Memorial Coliseum: Shreveport, Louisiana September 10, 1986 First 6 matches partially shown on Superstation 17 Black Bart defeats Mike Graham by hitting two Texas Trash Compacter. The second one was completely unnecessary, but Bart was here to make a point tonight. After the match he was heard calling out Bruiser Brody and saying he had unfinished business with the Wild Man. U.S. Steel defeats “Hollywood” John Tatum with a Giant Splash. Tatum had been talking a good game before the opening bell but once the action started, he did his best to run and hide. Too bad for Tatum but good for the crowd, Steel eventually caught him and beat him pillar to post. The Mighty Yankee “Steve Strong” defeats Mike George with a powerslam after George was distracted by the Masked “Mighty Yankee” who came down to ringside. Crusher Blackwell defeats Bob Roop with the Airplane Drop in a match that was surprisingly technical. NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title Match Ricky Gibson defeats Eric “Crybaby” Embry by DQ as Rotten Ron Star came down to the ring and attacked Gibson. Embry was frustrated at the crybaby chant throughout the match but was as smug as ever walking out with his title. Starr seemed very pleased with himself but when Gibson regrouped and was ready to duke it out with Starr, the Rotten One headed for the hills. “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin with Precious defeated “The Cuban Lover” Ricky Santana with the Brainbuster. Precious came in the ring after the bout and lend over the fallen Santana and had a few choice words for him as she was still frustrated by his “groping” attempt last week. She was waving her hand and her purse as she really gave him a mouthful of hatred. Her and Jimmy had a nice hug on their walk back to the locker room. NWA World Title Match: Ted Dibiase & Dr. Death Steve Williams © defeat The Fabulous Freebirds as Dr. Death hits The Oklahoma Stampede on Buddy Roberts during a time of chaos. The interesting thing here was that as Dr. Death and Dibiase were walking to the ring, Garvin and Precious were leaving and Dr. Death noticed that Precious had dropped her purse during the couple’s embrace. Dr. Death picked up the purse after their exit and gave it to the timekeeper to hold. The camera seemed to pick up Michael Hayes stalling on his way to the ring as he seemed to be looking for something and seemed really frustrated when the ring announcer called for Precious to come out and get her purse as she had accidently dropped it. As for the match, it was full of twists and turns and seemed like it could go either way, but the champs survived in the end. Mid-South Title Match: Title Changes hands if the champ is counted out or disqualified Bad News Allen without Ernie Ladd & Rocky Johnson wrestle to a double count-out in very physical bout. It appeared that Rocky Johnson was going to get back in the ring and win the title as he connected with the Soul Man Shuffle on the arena floor, but Bad News grabbed Rocky’s leg just before him got in the ring which slowed him down just enough to get the double count-out. MAIN EVENT: Briefcase Match: Sheik’s Million Dollar Briefcase is suspended above the ring: Team that gets the briefcase wins the bout and the money. Sheik’s Army (Masked Superstars, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, & Jos Leduc) defeat Hacksaw Butch Reed, Harley Race & The Patriots (DJ Peterson & Todd Champion) in Carl Fergie’s first big match as a referee. Fergie did a good job of maintaining control in a match just made to be chaotic. Each man had their time to shine and as normal in a big 8-man tag match, there were many momentum changes. Interesting thing was that a ladder was placed outside the ring and was needed to get to the briefcase. The finish saw the ladder already set up in the middle of the ring after a failed attempt by The Snake. Reed and Masked Superstar #2 were brawling out on one side of the arena floor and Harley Race and Leduc were fighting on the other side. DJ Peterson shoves Jake Roberts back into the corner and rushed in and connect with a clean shoulder block. Peterson know clocks the fist and goes for a big right hand. Carl Fergie grabs the arm and prevents the punch. Peterson is arguing with Fergie who gets between DJ and the Snake. Fergie appears to shove DJ out of the corner and away from Roberts. WHAM… Peterson trips over the ladder and it falls right on top of him. Todd Champion rushes in to complain but if forced back out of the ring by Fergie. WHAM… DDT by the Snake on Peterson who was wobbly as he got up. Snake picks up the fallen ladder and shoved it into the gut of Todd Champion who gets knocked off the apron. Jake quickly steps up the ladder and scampers up to the top and grabs the briefcase! The Sheik is going wild as Jake Roberts has just saved him a $1,000,000! The Sheik opens it up and takes out a big bundle and hands it to The Snake. The crowd begins to filter out and you can tell that they are a little frustrated by the last two matches but as in most sports, there is always tomorrow. Next Friday Mid-South returns to Jackson, Mississippi and the Fairgrounds Arena for its next big night! MATCHES ALREADY SIGNED FOR JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI The debut of Kendo Nagasaki Mike George vs The Masked Mighty Yankee Grudge Match: Bruiser Brody vs Black Bart Revenge Match: Rotten Ron Starr vs Ricky Gibson Mid-South Title Match: Bad News Allen vs Rocky Johnson in a Steel Cage!

Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling (v3)
Great return for MACW. Great booking to get both the tv audience and fans at home hooked early. A 12 Man Battle Royal is a rare match for TV and then we get the main event of Lex and Kabuki to come from this one. Nice idea here. Harley Race in MACW!! Love it. Great promo with him. I also enjoyed the Road Warriors and they are right. Just becasue one of them is the MACW champion doesn't mean that they can't get the tag titles. Sawyers beware! Flair and the Andersons! Nice promos but Savage stole the show. Flair vs Savage is HUGE!! Can't wait for the shoe from the Scope! Great to have you running a territory you are more familar with. Enjoy!

Pacific Coast Wrestling
WOW.... I know that you don't venture into Arizona much but when you do... its an awesome event. Highlights for me included Hansen vs Simmons. I was really interested to see where you went with this one and I think you hit it spot on. Hansen stays on top but the star that Simmons is continues to rise and it takes 2 lariats to get the win. The Masked Avenger has turned!!! Why? We will have to see why. Even if Corny knows something, be better be careful! Could we get the Avenger vs Bam Bam..... PLEASE!! To me, Playboy is PCW... ejoyed this one and its crazy finish. Windham might soon be looking for some gold!! Great show!

Western States Wrestling
Sorry to be late to the party but this was an awesome ending to your time in Western States! I wonder if Al Perez will still get that title shot of his choosing in his new home! Nice win. In must have been great for the fans to see Tojo take a beating here!! I love what this game has done for Shaska! Nice job making him a big heel star. Embry shows you that when a heel wins a title, it is hard to get it away from them. The Brotherhood.... Sullivan's goons... Golden Spike.... Perfect for the rough and tumble WSW fans. The Brass Knucks Title on Dutch just sounds good. Jumbo getting the clean win over Slater really elevates him in this game. Can't wait to see what he does in his new home. Funks congratulating anyone, never mind the NWA Tag Champs, would always be TENSE!! Awesome booking... too bad this angle won't continue. BELLY TO BELLY ON OMG... Enough said! T.A. is the Champ! Awesome event. Thanks so much for your time in Wesrern States. I can't wait to see what you do in your new home!

