  1. Night 1 gets Anita Baker and night 2 gets Reba. Let's do this. RnR going up against Badd Co. is a damn good match to kick things off. RnR advances in thrilling fashion. Freebirds get to play babyfaces and put on a show. However, thanks to JJ, the Andersons advance. Jumbo, Fujinami, Street and Dundee bring all the wrestling styles. The AWA champs are heading to the Semi's. Adonis brings the fight but Savage was to motivated to lose. Things shift quickly as Stan Hansen storms the scene! Wow! Adonis's flirting was one thing but Hansen pushing Liz down is on an entirely different level. This is going to be a war! RnR's sweet roll comes to an end at the hands of the Andersons. I know the fans were into this one. Cornette brings the heat with another classic introduction. The fans get what they want as Cornette not only costs his team but gets nailed by Fujinami. The Japanese and Andersons will go at it for the cup! Tully manages once again to escape with the title as Dusty gets the bittersweet DQ win. However, he does get the consolation bionic elbow on JJ. Tully defines heel LOL. Alright! For all the marbles. These 4 can get the job done and give the fans a good one. The Andersons are thrown off by the absence of Flair and the Japanese walk away with the win, the cup and one million dollars! I have to give a big thank you for putting my guys over! I thought for sure the Andersons were going to take it. The AWA will defiantly be talking about this. Looks like Brenda Britton will have to get them on her show now. Props to you and all the hard work you put into building all this up. Amazing job!
  2. Crockett Cup! Anita Baker gets the night going and we're set! Badd Co. vs. New Breed is the perfect fast pace opener. The Golden State Champs advance. RnR give the fans what they want as they double dropkick their way into the quarter finals. LOL, well, it looks like Brenda Britton was wrong on her prediction. Freebirds out heel the AWA National champs. One of the tournament favorites, the Andersons get pass the Renegade Warriors. Love that finish by Arn. WOW! Didn't see this coming. The NWA is moving on from TBS and heading to the USA network. Can't wait for 2 hours of NWA action. Nasty Boys get their shots in but eventually go down to Dundee and Street. AWA world champs represent well with a hard earned victory over the always tough Samoans. Nice touch with Fuji's respectful bow. Cornette gets his team warmed up with a proper introduction. Fun match with the Midnights advancing, thanks to the racket. Pacific is rolling tonight. Road Warriors vs. MVC ends the night with one hard hitting and brutal draw. We all knew it had to end this way. Both teams look stronger than ever. Awesome night 1! Bring on Night 2!
  3. Looks like WCPW is spending money wisely by upgrading. Things are looking good. Those sneaky RPMs pull one over, but this feud is far from over. Scott Hall makes an immediate splash! Well, Steiner and Rotunda put up the best fight they could, but thanks to the Grapplers, the Nasty Boys walk out the winners. Poor Scott Casey gets to make his debut against Kamala. Kamala is the monster he should be as he continues to mow over the competition. Red hot tag title match that burns the house down. Classic reverse decision allows the Rockers to keep the titles. If only Landel had kept his arm away from the Ref lol. Samoans get the win but if this leads to a Kamala/Snuka feud, hey, I'm all for it. I wonder what Rocky was thinking when Snuka wasn't there. Adams and Garvin battle to a thrilling draw. Adams was oh so close. "One more match"! "One more match"! WOW! Idol sure picked a good opponent for Race. None other than Abdullah the Butcher! Race overcomes it all by beating Abby at his own game. Idol's in trouble now. Spivey and Brown end the show with a wild, crazy and one hell of a match. Brown hits a loaded lowblow and that's bad news for Spivey. If Scott Hall is thinking about going after Brown, I hope he carefully thinks this through. WCPW is really coming together. It's been a blast so far. Keep up the great work.
  4. Jarrett scores another win as he looks to get another shot at Backlund. Wild Bulls put down Burke but Steel wants more of them. Steel better be careful. LOL, I'll never doubt a Pacific oddball pairing. Billy Jack is a man on a mission. Yea, Tatum and Victory better gear up. Rose gets back on the winning track ( the best way Rose knows how) with a nice win over Anvil. Explosive main event but I have to say, the highlight for me was Bock making himself a martini. LOL, that was priceless! Portland, Nice seeing Pillman open the show with a win. I have a feeling he's about to get red hot again. Tenta is on a roll! I really like the way you sell the wrestler's injuries. Anvil's plays the factor and the Guerreros take advantage. That 6 man tag was a straight up battle of tough guys. Nobody gets up from a Garvin ko punch. Steamboat gets an impressive win over Orton. Looks like Payne was only interested in inflicting pain on Windham. This could be trouble for the champ with OMG and Bock looming. Midnight's retain in a classic over Black Gold. Midnight's always have the advantage when the match goes longer. They never seemed to run out of steam. Eugene, The tombstone is getting over big time. I'm sure Young would agree. Regal might be in the brink of an explosive meltdown. Hennig's cradle plex always looked, well, perfect. Miller can pack a forearm blast. Game over, if it's loaded. My man, St. Clair defeats the young and exciting Eddie. Eddie comes out of this match a better wrestler. Badd Co. gets the best of TDT tonight. Battle of the big men ends the show in a hard hitting double c.o. Has Bubba met his match? Great week! You always manage to keep the matches feeling fresh.
