After that display, Miyato's luck is changing for the better. Funaki fights a smart match and it pays off. Smiley and Fleming give the fans a grappling clinic. Man, I thought Fleming had this, but that Smiley is very crafty. Fujiwara edges out Yamazaki. These guys are very evenly matched. Maybe a rematch in the future. I liked the tag team concept. Pretty fresh and interesting. That Gordeau knows how to fight dirty, but it came back to bite him. The Koslowski brothers are for real. WOW! Big win for Nakamura as he defeats the teacher. The dragon suplex by Takada sets up Vrij's defeat. Impressive move. Nielsen came to fight and gave Maeda a few scares. Maeda pulls it out and definitely sends the fans home happy. Gutsy performance by Nielsen. I would say the UWF will be booking the NK Hall again.

AWA Title Night The Mecca in Milwaukee 11-18-88 Ken Resnick: Hello everybody and welcome to another AWA Title Night. Four huge title matches along with a number one contender's match. Enough talk'n, let's get to the ring. AWA National Tag Team Title Bout Badd Co. (C) w/Baby Doll vs. The Gunslingers Badd Co makes the mistake of trying to trade fists with the Gunslingers. As a result the Gunslingers spend the opening minutes giving Badd Co a pounding. Thanks to a trip by Baby Doll, Badd Co controls the next segment by combining rule breaking and double team maneuvers but can't put the Gunslingers away. Casey finally makes the hot tag and Mantel puts the Gunslingers back in control. That ends with yet another distraction from Baby Doll. Badd Company turn it up a notch when Diamond chokes Mantel on the bottom rope, holds his legs as Tanaka leapfrogs over for a body guillotine, but Mantel stays alive. The crowd explodes as Mantel eventually dives over and tags in Casey. Casey cleans house but it's not long before all four men are in the ring. Badd Co takes control as Diamond holds Casey. Winner of the match- Jumbo Tsuruta AWA Mid-American Title Bout 'The Living Legend' Larry Zbyszko (C) vs. 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff Zbyszko tries his stalling tactics but Orndorff catches him quick and proceeds to pinball Zbyszko all over the ring. Zbyszko's a bumping machine as Orndorff rocks his world. It's clear that Zbyszko's totally off his game tonight. Orndorff gives Zbyszko a high back drop. Zbyszko bounces around and rolls out of the ring. The fans laugh as Zbyszko tries to stand but falls back down. A frustrated Zbyszko grabs his title and starts to walk away. Orndorff runs out after him but Zbyszko turns around and clocks Orndorff with the title. The Ref signals for the DQ. BOOOOOOOOO! Zbyszko then picks up Orndorff and delivers a swinging neckbreaker on the concrete for good measure. More BOOOOOOOOOS! Winner of the Match by DQ- Paul Orndorff. However, the title does not change hands on a DQ AWA World Tag Team Title Bout The Guerreros (C) vs. Coast to Coast Both teams are on their A games tonight as the momentum shifts back and forth. Both teams show unity and chemistry as they display impressive tag team work. Guerreros use their speed and experience while Coast to Coast bend the rules but also pull out some top notch double team moves. The match is a 20 minute thrill ride with both teams going all out. Eventually everybody is in the ring. The Ref allows some leniency as the teams go at it. Coast to Coast get the advantage and swing the Guerreros to the ropes and go for stereo back drops, but Hector kicks Tatum as Chavo sunset flips over Victory 1..2..3! The fans are up and cheering. Winners of the Match and STILL AWA World Tag Team Champs- The Guerreros AWA WORLD TITLE BOUT 'The Russian Nightmare' Nikita Koloff (C) vs. Sgt. Slaughter The tension is at an all time high as Nikita and Slaughter have an intense stare down during the introductions. As the bell rings Slaughter nails Nikita with a forearm blast. Nikita goes off with punches and kicks. Nikita swings Slaughter into the opposite corner and runs in with a knee to Slaughter's mid section. Nikita grabs Slaughter and overhead suplexes him out of the corner. Nikita hoists Slaughter up and executes a fireman's carry drop 1..2..Kick Out. Nikita goes to pick up Slaughter but Slaughter lowblows him. Slaughter takes a breather. Slaughter swings Nikita to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash. Slaughter follows with a calculated elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Slaughter reaches down but this time Nikita lowblows Slaughter. Both men are hurting. They slowly rise and exchange punches. They fight to the ropes. Nikita gets the upper hand and clotheslines Slaughter but they both fall over the top rope. Nikita's head hits the apron on the way down. The Ref holds off for a bit but then has no choice but to start the count. As Nikita staggers around, Slaughter comes from behind and applies the cobra clutch! Battleground, let's do this! Azul has been a highlight in the LHW division, smart move showcasing him to kick things off. Albright's rampage continues as he takes down one tough customer. Finlay blows his feud off with Burke, but man did he have to fight for it. Like Azul, King has added more fuel to the LHW's divisions fire. Nice move by Steamboat to counter Hennig. I believe we have the next serious contender. Severn gets another impressive defense but Regal proves he's more than a credible contender. Owen went out like a pro. DDP has a gem in Adams. Only the Midnights could out heel the heels. I always like Furnas and Lefon and it looks like they're in line for a title shot. Wow, Christopher pulls out the dirtiest tactics to win the LHW title. Talk about heat. Rose looks like his old self and takes Pillman to the limit but the always resilient Pillman finds a way to retain. Night 2! Candido shines bright tonight. Lee out brawls Cactus. I actually think both men will have a big year in 1989. Beating Anvil definitely elevates Chono. The Warriors have a successful reunion but the SCS will be back for more. Spicoli goes down in another game effort but his day is coming. Looks like Eddie has had enough of Barr's antics. It was great seeing the FOJ rack up another high profile win. Bret finally gets his revenge but I don't think Bam Bam is done with this fight. I believe young Dustin has solidified his right to be champion. Damn, Tenyru is a beast! Props to the Southern Boys for a fantastic run. I have to admit, I'm looking forward to a Destruction Crew reign. WHOA! Hall gets a tremendous career boost win over the Undertaker. Great feud, The ending to this show will be talked about for years to come. I was not expecting Haynes to snap like that. I mean he went off the deep end. I'm sure Windham was glad he got out of there. Can't say the same for the poor Ref. I can't wait to see the follow up. This show had it all and there was something for every kind of wrestling fan. Outstanding job!

