It's amazing how quickly the bloom has come off the rose with NXT. It hasn't been my bag for a few years now really but I can see why people liked it as an alternative to the main roster. But now that there is a big budget alternative, NXT looks like it just can't shake that WWE stink.

I do think that they could do with a great Omega match on TV to establish him as a superstar beyond the base. They should definitely make up a nice video package from the Janela match for the main TV and build him up as a threat for Moxley.

1.14 isn't bad for week two if it can stabilize around that. Crazy that there's such a divergence in the demos. AEW absolutely destroys NXT under 34 but the over 50 fanbase barely exists.

The Bucks have said things about, for example, never wanting to do ladder matches again so I'm wondering if they want to use themselves to get enough teams over to the extent that they can have a strong tag division without them so they can be part time attractions in a year or two down the line. One issue the show may have is that it could be moved for some baseball game on TNT. There's currently a listing of AEW in it's usual TNT slot and also on TruTV, presumably in case it gets bumped. I'm not American and don't follow baseball so I don't know what the likelihood of an overrun game is or whether TruTV is a big downgrade but something to be aware of if you're watching on US TV tonight.

Allin vs Cima was really good fun TV wrestling the likes of which we don't get often enough.