  5. I'm with the others, can't wait for the Crockett Cup! I think it's awesome that all the promotions will be represented. I can't imagine what Crockett's bombshell announcement will be. Manny Fernandez comes in with a bang! I really enjoyed writing for him and can't wait to see what he does in the NWA. Deaton is a perfect fit with Bass and Bart. 6 man champs Street, Dundee and Haystacks better keep their eyes on them. Stud Stable keeps things heated with the Jayhawks. Always liked these show ending brawls. Dusty cuts another classic Dream promo. Him and Tully are going to tear the house down. Fleming remains TV champ but I think MegaMan has earned himself a rematch. I'll say it again. Great build to the Cup. The tag team tournament is going to be historic for this game. And as bonuses we get Dusty vs. Tully and Savage vs. Adonis. EPIC!

We'll be right back for in ring action. Commercial Break The Olympians vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Rheingans hits a backbreaker on Lopez, then tags in Kazmaier. Kaz swings Lopez to the ropes and clamps on the bearhug for the submission win. Olympians cut a promo and acknowledge they've been struggling a bit lately but assure the fans they're physically and mentally back on track and looking to get in title contention. Commercial Break "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly w/The Vin Man vs. Porter Stevenson Vinnie applauds as Kelly gets the easy win with the full nelson. The bell rings as Kelly (still has the full nelson applied) spins his opponent around and tosses him across the ring. Resnick: Vinnie, your man certainly has been living up to his Magnificent name. However, next Monday he will face his old rival, DJ Peterson in the first round of the tournament. Vin: Oh Rezzy, this is just like old times. Right Kev? Kelly: Well, well, well, DJ, my old pal, we meet again. I'm really going to enjoy stepping over you on my way to the world title. Vin: Rezzy, Kev and I have been waiting a very long time for this opportunity and there's no way that big dunce Peterson is taking this from us...Yea! Commercial Break Winner gets an AWA TV title shot next week Jerry Allen w/Tim Horner vs. Phil Lafon w/Richard Charland and Frenchy Martin The Ref clears everybody out of the ring, then signals for the bell. The opening minutes are fast paced and evenly matched. Lafon gets the upper hand and goes for a back drop but Allen hits a sunset flip 1..2..Kick out. Lafon quickly rises but Allen dropkicks him down. Lafon gets up but Allen scoop slams him down and follows with a jumping elbow drop 1..2..(Martin puts Lafon's foot on the rope) Horner runs over and pushes Martin. The Ref is distracted by this. Allen goes to the top rope but Charland hops on the apron and pushes him off. The Ref turns around as Lafon staggers up and goes to work on Allen. Lafon hits a vertical suplex, then climbs to the middle ropes and hits a knee drop 1..2..Allen barley gets his shoulder up. Lafon swings Allen into the corner and charges in but Allen moves as Lafon hits hard. Allen pumps his fists, grabs Lafon and hip tosses him across the ring. Allen picks up Lafon and hits a snap suplex 1..2..Kick Out. Allen body slams Lafon, swings off the ropes and hits a jumping knee drop. Martin gets on the apron. Horner runs over and yanks him down. Once again, the Ref is distracted. Allen hoists Lafon up for a suplex but Charland reaches in and trips him. Charland holds Allen's boot as the Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! Horner is a second to late as he goes after Charland. Commercial Break Resnick: Thanks to the numbers being in favor of the Quebec Coalition, Phil LaFon now gets a TV title shot next week against champ Nick Busick. Fans. I've been told a tag team will be making its debut right now but I have no idea who they are. There's a stir as somebody comes down the aisle wearing sunglasses and a tuxedo. Resnick: Wait a minute, Norvell Austin! What are you doing in the AWA? Norvell: Ken Resnick, I'm here to introduce to you, the greatest tag team of all time. Ladies, Gentleman, and everybody out there in TV land, let me introduce to you, Loverboy Dennis Condrey and Ravishing Randy Rose, the Original Midnight Express! Hot Blooded by Foreigner plays as Condrey and Rose walk down the aisle wearing glittered red vests. The Original Midnight Express w/Norvell Austin vs. Trent Watkins and Neil Jordan The Express put on a tag team showcase and win the match when they swing Jordan to the ropes and hit a double hot shot on the top rope. After the match, Norvell poses with them as they motion their hands around their waists. Clearly, they're here for gold. Commercial Break "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley w/Nelson Royal vs. Clinton Stitch Cooley hits the running bulldog for the win. Resnick: Nelson, your man Wendell Cooley has the tough task of facing Dick Slater in the first round next Monday night. Royal: Hold your horses Buck! I