11/2/1985 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS Hello again everybody. Welcome to UWF Wrestling, coming to you from the Barton Coliseum in Little Rock, Arkansas. I am Jim Ross and my partner is Cowboy Bill Watts. We will be coming to you for an hour of non-stop action but before we get to the ring we have got to go to the video tape from Halloween Howl in the Superdome. Cowboy Watt’s, it is true that sometimes David really does beat Golitalith. The video shows the Rock n Roll Express winning the UWF World Tag Team titles with one of the most amazing finishes ever. Animal has Morton up and is waiting for Hawk to dive off the top rope with the Doomsday Device. Somehow Morton bends backwards so he is basically below Animal’s shoulders while Animal still has his legs hooked. Gibson rushed into the ring and actually dropkicked Hawk out of midair and with the speed Hawk was flying, it looked like Hawk’s head should fall off. Wham! Double dropkick on a stunned Animal to make sure he doesn’t make the save and the cover by Morton on Hawk! 1… 2… 3. When the video tape is over Morton and Gibson are at the interview desk and it is hard to believe that anyone could be more over then they were right now. The fans are going wild as the RnR Express thanks them for their support and that they look forward to defending their titles against all comers. All of a sudden, Paul Ellering comes out and he is as serious as a funeral and does say that the RnR Express did win the match cleanly but now they have angered the beasts that are the Road Warriors. We also found out that the Express will be defending their titles against the Road Warriors in two weeks right back in the city they won the belts in, New Orleans. Paul Ellering asks the Express to stay out and just watch the devastation that is about to occur. MATCH THE ROAD WARRIORS NEARLY KILL THE MIDNIGHT COWBOYS The Express were impressed but told Jim Ross they are never going to back down and it was their hard work that gave these belts in the first place. They promised to give it their all and asks all fans to come out and support them. This only seemed to endear them more to the audience. COMMERCIAL Before his non-title match, Steve “Dr. Death” Williams stops by the interview desk. Dr. Death: Every had written me off. Said Kamala was unstoppable, they gave me no chance at keeping this title. Well here I am, belt and all. Akbar! Kamala! We got some unfinished business. Last time I put you into the steel barricade. This week in Jackson. I am going to put you through it! Cowboy Bill Watts: Hey listen Dr. Death, while many people thought you were in some real trouble against Kamala, you know I was not one of them. We have been through a lot recently and I have told you how much I respect what you did to that snake Ted Dibiase and I have got your back in this war you are beginning with Skandar Akbar and Devastation Inc. MATCH STEVE “DR. DEATH” WILLIAMS DEFEATS GEORGE RIDDELL WITH A SPEAR As soon as the match was over, Akbar led the entire Devastation Inc. out to attack Williams. Williams gave it his all and a got a few good shots in on Kamala, Haku and Meng but the numbers game got the best of him. Dr. Death took it pretty good until the cavalry of Hacksaw Duggan and Dusty Rhodes made the save. Dusty Rhodes: Ooooooohhhh Baaaaaby! The evil is all around us. Akbar, Kaaaamaaaala, the Russians. Naakita! Ivan and yes even you too Mr. Wrastlin II. But guess what. We are making our own brotherhood. We got each other’s backs. Good is going to survive! America is going to come out on top! Dusty hugs Dr. Death and Hacksaw and the three seem ready for anything. MATCH “CRIPPLER” RIP OLIVER DEFEATS MIKE GRAHAM WITH A GRAB OF THE TIGHTS FOLLOWING A SUPLEX As the match ends, and the Crippler is walking back behind the curtain where we see Skandar Akbar put his arm around, Oliver. COMMERCIAL MATCH NIKITA KOLOFF WITH UNCLE IVAN USES THE RUSSIAN SICKLE FOR A STRETCHER JOB ON RICKY GIBSON The Rock n Roll Express quickly rush out as Robert Gibson makes sure nothing else is done to his injured brother as Ivan, Nikita and Vlad Koloff make their way to the interview area. Ivan Koloff: Dusty Rhodes. You got a big mouth and a lot of guts but you are not very smart. Every time you open your mouth, Nikita has shut it for you! I have an