AWA Major League Wrestling
AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-17-88 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. As you all know, tomorrow night the AWA will be in Milwaukee at the Mecca for Title Night. All the participants competing are in Milwaukee as we speak. That event of course will be televised, so tune in tomorrow night. As for tonight's show. Explosive main event as Kerry Von Erich takes in Terry Gordy. You'll also see Gary Young versus Mr. Olympia. Those two have had quite the rivalry. Another feature bout will see Dave Taylor going one on one with Timothy Flowers. Ok, let's get to the ring. The San Juan Saints vs. Carl Kellerman and Trent Watkins The Saints continue to get over with the AWA fans and get the win with a double suplex followed by stereo elbow drops. Nelson: Fans, next Saturday night in the Met Center, the AWA will host an 8-team tournament. The winners will receive a shot at the AWA world tag titles at SuperClash 3. Here are the first round match ups, The Fantastics vs. The Glamour Boys w/Lanny Poffo The Singhs vs. Venomous The Bruisers vs. The Mean Machine w/Dream Machine The Rose Cousins vs. The Wild Ones Commercial Break Iceman Parsons vs. Neil Jordan Parsons looks pissed tonight and finishes things off with the Hip Attack! Nelson: Iceman, I'm truly sorry on how everything went down with you and your TV title reign. I'm sure you have something to say. Parsons: First, I beat Adias for the TV title. Then, he somehow convinces Gerry Morrow to hold the title up. I went with it. And then that no good, dirty coward Black Bart hits me upside my head with a cowbell and costs me the TV title! Black Bart! I'm coming for you and I'm coming for some big time payback boy! Get ready because the Iceman is coming for ya! Commercial Break 'The British Bomber' Dave Taylor vs. 'Diamond' Timothy Flowers These two give the fans a good back and forth slugfest. Taylor is stiff but clean as he puts his scientific skills to work. Flowers has no problem breaking the rules and mixes that in with some hard hitting shots. They continue to go back and forth and end up fighting on the outside. The Ref hits 10 and counts both men out. Officials come out to break them up. After a minute, Taylor starts to leave. WHAM! Flowers nails him from behind with a chair. Flowers throws the chair down and looks into the camera "I told you my next shot would connect!" Commercial Break Venomous vs. Warren Coolidge and Maurice Thorpe Cobra hits a snap suplex and Kat follows with a senton for the win. Venomous look tuned up and ready for the Singhs and the Tag Team Tournament. Commercial Break Crusher Blackwell vs. Teddy Reed Blackwell hits a big splash and it's all over. Nelson: Crusher Blackwell, it seems you and Kokina have had some issues of late. Blackwell: I guess we have. Kokina seems to think he's the biggest and baddest monster around here. Kokina! To prove that, you have to go through me. Go ahead and bring it on big boy! Commercial Break We come back and see Greg Gagne sitting on a lounge chair and sipping a drink. Gagne: Today is a day of celebration. I decided to take the day off from my physical therapy because well, I've earned it. My heart is filled with joy because that masked moron El Canek is no more. Mongolian Stomper, I am forever grateful to you. Next week I will have a check sent to you in the amount of 250,000 dollars. I want that idiot Nelson to present it to you on TV, so the world can watch. Job well done Mr. Stomper. Gagne raises his glass. Commercial Break Mr. Olympia vs. 'The Fortunate One' Gary Young w/The Dream Machine Before the bell rings, Dream and Young attack Olympia! They swing him to the ropes and double clothesline him down. They start putting the boots to him. Wait a minute! Here comes Steve Keirn! Keirn hits the ring with fists flying! He holds his own until Olympia recovers. Olympia and Keirn stereo clothesline Dream and Young over the top rope! The fans are going nuts as Olympia and Keirn high five and hug. Meanwhile, Dream and Young are trying to clear the cobwebs on the outside. Commercial Break The Bruisers vs. Milt May and Todd Rooney Strong hits a backbreaker on Rooney, then tags in Busick. Strong swings Rooney to the ropes as Busick hits the spinebuster slam for the win! Bruisers cut a promo and said they couldn't be happier that they're facing Mean Machine in the 1st round of the tournament. The Bruisers say they're going to destroy the Mean Machine and then win the tournament and eventually the world tag titles. Commercial Break We come back and see Brian Adias standing in front of the Hollywood Sign landmark. He's wearing sunglasses, shorts and a tank top with the TV title on his shoulder. Adias: Life is great! Now that the AWA TV title is back where it belongs. Brian Adias has been in high demand, right here in Hollywood. I'm so huge that I will now be referred to as Blockbuster Brian Adias. I've got movie deals in the works with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Now, I don't want my fans to worry, because I'll be back on AWA TV defending this here title, MY title, very soon. Until then, I'll see you when I see you. Commercial Break The Olympians vs. Bobby Baines and Ray Glader Rheingans hits a gut wrench suplex and Patera follows with the Full Nelson to get the win. Nelson: Fans, next weekend, 8 teams will compete for a shot at the World Tag Titles at SuperClash 3. However, I understand that the Olympians will be flying to Japan tomorrow and will miss the tournament. Patera: That's right and it's a shame because we would've looked forward to some friendly and competitive competition in the tournament. But hey, the AWA knew there was only one team that could represent them well and that's us. Rheingans: That's right. The Olympians are all about playing by the rules and winning the old fashion way, with our skills and talent. Cream always rises to the top and we'll get our title shot when we return. Commercial Break Black Bart vs. Dean Kyle Bart wins the match with his Texas Trash compactor! Bart cuts a promo on Iceman and says if Parsons wants a fight, he'll take him on any dug gum time! Bart even says he'll take him on right now, but Nelson tells him Iceman has already left the building. Bart then calls Parsons a yellow bellied gutless chicken! Commercial Break Kerry Von Erich vs. Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy Nelson: Fans, we're still waiting...wait a second. Ok, our cameras are going to the back. It appears there's some kind of altercation going on. The cameras go to the back. Inside the dressing room, Kerry and Gordy are trading punches. Wrestlers try to break them up, but they break free and continue to hammer away on each other. They keep pounding away on each other. Finally, more wrestlers jump in and separate them. After a few seconds, Gordy jumps back in the scene and the fight is back on. More hard shots are traded as the wrestlers continue to try and break them up. Title Night Tomorrow Night! The Mecca, Milwaukee WI AWA World Title Bout Nikita Koloff (C) vs. Sgt. World Championship Wrestling (1988- )
A lot going on in WCW as they head into a loaded December. The Horsemen story has been very interesting. I'm very curious on how they're going to start 1989. Flair is in trouble with both Sting and Luger coming after him. Boogie Woogie Man might get his wish but I have a feeling Rogers will prevent that by any means necessary. Cool seeing the Lightning Express getting a push. I still can't believe Piper hasn't been attacked yet LOL. I'm hoping we get a Piper/Muraco feud. Jim Herd! Please sign Dibiase and Williams vs. The Samoan Savages! Hmmmm, could seeds be planting for a Hansen/Murdoch feud. Get ready because Reed and the Nation are going to go at it again. WOW! Dusty wins this round but Funk sounded like he's ready for more. Funk really is middle aged and crazy LOL.