think it's the other way around. You see, you're looking at real cowboys. And unlike that fake poser of a cowboy Blackjack Mulligan, my guy Wendell Cooley is going to win the tournament and then go on to win the world title. Cooley: Yea, Slater is a real tough guy, until I hit him in the face. He's going down! Nelson's right. That fake wannabe cowboy Mulligan couldn't get the job done. All he did was embarrass cowboys everywhere. Well, don't worry because I'm going to come through and do what that wimp Mulligan couldn't. I will be the next world champ! Commercial Break The Bruise Brothers vs. Todd Rooney and Ray Glader All power as the Bruise Brothers mow their opponents over. Snowman hits an atomic drop on Glader, as Cameron swings off the ropes and nails Glader with a running double axehandle to the back for the win. Big pop as the Bruise Brothers double fist bump. Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the glowing pink "Beauty Shop" sign, then pans down to Brenda Britton. Britton: Hi everybody and welcome to the highest rated segment in wrestling, the beauty shop. (Looks at Yatsu) Yoshi, as always, you make me feel safe and secure. Yatsu remains serious and bows. Britton: Ok, well, as you all know, everything happens on my show and this week is no different. Joining me tonight, is a tag team that will soon be making their AWA in ring debut. However, since it all happens here, I wanted to get the scoop on these guys first. Coming out now is Terry Taylor and Tom Zenk. Taylor and Zenk come out wearing suits and smiling. Britton: My oh my, don't you two look dapper. Now, I know you guys have held gold together before and I bet you want to do it again, here in the AWA. Zenk: That's right, Terry and I had a championship run in Continental, went our separate ways for awhile and just like that we're back together and ready for another title run. Taylor: We've been in the ring with some of the best teams in the business and everybody tells us the AWA is the place to be for tag team competition. Well here we are and ready to go! Britton: Well, your words sound good but do you think you would have a real chance against say the National tag team champs Larry Zbyszko and Al Perez? Those guys are good and I don't think you've ever faced a team like them. Furthermore, they're going to the Crockett Cup and I know they're going to win it. Matter of fact, I think they're better than our World tag champs. Which makes them the best team in the world. Now, do you think you can beat the best team in the world? Zenk and Taylor look at each other and smile. Taylor: Hey, we have respect for both teams and we would be happy to face either team. That's why we're here. Zenk: We came for the competition and we're more than ready. Britton: Blah, blah blah. You guys have a lot to learn and when the day comes, the National tag champs are going to give you a real lesson. Taylor and Zenk nod to each other. Zenk grabs Britton in a dance position, twirls her into Taylor. Taylor then twirls Brenda around and dips her. They smile and exit as Yoshi walks towards them. Britton: (catches her breath) It's, it's ok Yoshi. (Gathers herself while trying to hide her excitement) Until next week tooodles! Commercial Break "The Tennessee Stud" Ron Fuller vs. Carl Kellerman Fuller simply outclasses his opponent and easily wins the match with the Fullerlock. Resnick: Next Monday night, it's you and old rival Bob Armstrong in the first round. No love lost there. Fuller: Bob Armstrong, we've fought so many times I've lost track. Well buddy, this one's for all the marbles. This time you're nothing but a stepping stone. This time, I end it and then its on to the world title. Commercial Break Resnick: (deep breath) joining me now is Curtis Iaukea and Carlos Colon. Thundering boos as Iaukea swings his kendo stick while Colon has his evil look on. Resnick: Ricky Steamboat is back and now you guys must face the consequences of your actions. Iaukea: Consequences? The only person who will pay is Ricky Steamboat! Our goal was to rid the world of Ricky Steamboat and now the fool has returned. It is Ricky Steamboat who will suffer the consequences! Colon: You've made a grave mistake Steamboat! Because you're still standing, maybe it was me who made the mistake. Next Monday night, I will finish my mission! Iaukea: That is a fact! Steamboat! Rest assured, you will not be walking out of the Mid South Coliseum! Colon and Iaukea exit. Resnick: Those guys give me chills. Speaking of that, next week Rip Morgan and the Sheepherders will be here to explain their brutal attack on Buzz Sawyer. I understand Buzz was pretty banged up but will be back in action in a few weeks. Commercial Break "Crusher" Jerry Blackwell vs. Vernon Mills Blackwell is all business and wins the match with a big splash! Resnick: Jerry Blackwell, you get your world title chance next week but round one, it's you and Gama Singh. Gama's been on a serious win streak but first I have to