SEPTEMBER 4, 1986 RAPIDES PARRISH COLISEUM: ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA (ON LOCAL AFFIATES IN THE MID-SOUTH TERRITORY) (The show begins with footage from the last week’s show in Baton Rouge where we see Black Bart connecting with a Texas Trash Compacter, Precious hitting Ricky Santana with the “heavy” purse, Michael Hayes also using a purse to hit both Bruiser Brody and Dr. Death and Nikita Koloff hitting Ted Dibiase with the Russian Sickle while TWO referees argued. Then we go to the regular opening montage set to techno music and showing all the big stars of Mid-South Wrestling and finally we go to the set with your host, Jim Ross.) Ross: "Hello and welcome once again to Power Pro Wrestling, sanctioned by Mid-South Wrestling, a member of the National Wrestling Alliance. What a show we had this past Saturday in Baton Rouge. As you just saw, Nikita Koloff did successfully defend his NWA Title against Ted Dibiase but that decision was not without controversy; more on that later. Just two days later at Beach Brawl 86 in Biloxi, Mississippi, Magnum T.A. defeated Nikita Koloff in a Russian Chain-I Quit Match to win the NWA World Title for the third time. Right now, we are going to show you the ending of that match. Just a warning to all of our viewers at home, this match was extremely violent and parents… you may wish to take your child to another room for about 5 minutes. Here it is…. VIDEO TAPE MATCH NWA WORLD TITLE MATCH RUSSIAN CHAIN- I QUIT MATCH Nikita Koloff © vs Magnum T.A. Both men were a bloody mess after about 14 minutes of action….Nikita landed a 'Russian Sickle' on Magnum but couldn't get him to submit, Nikita charged in for another sickle but Magnum side stepped him wrapping the chain around Koloff's neck as his momentum took him over the top rope…..Magnum has the big man hung over the top rope….he won't submit but eventually the big Russian passes out…..the referee checks his arm as if goes down three times…..the referee has to stop the match and award the title to MAGNUM T.A.!! Jim Ross: What a night it truly was for Magnum T.A. Right after the match, Continental Championship Wrestling announcer, Joe Pedicino caught up with Magnum T.A. in the locker room and here is what the new champ had to say. Magnum T.A.: (a bloodied T.A. is surrounded by all his bodies; Dusty Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, Dr. Death, Wendell Cooley etc … and the champagne is flowing) Joe… I did it! I did it. I told you and all my great fans that Nikita was going to have to kill me to make me quit and that I’d do anything to win this title back… By God… he almost did kill me. While I hate Nikita and everything he stands for, I take nothing away from him. He is the toughest man I have ever faced in the ring. Going forward… I promise to defend this belt each and every night against all worthy challengers but anyone who steps into that ring with Magnum T.A. better take a look at the tape of this match… I will do anything to keep this title… Anything! Joe Pedicino: There you have it folks. The new NWA World Champion… Magnum T.A. As the video ends, as we are back with Mid-South Wrestling, Jim Ross takes us to our first commercial break. Commercials + Promos for Shreveport As we come back from break, Jim Ross hypes up Magnum T.A. a little more but also reminds us that this doesn’t change what happened last week in Baton Rouge. He reminds everyone about the Dibiase-Nikita match and some of the other major happenings, including the Mid-South Title Match as Rocky Jonhson did beat Bad News Allen but by count-out and therefore doesn’t win the title and Michael Hayes who struck again as he used that loaded purse again and this time laid out both Bruiser Brody and Dr. Death Steve Williams. Here now to discuss these situations is the NWA President, Cowboy Bill Watts! Cowboy Bill Watts: Hello again Jim. First, a huge congratulations to Magnum T.A. How great it feels to have the NWA World Title back in the hands of a God-faring, great American. Now as for the goings-on here in Mid-South Wrestling…. New week, same story. The chaos in Mid-South just seems to continue week after week. First of all, we need to discuss the NWA World Title Match between Nikita and Ted Dibiase. When looking at the video tape, we see a very controversial decision. First, Ref Alfred Neely, who had been knocked down, actually was correct in his ruling to restart the match. As Dibiase went for the pin attempt, Nikita’s leg was across the bottom rope and the three count was never completed. The problem was that Ivan Koloff was the one who put Nikita’s leg across the bottom rope. This was not seen by either Neely or Ron West who came in to take over officiating duties for