idea for you. You talk about America dis and dat and how superior your country is to Russia. Well this week in Jackson, Mississippi, how about you get two more of your dumb Americans and you face the Koloffs in a flag match! Basically, as you Americans call it; we will play capture the flag. Winning team captures the others flag. Dusty Rhodes does not hesitate and comes right out to accept the challenge and he says he can think of two more Americans ready to shut you Russians up and they are in the ring right now helping an injured brother. The Rock n Roll Express nod to Dusty and the match is set as the World Tag Team Champions will be Dusty’s partners. MATCH THE BRUISE BROTHERS (PORKCHOP CASH & MAD DOG BOYD) ENTERTAIN THE FANS WITH A WIN OVER TOM STONE & LEO DELL AS BOYD HIT A GIANT SPLASH! COMMERCIAL MR. WRESTLING II DEFEATS WENDELL COOLEY IN AN ANYTHING GOES STREETFIGHT AS SHANE DOUGLAS HITS THE RING FOR A SERIES OF NASTY DOUBLE TEAMING LOADED KNEE LIFTS. Cowboy Bill Watts comes out and is sick and tired about how Mr. Wrestling II and Shane Douglas think that it is ok to just do whatever they want and that every time one is involved in a match, it seems the other is involved. Watts let’s Mr. Wrestling II know that he has a match this week in Jackson, Mississippi against a newcomer to the UWF…. One Big Daddy Ritter and if Shane Douglas gets involved, he will be suspended indefinitely. Mr. Wrestling II does seem to care as he can’t wait to beat up on another of Watt’s young whippersnappers! Jim Ross: Well what a show it is going to be this week in Jackson, Mississippi at the Mississippi Coliseum. So long from Little Rock.

UWF adds "Dirty" Dan Denton" to the roster.

No problem, I just saw 84 as the debut year on Wrestlingdata.com I will pick up somebody else.

UWF has sent the Kiwi Sheepherders to PR. To fill the roster spots, I would like to pick up Samoan LeRoy Brown and Chris Romero. Romero was a rookie in 84 and is the brother of Mark Younblood (Mark Romero) I do not think anyone has him on their roster but if you do, please let me know.

LOUISIANA SUPERDOME OCTOBER 31,1985 Welcome to Halloween Howl II in the Louisiana Superdome. I am Jim Ross and my partner for this UWF special is the one and only Lance Russell. What a night we have for you as there will be a $50,000 World Tag Team Title Tournament where the winner not only gets the money, they also walk out as UWF World Tag Team Champion! Lance Russell: And that’s not all folks. It will be Shane Douglas vs Wendell Cooley in a Louisiana Street fight. Steve “Dr. Death” Williams will be defending the United States Championship against “the Ugandan Giant, Kamala. Hacksaw Butch Reed will be putting his North American championship on the line against Terry Taylor and let’s not forget the big one…. UWF VS AWA as Jerry “the King” Lawler puts his title on the line against his old nemesis, Nick Bockwinkle ROUND 1: TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT The Rock n Roll Express vs Fuller’s Fab Ones (Tommy Rich & Austin Idol) with Ron Fuller A typical Rock n Roll Express match here where they get off to a quick start and then Morton gets caught in the wrong corner followed by a daring escape to tag in Gibson and then the match goes wild. Fuller saw that his team was in trouble and got up on the apron. To the delight of the fans, he was double drop kicked to the floor. The distraction allowed Tommy Rich to scoop up Morton for a body slam but Morton wiggled free and went for a roll up for the pin where he got the 3 count. The Midnight Express with Jim Cornette vs Stan Hansen & Bruiser Brody Brody and Hansen dominate for the first 5 minutes but a Cornette distraction allowed for a nasty low blow by Condrey on Hansen. Brody rushed the ring but was forced out by the ref. This gave Cornette time for a tennis racket shot on Bruiser. Condrey tagged in Eaton for the Alabama Jamma for the win. The fans seemed upset at Cornette’s shenanigans but they were also disappointed that we did not get to the third go around between Brody and Hansen vs the Road Warriors! The Road Warriors with Paul Ellering vs Tennessee Stud Stable (Robert Fuller & Jimmy Golden) Not that this was completely one sided but it always seemed like the Road Warriors were going to come out on top. The end came when the Warriors hit a