ask. Greg Gagne has been a real thorn in your side. Will that throw you off your game in any way? Blackwell: Gagne's like that annoying mosquito that won't go way. If he gets in my way again, I'm going to swat him down! Right now my focus is on the tournament and Gama Singh. Singh! Get ready cuz nothing's gonna stop me from that world title shot! Nothing! Blackwell exits. Resnick: Ok, a fired up Jerry Blackwell. Our main event is up next. Commercial Break Winner gets an AWA World Title shot at the Mid South Coliseum The Dream Machine vs. "The Master of Disaster" Kerry Brown As soon as the bell rings, these guys have a furious exchange. Fists are flying as they fight through the ropes and all around the ring. Dream swings Brown towards the steel post but Brown reverses it and whips Dream back first into the post. Brown grabs Dream and hurls him into the ring. Brown climbs to the top rope. Dream staggers up as Brown puts him down with a double axehandle 1..2..Kick Out. Brown swings Dream into the corner. Dream hits hard and staggers into a back drop. Dream slowly rises as Brown swings off the ropes and clotheslines him down 1..2..Kick Out. Brown swings Dream into the corner and charges with a shoulder thrust but Dream moves as Brown hits the corner hard. Dream regroups. Dream pulls Brown out and chokes him on the top rope, then rakes his face across the rope and snaps him back. Dream angrily stomps away on Brown and drops several knee drops but can't put Brown away. Dream picks up Brown and slams him down, swings off the ropes and comes down with a fist drop 1..2..Kick Out. Dream gets frustrated and chokes away on Brown. The Ref warns Dream but Dream just yells at him. Dream hoists Brown up and delivers a hanging vertical suplex. Dream slowly goes to the middle ropes and goes for an elbow drop but Brown moves. Both men stagger up. Dream takes a wild swing but Brown ducks and atomic drops Dream into the turnbuckles. Dream bounces back as Brown executes a back suplex 1..2..Kick Out. Brown swings Dream to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Dream kicks him. Brown wobbles as Dream punches him down. Dream follows with a standing leg drop 1..2..Kick Out. Dream yells at the Ref. Commercial Break Resnick: Ok, what a win. Kerry Brown will wrestle Tommy Rich for the AWA world title, next Monday at the Mid South Coliseum. Along those lines, joining me now along with Baby Doll, the AWA world champion Tommy Rich. Baby Doll comes out then presents Tommy. Tommy holds his title high as the fans boo. Tommy is wearing a T-Shirt that says "Wildfire Tournament" Baby Doll: You know the drill Resnick, don't say to much. Resnick: (rolls his eyes as he reads Tommy's shirt) What is that? Rich: Oh this? You like it? Look at those cool flames. I'm just hyping the big wildfire tournament next Monday night. You know I couldn't be honored more than to host the wildfire tournament at the Mid South Coliseum. Such sweet memories. Remember Resnick? The last time I was there I got rid of, um, what's his name? Damn it! Baby Doll, what was his name? Baby Doll: (smiling) Jerry Lawler Rich: (laughing hysterically) Yea! That's it! Thundering boos Rich: (Looks at the crowd) What's with all these people? Anyways, I just wanted to say good luck to the 8 men competing and I look forward to defending this here title against the winner at WrestleRich. Of course, that ain't much of a prize for them. Because I'm walking out of WrestleRich, just like I'm walking in, with this here title. Resnick: Ok, just hold on a second. As you just saw, Kerry Brown just defeated Dream Machine and will be wrestling you for that there title next Monday in Memphis. There's a strong chance, you might not even make it to Wrestle "Rock" with that there title. Rich gives Resnick a blank stare Baby Doll: What did I tell you Resnick! See, you speak and all you do is ruin Tommy's moments. Learn to shut up! Rich: You really are a moron Resnick and not even a downer like you can ruin my high. I'm a fighting champ, just ask that big dope Blackjack Mulligan. So, yea, I'll fulfill my obligation and beat that doughboy Kerry Brown and then it's on to WrestleRich 87! Show ends with Baby Doll smiling as Tommy kisses his title and holds it up.
  7. I like the revamped WWW. This show brought the energy. Things get started with a bang as Winnona takes the TV title from Singh. Looks like things are just getting warmed up between those two and their partners. Ashly Kennedy is looking to make waves. She's off to a good start. LOL, nice touch with the camera getting glimpses of Goldie's water bottle brand. Gotta keep the sponsors happy. Medusa beats Luna in another wild match and then chooses a submission match to end this once and for all. This feud has the heat. I enjoyed the heel vs. heel match. Puts a different and fresh spin on things. I need to book that more often. Poor Richter, she really has fallen. We'll see if she can pull herself out of this slump. Thumbs up!
