Hello again everybody. Welcome to Crossfire! I am Lance Russell along with my partner, Dave Brown. We are coming to you today from the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana. Lance Russell: Well let’s get right to the video tape from this past week at the Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, Alabama where it was Jerry Lawler & Superstar Dundee vs Tommy Rich & Austin Idol with Ron Fuller. In the video, Jerry Lawler appears on the verge of beating Wildfire Rich as he is poised on the middle rope and set to deliver his fist drop. Austin Idol rushes the ring with perfect timing to disrupt the ref. As the ref turned, the newest member of Fuller’s Fab Ones, Buddy Landell rushed down and tossed Lawler off the rope where he landed awkwardly. Superstar Dundee took off after Landell which allowed Rich time to reach into his trunks and clock Lawler with a foreign object and the victory. After the video, Fuller’s Fabulous Ones are at the interview desk where they are gloating about beating the So-Called World Champion and his midget partner. When questioned about their tactics by Lance Russell, they said he must have been watching something else. It was now Austin Idol’s turn to get on the microphone where he hyped up his World Title Match with Lawler for this week in the Mid-South Coliseum. The King now comes out with a smirk on his face, crown on his head and title around his waist. Lawler takes control of the interview where he says that none of Fuller’s goons have the guts to fight a fair fight and that he will prove it! Lawler dares any of them to get in the ring right now! MATCH: THE KIWI SHEEPDERS CRUSH MIKE STONE & STEVE GRAVEL COMMERCIAL MATCH TERRY TAYLOR DEFEATS MAD DOG BOYD WITH A CHICKEN WING Terry Taylor knows that Boyd is not Hacksaw Reed but that his last match is prove that size doesn’t matter. He warns Reed that his muscles can’t save him from the chicken wing and that he is sick and tired of The Nation… Of Domination…. Thinking they can do whatever they want around here. Lance Russell agrees and thanks Taylor for giving Reed a bit of his own medicine last week as he whooped him all over the ring. Dave Brown brings everyone back to reality when he says that Reed might be beatable but how can you stop both Reed and Ernie Ladd. MATCH THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS WITH JIM CORNETT DEFEAT THE DIXIE DYNAMITES WHEN EATON HITS AN ALABAMA JAMMER Jim Cornette hypes up Halloween Havoc and how his team is going to walk out of the Superdome with not only their U.S Tag Championship but the World Tag Team Championship and the $50,000 cash! The crowd explodes as the Southern Boys (Scott Armstrong & Tracy Smothers) come out and say they are sick and tired of the Midnight Express not giving them any respect. Jim Cornette is laughing so hard he can barely contain himself and responds that respect is earned and not given and you boys who have been around here for less time than that pimple on Lance Russell have not come close to earning respect. The Southern Boys are furious and make the mistake of turning their backs on the Midnight Express. WHAM! WHAM! Eaton connects with two tennis racket shots and the beating is on! After a minute or two, the Rock n Roll Express rush out and make the save! COMMERCIAL After the break, Russell informs us that the Southern Boys should be ok and announces that the Midnight Express might get what they deserve this week in Memphis in a Triple Threat Match with the Southern Boys and the Rn R Express. ROY LEE WELCH DEFEATS KERRY BROWN WITH THE FULLER LEGLOCK Before our next match, “Dangerous” Danny Davis stops at the interview desks and lets the people know that they have never seen anyone with more ability then he has and they are in for a treat. As he makes his way to the ring both Lance Russell and Dave Brown wonder if this Danny Davis can last more than the 2 minutes he did last week. MATCH BOB ARMSTRONG MAKES EVEN QUICKER WORK OF “DANGEROUS” DANNY DAVIS WITH THE GEORGIA JAWBREAKER At the interview desk. Armstrong makes it very clear that he is getting tired of Cornette and his guys going after his family and that he better not see Cornette in the parking lot or his head might just meet the cement. COMMERCIAL MAIN EVENT JERRY LAWLER, JIMMY GOLDEN & SUPERSTAR BILL DUNDEE VS “NATURE BOY” BUDDY LANDELL, TOMMY RICH & AUSTIN IDOL WITH RON FULLER A wild match that shows Ron Fuller trying to get involved as he tripped up Jimmy Golden. This caused his brother, Robert to rush out and go nuts on Ron. Golden tagged in the King who went to work on Buddy Landell and gained the victory with a middle rope fist drop followed by a piledriver. Lance Russell reminds us that Ron Fuller will now be banned from ringside for the World Championship Match between Lawler and Idol this week and the Mid-South Coliseum. Jerry Jarrett makes another appearance and he is fuming about Ron Fuller’s interference in our last match and for that action he is going to wrestle this week in the Mid-South Coliseum against his brother Ron and that the two will be handcuffed together! Lance Russell: So long from the Cajundome.

