Very key showcase for Sabu The Peach Patrol is born and have their sights set on two factions I think Bigelow vs Awesome is an important feud for both men. They're both red hot and whoever comes out on top will be catapulted to another level. The Hexagon looking to get their heat back The Hot Rod is back!!! I'm sure Scorpio wants another run with the LHW belt Busick wins the battle of the big men to retain. Portland The Peach Patrol are off to a good start a wounded PCO falls to the Karachi Krunch which is still one of my favorite finisher names Iron and Steel take down the former champs as they look towards the current champs Good move booking the MVC after Iron and Steel. Gave the fans a chance to talk about the future showdown It's always fun watching two former big name and dominant champs going at it. Windham proves he's still a top contender If you want to piss a wrestler off, then interfere with his shot at the title. This is going to give Regal some extra fire Eugene A 2 out of 3 falls tag match going the distance is one hell of a way to kick things off The Peach Patrol gives Hashimoto a nice resurgence The OWC have really established themselves here. Thanks to you, these guys have a bright future in our game Severn sure has a lot in his arsenal Douglas keeps racking up wins The Midnights might hold the Trios titles forever

AWA Major League Wrestling
AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 6-13-90 Special guest WrestleRock promoter Don King is on screen "Greetings AWA Fans. The air is buzzing with electricity as the biggest event of the year approaches. I can only be talking about WrestleRock. There you will see a main event of epic proportions as Hulk Hogan defends the AWA world title against Ric Flair. Well, you can't have a main event like that and a promoter like me without having a press conference. That will take place next week in Minneapolis and will be shown live on TV. I will see you there!" Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Ok, there you have it. Next week there will be a special WrestleRock world title press conference. We'll be getting both Hulk Hogan's and Ric Flair's comments on that in the WrestleRock report. We have a lot going on, so lets get to the ring. The Olympians vs. Neil Jordan and Danny Timberland Rheingans executes a backbreaker and tags in Patera. Patera finishes things off with a full nelson slam. Nelson: Ok, you guys heard the challenge made by the Soul Patrol. They want you in a tornado match at WrestleRock. Rheingans: You know normally we wouldn't stoop to levels that low. Olympic champions like us shouldn't lower our wrestling standards in such a barbaric match. However, if this is what it takes to finally shut those clowns up, then so be it. Patera: The Olympians have always been about honor and sportsmanship. Just being in the ring with those patriotic wannabes makes me sick. We're Olympians! Nobody has represented the USA better than us. It's time to restore honor in the tag team division which means ridding these clowns of the AWA. So yea, we accept! Commercial Break The Snowman vs. Todd Rooney Snowman shows off his incredible power. He swings his opponent to the ropes and nails him with a double axehandle for the win. From behind, the Hangman clotheslines Snowman! Hangman stomps down on Snowman. Nell tosses Hangman his noose. Hangman is trying to get the noose around Snowman's neck! Snowman fights it and slowly rises then hits a Jawbreaker on Hangman! Snowman jumps up and pumps his fists. Hangman staggers up as Snowman clotheslines him over the top rope! Nell rushes over to Hangman. Snowman picks up the noose. Snowman goes to the outside and hits Nell from behind. Snowman puts the noose around Nell's neck and starts to choke him. Hangman gets up and tackles Snowman. Security and officials run out as the commercial hits. Commercial Break AWA TV Champ David Sammartino vs. Paul Terretti Sammartino's ear is bandaged but he easily wins the match with a belly to belly suplex. Nelson: David, I see you're still heeling from that horrible fireball act by King Kahlua. You'll be defending that TV title against Kahlua at WrestleRock. Sammartino: I look at this ear every day in the mirror and realize how lucky I am. Kahlua! You wanted my attention, you got it! You wont be so lucky at WrestleRock. I'm not only defending the TV title, but I'm coming for some serious payback! Commercial Break Footage is shown from a few weeks ago as Austin Idol gets disqualified for using the figure four on Bobby Blaze. After the ruling, Idol beats down Blaze and piledrives him down. 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol vs. Bobby Blaze The bell rings and Blaze is all over Idol. Blaze swings Idol to the corner, hops up on the turnbuckles and punches down on Idol as the fans count along. Hold on! The Starrs hit the ring and attack Blaze. The Ref signals for the DQ. The bell's ringing as the Starrs put the boots to Blaze. Idol joins in and it's 3 on 1. The fans cheer as the Takano Dragons hit the ring and go to town on the 3 men. The fight goes on. Blaze regroups and joins in. It's chaos. Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness, tensions are high tonight. Speaking of tensions, there's been a lot of that in the National tag team scene. At WrestleRock, the Mavericks will defend their titles against both Latin Desire and the Jive Tones in a 3 way match. Joining me now are the former champs, Latin Desire. Al: Everybody knows that we're the rightful owners of the National titles. If it wasn't for those idiot Jive Tones, we would still be champs. Boos as Tiger Conway leads his Jive Tones out. Conway: The only idiots around here are you two suckas. All you guys do is whine and cry like two sissies. You're looking at the next National champs. I'm talking about the Jive Tones turkey! Whatley and Young have words with Al and Lou. Tensions rise and a pushing match ensues, but security is on high alert and runs out to prevent an altercation. It's overheard that these teams want a match against each other next week. Commercial Break 'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thornton vs. Carl Kellerman Every time Smith executes a suplex, Thornton looks into the camera and says "Are you watching Saito?" Smith gets the win with a superplex. Thornton cuts a promo and says Mr. Saito is in for a rude awakening at Wrestlerock. Commercial Break Col. Debeers vs. Michael McGeorge Debeers twirls his mustache throughout the match as he punishes his opponent. Debeers hits the front face piledriver and it's all over. Debeers puts his foot on his opponent's chest and twirls his mustache. The fans go nuts as Carlos Colon runs into the ring and hits Debeers with a baseball bat from behind. Colon swings Debeers to the ropes and hits his gut with the bat. Debeers keels over as Colon hits his back with the bat! Colon holds his bat high as the fans cheer. Officials run in as Colon leaves satisfied. Commercial Break King Kong Bundy w/Greg Gagne vs. David Ramsey Bundy hits the big splash and demands and gets the 5 count. Nelson: Greg, last week El Canek returned to the ring and looked pretty dang good. Many people think you and Bundy have underestimated his will. Gagne: Just shut up Nelson. Man, you're such a nerd. Do we look nervous? NO! Why would we? That masked moron has been a thorn in my side for years and now I have to perfect weapon to finally exterminate that cockroach. Bundy: That's right! At WrestleRock, I'm going to squash Canek like the cockroach he is! Gagne: (laughing) Adios to the masked moron Commercial Break The Renegade Warriors vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Chris holds Dutro up in a suplex position as Mark comes off the top rope with a flying press for the win. The Warriors cut a promo and say they're looking forward to wrestling a team with the credentials of the Can Am Express at WrestleRock. Commercial Break Ken Resnick is standing in the ring. Resnick: Joining me now are the AWA world tag team champs, the Rock n Roll Express. RnR make their way down the aisle slapping hand and hugging the ladies. They enter the ring. They each hop on a turnbuckle and hold their titles high to the cheering fans. OH NO! The Enforcers hit the ring and nail RnR from behind! They beat down the Express. Zbyszko hits a swinging neckbreaker on Gibson. Arn swings Morton to the ropes and hits the spinebuster. The Enforcers pick up the titles and toss them on the canvas. Zbyszko grabs Gibson by the hair as Arn grabs Morton by the hair. The Enforcers proceed to rub RnR's faces down into the titles. Arn picks up Morton and holds him as Zbyszko blasts Morton's head with the title! Zbyszko holds Gibson as Arn holds up the title and blasts Gibson's head with it! The show ends with the Enforcers holding the titles high.