National Wrestling Alliance
The Stud Stable and Lawmen feud escalates and now we get the big 6 man title match for Starrcade. The Assassin has rejuvenated the Beasts. I'm hoping we get a Brown/Super D title match for Starrcade. One of the best feuds in the game has been Wahoo and Lightfoot. After all the violence, we're going to get an epic blow off at Starrcade. Garvin ties up all loose ends from the Series and then puts Tully down with the hands of stone punch! Hawk sends a strong message to the champs. You're build to Starrcade has been a wild ride. It reminds me of the awesome 80s Starrcade's IRL. Great job!

Music City Wrestling
Very intriguing storyline with the Wildside and Reno. I do feel a little bad for Reno. The Nightmares will thrive here. It looks like Ronnie is planting some seeds for a Nightmares/Renestos feud. I can get behind that. Wildside and Cubans keep the heat on their feud. This time it's Michaels who plays a factor in Knighton's win over the Assassin. This was some good TV. I can't imagine what the big surprise will be. One thing's for sure, I'll be tuning in.

Great job hyping up Survivor Series! All the matches announced show how stacked this roster really is. The action figures are a true spectacle. I'm looking forward to watching who gets pushed at Survivor Series. What new feuds will develop and which ones will get blown off. Big things are going to happen.

Pacific Coast Wrestling
Lynn wants to prove he can hang in Pacific. Adams gets the win but Spicoli gets his respect. Silver King is rapidly rising the LHW rankings. Well, it was inevitable but Corny and the Midnights finally leave Vic hanging. However, looks like we're going to get a Rainbow Warriors reunion. Hart passes a tough test but Bigelow awaits. Cow Palace, Payne gets a sweet and satisfying win. Owen puts his technical skills to work. NOE have some momentum going against the Brigade. Yea, Silver King's a serious contender now. I hope Haynes stays focused on Windham and keeps away from Albright for now. Because Windham is looking 100% focused. Fresno, That crazy Barr opens things up with a win. Regal scores an impressive win over a former champ. Adams scores the victory over an always game Eddie. Oh man, sad news as Anvil announces he's leaving. I'll say this, he had the best hometown record I've ever seen. DDP has the Destruction Crew in top forum. Once again, Pillman closes the show with another successful title win, this time over a former TV champ. Pillman has become a huge star here. Bring on San Diego Battleground!!!

