The Sasha thing is weird to me. On one hand, there obviously seems to have been promises made to her that weren't kept in terms of booking. But on the other, it does make her seem like a bit of a mark for wanting to quit over the fake wrestling belts as opposed to money or something. My conspiracy take is that HHH (smartest man in the business except for laying out his own matches) promises things to his NXT crew that he knows he can't guarantee so that they turn on Vince and then gradually more people in the locker room feel loyalty to him. Slow burn take over manoeuvres. Doesn't quite work out if they all quit and go work for Cody instead of course.

She managed to carry her husband to his most entertaining match in years last year so maybe a Stephanie appearance might have livened things up...

I know they're going to try to be something different but I would love if the TV managed to capture some of the feeling of WCW. I love the aesthetic of those 1995-97 Nitros. It would be nice to see some wrestling television with quality production values that doesn't just follow the Monday Night Wars TV format (or suffer from the modern day Kevin Dunn shaky cam shit)

Lots of speculation on Twitter that Turner is going to present AEW to advertisers as part of their autumn offerings. This guy is outright reporting it but I don't know how legit he is.

That's why over the last few years they've kinda paired back on having much angle advancement on those shows.

It might be a bit underwhelming if Paige's team was Mandy and Sonya since they're already been around for a while but I think they'd make for decent champs and could have good matches with the right opponents

People have pointed out from observing even the way they interact on screen that it's clear that they don't like each other. But if both know that their personalities clash, why not just stay out of each other's way and be professional? I know, I know, it's pro wrestling.

A year or two ago they did a match on one of these shows where it was two talented cruiserweights that the post-Mania audience should like busting their ass doing big spots in the ring and the fans were playing with a beachball. Like, what booking decisions are you supposed to learn from that? In no way am I saying that WWE's booking is infallible or anything. It's usually subpar in reality and the general atmosphere of the presentation is sterile. However, they've actually ditched their original plans for two of the top Mania programmes and went all in with the hot hands to give the audience two real feelgood title victories at the biggest show. That's something that probably wouldn't have happened even a year ago. So maybe a shitty TV main event the next night isn't really the biggest deal in the world.

Yeah, people talking about this driving fans off forever for refusing to give them what they want the night after we got three new top babyface champions is pretty ridiculous but some people are looking to spin a narrative as opposed to just looking at the facts in perspective