  8. LOL, nothing gets by Bob Caudle as he puts Slick on the spot. Spartanburg Vice continues to look good on TV. WOW! As if the tag tournament wasn't a big enough draw, we're also going to get Tully vs. Dusty! Awesome! I'm liking Haystacks monster push. Super Rookie is gaining a ton of experience. Solid main event as the Andersons put down Good & Plenty. JJ shuts things down quick meaning he's fully aware of the Flair/Tully tension. Worldwide, WHOA! Ritter and Parsons do a serious number on Duggan. Big time heat! Damn! Look at those first round match ups! The game's best teams going at it. Doesn't get any better. Looks like Watts and Crockett will settle things with a Road Warriors/MVC match. That might be the hardest hitting match of the year. It's official! Savage vs. Adonis! I loved the build up. NWA is rocking its way to the Crockett Cup!
  9. Sorry Kev, I traded Manny Fernandez to Lowblow for Tom Zenk

Morgan and the Sheepherders viciously beat down on Sawyer. They beat him with the chain and stomp him into a bloody mess. Morgan then chokes Sawyer with the chain while the Sheepherders continue to pummel him. Officials try to stop it but the Sheepherders scare them off. Finally when Sawyer is passed out, Morgan and the Sheepherders exit, leaving Sawyer laying in his blood. Massive heat! AWA World Tag Team Title Bout Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami (C) vs. Lightning Strike Lightning Strike showed up with their working boots on as they are in true sync tonight. The champs gather themselves and come back hard. Lightning Strike just wont go down and keep coming at the champs. After 20 minutes, Fujinami and Jumbo execute a double back suplex on Allen for the win. Afterwards, the champs show Lightning Strike respect with quick bows. AWA World Title Bout Tommy "Wildfire" Rich (C) w/Baby Doll vs. Blackjack Mulligan Mulligan has the fans up and cheering as he takes it to Tommy with slams, elbow drops, backbreakers and some heavy punches. At the 10 minute mark, Tommy is bleeding bad. Mulligan scores several near falls but can't put Tommy away. The tide turns when Baby Doll distracts Mulligan long enough for Tommy to send Mulligan through the ropes with a high knee to the back. Tommy regroups and goes to the outside. Tommy swings Mulligan head first into the steel post, busting Mulligan open. Tommy hurls Mulligan back into the ring. Tommy spends the next few minutes working over Mulligan with bionic elbows, slams, knee drops and eye rakes. Rich chokes Mulligan on the top rope, rakes his face across it and slingshots him back. Rich thinks its over and sets up for the piledriver but Mulligan back drops him. The fans cheer Mulligan as he pumps his fists. Rich gets up but Mulligan unloads on him, swings him to the ropes and clotheslines him down. Mulligan puts his knee on Tommy's chest, grabs him by his hair and unloads with several more punches. Mulligan picks up Tommy, swings him to the ropes and puts him down with a diving back elbow smash. The fans go wild as Mulligan holds up the claw sign. Tommy slowly rises and Mulligan clamps on the claw! Tommy's arms are flailing and he hits the Ref. The Ref goes down. Tommy's also going down. Tommy is flat on his back but the Ref is still out. Baby Doll reaches in her purse and pulls out mace spray. She runs in the ring and sprays Mulligan's eyes. Mulligan releases the claw and frantically rubs his eyes. Baby Doll runs over and shakes Tommy. Tommy slowly awakens. Baby Doll helps him up. Tommy tries to clear the cobwebs. Mulligan is staggering around, rubbing his eyes. Tommy kicks him low and follows with a piledriver! Baby Doll drags the Ref over. He slowly counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOOOOO! The fans are in riot mode as Tommy and Baby Doll quickly exit. Winner of the match and still AWA World Champ- Tommy Rich Editor's Note- For some reason I kept promoting this event at the Monroe Civic Center but I meant the Dane County Coliseum.
  11. Dingo Warrior is more focused than ever. Just ask Fuchi. Cactus adds some fire to Barr. This could be a game changer for Barr in his feud with Eddie. Nice shout out to the Bullpen. However, Hennig manages to take down Gantner. Man, it's so good seeing Tatum and Victory back together. Jarrett rises the ladder with a nice win over Candido. Bock is back and wants to take down the Brigade one by one until he gets a shot at Windham. WOW! Konnan felt the wrath of Humongous! Vancouver, Billy Jack and Texas Red prove to be a powerhouse team by beating the Wild Bulls. Looks like trouble is brewing with British Steel. Tenta is really getting the best of the Playboy Club. Bock is one step closer to Windham. Rough week for Konnan. Bret introduces the Sharpshooter during a classic with Hector. In the anticipated title bout, Windham gets the DQ win but OMG does the damage. Kelowna, Tatum and Victory are for real! Big win. Orton gets the wind taken out of him by Adams. Big Cat beats the Anvil in a power match up. TDT keeps getting the better of Badd Co. but can they take their titles? Jarrett gives Backlund a tough match but experience wins this one. Black Gold keeps their red hot momentum going by upsetting the Midnights. Also looking forward to a Bubba/Steel match.