AWA Major League Wrestling
AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-10-88 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA major league wrestling. Title Night is just one week away and we'll be talking a lot about that tonight. Tonight's main event will be the Rose Cousins taking on current rivals the Wild Ones. DJ Peterson takes on one half of the National tag champs Paul Diamond. In a bounty match, Mongolian Stomper goes after El Canek. All that and a lot more, let's go to the ring. 'The British Bomber' Dave Taylor vs. Carl Kellerman Taylor enters the ring wearing a glittered Union Jack themed sleeveless robe. It's been awhile since Taylor was last seen in the AWA but from his recent vignette he seems to have gone back to his roots and says things will be different this time around. Taylor dominates the match and wins it with a running forearm blast. Nelson informs us that next week Dave Taylor will take on Timothy Flowers. Commercial Break Kokina w/The Singhs vs. Neil Jordan Kokina decimates his opponent and finishes things off with the Samoan Drop. Nelson gets more nervous as a chain swinging Buzz Sawyer joins the other Asylum members at ringside. Gama: Stand back Nelson or suffer the consequences. Venomous, you are sadly mistaking if you think you can go toe to toe with myself and Tiger Jeet. You don't measure up to us and you will get hurt. As for you Crusher Blackwell, you now have to deal with Kokina. I will fully unleash the monster Kokina and you will have to suffer the wrath! Commercial Break Bounty Match- NO DQ El Canek vs. The Mongolian Stomper As Canek heads to the ring, Stomper runs up from behind and whacks him across his back with a steel chair. Canek goes to his knees as Stomper whacks the chair across his back for a second time. Stomper tosses the chair and just starts stomping Canek's back. Stomper picks up Canek and executes a back breaker. Stomper applies a Boston Crab and wrenches away. Stomper releases the hold. He looks down at Canek and gives him a few more stomps, then just walks away. Medics rush out to tend to Canek. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, I hope to give you an update on El Canek soon. I'm not sure, but the Mongolian Stomper may have just earned 250,000 dollars from Greg Gagne. Switching gears, you all saw the intense parking lot fight last week between Terry Gordy and Kerry Von Erich. Listen to this, next week here on TV, the main event will be Terry Gordy one on one with Kerry Von Erich. Don't miss that one. Ok, joining me now are the AWA National tag team champs Badd Co. along with Baby Doll. Bad Company plays as Baby Doll leads her champs out. Nelson: Ok, at Title Night, Badd Company will defend their titles against the Gunslingers. The Gunslingers have been on quite the roll and just may unseat your champs. Baby Doll: You're joking right Nelson? Those two dime store cowboys don't stand a chance against my team of the 90s. They're not even worth talking about anymore. Those city slickers can stay tuned to this program and watch Paul Diamond dismantle that big dummy DJ Peterson. Then they'll see what my champs are all about. Nelson: Ok, a very confident Baby Doll, let's go back to the ring. 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi vs. Trent Watkins Brandi excites the fans and wins the match with a missile dropkick! Commercial Break Coast to Coast vs. Sam Smith and Harold Bannister Victory and Tatum are in total unison and win the match with a double flapjack. Coast to Coast cut a promo and say they're going to take the world titles from the Guerreros at Title Night. They close by saying they're dedicating their win to the Vin Man. Commercial Break 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff vs. Clyde Putnam The fans cheer as Orndorff hits the piledriver for the win! Nelson: Paul, last week you eliminated Larry Zbyszko from the battle royal and then his distraction helped Sgt. Slaughter eliminate you to win it. And then Zbyszko hits you with his Mid American title. Well, you now have your chance at Title Night. Orndorff: Zbyszko! I'm going to make this plain and simple. At Title Night, I'm going to piledrive your head through the mat and take that Mid American title from you! Commercial Break Nelson talks about the match at Title Night between Carlos Colon and Jumbo Tsuruta. The winner of that match will get the coveted AWA World Title shot at SuperClash 3. He sends us to pre recorded comments. Colon: 1988 has been a great year for Carlos Colon. My goal has always been to become World Champion. Jumbo Tsuruta is going to be a huge obstacle but I will get by him and get that world title shot. Jumbo is standing with Ray Stevens Stevens: I said I was going to release Jumbo Tsuruta's full potential and now it has paid off. Jumbo Tsuruta is a human wrecking machine and at Title Night he's going to run over Carlos Colon and after that he's going to take what's rightfully his, the AWA world title! Commercial Break 'Dynamite' DJ Peterson vs. AWA National Tag Champ Paul Diamond w/Baby Doll and Pat Tanaka DJ and Diamond give the fans a pretty fun back and forth contest. A few minutes in, DJ is in full control as he pinballs Diamond with a series of power moves. It was only a matter of time, but Baby Doll gets on the apron and distracts the Ref, which allows Tanaka to quickly run in the ring and give DJ a karate kick to the back of his head. Diamond takes control and works over DJ with some power moves of his own. Diamond executes a hanging vertical suplex but can't put DJ away. Diamond goes for an elbow drop from the middle ropes but DJ moves. The fans fire DJ up as DJ hammers away on Diamond. DJ scoop slams Diamond and swings off the ropes but Tanaka reaches in and trips DJ. The fans cheer as the Gunslingers run out and double clothesline Tanaka down. Baby Doll is yelling at the Gunslingers. The Gunslingers pick up Baby Doll and carry her up the aisle. Diamond sees this and heads to the outside, but DJ grabs him from behind and hits a belly to back suplex 1..2..3!!! Big POP! Commercial Break Nelson: With me now is the Dream Machine and Gary Young. Dream: Listen up Nelson, because I've got something to say babay! Next week, my man, the fortunate one Gary Young will finally get rid of Mr. Olympia once and for all! But that's not all. Dream Machine is expanding. I have acquired a new team here in the AWA. I'm talking about Mike Miller and Rip Oliver, the Mean Machine! Miller and Oliver come out wearing black vests, black knee pads and black boots. They shake hands with Dream and Young. Nelson: Wait a minute! You guys attacked the Bruisers last week and costed them a shot at the world titles. Now you're with this guy. What gives? Miller: What gives is we're here in the AWA to destroy anything that gets in our way! I was suspended from the AWA a few months ago just for beating people up. Mr. Morrow reinstated me and I made it known that the AWA needs to toughen up and he seemed to agree. Oliver: That's exactly right! I got soft spending too much time caring about these sissy fans. Those days are over. The Mean Machine is serving notice. Bruisers! You think you're the toughest team around? Think again! Dream: That sums it all up babay! Just look at Dream's Team. Gary Young and the Mean Machine! There aint no stopping us! Commercial Break The Fantastics vs. Vic Dutro and Wille Lopez Fantastics put on a tag team display before winning the match with the Rocket Launcher! Fantastics cut a heated promo on the Glamour Boys and Lanny Poffo. They say they're going to teach the Glamour Boys what tag team wrestling is all about and if Poffo interferes again, they're going to slap the makeup off his face! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, after our main event we will hear comments from Sgt Slaughter and AWA world champ Nikita Koloff. As for next week's show, I'll be talking to Iceman Parsons. I understand we will see a special video sent in from Hollywood by TV champ Brian Adias. Gary Young takes on Mr. Olympia. Dave Taylor squares off against Timothy Flowers. And a blockbuster main event as Terry Gordy goes one on one with Kerry Von Erich. Ok, let's go to our main event. The Rose Cousins vs. The Wild Ones The bell rings and we get a pier six brawl right away. The Rose's hit stereo back drops on the Wild Ones. Wild Ones stagger up and the Rose's stereo clothesline them over the top rope. Rose's celebrate as the Wild Ones try and regroup. The Ref gets some order as Pat works over Davey. Pat hip tosses Davey across the ring. Johnny runs in and gets hip tossed across the ring. Johnny stands up as Randy (on the apron) nails him with a punch. Davey goes after Randy but Pat tackles him and pounds away. The Rose's continue to work over the Wild Ones. Randy goes for a suplex on Johnny but Davey runs in and clips Randy behind the knees. The Wild Ones take the next segment and go to work on Randy. Davey runs over and slaps Pat. Pat gets in the ring, but the Ref guides him back, which allows the Wild Ones to hit a double suplex on Randy. Davey tags in Johnny. Davey slams Randy as Johnny comes off the middle ropes with a knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Johnny swings Randy to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Randy kicks him, dives over and tags in Pat. Pat is on fire as he cleans house. He knocks Davey out of the ring. He works over Johnny, then slams him down and follows with a fist drop 1..2..Davey runs in with a kick. Randy runs in and pounds away on Davey. Another pier six brawl happens. The Wild Ones take control and swing the Rose's towards each other, but the Rose's reverse things and swing the Wild Ones into each other. The Wild Ones collide and stagger backwards as the Rose's clothesline both of them down. Pat slams Davey as Randy hops on the turnbuckles and comes down with a slingshot splash on Davey 1..2..3! The fans get up and cheer! Commercial Break Sgt. Slaughter is standing in front of an AWA banner Slaughter: One week! Nikita Koloff, you have only one week left as the AWA world champion. I made my mission known from the beginning and that mission will be accomplished in one week. I will rid the AWA of that puke commie and I will be a world champion this country can be proud of! Nikita is standing in front of an AWA banner with the title on his shoulder Koloff: Sgt. Slaughter, you have no idea what you are dealing with. You have gotten under Nikita's skin and now I'm going to have to shut that big mouth of yours. I know the best way to do that, it's with the Russian Sickle!