the match. While I feel awful for Ted Dibiase, we aren’t going to go back and change the decision of the match. What we are going to do is give Ted Dibiase a rematch in 3 weeks at the Sam Houston Coliseum. This time though, he will face Magnum T.A. for the belt. Jim Ross: That seems fair. What are we going to do about referees who keep seem to be taking a lot of abuse. Bill Watts: Now that’s a different story. First, any wrestler or manager who puts their hands on a Mid-South referee will be immediately suspended. Unfortunately, this has no bearing on the NWA Title match we were just discussing. The wrestling ring is a dangerous place with a lot of big bodies. Sometimes, referees have no place to hide and got run into or knocked down. This is what happened to Alfred Neely in Baton Rouge. Jim Ross: So really there is no solution. Bill Watts: I didn’t say that. We have in fact been looking into this problem and decided that it might be a good idea to use former wrestlers as referees. They might know their way around the ring a little better and avoid some of those physical situations and they also might be able to deal with these situations better when they occur. Jim Ross: Interesting…to do you have anyone in mind. Bill Watts: In fact, we do. This man recently retired from wrestling and decided to enroll in our referee school the same day and he will be referring our first match which I think is ready to go. MATCH U.S. Steel defeats “Rotten” Ron Starr with the Giant Splash As he told us about a month ago, Carl Fergie did return to Mid-South wrestling. This time it is a referee and even Jim Ross had to give him his due as he did a great job. He got right in the face of Starr when he went to the questionable tactics, and he had no problem stepping between the near 400-pound U.S. Steel to back him away from the corner when he was fuming and was going to clock Rotten Ron. Ross did remind us that one match does not make a referee and that he is going to watch this one closely as he still doesn’t completely trust Fergie Commercials + Promos for Shreveport MATCH Jos Leduc with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie defeats “Trucker” Randy Barber with the Bearhug Sheiks entire army (Masked Superstars, Leduc and Jake “The Snake” Roberts) joins him in the post-match interview but before he speaks, Bill Watts comes back out. Bill Watts: Sheik, I see, that even though Hacksaw Butch Reed handed out some your money from the briefcase to the fans, you still carry it around with you every time a member of your Army goes to the ring. Sheik Adnan: Masaa’ alkhayr kafa hakuk, Mr. Bill Watts. Yes, as I have said many times, the money in this briefcase will go to the perfect wrestler. One to guarantee me the greatest stable in wrestling history. With Jake “The Snake” Roberts, The Masked Superstars and Jos Leduc, I’m so close to controlling Mid-South Wrestling but with one more I will be unstoppable. So, I carry this briefcase with me everywhere I go just in case I come across the last piece to puzzle. Oh… and by the way, the small amount of money Hacksaw Butch Reed stole from me was replaced in less then a minute and there is plenty more where that came from. Bill Watts: Perfect. That is all I wanted to know. My problem is that you keep using this briefcase as a weapon. In fact, in Baton Rouge, The Masked Superstars used the briefcase to help defeat the Patriots and in the North American Title Match, again, your army tried to use the briefcase to help Jake Roberts defeat Hacksaw Reed and take the title. Sheik goes to interrupt but … Bill Watts: Sorry Sheik… my turn. So the NWA Board and I have decided this week in Shreveport, it will be your army, against Hacksaw Butch Reed, The Patriots, and Harley Race ….with the Briefcase suspended above the ring. Sheik goes to interrupt again but… Bill Watts: Hold on… and the winner gets the briefcase and the $1,000,000 inside of it! Watts tells the technical crew to take us to break, and tells Sheik, now he can talk… Imagine what language the crowd heard during the commercials from a fuming Sheik!! Commercials + Promos for Shreveport As we come out of break, we see none other than Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts at the interview desk. Jim Ross: Michael, it seems that you will stoop to any level to injure your opponents inside of the squared circle. Michael Hayes: It seems like I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t. I go in the ring and kick the living you know what out of someone and I get criticized. I go in the ring and get my butt kicked and you people criticize me. Say I can’t wrestle. I can’t fight. In terms of stooping to levels? I have no idea what you mean. My job, inside that