Doomsday Device on Jimmy Golden. Ivan & Nikita Koloff vs Dusty Rhodes & Hacksaw Jim Duggan Not sure if this was a wrestling match or a war of good versus evil. Russia vs the United States always sells but add the Koloffs against the patriotic team of Dusty and Duggan and we got everyone on the edge of their seats. This doesn’t resemble wrestling at all as it is a street fight from the opening bell. Nikita is a beast and Ivan is the experienced veteran who knows his way around the ring. It seemed like Dusty and Duggan were going to fall as Dusty did a great job a playing the face in peril. He does make the tag to Duggan who comes in like a house afire but Nikita no sells blow after blow! Jim Ross is in shock here and wonders if this man is truly human. Dusty recovers enough and hits Nikita with a Bionic Elbow! Nothing! The only thing that stopped Nikita is that he went absolutely nuts. Russian Sickle on Duggan and he is down! Russian Sickle on Rhodes and he is down! The ref is trying to get control of the match! Russian Sickle on the ref! Nikita has the Russian Chain and is beating Rhodes! Beating Duggan! Other officials rush to ring side and call for the bell! The Russians are DQ but it just might be the most dominate in-ring performance by one man in UWF history! Jim Ross and Lance Russell wonder if anyone is safe! UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH Hacksaw Butch Reed with Ernie Ladd vs Terry Taylor We get a good back and forth here for about 10 minutes or so until Hacksaw went for a spear and missed but hit the steel ring post. As Hacksaw stumbled back he was caught in the Chicken Wing! Reed somehow back-peddled into the ropes and forced the break saving his title. With Reed’s arm damaged, Taylor went to work until Reed grabbed him by the tights and tossed him to the floor. As the ref admonished Reed, Ladd went to work with a Big Boot! Ladd tossed Taylor back into the ring where this time Reed didn’t miss the spear and gained the victory. Lance Russell: Enough is enough. The Nation of Domination is dominating due to a numbers game. Ladd must be stopped! Terry Taylor had this match won but leaves a loser because of one of the dirtiest players in the game! TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS The Rock n Roll Express vs The Midnight Express As you would expect the first 15 minutes are predictable. From the heat brought by Cornette’s entrance to how over the Rock n Roll Express were with the first chord of Rock n Roll All Night was heard from the speakers. Some great chain wrestling and running of the ropes gives the RnR Express the early advantage followed by some questionable tactics put Ricky Morton in peril. Morton gets back on equal ground as whips Eaton into the ropes. As Eaton comes off the ropes, it looks like he was going to crash into ref Pee Wee Anderson who actually leap frogged Eaton. WHAM! A big drop kick by Morton and a tag to Gibson who comes in like a house afire. Cornette is screaming how Pee Wee Anderson is on the take and is helping the Rock n Roll Express. Things are bonzo gonzo now as all 4 are in the ring. Condrey and Morton are in the corner and Anderson is trying to get them out of the ring as they are not the legal wrestlers. Cornette sees this as his chance. Eaton grabs Gibson and here comes the tennis racket shot! WHAM! Gibson escapes at the last second and Cornette crushes his own man. WHAM! Gibson punches Cornette! Gibson grabs the racket and clocks Eaton again for good measure and goes for the cover. Pee Wee Anderson turns just at the right moment and the Rock n Roll Express move on to the finals! The Road Warriors vs Dusty Rhodes & Hacksaw Jim Duggan While this should be a main event anywhere in the country, the damage done by the Koloffs is just too much to overcome. The Road Warriors are tough enough when you are at full strength but here they were just unstoppable. Rhodes and Duggan gave it their all but the end came after Rhodes was laid out on the outside and Duggan was crushed with a Doomsday Device. Lance Russell and Jim Ross really hype up the Road Warriors/ Rock n Roll Express final as they feel these are the two greatest teams in all of wrestling. NORTH AMERICAN TITLE MATCH Steve “Dr. Death” Williams vs Kamala with Skandar Akbar Kamala has been unstoppable in the UWF since he