Knighton better be ready because a pissed off Assassin is coming after him. I agree with AD, the Nightmares fit right in here. Poor Reno, he finally finds a solid partner and then gets hurt. Not sure he's too keen on a Wildside reunion. DJ is livid and I wouldn't want to be Miss Kentucky when DJ gets her hands on her. The Wildside is already causing problems for the Cubans. On to the Auditorium, Dundee and Tojo retain but sooner or later they MUST face the Renestos. The Wildside have the Cubans on the run. Michaels gains more credibility as champ with a win over Bass.

You've done a great job putting importance on the 6-Man titles. I've enjoyed a lot of fun programs surrounding those titles. Stud Stable vs. Lawmen should be a good one. JYD vs. Debeers in a dog collar match? Bring it on! This has been one of the top feuds in our game. What a blow off this will be at Starrcade. Well, if there's a team that can give the Road Warriors a fight, it's definitely Race and Anderson. Tully calling Garvin a blue collar bum had me cracking up. People will pay just to watch Garvin give Tully a pounding. Speaking of Garvin, he gets his win over Wahoo. However, the big story is Lightfoot rekindling his feud with Wahoo. Ox is out and Assassin is in. Not a bad replacement for the Beasts. I wonder who the newest acquisition in the NWA will be. We'll find out at Starrcade.

All roads lead to Survivor Series. Herc gets the boot, but I have a feeling he might join forces with others to try and take down the Heenan Family. Oh yea, some seeds planted for a Muta/Warrior showdown. The visual alone is worth the price of admission. The MSG card was a lot of fun. The highlight for me was seeing that mass of humanity in the ring for the tag team battle royal. I know you had fun piecing that together. Thanks to the Heenan Family, Savage survives Hogan...for now.