Very interested to see the Fab Ones as heels. I think it was a good way to go as you have some similar heel teams to them in the Fantastics. Found the tag "everyone has a price" interesting and wondering who the everyone is that Dibiase will try to buy and was wondering if Heenan telling Andre to just to the money will have something to do with it.

Such a Texas feel here. Once again Fritz does what ever is best for the VonErichs as Kevin gets a sub in the title defense. Your roster leads to such perfect tag teams even though they might not have been teammates in real life: Bass and Brooks just works as does Wahoo and Murdoch! Keep up the great work

Cowboy Bill Watts: That’s right Jim tonight is going to be great and so is the entire month of October which will conclude with Halloween Howl II in the Louisiana Superdome on October 31. Once again, Halloween Howl will include a $50,000 Tag Team Tournament where the winner will not only win the cash but will leave the Superdome win the UWF World Tag Titles. MATCH THE FACES OF FEAR WITH SKANDAR AKBAR DESTROY PETE AUSTIN & KEN DILLINGER At the interview desk, Akbar praises his team and says that there is nothing that can stand in their way from winning Halloween Howl and taking the money and the World Titles from the Road Warriors. Jim Ross tells Akbar not to get to far ahead of himself as his team has a huge #1 contender’s match against Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen in Baton Rouge this week. This really gets Akbar going and he is convinced his men will crush the over the hill Brody and Hansen. COMMERCIAL Before their match, Shane Douglas and Mr. Wrestling II stop by the interview desk and talk about how much better the UWF is without that mangy JYD. This really brings some heat from the fans but Douglas and II seem to enjoy that. II still seems very bitter that JYD got more love from the fans. MATCH SHANE DOUGLAS WITH MR. WRESTLING II DEFEAT MIKE GRAHAM Graham was really having his way with the young Douglas in this match as he just had to much experience and technical skill. Douglas got frustrated and tossed Graham to the floor. Here we see Wrestling II load up that knee brace and knock Graham senseless. II rolled him back into the ring and Douglas hit a double hook suplex for the win. It was after the match, that II ordered Douglas to continue putting it on Graham. Together II and Douglas really laid in to Mike until the crowd exploded and Hacksaw Duggan hit the ring. It didn’t matter if it was 2-1 when you are carrying your trusty 2 x 4. II and Douglas ran for the hills as Duggan got a hold of the microphone. Hacksaw Jim Duggan: I would like to say I am sorry to all the fans. I was not there to help JYD and now he is hurt. Hurt real bad. I let that jealous, over the hill Mr. Wrestling II and this young punk, Shane Whatever his name is, come after JYD week after week and I was too blind to see it. Well now, I am not going to allow it to continue. Tonight, those two tried to hurt another good guy, Mike Graham and I was a second too late. Next time, I will be early and this 2 x 4 is going to find both of your heads! I guarantee it! MATCH: WENDELL COOLEY DEFEATS LARRY CHEATEM WITH A WELL TIMED SUPERKICK COMMERCIAL Skandar Akbar: I have been all around the world in search of the biggest and the baddest man in all the world to come and take control of the UWF! Well I have found him and we are demanding a North American Title shot against Steve “Dr. Death” Williams. Cowboy Bill Watts: Oh come on Akbar. You want us to give you a title shot against someone we have not even seen. We are supposed to take your word. Skandar Akbar: I will tell you one thing, until we get a title shot, there will be a lot of bodies left laying all around the UWF. You have been warned! All of a sudden we here drums start to beat….. Jim Ross: Oh Bah Gawd! Business is about to pick up. That is the Ugandan Giant….. Kamala MATCH KAMALA WITH SKANDAR AKBAR AND FRIDAY SQUASH AL GOODWIN A few overhand chops followed up by a Giant Splash from the 6’7 400 pounder had Goodwin done in seconds but Akbar continued to have Kamala smack his belly and hit Giant Splash after Giant Splash. Finally, the locker room emptied but it was overhand chop to anyone who tried to get in his way. Eventually Friday was able to calm him down but Jim Ross could n’t stop talking about the carnage Kamala left. Goodwin left on a stretcher and there were bodies littering the ring. Akbar stopped by the interview desk for one last quote. Skandar Akbar: Cowboy Bill Watts… you have been warned. Until Kamala gets Steve Williams in the ring…. People are going to get hurt! COMMERCIAL MAIN EVENT MATCH UWF WORLD TV TITLE MATCH VLAD “THE RUSSIAN HAMMER” VS “THE AMERICAN DREAM” DUSTY RHODES This one is truly good vs evil and the fans are on the edge of their seats. Dusty, with pure heart, is standing up to the powerful Vlad. Vlad, still learning, depends on a few bodyslams and forearms but Dusty makes him look good as he is selling all over the place. On the other hand, Vlad’s inability to sell adds to his unbeatable mystique. We do have a few momentum changes and this one actually includes a commercial break. Finally….. Vlad is throwing haymaker after haymaker with Dusty selling each one a little less and less until the monster’s attack has no impact on the American Dream. Bionic Elbow …. 2 count Bionic Elbow …. 2 ½ Count Bionic Elbow …. 2 ¾ Count Jim Ross: Dusty has Vlad up for a big Texas sized piledriver and the Russian’s win streak is about to come to a painful end. WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! Jim Ross: Look out! The fans, Jim Ross and Cowboy Watts are in shock. There is silence coming from the microphones and a quiet murmur of disbelief from the fans. Nikita Koloff has hit the ring and nailed Dusty Rhodes with a Russian Sickle. Nikita is so muscular, he makes Vlad look small. Dusty is lying motionless! A few seconds later, the Russian Bear, Ivan Koloff hits the ring with his big chain. He wraps the chain around the neck of Dusty and begins to choke him out. Jim Ross: I think the Russians are going to kill the American Dream. We need some help out here quickly. Dusty is going out. He can’t breath! And the screen fades to black.

