[1990-06-09-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Interview: Dudes With Attitudes
Ugh I would have loved a Z Man Dude with a 'Tude here. This isn't very good, but I'll always give an A for effort, JYD and Orndorff were screaming their lungs out, good for them.

[1990-06-09-WWF-Superstars] Ted DiBiase vignette
Was the guy even in a prison uniform? I remember him dressed as a laborer. This was cool. Very cheesy of course, but it got the job done and broke up my watching a bit.

[1990-06-09-ICW-TV] Interview: Tony Atlas
There was some consistent talk about Atlas being brought into WCW, and was there in late 92 I think, but didn't last long. Really could have freshened things up around this time for the company. I like these promos, but the only match I remember from the set is the Onita match. Maybe there's a reason for that.

[1990-06-12-NJPW] Big Van Vader vs Stan Hansen
So whenever Vader tells the eye story, it's always that Hansen hits him in the head with the bullrope when he's coming to the ring, which doesn't happen in that match, but happens here, although Vader still has the helmet on, he motions to his eye several times after he takes it off in this one. I wonder if he just has the matches confused. Anyway, more double juice here, and again, this is enhanced by the previous wild matches, but I agree with others here, it's just a bit too long. Not bothered by the finish, since really there's not a lot you can do in the situation, but a clear step down from the February match.

[1990-06-12-NJPW] Riki Choshu vs Animal Hamaguchi
This was a pretty wild show between this match, the Liger match, and the main event. I really wish the whole show was available, as there's a Muto vs Hashimoto match that I'm interested in. It's a small tournament with semi-finals earlier on the card. anyway, this match is pretty good and it's hard to beat Choshu in a sprint. Animal jumping around off the apron was really good in helping the chaos of the match, and double blood can't hurt either. This works to enhance the previous match for me, and vice versa.

[1990-06-12-NJPW] Jushin Liger vs Masaji Aoyagi
Ayoagi is back from that Pioneer match earlier in the year, and one again he is bleeding like an absolute hog. I think this is a real feather in Liger's cap. A strange match but it totally works as a story. And now we've got a consistent match ripping narrative for Liger in 1990.

[1990-06-09-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Jerry Lawler
Was this whole thing done to make the analogy of a melting snowman? Seems a bit overkill, especially the cape and tights.

[1990-06-08-AJPW-Super Power Series] Mitsuharu Misawa vs Jumbo Tsuruta
Hmm, I haven't watched this match in years. It's only the second time I've seen it. The first was definitely a watch after a "best Japanese matches" search, so I had no idea what was going on. There were the two slaps in the ropes, but outside of that, the match stayed pretty under control, which was disappointing. I wanted a bit of brawling here, which may have undermined the whole point of the match, but oh well, after the 6 man pull apart I expected a bit more hate here. Anyway, I love the contrast in style of young vs old, and you can definitely feel the landscape shifting. I don't know if it was for this match or a different one, but I remember reading, probably on here somewhere, someone describing a moment where Jumbo gets a look on his face where he comes to the realization that he's being passed by, and that his role is changing. Definitely a match where the meaning and story outweighs the work itself, since I agree that the middle portion is a bit meandering. That's the hardest part to keep the people interested isn't it?

[1990-06-07-Hamada's UWF] Negro Casas vs Yoshinari Asai
I can't even remember, have we seen a Casas singles match yet? This didn't feel like a lucha match to me, it felt much more like a Japanese match, struggling on the mat, escalating near falls etc. Casas seems really tough and it feels like a real victory when Asai is able to get him into a hold.

[1990-06-08-EMLL] Perro Aguayo & Ringo Mendoza & Lizmark vs El Satanico & Sangre Chicana & Ken Timbs
Oh man, Perro Aguayo rocks. The jumping kind of Thesz press on whoever is on the floor into them brawling is awesome. I absolutely loved this match.

[1990-06-07-Hamada's UWF] El Hijo del Santo vs Fuerza Guerrera
Wait, this was only a one fall match. Just as I thought I was getting accustomed to things here, it changes! This was pretty cool. This match did help me articulate something though. I really enjoyed the snap and energy in Kendo's offense in the previous match, so for this match I was looking for that same thing, and didn't quite get it here as much as I would have liked. So from here on out, I think that's something I'll be looking for.

[1990-06-07-Hamada's UWF] Gran Hamada & Perro Aguayo & Kendo vs El Signo & El Texano & Negro Navarro
Wow so Kendo was really snapping off some crisp offense here. He was very cool, but Perro Aguayo was my favorite part. I really enjoyed him as a babyface.