AWA SuperClash 3 report The road to Superclash 3 is officially underway and there will be a few pivotal stops along the way. The first will be in Milwaukee for Title Night on Nov. 17th. The results of all the title bouts will definitely play a factor at SuperClash. Also, the big match between Carlos Colon and Jumbo Tsuruta will determine the challenger for the world title bout at SuperClash. Another stop will be at the Met Center on Thanksgiving night, where 8 tag teams will compete in a tournament with the winners getting a world tag team title shot at SuperClash. And on December 23rd in Fort Wayne the annual pre Clash tag team battle royal will take place, with the winners getting a shot at the National tag titles at SuperClash. The AWA was proud to announce that SuperClash 3 would take place in Denver Colorado at the McNichols Arena. Also announced, Donna Sommer will kick things off with the National Anthem. The AWA has also been in contact with Denver's own, boxing slugger Ron Lyle for a specific role. And finally, AWA scouts were in Japan and informed Verne about an American heavyweight making waves over there. Verne took notice and has signed the man they call Big Van Vader to appear at SuperClash. Stay tuned for more reports.

High stakes in the big Seasons beatings battle royal. I think there's something there with Piper and Muraco. LOL, Boogie Woogie Man is having the time of his life. I cracked up at Willams and Dibiase's response to the bounty and that they couldn't care less. However, Hart better watch his back. Damn, Terry Funk is the master of selling tickets with a promo. Great stuff! The champs better be on high alert if the Outlaws want gold. Well, Reed's out of the Nation, but he's gained a powerful ally with Simmons. Mando is causing a lot of problems and pain for others with his cream.

The newspaper articles are a nice touch. I'm with AD, it's the Renestos time for a title shot. Come on Bert, give them a shot. The Knighton/Michaels saga continues. However, not sure the Assassin is going to let that slide.

Props to Spicoli for holding his own against my man St. Clair. With fresh faces, the LHW division has been elevated to an even higher level, if that's possible. Animal will be a force to reckon with in PCW. Tina isn't playing around as she gets the Playboy Club focused in a hurry. LOL, I loved this segment. Harts come up short again, thanks to the numbers game. They might need some back up. WOW, after that, Windham's got to be a little concerned. Haynes was ruthless. Portland, Can Ams and Malenkos have been tearing it up on the loops. Adams has quietly been racking up some big wins. Eddie might have his eye on a LHW title shot. Yep, Rose is focused. Dustin is finding his groove as CA champ. In a bit of a surprise, Windham panics a bit and resorts to low tactics. Haynes is definitely on his mind. Eugene, See, Regal doesn't need brass knuckles. Lee gets the biggest win of his PCW over the former dual champ. Impressive finish by Bam Bam Steamboat edges out Finlay in an excellent match up. As always, the LHW's deliver. If anybody can follow a LHW match in PCW, it's Pillman.