first arrived and as this match begins, it appears that it will be no different. After numerous chops, savat kicks and nerve holds, the Ugandan Giant went for the Big Splash but Dr. Death rolled away at the last second. As both struggled to their feet, Akbar was up on the apron only to be caught by Dr. Death with a huge right hand. Akbar feel to the floor and Williams turned as saw Kamala staggering on the ropes! WHAM! Jim Ross: Oh baw gawd! The carnage. Dr. Death has just speared Kamala through the middle rope and out onto the cement floor. Neither men seem to be moving. As the ref competes the double countout, both men are on their feet and the brawl is on. It continues all the way back to the concession stand as the locker room empties to get this two men apart. Lance Russell: Wow! That was something and I guarantee you that neither man is satisfied with this decision! TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT FINALS The Road Warriors vs The Rock n Roll Express As Bill Apter will write later this month, this match has the lead for tag team match of the year. It is speed and trickery versus pure power! After each huge power move, it is like the Rock n Roll Express are just trying to survive then and then they get a little momentum before they are crushed again. Those few times when the Rock n Roll Express do get control of the match, you see the respect that both Animal and Hawk have for them as they are really selling each and every move by Gibson and Morton. The end is a finish that they will be talking about for a long time. Animal has Morton up and is waiting for Hawk to dive off the top rope with the Doomsday Device. Somehow Morton bends backwards so he is basically below Animal’s shoulders while Animal still has his legs hooked. Wham! The Rock n Roll Express are the World Tag Team Champions and they are $50,000 richer! UWF WORLD TITLE MATCH: Jerry “The King” Lawler vs Nick Bockwinkle With the entire fate of the UWF in Jerry Lawler’s hands, the fans in the Superdome are on the edge of their seats. If Lawler loses and Bockwinkle takes the World title back to the AWA, it would be devastating to the young company. This match is unpredictable as both men are very similar. They know every trick in the book while being very solid technical wrestlers and tremendous brawlers. This match has some of everything. From submission holds like sleepers and abdominal stretches to the time when the action seems almost high school wrestling match with its arm bars and leg locks. Both try some questionable tactics like an eye gouge here and a grab of the trunks there but nothing gives for either man for about 25 minutes of this 30 minute ego match. Eye gouge by Bockwinke! Bockwinke gets Lawler in a headlock and runs his face along the top of rope for 20 feet or so burning Lawler’s face on the way. 5 Straight punches by Bockwinkle followed by two head slams into the turnbuckle. Lawler no sells the last one and pulls the strap on the singlet down. Lawler is now throwing lefts and rights faster than Muhammed Ali. Ref Jerry Calhoun tries to get Lawler off Bockwinkle but Lawler shoves him. Again, Calhoun tries to break the two apart but Lawler shoves him again! WHAM! Bockwinkle throws a big haymaker at Lawler but Lawler ducked and Calhoun got nailed. Lawler hits Bockwinkle with another right hand. Bockwinkle is down until Lawler grabs him by the hair. Piledriver by Lawler. Lawler to the middle rope. Fist Drop! Bockwinkle is out of it. Lawler covers Bockwinkle but there is no ref. Lawler starts to count. 1… 2… 3. Calhoun calls for the bell. Jim Ross: Jerry Lawler has beaten his nemesis right here in the Superdome! Jerry Lawler has pinned Bockwinkle. Lawler is still the UWF champion! The ref is talking to the ring announcer and then walks over to Nick Bockwinkle and raises his hand! Ring Announcer: Your winner due to disqualification caused by Lawler shoving the ref is Nick Bockwinkle. The fans gasp but Lawler simply raises his belt above his head as he knows he is still the champ

Nice SNME and I really enjoyed the Hogan interviews here with the Audit You comment. Windham and Santana will make a nice team here! After running around the game as a babyface team, it is interesting to see in the Fab Ones can survive as a heel team in a crowded WWF tag division.