Cool visual with Lord Alfred on sight to hype up KOTR. I have a feeling something big is happening with Rude soon. Kevin Von Erich advances with a huge win over Kokina. Keep up the good work with the event center promos. I always loved these IRL. WWF mainstays Bruti and Sheiky baby get in some solid showcases. Thanks to a bit of help from Slick, Nailz gets the upset over Andre. Very realistic finish. Damn, the KOTR is stacked with some great match ups.

Kicking off the show with Hot Stuff Inc, shows that they're back in a big way Savage vs. Hennig is a feud I can get behind. Just think about the 5 star matches these guys can deliver. I wonder where the Soultaker goes from here. If Jarrett wants a shot at Gilbert, he might need some back up. Doom is lighting up the territory. I can't wait for their showdown with the Steiners The King is on top but like he said, there's a lot of guys gunning for him including Dick Slater Anvil and Hammer could develop into serious tag team contenders. I cant wait for the day when Gaylord gets his hands on Dutch. Are we really seeing the redemption of Tommy Rich??? It's going to be a sizzling summer in the USWA.

The intro really sets the tone for a big show. The Colossal Kongs kick things off by brutally squashing the Battens. Adnan plays his part well Bernard King, wow that brings back memories Vampire Warrior gets a good showcase. Having Kabuki with him really elevates his gimmick Gilbert does get the job done with brass knuckles. Now he has the TV title and the power Hollywood gives Callis the edge and I cant imagine what these two have planned Bringing in Dory was brilliant booking. That comes into play as Jimmy Jack gets the win with 2 piledrivers. Great finish Look at that! Well Dunn retains! Honestly, I thought the Harris Brothers were going to mow them down. This really gives Well Dunn serious credibility as fighting champs. I wonder how Ellering will respond. Main Event time! Bullet and Fuller give the fans their money's worth and put on a classic old school southern fight. I loved the match description and it was cool seeing King get in a crowd pleasing moment. Armstrong gets the big win to retain and sends the fans home happy. Awesome job! This was a blast to read. I loved the backstage promos and all the matches meant something.

And yet another exciting addition to the LHW division. Scorpio will shine here I love the way you have reenergized careers here. Adams is another perfect example. I just about wrote him off but now he's back with a vengeance. Great job I wonder what is next for PCO Harlem Heat's moving up in the world Who can stop the monster Singh If you're a rookie, go to PCW. Just ask Steve Austin. He's been built up and now he's ready to take it to another level somewhere else. Wow, what was that??? This mysterious woman is doing some mysterious things. Vancouver Two young lions got a feud going Bigelow's now a serious title threat Lee's back to his dominating ways Severn just scored the biggest win of his career. I'm sure Williams wont leave that alone Busick solidifies himself as TV champ Damn! How lucky were those fans to be able to watch two A plus workers go at it for the title. That match was epic and I know Savage will sign a rematch. Kelowna Iron and Steel are ready for the MVC Douglas is moving steadily up the rankings Albright shows he can still get the job done solo Awesome hits the powerbomb and it's game over Patriot evens things up against the OWC. Hopefully these two teams will go at it Another successful title defense for Condrey. What a comeback story.