AWA Major League Wrestling
AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-3-88 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. We've got a tremendous night of action lined up. You will see the big battle royal, with the winner getting a world title shot against Nikita Koloff at the next Title Night. Brian Adias and Iceman Parsons battle for the held up TV title. The Bruisers face Coast to Coast for a world tag title shot at Title Night. Venomous take on Asylum members Gama Singh and Tiger Jeet Singh. All that....wait a minute, I'm being told there is some kind of altercation going on in the parking lot. The screen cuts to a scene in the parking lot where Terry Gordy and Kerry Von Erich are trading fists. You can tell these guys have been going at it. Gordy grabs Kerry and hurls him onto a car hood. Kerry rolls over to the front of the car and staggers up. Gordy charges but Kerry back drops him into the car's front windshield. Several prelim wrestlers, officials and security run out to stop this. It takes all these men to keep Gordy and Kerry away from each other. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, I'm sorry to announce that neither Kerry Von Erich or Terry Gordy will be in the battle royal tonight. Both have been escorted off the premises. This has become a very personal issue and one that needs to be resolved soon. AWA World Tag Team Champs The Guerreros vs. Neil Jordan and Trent Watkins Hector and Chavo are in sync and crisp tonight and win the match with a double snap suplex. The Guerreros talk about their recent success in CWA and are looking forward to taking on either the Bruisers or Coast to Coast at Title Night in Milwaukee. Commercial Break Venomous vs. The Asylum (Gama and Tiger Jeet Singh) Things get chaotic before the bell even rings. The Singh's ambush Venomous on their way to the ring, which escalates into a full on brawl. Tiger Singh brings his sword into the fight and hits Kat, but Cobra grabs a chair and hits Tiger. Gama loads up a towel and nails Cobra from behind. Once again, several officials and security storm out. Commercial Break We come back and see Greg Gagne in another physical therapy session. Gagne: Only a matter of time before I get back to the AWA. Look how great I'm doing. That's why I'm the Great Greg Gagne. Now, it seems El Canek has really become a pest. Well, I put a call out and raised my bounty to 200,000 dollars. Trust me, the extra money is worth it and all you idiots and especially that masked buffoon Canek will soon find out why. Gagne chuckles and gets back to his physical therapy. 'Diamond' Timothy Flowers vs. Marvin Jones Flowers is aggressive tonight and wins the match with a face planted piledriver. Nelson: Well, Tim, last week you were unsuccessful in collecting Greg Gagne's bounty. Flowers: Hold on! I was hit with a chair by that animal. Nelson: You were the one who brought the chair into the ring. Flowers: Shut up! Don't try and twist things around. I look around here and see people really love using chairs. Well, if that's how things are here, I'll make sure I connect next time. Believe me! Commercial Break The Gunslingers vs. Clyde Putnam and Ernest Elliot Gunslingers bring the excitement and win the match with a double running bulldog. Gunslingers cut a promo on Badd Co. regarding their upcoming National tag team title match at Title Night. They say Baby Doll talks a big game and wonder why Badd Co. always lets her do the talking. They say Baby Doll is writing a check that Badd Co. wont be able to cash! Commercial Break An advertisement is shown. SuperClash 3 Saturday December 30th The McNichols Arena, Denver Co. Winners will receive an AWA World Tag Team Title Shot at Title Night The Bruisers vs. Coast to Coast These teams have had quite the rivalry lately and it shows tonight. The Bruisers spend the first few minutes pinballing Tatum and Victory all over the place. Coast to Coast regroup and show off their skills with some impressive tag team unison mixed in with a lot of rule breaking. Bruisers come back with a vengeance and put their power to work. Strong hits a shoulder breaker on Victory 1..2..Tatum runs in and drops an elbow on Strong. Busick runs in and pounds away on Tatum. This turns into a pier six brawl. During this brawl, Mike Miller and Rip Oliver hit the ring! They push Coast to Coast out of the way and attack the Bruisers! Coast to Coast roll out of the ring as Miller and Oliver put the boots to the Bruisers. They execute a spike piledriver on Busick, then do the same to Strong. Miller and Oliver leave the Bruisers laid out. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, you won't believe this, but the Referee has disqualified the Bruisers because Miller and Oliver made contact with Coast to Coast first. Therefore, Coast to Coast will face the Guerreros for the world tag titles at Title Night. I have no idea why Mike Miller and Rip Oliver attacked the Bruisers but they costed them a title opportunity. Ok, switching gears, my guests at this time are Lanny Poffo and the Glamour Boys. Poffo and the Glamour Boys come out with the full on 80s Glam Rock look. Nelson: Well, you guys are certainly a sight. Poffo: Quiet you. What you're looking at are 3 men who have been severely mistreated by the AWA. Those days are over! We have banded together and soon we will have all the gold. I will win tonight's battle royal and soon the world title will be mine. As for the Glamour Boys, after they dispose of those poser wannabe Fantastics, it's on to the world tag team titles. You are looking at the future of the AWA. Don't we look pretty? Poffo and the Glamour Boys hug, hold up each others arms and bow to the booing fans. Commercial Break For the AWA TV Title If Adias wins, his previous title reign remains intact. If Parsons wins, Adias will never get another TV title shot. Iceman Parsons vs. 'The A Lister' Brian Adias The bell rings and Adias charges but Parsons back drops him. Adias staggers up as Parsons dropkicks him down. Parsons works over Adias with a flurry of dropkicks, hip tosses, arm drags, shoulder blocks and scoop slams. Parsons gets several near falls but Adias stays alive. Parsons goes for a back drop but Adias kicks him and regroups. Adias chokes Parsons on the bottom rope, swings off the opposite ropes and hits a body guillotine. Adias picks up Parsons and executes a Russian Leg Sweep 1..2..Parsons gets his shoulder up. Adias hurls Parsons out of the ring. Adias goes to the apron and waits. Parsons staggers up. Adias leaps off with a double axehandle but Parsons flips him over with a gut punch. Parsons fires up and hurls Adias back in the ring. Parsons goes to the top rope. Adias slowly rises. As Parsons jumps off, Adias "stumbles" into the Ref as Parsons comes down on both of them. Parsons picks up Adias, swings him into the ropes and nails him with the Hip Attack! Parsons covers but the Ref is still out. BLACK BART runs into the ring and wallops Parsons with his cowbell! Bart takes off to the back. Adias rolls over on top of Parsons. The Ref crawls over and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOOOOOO! The Ref grabs the TV title and sets it on top of Adias. Adias grabs the title, kneels up and hugs it. Winner of the Match and STILL AWA TV Champ- Brian Adias Commercial Break Nelson: Well, I can't believe it, but Brian Adias has erased the TV title win of Iceman Parsons. And he can thank Black Bart for that. This just doesn't sit right with me. Ok, it's now time for the battle royal. Joining me for commentary is the current AWA world champion Nikita Koloff. The fans cheer as Nikita comes out in jeans and an AWA logo tank top with the world title on his shoulder. He sits down with Nelson at the announcer's table. Battle Royal- Winner receives an AWA World Title Shot at Title Night on Nov. 17th in Milwaukee. Participants- Paul Orndorff, El Canek, Sgt. Slaughter, Ken Patera, Crusher Blackwell, Kokina, DJ Peterson, Tom Brandi, Lanny Poffo, Randy Rose, Gary Young, Mr. Olympia, the returning Steve Keirn and the AWA Mid-American Champ Larry Zbyszko The bell rings and the fists and forearms start flying. DJ Peterson and Tom Brandi eliminate Lanny Poffo. Paul Orndorff eliminates Ken Patera Sgt. Slaughter eliminates Randy Rose Kokina and Crusher Blackwell are tied up against the ropes and both lumber over. Both men get up and just start hammering away on each other. They fight all the way to the back. Larry Zbyszko eliminates Tom Brandi From out of nowhere the MONGOLIAN STOMPER hits the ring and attacks El Canek. Stomper hurls Canek out of the ring and follows. Stomper swings Canek into the ring steps. Stomper just starts stomping away on Canek until several Refs usher him away. Larry Zbyszko eliminates DJ Peterson. Olympia clotheslines Young but they both go over the top rope. Sgt. Slaughter eliminates Steve Keirn. On the outside, Dream Machine runs out and pounds away on Olympia. Gary Young joins in as they give Olympia a beating. Steve Keirn gets up, runs over and starts hammering away on Young and Dream Machine. Once again, officials have to break up a fight on the outside. Inside the ring, it's down to Orndorff, Slaughter and Zbyszko. Zbyszko stays in the corner as Orndorff clotheslines Slaughter down. Orndorff hops on the middle turnbuckles and crashes down with a double forearm drop. Zbyszko runs over and drops a knee on Orndorff. Zbyszko grabs Orndorff by his hair and runs with him, but Orndorff reverses things and hurls Zbyszko over the top rope! That gets a big pop from the fans. Slaughter sneaks up from behind and clips Orndorff behind the knees. Slaughter picks up Orndorff, swings him to the ropes but misses a clothesline. Orndorff swings back and clotheslines Slaughter down. As Orndorff limps around, Zbyszko gets on the apron and starts yelling at Orndorff. Orndorff runs over and takes a swing but Zbyszko jumps down. Zbyszko keeps yelling up at Orndorff. Slaughter staggers over from behind and hoists Orndorff over the top rope! Zbyszko grabs his Mid American title. As Orndorff rises, Zbyszko cracks him over the head with his title. Slaughter is in the middle of the ring. He raises his arms in victory. After the ring announcer announces his victory, Slaughter snatches the mic. He looks right at Nikita Koloff. Nikita stands up. Slaughter: Nikita Koloff! I told you I was coming! You listen up and listen good you no good dirty commie! At Title Night, I'm going to do the AWA and this country a tremendous favor. I'm going to defeat you, take that world title and deport you out of this country. You don't belong here and it's my duty to complete this mission. You hear me you puke? You're going to be obsolete! Nikita takes his tank top off and heads towards the ring but the officials (busy night for them) hold him back. Nakano vs. Shamrock might be the best opening match so far. These guys really gave the fans a fight. Nakano gets the win, but Shamrock made him earn it. Suzuki and Sekishima put on a nice grappling display, which Suzuki ends up winning. Vrij is going to be a big name here. Onita and Aoyagi give the fans something different. One thing's for sure, it was a fight! I can't believe these guys went at it like that for 30 minutes. I'm sure there will be a rematch and I know it will be a big draw. It would be hard to follow the last match, but Smiley impresses and is making a name for himself here. Nakamura has things going his way, but Takada rides the storm out and finishes things off strong. Kido's woes continue but no shame in losing to a game Sayama. The fans get another different style match as Gordeau gives Maeda and the fans a scare. Maeda is a true pro as he waited for his moment and capitalized. Maeda's out to prove he's the best fighter in the world and it's hard to argue that.