10/26/1985: CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE UWF UNIFIED WORLD CHAMPION: JERRY “THE KING” LAWLER UWF WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: THE ROAD WARRIOIRS UWF NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPION: STEVE “DR. DEATH” WILLIAMS UWF UNITED STATES CHAMPION: HACKSAW BUTCH REED UWF U NITED STATES TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: MIDNIGHT EXPRESS Hello again everybody. Welcome to Crossfire! I am Lance Russell along with my partner, Dave Brown. We are coming to you today from the McKenzie Arena on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Well, I known that we should not be shocked but Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express are at it again. We are about to show you a video from last week’s United States Tag Team Title match with the Southern Boys. (Steve Armstrong & Tracy Smothers) We do want to warn you, that this video is extremely upsetting and we understand if you wish to turn away for a moment. VIDEO: Beautiful Bobby Eaton throwing a fireball into the face of Steve Armstrong and he is rolling around on the ground in crazy pain as the ref is wildly calling for the bell. When the video is over Jerry Jarrett is at the interview desk saying that he is once again disgusted by the actions of Cornette and the Midnight Express. He is discussing the idea to suspend them when Cornett comes flying out threatening all types of lawsuits from Mother’ lawyers. Jarrett seems that he could care less. All of a sudden, the crowd explodes as Bob Armstrong comes out and Cornett begins to cower behind Jarrett. Bob is really upset and explains that Steve will be out of action for a few weeks and therefore the United States Champions will not be able to participate in Halloween Howl. To the shock of everyone, Armstrong asks that if Jarett could rethink the suspension. Jarrett seems confused until Bob says that it was his family that was wronged and he would like the chance to get revenge….. tonight! He wants the Midnight Express in the ring tonight against him a mystery partner while Cornette is handcuffed to Tracy Smothers. Jarrett accepts and Lance Russell really hypes up our impromptu main event. MATCH: TOMMY RICH & AUSTIN IDOL WITH RON FULLER DEFEATS JIMMY FUNK SMITH & TOM PAGANO At the interview desk, Ron Fuller is excited for Halloween Howl and the $50,000 Rich and Idol are about to win; not to mention the World Tag Titles. All of a sudden, Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden come out and the tension rises. Robert Fuller and Golden let everyone know that the Family Feud is on as they are going to face the Fuller Fab Ones in the first round and he can’t wait to send his brother home a loser. Rich and Idol step towards Fuller and Golden but Ron tells them to wait to Halloween. Robert and Golden step to the crowd making chicken noises. WHAM! Rich, Idol and Ron Fuller attack and the beating is on. It is clear that the Fuller Fab Ones know that if Robert and Jimmy don’t make it to Halloween, they will have an easier road to the money. They only thing that stopped this attack was a commercial break. COMMERCIAL Jerry Lawler has joined Lance Russell where he is informed that Nick Bockwinkle has accepted his invitation for a UWF World title shot at Halloween Howl! Jerry Lawler: If Bockwinkle thinks he is coming here and taking the UWF title home with him, he is completely out of his mind! Hey, I might just be on to something. Nick Bockwinkle is mindless and that just might be okay as he might not feel the pain I am going to inflict on that arrogant pompous ass at Halloween Howl! I beat him for the title in 1982 and I am going to beat him again. Lance Russell: I understand King why you are upset but please remember this is a family show and watch your language. MATCH TERRY TAYLOR DEFEATS “DANGEROUS” DANNY DAVIS IN UNDER 2 MOINUTES WITH THE CHICKENWING While the match was going on Ernie Ladd and Hacksaw Butch Reed were at the interview desk scrutinizing every move and explaining why Terry Taylor can’t beat Hacksaw Reed for the Ubited States title at Halloween Howl! Ernie Ladd: Look at him! Terry Taylor is nothing but a pretty boy. He is just a piece of candy for the ladies to eye ball. Well after Halloween Howl, Taylor will look like he just won scariest mask at the costume party. Hacksaw Butch Reed is a natural! The Natural! Terry Taylor you are about to run into a natural disaster. As soon as the match ends, Taylor