The Enforcers are standing in front of a WrestleRock banner Zbyszko: You know, the rock n roll express are the true definitions of spudheads. Those two long haired girly men are going to find out real soon what tag team wrestling is all about. It's about time real men held the world tag titles. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 6-6-90 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight, Ric Flair will be in action as he tunes up for his world title showdown with Hulk Hogan at WrestleRock. The Destruction Crew takes on the Power Twins. Tony St. Clair finally gets a one on one match with the Missing Link. All that and so much more. Ok, joining me now is the AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow. Brenda Britton walks out. Britton: You're excused Nelson. Nelson rolls his eyes and walks away. Britton: Hi everybody! Please welcome out the best C.O.O. in the business, Gerry Morrow. Morrow walks out in his suit and fedora hat. Britton: Gerry, the biggest event of the year, WrestleRock 90 is on the horizon and kudos to you and all your hard work. You're giving the world the most epic main event in wrestling history with Hulk Hogan defending the world title against Ric Flair. It's unbelievable. I understand you're out here to discuss another title match set for WrestleRock. I'm talking about the International title. Morrow: Ahhhhhh thank you for de kind words Brenda. WrestleRock is shaping up to be de grandest event in AWA history. And yes, you are right. I'm here to announce who Terry Taylor will be defending de International title against at WrestleRock. Boos as Terry Taylor struts out. He's wearing a suit, ponytail slicked back and the title on his shoulder. Taylor: Hold up just a second Gerry. Don't make that announcement just yet. As a matter of fact, don't make that announcement at all. Because it doesn't matter who my opponent is. I've proven without a shadow of a doubt that I'm the cock of the walk in the AWA. I've been running this henhouse for months and nobody has come close to taking my title. So do me a favor Gerry. Keep my opponent a secret. I'm just plain bored and this could give me a little excitement. So keep it under wraps, ok. At WrestleRock, the Red Rooster will come out victorious to the surprise of, well, nobody. Man, I feel great! Rooster! Taylor slicks back his ponytail and struts away. Morrow: (smiling) very well. If dat is what Mr. Taylor wants, that is what he will get. His opponent will be a mystery to all of us. Britton: Amazing! You see, everything happens when I'm around. Until next time, tooooodles. Commercial Break The Swords of Light vs. Todd Rooney and Clyde Putnam The Swords are in sync tonight. During the match, Vinnie and Good Vibrations come out to scout their WrestleRock opponents. Konnan hits a sidewalk slam and tags in Gama, who finishes things off with the Boston Crab. Vinnie and Good Vibrations laugh, shake their heads and wave their arms as if to say the Swords wont be a challenge. Commercial Break Mike Graham vs. Harold Bannister Graham puts on a technical display and wins the match with a back stabber followed by a crucifix pin. Nelson: Impressive win Mike. I understand you still have an open contract out for WrestleRock. Graham: Key word being still. You know, I'm not surprised nobody has signed on to wrestle me, because there's no wrestler in the AWA that can beat a true wrestling technician like me. I don't need a flashy moniker or cool looking ring gear. I get the job done in the ring with my sheer wrestling ability. I have a feeling WrestleRock will be a night off for me. And I thought this was the major leagues. What a joke. Commercial Break The Power Twins w/Steve Disalvo vs. The Destruction Crew w/JW Storm After what happened last week, these teams go at it hard and heavy. Both teams show off their tremendous strength and execute a lot of impressive power moves. During the match, Storm and Disalvo yell back and forth. At one point, Storm tries to interfere but Disalvo's on him. They fight into the ring while the match is going on. Chaos ensues as all 6 men start slugging it out. The Ref calls for the double DQ. The bell keeps ringing but they keep fighting. Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness a lot of bad blood there. That's going to be one heck of a 6 man match at WrestleRock. Ok, with me now is the Soul Patrol. I know you guys have something to say to the Olympians. Walker: That's right Larry. The Olympians talk and talk about honor but all they do is cheat. They've beaten us by cheating, but we're not out here crying about that. Jones: Oh no, we're out here for a solution. Since the Olympians love to cheat so much, well hey, we can play that game too. Olympians! We're challenging you to a tornado tag match at WrestleRock! That way you can cheat all you want and so can we. Nelson: Alright, the challenge has been laid down. The Soul Patrol leave Nelson: Now joining me are the reigning AWA national tag team champs, the Mavericks. At WrestleRock, you'll be defending your titles in a 3 way match against Latin Desire and the Jive Tones. The champs are wearing silver jackets with maverick horses on the back. They hold their titles up high as the fans cheer. Young: Both those teams have been thorns in our side for months. It's time to show them why we're the ones holding the titles. Embry: You said it Gary. There's only one way we can solidify our reign and that's to take both teams down at once. And trust me, that's exactly what we're going to do at WrestleRock! Commercial Break Leo Burke vs. Ray Glader Burke looks good tonight and wins the match with the sleeper. Hold on! Jimmy Golden hits the ring with taped fists. Burke turns around as Golden nails him with a punch. Golden follows with a fist drop. Golden grabs Burke's hair and starts hitting his head with his taped fists. Golden stands up and starts swinging his taped fists at the air. Commercial Break 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer vs. William Hillman Sawyer powerslams his way to victory. Nelson: (nervous) Buzz, I'm sure you heard the challenge made by Cactus Jack last week. Falls count anywhere match at WrestleRock. Sawyer: (Screaming) Jack wants to have more fun? (maniacal laugh) That's good for me because at WrestleRock I can beat him up all over the stadium! Yea, that sounds like a lot of fun to me. Sawyer laughs like a lunatic, which creeps Nelson out. Commercial Break Footage from last week is shown as Jumbo Tsuruta gives Superstar Graham 2 powerbombs. Nelson: With me now is Ray Stevens. Ray, that was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. The Superstar might never return to the AWA. I hope you and Tsuruta are proud of yourselves. Stevens: Hey! This is all on Muraco. We told him we weren't playing around anymore but he didn't take us seriously. Right now he's being a beach bum in Hawaii while Jumbo is in Japan doing some serious training. Do you think Muraco got our message? Muraco sprints out and tackles Stevens! Muraco just starts pounding away on Stevens with closed fists. Muraco picks up Stevens by his shirt and swings him into the steel post. Officials come out but Muraco picks up a chair and threatens them. They back off. Muraco hits Stevens back with the chair. Muraco picks up Stevens and slaps him across the face. Muraco hoists Stevens up and executes an inverted piledriver on the concrete! My goodness! Muraco stands up and looks down at Stevens. Security and Medics rush out. Muraco has pure evil in his eyes. It looks like Stevens and Tsuruta have brought back the Magnificent One. Commercial Break El Canek vs. Willie Lopez It takes a bit to get Stevens stretchered out of there. After processing all that, the fans get a treat with the return of El Canek. Canek's ribs seem to be healing fast as he looks tremendous tonight. Canek gorilla slams Lopez down and follows with a body splash for the win. It seems Greg Gagne and King Kong Bundy may have underestimated Canek. Commercial Break King Kahlua vs. Neil Jordan Kahlua hits a snap suplex and follows with an elbow drop from the top rope for the win. Nelson: After that fireball incident last week, David Sammartino says he'll gladly defend the TV title against you at WrestleRock. The sad thing is after that time limit draw at Title Night, you were probably going to get another TV title shot. I mean why did you have to resort to such despicable tactics. You're really luck Sammartino is ok and wasn't seriously burned. Kahlua: I was probably going to get a rematch? Probably doesn't work for me. It's high time the AWA took notice of King Kahlua. I took matters into my own hands and did what had to be done. Sammartino knows he was a broken man at Title Night. That TV title should be mine! At WrestleRock, I'll make sure it's mine! Commercial Break 'Lionheart' Tony St. Clair vs. The Missing Link St. Clair eagerly waits in the ring. After a few minutes, Link doesn't arrive and the Ref has no choice but to declare the match a forfeit. Nelson: Tony, I'm not sure what to make of all this. I mean, the Missing Link has attacked you on TV and at several arenas throughout the territory. For no reason might I add. Tony: It figures he wouldn't show up face to face. That makes him... WHAM! From behind, the Missing Link hits Tony with a headbutt! Link picks up Tony and rams him back first into the steel post. Link hurls Tony into the ring. Link goes to the top rope. Grabs the back of his head and hits Tony with a diving headbutt. Officials once again come out to stop this madness. Commercial Break 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair vs. Vic Dutro Flair struts and Woooos his way through the match. Flair clamps on the figure four and it's all over. Nelson: At WrestleRock, Hulk Hogan will defend the AWA world title against this man, Ric Flair. Ric, you and the Enforcers really did a number on Hogan's leg at Title Night. However, Hogan is rehabbing hard and promises he'll be better than ever at WrestleRock. Flair: Do you really think that matters at all to me? You're looking at the greatest specimen to ever to walk down that aisle. I'm Ric Flair and I'm custom made from head to toe. So, Hogan! Pal! You can do all the training you want. You can eat all the vitamins you want, and you can say all the prayers you want. But none of that will help you! You haven't got a chance Hogan! You're stepping into the ring with the most premier dominate athlete in history. You're not on my level Hogan. The only title missing from my resume is the AWA world title. And WOOOO! How great it will be to walk into WrestleRock and defeat the immortal Hulk Hogan in front of all his little Hulkamaniacs. WOOOOO! I'm coming for you Hogan and like I promised from day one, I'm going to win that AWA world title! WOOOOOOO!

