NWA Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling August 1986
Paul E must have been doing some real work on that ref as he did not even here Kokina hitting two leg drops. Paul E has always been one of the best takers in the game. Very interested to see what Candido has against Bob Armstrong. Kernodle continues to be one of the interesting guys in the UWF Keep up the good work

8/2/1986 GARRETT COLISEUM: MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA (HOUR #1) The show opens with a video from this week’s event in St. Louis where we see Nikita Koloff slugging it out with NWA champ Kerry VonErich. In the end we see Nikita going for the Russian Sickle but Kerry ducks under it and hits Nikita with the Tornado Punch for the victory. Hello everybody. Welcome to UWF Wrestling. We are coming to you from Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery, Alabama. I am Jim Ross and my partner today is once again wrestling legend Jack Brisco. Well fans, you just saw it. Kerry VonErich once again defeated the Russian Nightmare, Nikita Koloff. Ivan and Ole Anderson come to the interview area without Nikita Koloff. Ivan Koloff: I am sick and tired of you Americans gloating every time your cheating ways cause a superior Russian athlete to lose to an inferior American. You never showed the videos of all the matches Nikita won! Jack Brisco: Speaking of the ex-champ. Where is Nikita? Ole Anderson: Listen up Brisco… you are an ex-champ also. We all are. This is a tough sport and you know that! The difference is in America we coddle our athletes when they loose. Give them a soda pop and a few cookies. That is why America is so soft! Jim Ross: Not sure that answered the question Ole. Ivan Koloff: Where is Nikita? That’s none of your business but since we have nothing to hide, Nikita has been called home to Russia. He will be back when they are finished with him. Jack Brisco: Finished with him? Ole Anderson: Ok enough of this crap. Let’s focus on what is important and that is what is going to happen to Kendall Windham and Mike Rotundo this week in the Mid-South Coliseum. Let’s just say that those do- gooders called the U.S. Express will be waving only one flag when Ivan and I are done with them and that is the White Flag! Match: The Demon (Brain Adams in a red mask) beats Doug Smith with the Full Nelson Face Slam COMMERCIAL Buddy Landell defeats Kenneth McGhee with the Figure 4! Once again, Jack Brisco went over to the ring to coach his pupil who really took care of business here. When asked about his recent success, Landell credits Brisco and we see none of that Nature Boy arrogance we have seen in the past. When asked about it, Landell deferred to Brisco who just said there is a time to gloat and we have not reached it yet. JYD beats Albert Denny with the Big Thump At the interview desk we found out that this week at the Omni it will be JYD vs Lex Luger for the UWF Southern Title. As JYD is fired up about his title shot and how sick he is about Luger joining Ernie Ladd, Ladd, Luger and Baby Doll stroll out to the set. Jim Ross: Ummm, Mr. Ladd… this is not your scheduled time. Ernie Ladd: The Perfect Alliance doesn’t need a scheduled time. We do as what we want and when we want. Now let’s talk about this title match between the Total Package and the Complete Dog. I mean come on. Did we not just see what happens to JYD when he faces top competition. Ted Dibiase just left him face down in the center of the ring. Jack Brisco: Caused by a loaded glove I might add. Ernie Ladd: Let me finish. I mean this is exactly what I am trying to prevent. If my people are to rise up to the level we deserve, we have to earn it. JYD has not earned a title shot. This just giving people things out of pity will never help us achieve the greatness we deserve. Look at me, pure greatness! JYD: (Howling at the moon) If you are so great, why you keep getting kicked out of places like World Class. Ernie Ladd: Because they aren’t ready for me just like you aren’t ready for Lex Luger! Even though the situation was tense, peace prevailed as we will just have to wait until this week at the Omni to see two of the biggest names in the business go head to head. COMMERCIAL Devastation Inc (Barbarian and Haku) demolish the Dixie Dynamites At the interview desk, we hear Skandar Akbar talking about the NWA World Tag Team Match this week in the Omni between the Road Warriors and his Devastation Inc. Skandar Akbar: Last week we heard an interview from Animal and Hawk talking about how I turned them in causing them to lose their UWF tag titles because we were afraid of them. Weeeellll Road Warriors, you seem to be mistaken. We aren’t afraid of you one bit. Just look at the facts. It was Animal and Hawk who ran away from the UWF cause they were afraid of my men. It was Animal and Hawk who refused to give my men a World title shot which we only now got because the NWA Board of Directors demanded the Road Warriors face us in the Omni. Oh… one more thing. Road Warriors…. Shine Our Belts! Atlantis defeats Jesse James with a Top Rope Plancha This masked man is really endearing himself to the fans as the love his aerial tactics. Atlantis is loving the attention and is slapping hands with all the fans after his victory. COMMERCIAL Before our next match, Doom is interviewed about their upcoming #1 contender’s bout for the NWA National tag team titles against Ernie Ladd and his Fab Ones this week in the Omni. Hacksaw Reed: How many times am I going to have to beat Ernie Ladd or his men before he learns not to mess with the Hacksaw. Ron Simmons: Fab Ones, you have bitten off more than you can chew here. Just watch what we are about to do to Devil’s Duo and maybe, just maybe you can talk some sense into your manager and he can give you the night off in Atlanta! Doom (Simmons & Reed) vs Devils Duo This one was all Simmons and Reed as they are just too much for the Devil’s Duo. Even when Sword and Vines used some questionable tactics, Doom just overpowered them. All of a sudden, Ernie Ladd leads the Fab Ones out for a sneak attack just as Simmons hit a Spine Buster on Sword for the three count. Reed and Simmons saw the attack coming and were ready for it. Seeing this, Lane and Keirn actually jumped down off the apron and decided discretion was the better part of valor. The two reams end up just eyeing each other. Doom is daring the Fab Ones to come into the ring but Ladd calls for the retreat.