  12. I like the new format coming. Especially the mega events. You've done an incredible job building the WWW into a top promotion. Hard hitting TV title match to kick things off. Singh retains against former champ Peterson. Will Singh have enough left for the tag title match? Well, Singh does have enough left but the champs still get upset by Morgan and Misty Blue. We have new tag champs! The celebration is short lived as Singh and Bennett give the new champs a brutal beating. Combs fights off Maxine to retain the Dual titles. Damn, Luna really gets her point across threatening Madusa. Moretti and Nellie give the fans over 30 minutes of exciting action. Moretti retains in a classic.
  13. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 4-1-87 Footage from last week is shown as Ricky Steamboat returns and goes to town on Carlos Colon! Lance Russell: Hello everybody and welcome to another exciting episode of AWA Major League Wrestling. Tremendous show lined up as you'll see Dick Slater, Lightning Strike, Rip Morgan, the Glamour Boys, Gama Singh, DJ Peterson and TV champ Nick Busick. Corporal Kirchner takes on Ricardo Santana. And listen to this main event. AWA world champ Tommy Rich teams with Ron Fuller and the Dream Machine to take on Blackjack Mulligan, Bob Armstrong and Kerry Brown. Well fans, you saw what happened last week and now I'm happy to say, joining me now is none other than Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat! The fans get up and cheer as Steamboat makes his way out. He takes in all the cheers, smiles and waves, then heads over and shakes Lance's hand. Lance: (Smiling) Ricky, so glad to have you back. How are you feeling? Steamboat: Lance, it feels so great to be back! I feel better than ever and have a clean bill of health. Lance: That's great news indeed. Well, after what happened last week, it's obvious you haven't forgotten about Carlos Colon. Steamboat: That's right! Carlos Colon not only costed me the AWA world title but that piledriver he gave me on the concrete almost ended my career! For 3 months all I thought about was getting revenge and payback on Carlos Colon. That did nothing but motivate me. And here I am, better than ever. I've spoken to Jerry Jarrett and he has already signed the match. Monday, April 18th at the Mid South Coliseum, it will be me and Colon! I opted out of the tournament because I will not be satisfied with anything until I get my hands on Carlos Colon. Colon! Iaukea! The clock is ticking. Get ready because the Dragon is back! Lance: Alright, there you have it. Fans, lets get to the ring. "Dynamite" DJ Peterson vs. Neil Jordan DJ gives Jordan a big back drop, then quickly climbs to the top rope. Jordan rises as DJ puts him down with the flying shoulder block for the pin! The fans cheer as DJ pumps his fists to them. Commercial Break "The Beast" Rip Morgan vs. Milt May Morgan storms the ring with his chain, swings it around before tossing it. The bell rings and Morgan destroys his opponent before putting him out of his misery with a big boot to the head! Morgan grabs his chain and heads over to a very nervous Resnick. Resnick: Just take it easy. This weekend at the Monroe Civic Center, it will be you and Buzz Sawyer in a chain match. This goes all the way back to Big Brawl, when you interfered in Sawyer's world title bout. Morgan: And I would do it again! I told you, I'm the only wild beast around here and I'm going to finally put that puppy dog down with this! Resnick runs away as Morgan swings his chain. Commercial Break WRESTLEROCK 87! Saturday May 28th and Sunday May 29th from the Liberty Bowl. Resnick: WrestleRock 87 is coming! However, before we get there, the AWA has a stop at the Mid South Coliseum on Monday April 18th. On that night, 8 men will compete in a tournament with the winner receiving a world title shot at WrestleRock. Last year's tournament was won by Tony St. Clair. He went on to have an absolute classic match with Ricky Steamboat at WrestleRock 86. I'm expecting the same excitement this year. One name that has been announced for the tournament is set for action right now. "Unpredictable" Dick Slater vs. Charlie Diggs Solid showcase for Slater as he dismantles his opponent before finishing him off with a Russian Leg Sweep! Slater cuts a promo and says he wants the world title and he's going to run roughshod over everybody in the upcoming tournament! Commercial Break The Glamour Boys vs. Todd Rooney and Ray Glader The Glamour Boys head to the ring, slapping hands with the fans. WHAM! They're nailed from behind by the British Bombers! The Bombers beat them down pretty bad. They pick up Doll and throat drop him on the guard railing! They double slam Simpson on the concrete. Smith picks Simpson up and holds him as Taylor blasts him with a running forearm! Officials and medics run out and tend to the Glamour Boys as the Bombers head over to Resnick. Resnick: I don't know what to say! Just what was that all about? My goodness! Smith: We've been constantly overlooked but not any more! Taylor: That's right! We've sat back and watch those pretty boys get all this attention. Well, I bet we have people's attention now. Don't we! Commercial Break AWA TV Champ Nick Busick vs. Eric Limen Busick's on fire tonight and wins the match with his Spinebuster Slam! Resnick: Nick Busick, you certainly have a firm grip on