Could this be the start of a Kokina push Poor Valiant. That powerbomb must've looked brutal Fun seeing the Bolshieviks get a push. They could get some good heat winning the US titles I know this is late in his career, but it's always a special moment when Andre wrestles on TV Love the event center promos mixed in. Classic WWF A Nailz squash match is always cool to watch Duggan advances with a win over his rival. HOOOOOO!

Yamada and Fuke kick things off with a pretty damn good match. Both men have bright futures ahead Paulson's slowly but surely rising the ranks. After a scare, Johnson comes back and shows off his freakish power The Soviets are such a cohesive unit. They're on their way for a chance at the tag titles. The Koslowski's earn their way to a shot at the belts. The Koslowski's vs. the Soviets is a dream match that will draw some big money and buzz. Zouev and Kopylov give the fans a Sambo clinic and both get a much deserved applause of respect from the fans. That was an impressive submission sequence by Zouev Props to Suzuki for hanging tough. Han's one of my favorites here and hopefully he's on the road to a title shot. Fujinami scores the fall and no doubt Sayama took notice. This was a brilliant way to set up the inevitable title match showdown. After a great night of action, the main event keeps the fans alive. Maeda and Ogawa get the crowd pleasing win but it looks like some one on one's are in the near future. This show was a lot of fun. I'm excited for the huge July event.

Watch out WCW, because the Varsity Club is back! JJ and Tully are bringing out the brawlers and monsters for battle Clash is really shaping up. Luger and Nikita have been on a collision course. Power and Glory vs. Owen and Bulldog could steal the show. I can't wait until Sting gets in the ring again. Looking forward to seeing how you book 90's Freebirds.

