She got a good pop when she came out for the main event in fairness. But they've really not given her a meaningful programme to speak of since Mania. This Lacey stuff has just been them cutting the same promo to each other every week since about April. Hopefully a mixed tag run will mean she can at least do Seth's interviews for him.

I'm fine with a Seth and Becky mixed tag programme but they really need to burn off the Corbin/Evans match tomorrow because those are the epitome of dead feuds. They may as well have a big neon sign saying *DON'T WATCH OUR TELEVISION* if those continue for another month.

The epitome of a filler show with flat rematches and, more worryingly for WWE, a less than full arena. There's a chance that the workers go out to put on a great show to confound expectations but looking at the card it's hard to see where the good matches are coming from. Might be morbidly interesting.

WWE to BT Sport in the UK and Ireland is confirmed, ending their 30 year relationship with Sky. Both are subscription cable/satellite services but Sky is much more established and has a lot more customers. Viewership on Sky was down and they obviously weren't selling PPVs in anything like the old numbers so I can imagine that Sky would've lowballed them. But if AEW manages to get an established TV spot somewhere on ITV that basically makes them the biggest wrestling show on the UK market.

Kinda cool that they're bringing in Laredo Kid to work the main at Fyter Fest. I don't know much about the guy but he's clearly got some buzz atm and it's nice to see them doing something spontaneous like that and giving the guy a platform

If the guy shoot spat on Cornette during a match and he was upset about it, I don't really see how you can turn around and get rid of Jim based on that. Having listened to his Double or Nothing review before all that 'scandal' kicked off, I think it was a storm in a teacup and a whole lot of nonsense either from people who wanted to defect his criticisms or already had heat with him in the first place. I'm not some hardcore Cornette mark but I don't think he's a hardcore homophobe, just a guy in an insular business who used terminology that's a few years out of date. Hardly a cardinal sin and something that could have been quietly explained to him if you wanted to actually move forward on the issue instead of creating a phoney scandal.

Probably the most dramatic makeover of a big star was Sting's and both the look and the angle behind it captured the imagination and for me still does. Got over big enough to pop the biggest WCW buyrate and also gave him a look he could carry on for the rest of his career without looking as dumb as the more colourful attire would have as he aged.