NWA World Wrestling Council July 1986
This house show series has been great fun. I agree with Gordi in that WWC is the perfect place to have babyfaces act like heels after they have been wronged. Rotten Ron Starr is in a perfect place for him. I think WWC is a great place for Owen to get some experience as he is out of view of most of Canadian TV. He can return at some point with some much needed training and become the star he is destined to be. Carlos Colon is to WWC as Jerry Lawler is to Memphis. I wonder how big each of them would have been in other territories.

While I find it interesting that Hot Property is leaving as you have spent so much time building them up, I am looking forward to seeing who is coming in because you do great things with some other guys we never thought to use. I also think it is great that you have two stars, in Dibiase and Orndorff, who can be the main event any night of the week. Right now, they are so different in the way you use them but in real life I think they are very similiar in their ability to do it all.

UNIVERSAL WRESTLING FEDERATION (UWF)
Gordy Thanks for catching my typos. That should have been T.A. and Lawler making the save. I agree with you Lowblow that it is too soon for Doom but Rain did such a nice job of building Simmons up with him wrecking the Varsity Rush Club and Sullivan that I put the team together. Simmons was also the Florida HW Champion in 1986 so he did have success right out of the box. Putting him with Reed takes some pressure off him and also allows him to take some falls to slow play Doon just a bit... but not too much