Enjoyed the show! The crowd was really given a nice treat here as those dark matches were each great. I liked Dibiase under the ring a la WIldfire Rich in Memphis in real life. If Hogan can beat Nikita while the Russian Nightmare has the help of Dibiase and a chain, the WWF may never have another champ but he is set up for ever with big heels hunting him down!

Really enjoying the money angle here. Can't wait to see where it goes. I did think that Nikita was going to win the survival match to hype up the Hogan match even more but maybe Hogan just refuses to drop a match to a Russian.

In just weeks of WCCW, I am hooked! Love the format, love the roster, love the real life fear. Not sure if I missed something but was wondering who Checkmate was?

Nice to see Bobby Jaggers get a win. Must say this clown thing is really interesting.

Love the idea of taking the control of who wins out of your hands. This makes it more fun for you as it adds a level of suspense.

I keep saying it but I love your roster. Your opening match could be a main event in some places in 1985.

We have got to get right to the video tape from Lake Front Arena in New Orleans and the big Loser Leave Town Title Match for the North American Title between Ted Dibiase and Steve “Dr. Death Williams. VIDEO MATCH It obvious that both Dibiase and Williams are exhausted by neither will give an inch. As the ref admonishes Williams for a closed fist in the corner, Dibiase loads up the black glove. Williams rushes in and Dibiase swings! Wham! Dibiase’s punch is blocked and Dr. Death keeps shoulder blocking him into the corner. Dibiase stumbles out and Williams scoops him up! Oklahoma Stampede and we have a new champ! Jim Ross: That’s right folks, we have a new champ and the Rat Pack as we knew it is dead! Dibiase is banned from the UWF! COMMERCIAL MATCH DUSTY RHODES DEFEATS VERLON BIGGS WITH A BIONIC ELBOW Dusty Rhodes: In just one week, we will see the end of this Russian Hammer walking around here with our TV title. Both Watts and Ross hype up their appearance but hope that calmer heads will prevail. Both Hansen and Brody say they are back in the UWF for one thing and that is the UWF World Tag Titles. They keep hearing about how tough the Road Warriors are but they believe they are the toughest two dudes in all of pro wrestling. They are also sick and tired of Akbar demanding things. Hansen says enough is enough and that the Faces of Fear have already had their chances and now it is time to step aside. Needless to say, neither team is backing down and we find out from Cowboy Bill Watts that in two weeks we will have a number one contender’s bout. Great job pushing your mid card guys up the food chain. Regal, Barr, Hall all had great weeks. Give credit to Verne here for letting his son take the fall against Barr.... ALL FOR THE COMPANY! Atlas-Orndorff would have been fun to see. You have so many big names mixed with up and comers that this is by far the most balanced roster we have going.