Only a matter of time before Gaylord gets his hands on Dutch Always love seeing two Mid South vets like Budro and Iceman go at it. Gilbert and his entourage defeat Dundee for the Tri State title. By dismantling the Guerreros, the Steiners send a strong message to Doom Hammer and Anvil, that just sounds like they were meant to team up. After that impressive win, we might see more of this team. Savage and Kerry give the fans their money's worth. Savage winning clean here is a big deal. Damn, I thought the Steiners sent a message, but Doom really went overboard here. Orndorff was really built up well for this match. Lawler makes the ultimate comeback, satisfies the fans with a piledriver and prevails. Another fun show at the Coliseum. Great job Kev

AWA Report Friday July 11th and Saturday July 12th Live on pay per view From the Metrodome in Minneapolis MN Brenda Britton: Hi everybody, here's your Wrestlerock update. AWA C.O.O. and my best friend Gerry Morrow has decided that due to all the chaos surrounding the AWA National tag titles, at Wrestlerock, the Mavericks will defend their titles in a 3 way match against Latin Desire and the Jive Tones. Also just signed, JW Storm and the Destruction Crew will face Steve Disalvo and the Power Twins. Here's some WrestleRock promos. Snowman: That Nell thinks he can intimidate me with words. Not a chance. Let's see how tough the Hangman is when I knock his teeth out. My soul belongs to me and so does the Hangman's ass! Vinnie: It appears the Swords of Light have signed to face my good vibrations at Wrestlerock. What's with their name? The Swords of Light? Is that some kind of positivity thing? Well, nothing's more positive than good vibrations and we're going to put a positive beating on them at Wrestlerock. YEA! Seattle Showdown! Let's do this! Sons take the loss but seem to have a long range plan. Douglas has worked his way up to a serious contender Sabu gives Bigelow a stern test but Bigelow goes on a rampage to get the big win and maybe a title shot soon. Thanks to DDP, Harlem Heat gets the upset win. Kawada is snapping. Poor Billy Blackman solidifies his reign by beating one of the toughest around. Dibiase has indeed invested well in the OWC WOW! Busick takes advantage of the circumstances and wins the TV title. I popped at the former AWA TV champ winning the PCW TV title After a brutal cage match, the Dreamboats finally get their moment. Austin caps off an incredible feud with a big blow off win over Awesome. That stun gun into the cage was an awesome visual. Night 2 I thought for sure the Citadal would win it but the Hexagon rebound Going the distance with Adams moves Vito up a notch Heartbreakers didnt have a chance against a determined Iron and Steel Another great blow off as Windham finally puts Lee down. Loved that bull rope clothesline Man, what's up with Kawada??? I wonder how Tenryu will feel about this. Hart takes down the PCW legend. Whoever this mysterious woman is, she sure knows how to put together a stable. Not that it needed it, but the LHW division just got an adrenaline shot. I was happy to see my guys the FOJ hanging with the MVC It's almost impossible to beat 3 midnight express members. Awwwww Slaughter gets robbed but that's ok because this door remains open. Another mega show delivers. Outstanding job!