MAJOR UWF SHOWS FOR THE WEEK OF 7/28/86 ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI: KIEL AUDITORIUM Sean Royal beats Killer Tim Brooks with a top rope knee dive. US Express (Kendall Windham & Mike Rotundo) beat the Cuban Assassin & the Iranian Assassin when Windham hit the Iranian Assassin with the Running Bulldog. This match really got the fans in it as they were fuming with the Assassins for their Anti-American rhetoric and then the US Express came out to Bruce Springsteen and “Born in the USA” and the crowd was hooked. Robert Fuller with Ron Wright beat Grizzly Boone as Wright hit Boone with a cane when the ref was distracted by the Tennessee Stud. The crowd still got what they wanted as Boone got even with Wright as he hit him with a Giant Splash! UWF Tag Team Title Match: Jeff Jarrett and Brad Armstrong wrestled the Long Riders with Ron Wright who was now in a wheelchair after the Giant Splash from Boone, do a double count-out as the Long Riders found out that the champs have no problem mixing it up. Jerry “the King” Lawler beats Honky Tonk Man with a piledriver and then to the delight of the crowd steals HTM’s guitar and cracks him over the head with it. UWF Continental Title Match: Terry Taylor & Dick Murdoch with Ron Wright (still in his wheelchair) wrestle to a 20 minute draw that was more fists than headlocks. Magnum T.A defeats Ole Anderson with a belly to belly suplex. Ole tried every dirty trick in the book by T.A. was hellbent on revenge! Ivan Koloff hit the ring after the 3 count to try and help Ole but T.A. caught him with a belly to belly suplex for his troubles. NWA World Title Match: Kerry VonErich defeats Nikita Koloff with the Tornado Punch. This match featured big move after big move and even saw Kerry survive the Russian Sickle by getting his foot on the ropes. Ivan and Ole accompanied Nikita to the ring but after they got involved once, Magnum and Lawler. came out to even out the sides. While Nikita and Kerry battled it out in the ring, T.A. and Lawler took care of Ivan and Ole Shreveport, Louisiana: Municipal Memorial Auditorium Atlantis beats Action Jackson with a Top Rope Plancha Scott Doring beats the Demon (Brian Adams in a red mask) with a powerslam The Fab Ones beat Memphis Vice when Lane followed up a Big Boot by Ladd on Bryant with a Superkick Buddy Landell beat Bullet Bob Armstrong with a Figure 4 in a rather clean match by Landell Big Boss Man with Jim Cornette vs Dirty Dick Slater ended in a DDQ as they both went wild. In the end, we saw Bossman hold Slater as Cornette hit Slater with the tennis racket and then Bossman clocked Slater in the back of the head with a night stick. JYD beat the Warlord with Skandar Akbar with a Big Thump NWA World 6 Man Title Match: The Freebirds defeated Steve “Dr. Death” Williams & Doom as somehow Buddy Jack Roberts came off the top rope with some sort of slapjack and clocked Ron Simmons in the back of the head. This happened as Gordy and Dr. Death were brawling outside the ring and Hacksaw Reed had Michael Hayes up for the Gorilla Slam. Roberts had given Simmons a low blow while the ref was dealing with the chaos and then he climbed the top rope and pulled out the foreign object and went to work. UWF Southern Title Match: Lex Luger with Baby Doll and Ernie Ladd defeated Iceman with the Torture Rack. Between Ladd and Baby Doll, the ref had his hands full and Luger took a few liberties with the rules. Iceman did go for one Butt Bump but Baby Doll actually grabbed Luger as he came off the ropes to prevent any contact. NWA National Tag Title Match: The Rock n Roll Express defeated the Midnight Express with the Double Drop Kick on Condrey. Cornette had jumped up on the apron and was about to use the tennis racket when Dick Slater rushed to the ring all bandaged up and grabbed the racket and clobbered Cornette.

Yes NWAR has folded twice since I joined here. The site says it will be back. I think Spaldoni was the last hold out there
-
1983 Project General Chatter Thread
Hawaii is fun to book. I did that twice on the other site before it folded. That is where Polynesian Power was big and they feuded with Farmer Boy Ipo and LeRoy Brown who were the Samoan Connection. Russ Francis from the 49ers was actually big there
-
1983 Project General Chatter Thread
I have no problem with but I must add that Hawaii was a diffent animal with such loyalty to its own that mainlanders were often seen as the foreign heel. One of our traditional promotions might not work so well there.

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling July 86
Very nicely booked card with some squash matches followed by a solid mid-card and then some must see matches. Go SBS! You have done more with Sugar, Kernodle and Kirchner then any of us and they are becoming major parts of this game. Awesome Twosome continues to move in line for a World Title shot! Nothing for Polynesian Power to hang their heads on this one! The fearsome Mulligan is the best Mulligan in my opinion. Bad News/KKB might be the match of the year in MACW! MACW has some real World title candidates with Dibiase and his stable

