Something unremarked upon amongst all the Raw anniversary talking points that I kinda noticed was how pointless Jeff Hardy's cameo in the poker segment was. He literally didn't say a word. Has there ever been anyone who was a star who was presented as that much if a nobody? I know Jeff is 40 and is probably breaking down but he could still be a guy who main events a Raw PPV in the veteran babyface role if they wanted him to. I know Matt looks like shit now but Jeff can still be worth something.

Also, the prevailing take (Meltzer, etc.) on that match was that it was actually bad and slow and not over. I loved it, though. I don’t think he is some fantastic wrestler at this point. I would just like to see him move up the card and see how he does with a big star. I thought the match was good but that's neither here nor there - I'm quite certain it was over and sounded like it got decent reactions in the building. His gimmick is over and he performs it well so he's worthy of getting a shot.

This felt a little like a rote Good WWE TV Match to me, moreso than the previous one where Roman got the belt. Still, the crowd was hot for it and the misdirection on the turnbuckle spot was great. If you watch this, check out The Miz's money entrance as well. He's incredible.