comes to the desk but wrestlers and refs poor out from the back to keep everyone apart! MATCH DIXIE DYNAMITE DEFEATS TOMMY GILBERT WITH A SUPERKICK FOR HIS FIRST WIN HERE ON CROSSFIRE COMMERCIAL MATCH DIRTY WHITE BOY WITH RON FULLER DESTROYS LEO SEITZ WITH A BUCKSNORT BLASTER. At the interview desk, the Dirty White Boy spends all his time making everyone know that he is the baddest dude ever to come from Bucksnort, Tennessee and Jimmy Golden better watch out if he gets his hands on him. MATCH: THE BRUISE BROTHERS (PORKCHOP CASH & MAD DOG BOYD) & THE KIWI SHEEPHERDERS WRESTLE TO A 10 MINUTE DRAW. This match was a brawl from beginning to end and that was fine with everyone involved. None of them are very technically sound but enjoy the rough stuff. Even though they did not get the win, this did a lot to raise the status of the popular Bruise Brothers. COMMERCIAL MAIN EVENT THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS VS BOB ARMSTRONG & A MYSTERY PARTNER (JIM CORNETTE IS HANDICUTFFED TO TRACY SMOTHERS) The Midnight Express come out to their typical techno music but it is obvious they are distracted. They know Cornette will not be there to help them and they have no clue who Armstrong’s partner will be. As they come to the ring, we see that the mystery guest is wearing a mask and is introduced as Mr. R. As for the match, it deteriorates right away. As Cornette is being handcuffed to Smothers, Bobby Eaton comes off the top rope all the way to the floor for an Alabama Jammer on Smothers. This leads to all 4 real competitors in this match fighting all over the arena. What was most memorable here in this match that was declared a no contest was when the camera caught Mr. R squared off with Eaton. Mr. R ducked under a right hand and then laid Eaton out in one punch. Mr. R then continued to stomp on Eaton as Lance Russell say, “As far as I am concerned Dave, the Midnight Express deserve everything they are getting right now. Lance Russell: Well, I wonder who this Mr. R is but he certainly has it out for the Midnight Express. Don’t forget to join us in the Superdome on Halloween Night. So long from Chattanooga.

I am Jim Ross and my partner today is Boyd Pierce. We are just days away from Halloween Howl in the Louisiana Superdome and the fate of the UWF is in the hands of Jerry “the King” Lawler as Nick Bockwinkle is making an invasion and trying to bring back the World Championship to the AWA. Boyd Pierce: And let’s not forget the huge tag team championship tournament where the winner gets $50,000 and the UWF World Tag Team Championship! Well we are about to see one of those teams right now. MATCH HACKSAW DUGGAN & DUSTY RHODES DEFEAT THE MIDNIGHT COWBOYS AS RHODES HITS COWBOY #1 WITH A BIONIC ELBOW! At the interview desk, Duggan and Rhodes are showed a taped interview with Ivan and Nikita Koloff where Ivan wonders how stupid Americans are. In less than a month, Nikita has left the American Dream laying in the center of the ring many times yet Dusty keeps coming back for more! Stupid American….. you can’t beat the Russian Nightmare no matter how much you Dream! Both Dusty and Hacksaw respond with that is exactly what makes America great. We will never give up. We are blue collar all the way. Just as it is hard for these people to get up and go to work in the factories every day, beating the Koloffs will be hard but we are Americans and we shine when the times are hard. We will beat the Russians in the first round of that tag team tournament and show you what America is all about. MATCH ROY LEE WELCH DEFEATS HOMER DELL WITH THE FULLER LEG LOCK! All 4 of these wrestlers gave a beating and took a beating here. Looks like these teams will enter Halloween Howl as seeds 1 and 1A. Dusty Rhodes defeated Ivan Koloff as Nikita hit the ring and nailed Rhodes with a Russian Sickle. It is becoming common place to see Nikita standing over Dusty who is flat on his back.

I am enjoying this new enemy of Hogan and hoping beyond hope that Money Inc will take the title down the road. I know we will have to go through the preliminaries of OMG and Boss Man but please Mr. Dibiase take the title! I find Hogan like Donald Trump. He is a polarizing figure where either you love him or you hate him. There is no in between. He was a huge money maker for the WWF but too predictable for many fans.

The BR thing with Sherri and the Black Bart interpromotional issue have me really intrigued along with the stars of Lutte have me captivated. Very creative!
