gary Williams Assassins tear apart their opponents with stomps, knee drops and punches. The Assassins hit a double stomach breaker on Williams. Assassin 1 body slams Williams then tags Assassin 2, who comes off the top rope with a flying knee drop to get the pin! The Assassin raises their arms in victory as the crowd boos. They head to the podium. Assassin: Mark Youngblood, you better watch who your threatening. My Assassins can do whatever they want and nobody will stop them! Now, in Greensboro you're going to end up just like your weak brother...out of commission, courtesy of the Cobra. Commercial Break Jimmy Snuka vs. Roger Murphy Snuka swings Murphy to the ropes and takes him down with a chop. Snuka hits a diving headbutt then goes outside and climbs to the top rope. The fans roar as Snuka flashes the 'I Love You" sign. Snuka dives off and hits the splash for the pin! The fans cheer as Snuka heads to the podium. David: Great win Jimmy, well it looks like Blackjack Mulligan seems to have a problem with you. Jimmy: You know brotha, Mulligan attacked me and gave me a beating. I know it was the Stud Stable that was behind this. Brotha, I will take care of all of them. The fans boo as the Stud Stable and Mulligan walk out. Fuller: You know boy, you are throwing around some serious accusations. Do you really think a man like Blackjack Mulligan needs any kind of incentive to beat down somebody? Jimmy Golden, what do you think? Golden: You think we set this up? Well guess what? Who cares! So what if we did? What is a low down barrel licking swine like you gonna do about it? Mulligan: Nothing! That's what. You want me Snuka, then come on! Fuller: (laughing) Well boy, looks like you in for quite a beating right now. Any last words? Snuka: Yes, I've got something for him (points to Mulligan) and I've got something for the two of you. Snuka hits Mulligan! The crowd cheers as two islanders run out and hammer away on the Stud Stable! Snuka and his friends send the Stud Stable and Mulligan fleeing. Snuka and friends go to the podium. Snuka: David, let me introduce you to a tag team from Hawaii and friends of mine. This is Tui Selinga and Super Samoan Sakalia, Polynesian Power. David, brotha, these guys are here to make a splash in Mid Atlantic and I think they just did. Commercial Break Alex Portman is in the ring awaiting his opponent. Schiavone: Oh no! Not again! He's not Portman's opponent. Tiger Jeet Singh charges the ring and beats up Portman with his sword. Singh pounds away and busts Portman open. Singh keeps pounding away until wrestlers from the back come out. Singh starts swinging his sword like a madman, hitting several wrestlers as they try to stop him. Officials come out and warn Singh. Commercial Break Schiavone: Another brutal attack by Tiger Jeet Singh. I have no idea what his intentions are here in Mid Atlantic but I'm sure he will be dealt with by officials. Alex Portman is being attended to by Medics, as well as several other wrestlers who were injured trying to help. Wow, ok, lets go to the ring. "The Great One" David Sammartino vs. Lloyd London David spends an equal amount of time wrestling and arguing with the fans. David hits London with a backbreaker then lifts him up and clamps on a bearhug to get the submission! David yells at the fans as he walks to the podium. Schiavone: Ok, David, I know you have something to say. David: Yes I do! Everybody saw Mr. Blunderful cheat his way to a historical upset last week. Well I demanded a rematch and got it! That's right, this weekend in Greensboro, I'm going to finish off Mr. Blunderful once and for all. As a matter of fact, if he was here right now, I would slap his stupid face. Schiavone: You know he's not here, but he'll be in Greensboro. David: Oh Tony, I'm so scared. I want to apologize to Harley Race, because after I'm finished with Blunderful, there will be nothing left for Harley. Schiavone: Oh brother, fans when we come back, Hot Property takes on the Fabulous Blondes. Commercial Break Hot Property vs. The Fabulous Blondes w/Rock Riddle Hot Property starts off with fire as they hip toss and drop kick the Blondes all over the place. The Blondes regroup and take control as Crews hits Travis with a knee from behind. Timbs follows with a back suplex. The Blondes double team Travis in the corner as Crews chokes and Timbs hammers away with knees. Savoldi has enough and runs over. Savoldi grabs Timbs from behind and suplexes him back. Crews runs in and gets back dropped. Travis regroups. Hot Property swings Crews to the ropes and hits the Double Hot Shot! Travis covers 1..2..NO! Tom Prichard runs in and attacks Travis! Tom stomps away but the crowd cheers as Terry Taylor runs in and pounds away on Prichard! Prichard rakes the eyes, swings Taylor to the ropes, misses a clothesline and Taylor swings back and hits the flying 5 Arm! Prichard flies out of the ring as Hot Property drop kick the Blondes to the outside. Taylor and Hot Property soak in the cheers as Riddle is trying to help his Agency on the outside. David: What a match and due to the disqualification, Hot Property will receive a shot at the US tag champions in the near future. Ok fans as we mentioned at the top of the program, Mid Atlantic will present Clash of the Champions: Spring Spectacular, on the weekend of April 19th and 20th. Part 1 will take place at the Baltimore Civic Center on April 19th and Part 2 will take place at the Philadelphia Civic Center on April 20th. One big spectacular, two outstanding cards. The 4 Horsemen stand tall in the ring as JJ stands by with a huge arrogant smile. Flair holds up the US title as the Andersons hold up the tag titles. They all head to the podium. JJ: You know the drill David Crockett, when the Horsemen are in front of the cameras, you take a hike. Tell them boys. Tully: Austin Idol, you have been nothing but a mediocre fish in small ponds. You're in the big time now boy and in Greensboro I'm going to give you the wrestling lesson of a lifetime. Hey, don't worry, years from now, you'll be sitting in a bar and you can tell everybody how you once wrestled Tully Blanchard. Arn: Road Warriors, you get one last shot in Greensboro, but the results will be the same. You heading back to Watts land with your heads hanging in shame and the Andersons walking out holding these titles high. You're both delusional if you think the result will be any different. Ole: Look, I've said everything already. In Greensboro we're going to show those no talented muscle heads what tag team wrestling is all about. These guys can yell and scream and put on scary face paint but none of that will help them when the Wrecking Crew breaks their legs. Then they'll be screaming all right. Flair: WHOOOO! I've said it before and I'll say it again. You're looking at the most premier dominant wrestling group in the world today! Nobody else even compares. When you're talk'n wrestling, you're talk'n 4 Horsemen! When we hold up these 4 fingers, then you know you all are looking at the true symbol of excellence. WHOO! Diamonds are forever and so are the 4 Horsemen! Now speaking of excellence, your looking at the greatest champion in wrestling today. Ask Magnum TA, ask Raymond Rougeau, ask Kevin Von Erich, they'll all agree. Now, Harley Race, old friend, you and me, WHOOOO, one more time in Greensboro! The 4 Horsemen are going to ride high in Greensboro and then we are going to party alllll night long, WHOOOO, like only the 4 Horsemen can. They all hold up 4 fingers as the show ends.