World Class Championship Wrestling July/August 1986
The first match set the tone for a great card. You could look at it as Spaldoni did with the success of Beefcake and Houston but I thought what is going to happen to Link with his mess up of headbutting Rogers. Nice of Wrestling 2 taking the fall but will Wrestling 3 wonder why he is taking advice from someone who can't win the big one? That is really funny as I swear I was writing this match by match and only glances at Spaldoni's first line and then we get to match three and all Hell breaks lose with Link and the Hotstuff group! Hopefully the Southern Boys and the Dirty White Boys will meet up in another promotion someday in this game as they are great 1990's Southern Feud material Is this finally the end of Adonis and Street? Not sure what I am hoping for. Loved Schults using the Spinning Toe Hold and then Adonis cashes in his "money in the bank" card! Perfect booking not to let that idea of a match anytime hang around to long as for fans to forget about it. The Road Warriors are great traveling champs right now and I wonder how the Sunday night dinner table discussion went when Fritz told Mike you have to take the fall!

UNIVERSAL WRESTLING FEDERATION (UWF)
7/26/1986 GULF COAST COLISEUM GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI (HOUR #2) The second hour begins with a video of the NWA U.S. title bout between Ted Dibiase and JYD where JYD seemed to be on a roll until Dibiase pulled the ref into the Dog. This gave Dibiase the time he needed to load up the black glove he was wearing and he knocked JYD into next week and gained the pin. JYD is at the interview area after the tape and is fuming about how Dibiase knows the only way he can beat him is to cheat! He goes on to explain that someday he will get another shot at Dibiase and he will take what is rightfully his. As JYD leaves the interview area, Cowboy Bill Watts comes out with a few big announcements: 1. The Road Warriors will be back to the UWF on August 2nd to defend there NWA World titles in the Omni in Atlanta, Georgia and their opponents will be Skandar Akbar’s team of Haku and the Barbarian! 2. The Freebirds will also be defending their NWA World 6 Man titles in the UWF and that match will take place this week against Steve “Dr. Death” Williams, Ron Simmons and Hacksaw Butch Reed! Ross shows us a quick tape of an interview from the Road Warriors. Hawk: Weeeeel, Skandar Akbar! Last time we were in the UWF, you had us stripped of our UWF titles! Why? Tell um Animal! Animal: Because you misfits knew then like you know now that you can’t beat us! Well one thing is for sure… We are going to beat every inch of you in the Omni. In the parking lot, in the locker room, in the stands. It don’t matter to us. You messed with our income. We lost money because you cried to Watts! Well know you are just going to simply cry! The Cuban & Iranian Assassins defeat the Memphis Vice These two are doing everything they can to antagonize the American fans from Flag Waving to singing their respected National Anthems. The end of the match saw the Cuban Assassin refuse to break the Castro sleeper after they got the victory. This caused the U.S. Express, Kendall Windham and Mike Rotundo, to hit the ring and make the save as the Assassins fled the ring. At the interview desk, the U.S. Express was all about love of America and that they will teach the Foreign Assassins a lesson this week in Kiel Auditorium. COMMERCIAL The Demon (Brian Adams in a red mask) crushes Mark Murray with a Power Slam Both Ross and Brisco express how scary an individual this Demon is as he is like 6’7 and 330 pounds of pure evil. Dirty Dick Slater defeats Lou Winston with the Figure 4 At the interview desk, Jim Ross is wondering where Jim Cornette was. Dick Slater: That’s a great question Jim. Last time I checked, he was my manager. The last time I saw him was in Jackson, Mississippi for my UWF Continental Title Match against Terry Taylor! Jim Ross: A match you lost I might add! All of a sudden Jim Cornette appears with Big Bubba Rogers. Jim Cornette: Well, guys I am sorry for being late tonight. I just finished a meeting with Mother’s lawyers and I thank you for taking the time to let everyone know that this week in Shreveport, the Greatest tag team in the World today, the Midnight