that TV title. Next week, 2 more names will be drawn for a match, with the winner getting a TV title shot the following week. Busick: I promised to be a fighting champ and I'll defend this title against anyone, anywhere. It doesn't matter who wins next week because I plan on holding this here title for a long, long time! Santana grabs Kirchner and hurls him out of the ring. Santana goes to the apron. Kirchner staggers up as Santana nails him with a double axehandle. Santana picks up Kirchner and once again slaps him across the face. Big mistake! Santana takes a swing but Kirchner ducks, hoists him up and hits a fallaway slam on the concrete! Kirchner rolls back into the ring as the Ref hits the 10 count. Kirchner grabs his American Flag and circles the ring as Santana lays on the outside in agony. Commercial Break The camera zooms in on the glowing pink "Beauty Shop" sign, then pans down on Brenda Britton. Britton: Hi everybody and welcome once again to the highest rated segment in wrestling, the beauty shop. Yoshi, as always you look menacing. Yoshiaki Yatsu just bows. Britton: That's my guy. Ok, well, tonight's show might not live up to my usual standards. You'll see why. My guest tonight is a man who refers to himself as Crusher. I'm talking about Jerry Fatwell, oh I mean Blackwell. Blackwell comes out and him and Yatsu have a bit of a staredown. Britton: You better watch yourself or Yoshi will beat you up. Just relax big guy. Now, you call yourself Crusher but I haven't seen you crush anyone. Blackwell: Then Missy, you haven't been watching. BOOOOOOS as Greg Gagne comes out. Britton: Greg Gagne! Thank goodness! You saved my show this week. What brings you out? Gagne: Brenda, I have to agree with you. (Looks at Blackwell) She's right. You're not the Crusher Blackwell I remember. (Blackwell moves forward) Whoa, relax big man. I'm here to help. As you and all these idiots know, I'm trying to make the AWA great again. My chosen ones are tearing up the tag team scene right now. I'm the greatest TV champion in AWA history, but what I need is some muscle. I need some force. Blackwell, that could be you. You've gotten soft but I can bring you back to AWA glory. Come on, join me and let's make the AWA great again. Blackwell: Greg, my answer is simple. Hell NO! Massive cheers Greg and Brenda are stunned. Britton: You're a fool! Gagne: I knew it! You're nothing but a fat piece of blubber! You're pathetic Fatwell! Blackwell pushes Gagne down! Yatsu comes over but Blackwell gets his fists up. Britton: No! He's not worth it Yoshi. Commercial Break Gama Singh vs. Keith Rogers Gama hits a vertical suplex and follows with several knee drops. Gama swings Rogers to the ropes and wins the match with the sleeper! Resnick: Gama Singh has been racking up the wins of late. I understand he's in contention for the AWA International title. Speaking of that, AWA International Champ El Canek will be defending that title in Puerto Rico against Abdullah the Butcher later this month. I'm sure we'll get footage of that big match. Commercial Break Lightning Strike vs. Trent Knight and Richard Jenkins Allen puts Jenkins down with a missile dropkick, the tags in Horner. Horner swings off the ropes and hits a jumping elbow drop for the win! Resnick: After that display, Lightning Strike might be in line for a title shot very soon. Switching gears, this weekend at the Monroe Civic Center, Tommy Rich defends the AWA world title against Blackjack Mulligan. We all saw what happened the last time they met. I think Tommy was not only lucky to walk out with the title but was lucky to walk out alive. Well, get ready because both men will be involved in our big 6 man tag main event, up next. Commercial Break AWA World Champ Tommy "Wildfire" Rich/The Dream Machine and "The Tennessee Stud" Ron Fuller w/Baby Doll vs. Blackjack Mulligan/"Master of Disaster" Kerry Brown and "Bullet" Bob Armstrong There's a lot of hatred in this match. The bell rings and fists start flying! Mulligan goes right after Rich and pummels him in the corner. Brown and Dream Machine fight to the outside and all around the ring. Armstrong hammers away on Fuller. All 6 men keep on fighting. After a few minutes of this, the Ref throws up his hands and calls for a Double DQ. The bell's ringing but the fight doesn't slow down. Brown and Dream fight into the crowd. Armstrong and Fuller continue brawling in the ring. Baby Doll tries to attack Mulligan but Mulligan puts her over his knee and spanks her as the fans go nuts. Rich staggers up. Mulligan tosses Baby Doll aside. The final scene is Mulligan clamping the claw on Rich as Rich slowly sinks down.
  14. Enjoying Flair's slow burn to babyface story. Props to you for taking your time with it and really building it up. Trinity vs. Good & Plenty, talk about good vs. evil. This week it's Siva Afi who's Hansen's latest victim. Dusty and Duggan are a perfect America's Team. Adonis puts Adias away with the Goodnight Irene. Jaggers better get checked out by a Doctor after that finish. Man, that was brutal. Hase is putting that Scorpion Death Lock to good use. Savage attacks Adonis as things get hotter and hotter. Thanks to Miss Linda, Yamada gets a huge win over Street. YES! Ritter and Duggan go at it in a taped fist match! Ritter wins this one and I hope we get another. NWA continues to deliver solid house shows. Great job!