WWF Presents: WrestleMania II
After months of building and anticipation running wild, WrestleMania 2 goes above and beyond all expectations! One Man Gang starts the show off winning the Battle Royal and then a program is set up with him and Bull. 6 man tag was fun as Santana gets the pin. Hennig gets a big win to solidify him as a contender. Billy Jack shows off his incredible strength by power slamming Bundy! Hart Foundation win the tag titles! I'm sure they're going to have a great run. Good grief, Andre and Hansen was a brawl! Andre might have won the match but Hansen gave him one heck of a fight. Savage/Windham was a classic! I could just imagine the heat during that match. Windham wins the IC title. I always thought Barry would of made a great IC champ, glad it happened here. The main event blew the roof off the place! I'm sure Bossman got a good bonus for that awesome bump he took from Fridge. Dibiase has the title an inch within his grasp but once again the power of Hulkamania prevails. Awesome job!

NWA Lutte Internationale March 1986
Oh snap! What a card! Liked the mixed tag match. Benoit scores a major upset over Mascaras! Man that's big! I also like the Poisson push. Warrior versus Vachon is such an intriguing match up. Borne wins the TV title! I didn't see that coming and yea I bet Adonis is losing his mind. I cant wait to see where this leads.

WWF on Tour March 1986
Fun card at MSG and really sets the tone for Mania 2. I would of paid top dollar to witness Hogan and Andre clashing with Dibiase and Hansen. Savage with a huge win over Bundy, he's ready for Windham. Love the team of Windham/Rude and Fernandez, that match against hennig, Tonga and Sting would of had the crowd on their feet. The tag team elimination match would of been off the charts.