Express, is going to take the NWA National Titles from those wimpy bandana-wearing losers, the Roc n Roll Express. Jim Ross: Well we had not even brought that up as we were talking about Dick Slater’s second loss to Terry Taylor. Jim Cornette: Funny you should say that as that is exactly what Mother’s lawyers had been talking to me about. Dick, I just wanted you to know that Cornette Enterprises has decided to issue you another contract. Cornette hands Slater a stack of papers which Slater quickly looks over? Dick Slater: Now what is this garbage. This contract is barely a quarter of my current salary. When I signed with you, it was because you offered me, the #1 free agent in the game, a contract that showed my current value. Jim Cornette: That’s right, current value and currently all you are showing me and Mother is that you are a loser! Slater grabs Cornette by the collar and it looks like Cornette’s eyes are going to fall out of his head in fear! CRACK! One night stick to the head by Big Bubba Rogers and Slater is a bloody mess. The bleeding is so bad, the TV puts a giant X across the screen to sensor it. Jim Cornette, once again full of cockiness, grabs the mic. Jim Cornette: As I said Dick Slater, you are a loser. Consider your contract null and void. You are fired! COMMERCIAL Steve “Dr. Death” Williams and Doom destroy 3 jobbers This was just to hype up their NWA 6 Man Title Shot against the Freebirds this week in Shreveport. Dr. Death reminds everyone that he and Terry Gordy still have some unfinished business and that there wouldn’t be any better way to get it then to take those titles. Simmons and Hacksaw Reed each take turns on the mic calling out the Freebirds and all three also let us know that Skandar Akbar is still on their minds and that he better be ready! COMMERCIAL Before our last match, Dick Slater comes to the interview desk with Terry Taylor. Taylor is angry at Cornette and let’s everyone know that his matches with Slater were really tough and could have gone either way and for Cornette and his mother to do what they just did was an outrage. Slater with his head bandaged up verbally attacks Big Bubba Rogers for being a coward and coming up behind him with a night stick. We find out it will be Slater and Rogers this week in Shreveport. The crowd begins to boo as Ron Wright comes out. Ron Wright: Boo Whoooo. This is ridiculous. All I am hearing about is Dick Slater got fired by Jim Cornette. What we should be talking about is Dick Murdoch. He has been on a roll ever sense the American Bash and is getting a title shot against you Terry Taylor this week in St. Louis. Hmmmm. I got a better idea, why wait. You say you are a champion of the people so why don’t you give these fans what they want. I think they would love to see that match now instead of waiting to St. Louis. Terry Taylor agrees with Wright and that he should give the fans what they want so he heads right to the ring. Impromptu UWF Continental Match: Terry Taylor vs Dick Murdoch with Ron Wright This was nothing more than a setup by Wright as he knew Taylor couldn’t let the fans down. Just a few minutes into the match, the Tennessee Stud, Ron Fuller hits the ring and it is a 2-1 beat down of Taylor as they try to soften him up for the match in St. Louis. From out of nowhere Dick Slater hits the ring and is throwing punches like a Wildman. Soon Taylor and Slater are in control of the ring and in just under 30 minutes Slater has gone from one of the biggest heels in the UWF to one of its most popular. COMMERCIAL Tonight’s show ends with an interview with the Perfect Alliance. (Ladd, Luger, Baby Doll and the Fab Ones) where Luger and Baby Doll hype up the UWF Southern Title Match against Iceman and the Fab Ones are looking right past Memphis Vice who they will meet in Shreveport and say they don’t care if the Midnight Express or the Rock n Roll Express come out of this week with the National Tag Belts because they are just so much better then both of them. Ernie Ladd: I shocked each and every one of you when I returned to the UWF. I shocked you when I signed the Fab Ones two weeks ago. I shocked you last week with a Big Boot to Iceman Parsons as Lex and Baby Doll came over to my team…. You have not seen anything yet. Ernie Ladd is getting readt to shock the world of rasslin!

