[1990-05-11-USWA Texas] Jeff Jarrett & Billy Joe Travis vs Dirty White Boy & John Tatum
Okay, I think I remember now that Billy Joe turned face in Texas, but was still a heel in Memphis, if I have that right? He's good here as a face too! Did I hear that his nickname is "Mr. Hot Property"? I'm really digging John Tatum, I say it in every thread. He's a really interesting character.

[1990-05-11-EMLL] El Dandy & El Satanico & Emilio Charles Jr vs Atlantis & Javier Cruz & Angel Azteca
Again, I liked El Dandy here. Seems like he kind of works a bit as a face in peril at the beginning? Some pretty viscous arm work on Javier Cruz. I liked the first fall. I'll agree with everyone else, I like these trios matches more than the previous one. I'm still feeling like garretta though, I'm having a tough time. Wait, why did all three guys have to be pinned? Has it been that way the whole time and I just haven't been paying attention? Anyway, the style is just so nuanced that it's difficult to understand psychologically, even after watching Americanized versions of the style.

[1990-05-05] Super Sonic Texas Wrestling commercial
Greg Ginn from Black Flag/SST Records fame starts a wrestling promotion after he moved to Texas huh? Didn't realize he had moved by then.

[1990-05-05-USWA-Championship Sports] Farewell to Marc Lowrance
This is terrible news. Lowrance gets a plaque commemorating his service, and he promises to put it on the wall in his church. Did he really become a pastor? Kerry seems a bit more together than usual here, so that's nice. Marc Lowrance, the consummate professional, tries to get some info about Kerry's situation, which honestly I forget what that is, but Kerry says it's Marc's time to shine.

[1990-05-05-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Louisville Slugger: Fabulous Freebirds
So this the footage we didn't get to see. Not as gruesome as they made it out to be.... Michael Hayes is dressed like some kind of Sam Kinnison or something. Jimmy Jam doesn't do much here, and not even a yeah yeah yeah out of him.... but Hayes cuts a good promo. Corny leading a rock and roll chant is great, and his little glanges to the camera are great as well.

[1990-05-05-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Four Horsemen Promo
The Horsemen are back at full strength and everyone is fired up. Flair takes off the glasses and Arn does the thumb across the throat.

[1990-05-05-NWA-Worldwide] Ric Flair vs Lex Luger
Teddy Long and Tony on commentary. Luger is really fired up, and it's the in-ring (I think) debut of the ponytail! It falling out during the match looks super ragged, it's awesome. Reading Loss's description up top, I really wish we had the Luger/Sting part, that's a pretty important moment in their history. This is clearly done to set up the angle, but both guys work super hard and have a hot tv match beforehand. Windham looks like a beast here and gets me pumped. Sting crawling away from Flair is a great visual, with Flair just slowly walking after him.

I love the nebulous promos. I don't care how confusing or esoteric they are, I really dig them.

[1990-05-04-EMLL] MS-1 & Emilio Charles Jr & Ulises vs Atlantis & El Dandy & El Satanico
I really liked El Dandy here, during the first fall, with who I think was MS-1? I looked down and got distracted by something, then someone was blowing a whistle and starting the second fall. That kind of took me out of it. Satanico was good, but honestly I was getting bored during it. I'm determined with this stuff though, and I thought El Dandy looked good.

Man compare these to Hogan/Warrior. Great illustration of the differences in companies.

[1990-04-28-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Capital Combat '90: Return of Robocop commercial
This is the same one right? We get a promo for Robocop 2 at the end. Robocop 2, pretty good. Not quite as good or as pointed as the first, but a good action movie with a great heel in the little boy. I'm trying to remember the name of the drug they're selling. It's something like "X" or something? I mean X is a different drug, but it's something like that. One syllable.