Ole's not playing and he's definitely not afraid to get his hands dirty. High stakes match is set. Calis gets the cheap win but Titan gets another shot at Volunteer Slam Ole strikes again and the fans win because there's going to be an intense bullrope match coming Vampire and Kabuki freak the fans out. I like the different vibe they bring. Great segment with Well Dunn, Ellering and the Harris Brothers. I like that Well Dunn looked strong while Ellering's ominous words are heard. Batten's looking to make waves but I have a feeling Adnan's Kongs are going to wreak havoc. Cool move by adding the TV title to the Gilbert/Champion match. Scott gets the big pop and Bob finally gets a crack at Fuller. Volunteer Slam has been built up so well. I'm definitely buying a ticket.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 5-30-90 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight, we'll be hearing from the AWA world champion Hulk Hogan! The Takano Dragons take on the Starrs. Bobby Blaze goes one on one with Austin Idol. The Olympians face the Soul Patrol. All that and a lot more, so let's go to the ring. The Enforcers vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Massive boos as Anderson and Zbyszko enter the ring. They take care of business as Zbyszko hits a swinging neckbreaker and tags in Arn. Arn swings his opponent to the ropes and hits the spinebuster slam for the win. The fans go nuts as the Rock n Roll Express hit the ring and go off on the Enforcers! They swing them to the ropes and hit stereo back drops. The Enforcers stagger up as RnR stereo dropkick them out of the ring. Morton grabs the mic from the ring announcer. Morton: Anderson! Zbyszko! We've been hearing your empty threats for weeks. You want a shot at the world tag titles? Come and get it! We'll be more than happy to accommodate you at WrestleRock! Bring it on! The fans are up and cheering as Morton tosses the mic. Commercial Break The Olympians vs. The Soul Patrol The Soul Patrol aren't playing around as they control the early minutes. They hit a double suplex on Patera. Rheingans runs in and gets stereo punched back to the corner. The Soul Patrol continue to frustrate the Olympians. On the outside, Rheingans grabs a chair. The Soul Patrol put Patera down with a double back elbow smash. The Ref guides Walker back to his corner. Rheingans comes in and blasts Jones with the chair. Walker runs in and chases Rheingans out of the ring while Patera covers Jones 1..2..3! BOOOOOO! Commercial Break Footage from a house show is shown. Tony St. Clair is heading to the ring. The Missing Link comes out of nowhere and attacks St. Clair. Link works St. Clair over until security runs out to stop things. Nelson: I still have no idea why the Missing Link has targeted Tony St. Clair, but this situation is getting out of control. Ok, joining me now are the Destruction Crew and JW Storm. JW, you made it clear that you three have joined forces here in the AWA. Storm: Hey, you're looking at the future of the AWA. Just look at us... Cheers as Steve Disalvo walks out. Storm: Well, well, well. Tell me something Disalvo, what's a nerd like you doing out here with the cool crowd? I mean, didn't you learn anything from the beating we gave you a while back? The Destruction Crew are cracking up. Disalvo: Oh, I learned plenty from you and you're right about one thing Storm. Storm: Oh yea? Enlighten me you dumb goof. Disalvo: A man does need friends around here. And it just so happens that a couple of buddies from the gym have offered their services. Disalvo hits Storm as the Power Twins run out and pound away on the Destruction Crew! Disalvo and the Power Twins send Storm and the Destruction Crew running. Disalvo and the Power Twins bump fists. Disalvo: It's great to have friends. Commercial Break The Takano Dragons vs. The Starrs These teams have been feuding and once again things get out of control. Both teams stay in the ring fighting as the Ref signals for the Double DQ. Commercial Break AWA TV Champ David Sammartino vs. Clinton Stitch Sammartino hits the belly to belly suplex and it's all over. Wait a minute! King Kahlua hits the ring with something in his hands. Sammartino turns around as Kahlua throws a fireball at him! Sammartino turns his head and goes down. Kahlua grabs the TV title and runs away. Medics rush the ring to attend to Sammartino. Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness! That was a terrifying sight. We'll give you a report on David Sammartino as soon as we can. King Kahlua crossed a line tonight. (regroups) Ok, joining me now is Superstar Billy Graham. Superstar, it's been signed for WrestleRock. Your man Don Muraco will face Jumbo Tsuruta inside a steel cage. These two have been at each other for months and now things will finally get settled. Where is Don? Graham: Look here daddy, Donnie's back in Hawaii getting mentally and physically ready for Jumbo at WrestleRock. Boos as Ray Stevens and Jumbo Tsuruta walk out. Stevens: You know Muraco's running scared! He's hiding and won't even show up at WrestleRock. It's a shame because it looks like he left you all alone. Jumbo walks up to Graham. Stevens puts his arm on Jumbo's shoulder. Stevens: Relax Graham, just relax. We won't hurt you today. Stevens and Jumbo start to walk away. Stevns comes back Stevens: Oh Billy, I lied Jumbo clotheslines Graham down! Nelson is shocked. Stevens tells Jumbo to finish him. Jumbo hurls Graham into the ring. Jumbo runs in, hoists Graham up and powerbombs him down! Nelson: Ray please! Stop this. Stevens looks up at Jumbo and gives him a thumbs down. Jumbo hoists Graham up again and powerbombs him down! Stevens: I warned Muraco that we weren't playing games anymore. This is all Muraco's fault. It's all on you Muraco! Graham is eventually stretchered out. Commercial Break Carlos Colon vs. Trent Watkins Colon's pumped up and wins the match with a diving clothesline from the top rope. Nelson is still shaken up, so Ken Resnick has taken over interviews. Resnick: Carlos, I'm sure you heard the words from Col. Debeers. The man has declared war on you. I've been told that you two will meet at WrestleRock. Colon: Debeers! I don't think you know me very well. I've been attacked numerous times before. I've been in the most violent matches known to man. I've been in wars and I've survived it all! Debeers! I'm the one declaring war on you! Commercial Break Resnick: Standing here with me is Cactus Jack. Cactus, you and Buzz Sawyer have been in the bloodiest matches I've ever seen. I'm sorry to bring this up, but you've yet to defeat him. When will this end? Cactus: Buzz likes to have fun and so do I. I think we've been having a lot of fun together. I'll tell you when this will end! One more match at WrestleRock! Falls count anywhere. Come on Buzz, let's have some fun, one more time. Bang Bang! Commercial Break 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol vs. Bobby Blaze Blaze's is fired up as he hip tosses, arm drags and dropkicks Idol all over the ring. Blaze goes for his Northern Lights Suplex but Idol hits him low. Idol takes over. Idol executes a shin breaker and then clamps on the Las Vegas Leglock! idol wrenches away but the Ref is telling him to break the hold. Remember, Idol's been banned from using it. Idol gets up thinking he won the match but the Ref DQ's him and reminds him of the ban. Idol shoves the Ref, then starts stomping away on Blaze. Idol hoists Blaze up and piledrives him down. Idol gives a few more stomps before leaving. Commercial Break Resnick: Wow, tonight's been a very explosive night. I can tell you that luckily David Sammartino was just singed on the side of his head and will be ok. Still a big scare indeed. I also know that King Kahlua has been ordered to give the TV title back to officials. I'm afraid Superstar Graham wasn't as lucky. He's been taken to the hospital. Next week AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow will be here and he'll be announcing who Terry Taylor will be defending the International title against at WrestleRock. Ok, right now let's take you to the AWA world champion, Hulk Hogan. We see a rehabilitation center. Hogan is slowly doing leg extensions. He's sweating hard and stops. Hogan: Everybody wants to know if Hulk Hogan will be ready to go at WrestleRock. Oh yea, Ric Flair and his goons really did a number on my leg. It's been in constant pain and rehab has been tough brother. But let me answer the question and Ric Flair, I want you to pay close attention. HELL YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS! I'll be at WrestleRock! Nothing and I mean nothing will keep me from defending the world title at the biggest event of the year! And absolutely nothing will keep me from getting my hands around Flair's scrawny neck! I'm going to train harder than ever and I promise all my Hulkamaniacs that I'll be back better than ever! So Ric Flair, whatcha going do when the power of Hulkamania runs wild on you at WrestleRock!