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling July 86
MACW is a great read as always. Tiger Jeet swinging the sword and making Tony run away was cool. You know I am the biggest fan of Polynesian Power in this entire game but the might have bitten off more than they can chew with the Awesome Twosome. Great intro for Mark Lewin. Even though he is nearing the end, he was tough as nails. I loved him as the Purple Haze. Don Kernodle and KIrchner angle has some serious legs and is great for these two midcarders. Kernodle is one of the most underrated MACW guys in history as he and Sgt had some major battles with Jay Youngblood and RIcky Steamboat. Tough debut for DJ here and I can't tell which tag team, Hot Property or Polynesian Power is in more trouble I recently heard Jim Cornette talking on a podcast about how bad Paul Jones Army was but this version is great. Johnny Rich making a name for himself here in MACW and not hanging on the coattails of Wildfire is great and Mulligan is one big dude who would crush Valiant in real life. And here we go... Wildfire vs Sawyer. Nobody can resist this one!

World Class Championship Wrestling July/August 1986
And the twists and turns of the WCCW continue. I love the Adonis/Street angle with the winner getting a title shot anytime they want .....a la money in the bank. Those training videos , like Tojo and his men, in the 80's were awesome. I remember one with Tony Atlas and Kevin Sullivan. Terry telling Dory he was acting like Dad was cool.

7/26/1986 GULF COAST COLISEUM: GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI (HOUR #1) The show opens with a video from the Great American Bash from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas where Kerry VonErich hit Nikita Koloff with a Tornado Punch and claimed the victory and the NWA World Title. Hello everybody. Welcome to UWF Wrestling. We are coming to you from the Gulf Coast Coliseum in Gulfport, Mississippi. I am Jim Ross and my partner today is once again wrestling legend Jack Brisco. Well fans, you just saw it. We have a new NWA World Champion as Kerry VonErich defeated Nikita Koloff! Ivan and Nikita Koloff along with Ole Anderson come to the interview area. Ivan Koloff: Well Jim Ross, you just saw it. Nikita Koloff had the World Title taken from him by the corrupt American Buracracy! We all know that Kerry VonErich cannot beat Nikita Koloff. Jack Brisco: I think we all just saw something to the contrary! Ole Anderson: Listen up Brisco. You wonder why I have sided with Ivan and Nikita Koloff. Well you just saw it. You slip a few extra dollars in the Americans pocket and they will do anything. That referee might have made the fastest 3 count in history and you know why? Daddy Fritz! Well this week in Kiel Auditorium, Nikita Koloff will get his rematch and I promise you that outside of Texas, Nikita Koloff is going to win the NWA title back! Jim Ross: You might have bigger problems in St. Louis as you will be facing Magnum T.A. and after what you did to him at the Great American Bash, I know he will be looking for revenge Ole Anderson: Revenge? Are you kidding me. I have been in this business a long time and a lot of people better then Magnum T.A had a bone to pick with me but they all soon found out that I am the one around here who breaks the bones. Magnum T.A. is nothing more than a pimple on my you know what! Nikita gives one of his monster flexes as the three head off as both Ross and Brisco agree they would not want to be Kerry VonErich this week in St. Louis. Match: Sean Royal beats Doug Garrett with the Top Rope Flying Knee Drop COMMERCIAL Match: Buddy Landell defeats Mike Miller with the Figure 4! Two strange things happened here. First, Jack Brisco went to ringside during the match and gave Buddy Landell some advice when Landell went to slap on the Figure 4 and second, with Mean Mike Miller using some questionable tactics, Buddy Landell actual heard a smattering of applause. When Jim Ross asked Jack about going over to the ring, Brisco simply said that that Landell has a lot of talent and was just giving him some advice about a little tweak in the angle of the Figure 4! Jim Ross wanted to know if that mean that he was Landell’s manager. Brisco replied that he was more of a coach then a manager. Landell wanted Brisco’s advice on what he should do about the applause he just heard. Jack Brisco: Nothing at all! Just do your job. Never care about the fans. I was the same wrestler wherever I went. I was the same World Champion in each territory. When I went to Florida, the fans loved me. When I went to Oklahoma, they loved me. In Texas and the Carolinas they often hated me. I was the same but they were different. Be the same star whether you wrestle Mean Mike Miller or Bullet Bob Armstrong. There is a time to