The Sheepherders kick things off and earn their shot at Starrcade. Violent Sheepherders were always fun to watch. These guys were crazy. Sawyer wins round one, but I think Perez will be back for another round. Pitbull retains but he may now have Super D to deal with. If memory serves, didn't these guys have quite a feud last year? That finish by the Road Warriors will be an NWA highlight for years to come. After what just happened, Debeers and JYD might be heading for a huge blow off at Starrcade. Speaking of Starrcade, the Omni gets to host. After an amazing series, Garvin walks away as the victor. Props to Orton for being on his A game. You told a great story here and Garvin is a true Cinderella story. Tully vs. Garvin will deliver. Looking forward to their build. Starrcade is being set up so well. Great job!

AHHHHHHH, now RPG's employment here makes sense. This is better than a soap opera LOL. I knew King and Weiss would eventually shine. Although, I still think the Renestos have been criminally overlooked. Blaze ends the show on a high note. Bert might be the best promoter in the game. No question about it, Spooktacular is going to draw.

AWA @ The Quandt Fieldhouse, Stevens Point WI 10-29-88 The San Juan Saints defeated The Malachi Brothers- The Saints hit a double body slam and followed with stereo elbow drops for the win. Sgt. Slaughter defeated An Enhancement Talent with the Cobra Clutch- After the match, Slaughter cut a scathing promo and lectured the crowd on "patriotism" and berated them for supporting Nikita Koloff as the world champion. The Olympians defeated The Rose Cousins- The Rose's had things going their way until the Rich's came out. Davey distracted the Ref as Johnny yanked Randy off the apron. Pat went to his cousin's aid but Patera clipped him from behind and Rheingans finished him off with a gut wrench suplex. The Rich's ran away laughing. 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi defeated 'Luscious' Lanny Poffo by C.O.- Brandi nailed Poffo with a missile dropkick that sent Poffo bouncing out of the ring. It looked like Poffo had other things on his mind because at the last second he decided not to roll back in the ring. Venomous defeated The Wild Ones- It was payback time as the Rose's came out. Pat distracted the Ref as Randy yanked Johnny off the apron. An irate Davey tried to go out and help, but Venomous grabbed Davey from behind and executed a double back suplex for the win. This time it was the Rose's walking away laughing. 'Dynamite' DJ Peterson defeated 'Crippler' Rip Oliver with a flying shoulder tackle. Interesting thing here was 'Mean' Mike Miller came out and had a conversation with a distraught Oliver. The two then left the ring together. The Glamour Boys defeated The Fantastics- These teams gave the fans an exciting roller coaster ride. Both teams gave it their all and traded momentum several times. After 25 minutes of non stop action, the Ref took a bump during a pier six brawl. Rogers and Doll were fighting outside the ring. Lanny Poffo ran out and nailed Rogers with a chair. Inside the ring, Fulton had Simpson covered. Poffo went to the top rope and crashed down with a knee to Fulton's head. Poffo rolled Simpson on top. Poffo then slid the Ref over. The Ref counted 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOOO! After the match, Poffo and the Glamour Boys hugged and gave a bow to the booing fans.