SuperBlast is here! Konga is "He", the story has come full circle. He does big damage to Atlas and Luger. Curious to see what Vader thinks of all this. Gilbert! I should've seen this coming. The man goes from ultra babyface to red hot heel in one match. Great angle. RnR get help from a Fabulous One! Crowd popping moment as they triple dropkick Hayes for the big win. Watts, Brody and Murdoch pull off one of the biggest screw jobs ever. Hold on! Ladd outdoes them by using TBS and Turner! I have to say I loved it when Ladd fired Watts as an announcer. This was such a fun ride. Gordy and Williams outpower Demolition to win the titles! Very creative way for Dibiase to beat Snake for the title. I loved that finish! 45 minutes of Reed and Lawler sounds pretty good to me. A rematch is coming! Great to see you back for the big show. SuperBlast was indeed a blast. Hang in there buddy.
  16. You know you're in for a wild night when Kamala and the Savages kick things off. Things kick up a notch between the New Breed and RPMs. One night in and Sherri already helps Budro get on the winning track. I love this pairing. I figured Spivey wouldn't walk away quietly. Brown has brought out Spivey's dangerous side. This could be bad news for Brown. Whoa! 3 Grapplers?!?! Looks like Rotunda and Steiner need another guy. This story has been a lot of fun. After an action packed match, the Rockers take down the Nasty Boys and win the tag titles! Huge moment. Jimmy Jam along with Precious are really rolling in Windy City. The Superfly has arrived!!! Once again the shenanigans work in Idol's favor as he retains against a fired up Adams. Harley comes out and the faces end the night standing tall. With both Harley and Adams on the hunt, Idol's reign might be in trouble. Then again, the Universal Heartthrob always finds a way to walk out with the title. Bring on Disaster in Des Plaines!

"The Master of Disaster" Kerry Brown defeated "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley w/Nelson Royal by DQ- Brown was in control when Dream Machine hit the ring and attacked Brown. The Ref called for the DQ. Cooley and Royal didn't seem to mind as they left while Dream got in a few more shots on Brown. During the match, Kerry Brown came to ringside and distracted Dream Machine, allowing Slater to roll up Dream for the pin. Brown then stormed the ring and got some payback on Dream Machine. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong defeated "The Tennessee Stud" Ron Fuller- During a ref bump, Fuller pulled out a foreign object. Armstrong ducked Fuller's swing and hit an atomic drop. The object flew out of Fuller's hand. Armstrong grabbed it and knocked Fuller out. The Ref crawled over and counted 1..2..3! AWA National Tag Team Title Bout Larry Zbyszko and Al Perez (C) vs. The Bruise Brothers The champs stalling tactics did nothing but piss the Bruise Brothers off. The Bruise Brothers went at them full force as they dominated the opening minutes with blunt force power. The titles were very close to changing hands on several occasions. The tide finally turns when Perez nailed Snowman with a knee to the back from the apron, Snowman then staggered into a swinging neckbreaker from Larry. Perez and Larry control the next segment with a lot of double teaming and quick tags. Minutes later, Snowman makes the hot tag to Cameron and Cameron totally cleans house. Bruise Brothers take control until Larry breaks a pin which brings in Snowman. Chaos ensues as the Ref looses control. Both teams battle to the outside and eventually both teams are counted out. They give the fans a few more minutes of fighting to close out the show. Official decision- A double c.o.- Still AWA National tag champs- Larry Zbyszko and Al Perez
  19. Brickhouse is always a good choice to open up a show. Miss Linda announces Street and Dundee will represent in the Crockett Cup. Watch out for this sleeper team. Pillman put up one heck of a fight but Young stops him with the DDT. Oh man, Black Gold scores another upset, this time over the Guerreros! Black Gold are in the finals. NO Way! Victory and Tatum are together again! Watch out! Big time upset as the Bomb Squad advances over the Hart Foundation. I did not see this finals match up coming but I know these young teams will deliver. Simmons gets his vengeance with a dominating finish over Payne. TDT gives Badd Co. more than they bargain for. However, Badd Co. pulls off a sweet finish to show why they're the champs. Props to young Jarrett for hanging tough but in the end this is Severn's domain. You're right, who can take the title from the Beast? YES!!!!!! Bock is here! OMG does the damage and Bock puts his legendary skills to use. A Windham vs. Bock series could be one of the game's best ever! The finals have arrived and these 2 young teams put it all out there. Black Gold wins it all! However, Bomb Squad also leave as stars. Great match! Another outstanding Pacific supercard in the books!