wrestle and there is a time to brawl. Let your opponent decide which Buddy they see. Oh, just so you know, there is a time to strut around and be the Nature Boy… When you Win! Grizzly Boone defeats Killer Tim Brooks with the Giant Splash! During the match, we find out that Kiel Auditorium seems to be the place for revenge this week as Grizzly Boone is taking on the Tennessee Stud, Ron Fuller COMMERCIAL Iceman King Parsons beats Ken Raper with the Butt Bump What a difference a week makes as the sound of “We Are Family” brings big time cheers. That is what being on the wrong side of Ernie Ladd will do for you. At the interview desk, Iceman apologized for once siding with Ladd and explained that it was because all he really wanted to do was help his people. He now understands that the only person Ladd wants to help is himself. Parsons then turns to Lex Luger who he will wrestle this week in Shreveport for the UWF Southern Title. Iceman reminds us that if it wasn’t for Ladd last week that he would have beaten Luger so this week he is real confident that he will become the champ! The UWF tag team champions, Jeff Jarrett and Brad Armstrong, come out to hype up their title defense against the Long Riders this week in St. Louis when out comes Ron Wright. Ron Wright: I would tell you two that you better get up nice and early on Sunday morning and get to church and start praying that you survive this week but then I remember you’re two Daddies didn’t raise you to be Christians. They raised you to be the two spoiled heathen brats you are today. Well when Ron Bass and Black Bart are done with you, you will start praying. Praying that the pain goes away! Oh, one more thing. Why wait till Shreveport? Jim Ross: Look out! Brad and JJ heed the warning and duck at the last possible second as Bart and Bass come out swinging their branding irons. A quick kick to the gut on both Long Riders followed by Russian Legsweeps on both Bass and Bart has the Champions looking good. With the Long Riders laid out, Brad and JJ turn to Wright who is in shock and takes a few back peddles before turning to run to the locker room. Brad Armstrong: No place to run this week in Shreveport! Jeff Jarrett: And he complains about how are fathers raised us! Wright was raised plain yellow Atlantis defeats Lucas Charlie with a Top Rope Plancha During the match, Ross hypes up the victory by Atlantis and Mil Mascaras victory over the Devil’s Duo in Jackson, Mississippi. After Atlantis’ victory tonight, the Devil’s Duo came out to attack the masked Atlantis but he beat them to it. As Jeff Sword and Doug Vines were still on the floor, Atlantis jumped up on the middle of the top rope and launched himself with a flying cross body block that took out both of his enemies. Atlantis left the Devil’s Duo on the floor as he headed to the locker room to the delight of the fans who were amazed at his aerial tactics. COMMERCIAL On his way to the ring, Honk Tonk Man stops at the interview desk carrying one of his guitars. HTM: Finally! It has taken months but Jerry Lawler has finally signed the contract to face me this week in St. Louis! The only time that coward has come near me is when he snuck up on me at the Great American Bash and broke my own guitar over my head. Well guess what Lawler. I got many guitars and this one is going to find your skull in Kiel Auditorium. Honky Tonk Man defeated Verlon Biggs with the Shake Rattle and Roll. Just as HTM went for the pin, Jerry “the King” Lawler” strutted out and grabbed HTM’s guitar and went over to the stands and gave it to a little kid. HTM was fuming but when Lawler dared him to come out of the ring and fight HTM backed down!

Very intertesting to read your house show. It is so different in style from your TV show with a focus on the wrestlers instead of the announcers. I enjoy both and you seem to have WWC down pat, at least for what I saw of WWC IRL.

AWA results for June 1986
I agree with your title of Independence Day Spectacular as it was just that! So well booked as Slaughter and DeBeers would have to have Boot Camp Match and the Sheeperderders are perfect for a barbed wire match. Steamboat vs Bigelow just shows the versatility of the Dragon. He can work any type of match

The American Bash has been a huge success and now in Dallas, we move into a new era! Great Bash event with huge matches, creativity and a main event second to none. From the opening matches to the Battle Royal to War Games to the the NWA title match, this card must have brought the house down. Just to brag a little, I picked Schultz to win that Battle Royal! Interesting Gordi. I was just about to say how much I liked the format. As for the show... the squash matches did a nice way of pushing your talent. Superstar and Sika is an awesome TV bout. Keep up the great work