We are coming to you today from the Houston County Farm Center in Dothan, Alabama. Well we have some big changes for you UWF Wrestling fans. Dave Brown: That’s right Lance. In order to give you the past action, Cowboy Bill Watts, Ron Fuller and Jerry Jarrett have decided all wrestler will be under the UWF with no separation by territory. This will allow the people throughout the country to see all the big stars the UWF has to offer! The UWF will run two weekly TV shows. Crossfire as you see here and Power Pro which will follow tomorrow. MATCH The Southern Boys (Steve Armstrong & Tracy Smothers) defeat The Midnight Cowboys (Duke Myers & Kerry Brown in masks) The fans here in Alabama are very familiar with the Southern Boys are were behind them 100%. The end came when Smothers followed up Armstrong’s Jawbreaker with a Southern Kick (Spinning Superkick). At the interview desk, The Southern Boys were joined by Bob Armstrong where they let everyone know that they are not happy with a lot of the goings on in the UWF. They focused on Jim Cornette and his Midnight Express! This quickly brought out Jim Cornette where he says the Southern Boys must be out of their minds as they have been around for about a minute and they are already challenging the greatest tag team in wrestling today. He warns them to watch they are saying or they just might get burned. This reference to the fireball which took out Ronnie Garvin really set Bob Armstrong off but caller heads prevail. MATCH: WENDELL COOLEY DEFEATS LEO SEITZ WITH A RUNNING BULLDOG COMMERCIAL The chant of We Are… The Nation…. Of Domination starts to play as the United States Champion, Hacksaw Butch Reed comes to the interview desk along with the leader of the Nation, Ernie Ladd. Ernie Ladd: We told all you rednecks that Hacksaw was going to take the title from Terry Gordy and that is exactly what happened. There is nobody in the UWF man enough to stand up to Hacksaw and just you watch what is going to happen to this loser in the ring right now! MATCH Hacksaw Butch Reed with Ernie Ladd destroys jobber Mike Stone. The problem came when Hacksaw just continued to beat Stone after the match was over. Lance Russell: Oh come on. Enough is enough. Somebody has got to put a stop to this or poor Mike Stone may suffer permanent injuries. The crowd explodes as Terry Taylor rushes to the ring. WHAM! Taylor has cleared Hacksaw from the ring and Ernie Ladd and Hacksaw are on the outside thinking of their next move. Taylor is daring them to come back but it looks like the Nation has been dominated today by Terry Taylor. COMMERCIAL Before the main event match, Superstar Bill Dundee and the UWF World Champ, Jerry “The King” Lawler stop by the interview desk where they hype up their match for this Monday night in the Boutwell Auditorium against Tommy Rich and Austin Idol. They also warn Ron Fuller not to stick his nose in where it doesn’t belong. MAIN EVENT SUPERSTAR BILL DUNDEE VS “NATURE BOY” BUDDY LANDELL We get a three-part match here as Buddy Landell begins playing the afraid heel that eventually gets caught by the babyface. Dundee has him time on top now as Landell does a great job of bumping and selling. Eventually, Landell uses some questionable tactics and gets his turn with the momentum. In the end, Dundee no sells some big haymakers from Landell and the Superstar has the crowd ready for him to go wild but Tommy Rich and Austin Idol with Ron Fuller hit the ring. It is now 4-1 and Dundee takes a pretty good beating until the cavalry of Jerry Lawler and the Southern Boys hit the ring. Fuller and his boys head for the hills but the microphone does pick up Ron Fuller shouting to Buddy Landell. Ron Fuller: Hey Nature Boy, Welcome to the Fuller Fab Ones! Lance Russell: Oh it can’t be. It is like a brand new Rat Pack is born. Tommy Rich, Austin Idol and Buddy Landell together with Ron Fuller. This could mean some real trouble for the World Champ and the rest of the UWF. Well don’t forget to join us Birmingham this week and see if Superstar Dundee is ok and able to get revenge with Jerry Lawler on the Fuller Fab Ones. So lonf from Dothan!

Great tournament again! I thought I had this one right as I picked Eddie Gilbert to win it all but Bam Bam is a great choice. Can't wait for the next show.

World Class is in good hands! Love your style. I must admit that I picked everything wrong. I had Kevin Von Erich, and the Freebirds coming out with the titles. The UWF will have a big surprise when Dusty returns from WCCW! There are consequences even for the American Dream when he crosses the line to the evil Fritz empire.

Sorry worded it wrong. I agree. 6 Is fine. I just mean that when the draft comes along and if we are still at 6, free agency will have more choices so I think Gene should have DJ now

I would have no problem with you using him now. To be honest, I have some fears that we are down to 6 people left in the game which means that there could be up to almost 200 people in the draft and with it being only 3 rounds.... I am unsure if DJ Peterson would be in the top 18.

Tag team division is rolling. Martel going down to Samu hurts his chances at holding on to the #1 contenders status. Wonder if the NWA has other plans for Martel and Flair. We will just have to wait and see.

Great first show! As much as the UWF is sick and tired of Fritz VonErich and we were glad to see him go, he really knows how to put on a good show! The David VonErich memorial is going to be awesome!