Vader's on the path to a world title shot. Cool seeing Valiant up north at this point in his career. Him and Albano are a great nostalgic pair. Thanks to a miscue by the Russians, Billy Jack advances. Nice job with the quick promos to give your guys some shine. Duggan and Bart get in good showcases. Hopefully down the road we see Duggan chasing the IC title. Slick was smart to give Brown his space. Brown advancing is bad news for the other qualifiers.

AWA Major League Wrestling
AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 5-23-90 Highlights of Title Night are shown. Sammartino retains his TV title in a draw with Kaluah. We see the 3 team chaos involved in the National tag title match. Debeers interference costing Carlos Colon his chance at the International title. RnR retaining the world tag titles. The footage ends with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko attacking Hulk Hogan inside the cage. Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. As you just witnessed, a lot went down at Title Night. I can tell you that Hulk Hogan was just released from the hospital and suffered damage to his leg. He will need to go through some rehab and I've been told that we will be hearing from him next week regarding his world title defense against Ric Flair at WrestleRock. Tonight, Ric Flair, Arn Andeson and Larry Zbyszko will be here. You'll also see Buzz Sawyer take on his rival Cactus Jack. Also, the Jive Tones go up against Latin Desire. All that and a lot more. 'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thronton vs. Carl Kellerman Smith is all over Kellerman and wins the match with a superplex. Nelson: Les Thornton, I need to address a couple of things that concern you. First, a couple weeks ago, you stood in the back as you watched the Missing Link ambush and attack Tony St. Clair. Just what is your affiliation with Link? And it's just been announced that your man Johnny Smith will take on the Japanese legend Mr. Saito at WrestleRock. Thornton: I will certainly address your questions Mr. Nelson. I have no affiliation with the Missing Link. I saw what was going on and took great pleasure in watching the Missing Link give that traitor Tony St. Clair exactly what he deserved. The Missing Link is unchained, unhinged and uncontrollable. It seems St. Clair is in big trouble and that's fine with me. Now onto bigger things. Mr. Saito is making a big mistake coming to WrestleRock and getting in the ring with the British Bomber. If Saito thinks he's going to get to the top by beating Johnny Smith, he better think again. Mr. Saito will be a nice feather in the cap for the British Bomber. Good day Mr. Nelson. Commercial Break The Olympians vs. Neil Jordan and Walter Riggens Rheingans hits a gut wrench suplex and tags in Patera, who finishes things off with the swinging full nelson. We see footage from Milwaukee as the Olympians get a tainted win over the Soul Patrol, thanks to a loaded towel. Nelson: After seeing that footage, I'm not surprised but I'm sure a lot of people would expect better from Olympians like yourselves. Rheingans: Are you kidding us? You're looking at two men who represent the USA with the upmost honor. Patera: That's exactly right. You people boo Olympic champions but cheer clowns like the Soul Patrol. Clowns that dance out here in Uncle Sam costumes. It makes us sick! Cheers as the Soul Patrol come out. Rheingans: Well, looks like the AWA has sent in the clowns. Jones: You guys talk about honor but always resort to cheating to get a win. Patera: Whoa! We won that match fair and square. Sounds like the two of you are poor losers. Rheingans: Losers is right! Walker: How about we go at it again. Right here, next week! Patera: Sounds great to us. Oh, by the way, how's your buddy Tom Brandi doing? The Olympians laugh. The Soul Patrol get heated but Nelson gets in between the teams to calm things down. Commercial Break The Hangman w/Nell vs. Todd Rooney Hangman hits the Hangman's neckbreaker and it's all over. Nelson: (nervously watching the Hangman play with his noose) Uh Nell, it seems you've been scouting out the Snowman recently. Nell: AAAAHHHH yes, the Snowman. I've indeed had a keen eye on him. You see the Snowman is quite the physical specimen. He's very strong in body but the man has a weak soul. A soul that must be taken. They say only the strong survive (long pause) well, we shall see about that. Fair warning Snowman, you're next. Hangman stares down at Nelson, stroking his noose. Nelson drops the mic and gets out of there. Commercial Break Latin Desire vs. The Jive Tones w/Tiger Conway Jr. The National tag champs, the Mavericks come out to do commentary. The match is back and forth for a few minutes. The problem is both the Jive Tones and Latin Desire keep making comments to the Mavericks about getting a title shot. Then the Jive Tones and Latin Desire start arguing on the outside about a title shot. Chaos ensues as both teams fight into the Mavericks. The Mavericks get involved and once again all 3 teams are fighting. The match is declared a double c.o. Commercial Break Nelson: Joining me now is Col. Debeers. Boos as Debeers swaggers out twirling his mustache. He shakes his head at the booing fans. Nelson: Col. Debeers, at Title Night you hit Carlos Colon with a club and costed him his chance at the International title. As if that wasn't enough, you hit him with that front face piledriver after the match. What is exactly your problem with him? Debeers: I'll tell you what my problem with him is! That untouchable lowlife peasant thwarted my mission when he eliminated me from the Champagne Challenge battle royal. I had that won. The world title shot was mine! But that inferior peon Colon ruined everything! My mission has been temporarily derailed. Those things happen in war. But now Carlos Colon is the target! I will annihilate my target and terminate Carlos Colon. Carlos Colon! I wage war on you! Commercial Break King Kong Bundy w/Greg Gagne vs. Ray Glader Bundy hits the big splash and demands the 5 count for the easy win. Nelson: Greg, you might have thought you finished off El Canek, but I got word that he's challenged Bundy to a match at WrestleRock. Gagne: (laughing hard) Oh really? You know, I was willing to put this all behind me, but I guess that masked moron will never learn. He's a stupid idiot if he wants to get in the ring with this man at WrestleRock. Bundy: I can't accept Canek's challenge because Canek is no challenge! But I'll be more than happy to give him a beating at WrestleRock. Gagne: There you have it Nelson. Now, I really don't want to hang around with you anymore Nelson, but before we leave I want to bring out a good friend who's returning to the AWA. Trust me, nobody knows more about technical wrestling than this man. I'm talking about Mike Graham. Graham comes out and shakes hands with Gagne and Bundy. Gagne: Floor's yours Mike. Gagne and Bundy exit. Graham: It's nice to get an introduction by a true wrestling legend and gentleman like the great Greg Gagne. I'm here in the AWA to simply show everybody what a real wrestler is. Technical wrestling is my name and game. A wrestler with my skills cannot be defeated and I'm going to prove that. If anyone doubts that, just step into the ring with me. I dare you. Commercial Break Cactus Jack vs. Mad Dog Buzz Sawyer The bell rings and the brawl is on! Once again these guys just pound and pulverize each other. Jack stretches Sawyer's face while screaming. Sawyer comes back and bites Jack's forehead. Both men are bleeding. They go to the outside and fight all around the ring. Jack chokes Sawyer with a cable, then hurls him back in the ring. Jack goes to the top rope and crashes down with a knee drop but Sawyer moves. Jack hobbles up as Sawyer quickly powerslams him over 1..2..3! Sawyer gives Jack a few stomps. It looks like Jack is smiling and actually asking for more stomps. This pisses Sawyer off. Sawyer swings Jack to the ropes and gives him another powerslam. Sawyer leaves. After a couple minutes, Jack sits up, wipes the blood off his face and smiles. This guy is nuts. Commercial Break Nelson: Ok, joining me now is Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko. Massive boos as the 3 men come out. Arn and Larry are wearing jeans and collard shirts while Flair is sporting a suit. Nelson: We all saw what went down at Title Night. Hulk Hogan just got done fighting Stan Hansen in a bloodbath and you three obviously took advantage. Some would call that very cowardly. Arn: Well, we call it business. The opportunity presented itself to us on a golden platter and we took care of business. You're looking at the elite in pro wrestling. We took out the world champion and thanks to a most pleasant surprise, we cracked the heads of the world tag champions. Life's going pretty damn good. Zbyszko: Hulk Hogan is the biggest spudhead of them all. Right behind him is the Rock n Roll Express. Arn and my business is the world tag team titles. Those long haired girly men wanted to get involved and we took care of them. And now we're going to take their titles! Flair: On day one I said I was here for two things, Hulk Hogan and the AWA world title! At Title Night, I got to you Hogan! I put you down and out with the figure four, right in the middle of the ring. I'm the dirtiest player in the game and will do whatever it takes to win the AWA world title. Hogan! If by some miraculous miracle you make it to WrestleRock, then I'll do the same thing! Only this time I'll be walking out with the world title. The three of us are the most premier dominant group in wrestling. We're going to stand atop of the AWA, holding all the world titles. Hogan! Title Night was just a sample. At WrestleRock, you're mine! The world title comes home with the Nature Boy! WOOOOO!

First off, I loved that story about your friend training with Austin Idol. That's way too cool! Idol's always been one of my favorites and hearing that was freak'n awesome. On to the show, Ole lays down the law and forces the Harris bros into a fight with Kaz and Cairo. Harris's are looking unstoppable. It's so great seeing Ellering back in our game. If he's not with the Road Warriors, being in SMW with the Harris's works for me. The end the Bullet program is brilliant and will provide us with weeks of fun TV. Damn, here comes Rip Morgan! Something about the Gilbert/Champion program is so entertaining. Sometimes the basics is what works best. Bullet's fired up tonight! Simpson with a nice debut but Jimmy Jack really spoiled that. I'm glad Jimmy wasn't a one and done appearance. He's a perfect heel for SMW. Whoa! Vampire and Kabuki together will bring a dark and sinister vibe for sure. Titan's gimmick fits in so well here. Callis is the perfect rival for him. Bullet gets the big win but takes a beating Thankfully Scott arrived to save the day. This feud keeps getting better. This has been a blast to read. Can't wait for more.

Owen and Bulldog vs. Chono and Sasuke is one hell of a match to kick things off. Steamboat evens things up and makes Paul E's list. I'm still behind Varsity Club Rotunda Well, Diamond Stud definitely lived up to Ventura's hype as he decisively wins the TV title Too bad the street fight didn't live up to expectations. I wonder what's next for Sherri and Spivey. I liked how you called the El Gigante segment. It played out about as good as could be. Props to Tully. I'm sure this wasn't easy for him to do LOL The Rockers finally get the best of the Road Warriors in a classic. This was one of my favorite programs and delivered an epic blow off. WOW! Nikita, Pillman, Sting, Paul E, Samoans, Zeus, Gary Hart and Robocop! WCW 1990 at its best! I can't wait for the Nikita/Sting encounter! After quite a night, Luger and Muta cap things off with an awesome match. Luger's finally the undisputed champion. Great job in setting up a Steamboat/Paul E feud. I'm curious to see who challenges Luger next.

I've said this before, but Slick and Big Cat is a genius pairing. POP better be ready because the Bees have some serious momentum going. I never get tired of the Rougeaus heeling it up. Jake plants Tugboat with the DDT and advances You've built up Haku so well that I'm thinking he just might dethrone Warrior. Let's not forget, he does hold a previous win over him. Billy Jack puts his bad cousin down Loved that finish with Tito getting the win. I can easily see Heenan frantically waving his arms at Berzerker LOL It's been a great ride to KOTR with more to come