ring, is to do things the Freebird way. That’s right… By any means necessary…. When you sign on the dotted line to step in the ring with the Freebirds… you better be prepared to march down Bad Street U.S.A and stop and the last house on the block and knock on the door and be ready for the fight of your life. Jim Ross: And what do you say about the facts that you are using some sort of pepper spray to blind your opponents or that you are using a loaded purse to knock your opponents out. Before you answer that…some say that purse is the same one used by Jimmy Garvin’s Precious… Is there any truth to that? Michael Hayes: I’ve got two old sayings for ya Jim Ross. First… Finders keepers… losers weepers. Next and most important… Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Jim Ross: You do have a way with words. Last thing… this week in Shreveport, it will be you and Buddy Roberts for the NWA World Tag Team Title. Michael Hayes: As I just said… Finders Keepers… Losers Weapers. It will be Ted Dibiase and Dr. Death weeping after we take their titles and then we will be partying down in Atlanta GA where we will be with all the pretty chicks till the sum comes up. MATCH Rocky Johnson defeats “Hollywood” John Tatum with the Soul Man Shuffle/Boston Crab Combo A quick interview with Rocky Johnson shows his frustration at how Bad News Allen just walked away from their match in Baton Rouge and took the count-out loss to save their title. Cowboy Bill Watts makes another appearance and tells Rocky that this week in Shreveport, he will get another shot at the Mid-South Title and as last week, Ernie Ladd will be banned from ringside. Also, if Bad News Allen loses by count-out od DQ, the title will change hands. Rocky Johnson is very pleased with these stipulations and shakes the hand of the NWA President. Commercials + Promos for Shreveport As we came out of break, Ernie Ladd and Bad News Allen are with Jim Ross Ernie Ladd: I’ve never seen anything like it! How does a fat man move that quick? That Big Dummy changes the rules each week and then runs and hides before anyone with any sense can question him. Now, again… he breaks the rules by banning me from ringside and then throws in his new idea… the title changes hands on Count-Outs or Disqualifications! Does he do this for Ted Dibiase and Dr. Death? No! Will he do this for Magnum T.A…. I don’t think so. Again… it is a grudge he has against me cause he could never beat me in the ring. Now… did you see that handshake between Frick and Frack when we went to break. It was like “Uncle Tom” Johnson saying “thank ya massa, thank ya. Jim Ross: And what do you sat Bad News about you just walking away from your title match against Rocky Johnson in Baton Rouge? Bad News Allen: As Ernie Ladd said, the fix was in. Rocky Johnson seems to have his own set if rules. He is the only wrestler I know who is allowed to box instead of wrestler. He keeps throwing punch after punch and nothing is done by Bill Watt’s referees. So, Ernie and I decided that if Rocky wants a boxing match, he will not get a shot at my Mid-South WRESTLING TITLE. Rocky Johnson… tonight Bill Watts might be your Master but in Shreveport, I will be your master and you will bow down to me and ask that I don’t end your career. I have spent enough time dealing with Rocky Johnson. The Soul Man may only be a soul after Shreveport. MAIN EVENT: Winner gets a Jr. Heavyweight Title Match in Shreveport Ricky Gibson defeats “Rotten” Ron Starr with a Roll-up while Starr was gloating about his success. Jim Ross: Sorry folks, we are out of time. So long from the Pelican State.

Riverside Centroplex: Baton Rouge, Louisiana August 28, 1986 First 6 matches partially shown on Superstation 17 SORRY THIS GOT POSTED AFTER THE NWA TITLE SWITCH AT BEACH BRAWL Mighty Yankee vs Rufus Jones gets the crowd into it right away with a brawling double count-out U.S. Steel defeats Rotten Ron Starr with a Giant Splash Black Bart fought off a gallant Norvel Austin and eventually got the pin after the Texas Trash Compacter (double leg drop off the top rop) Jimmy Garvin with Precious defeats The Cuban Assassin (Angel Acevedo) with the Brainbuster. The Cuban Lover, Ricky Santana came to ringside and started to flirt with Precious but give her come credit. She took matters into her own hands and hit him with the “heavy” purse. Mid-South Tag Team Title Match The Masked Superstars © with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie defeat The Patriots (DJ Peterson & Todd Champion) as Masked Superstar #1 locked in the Cobra Clutch on DJ Peterson after Superstar #1 had hit him with the briefcase full of money while the ref was down. The Patriots just were not themselves tonight as it Is obvious that the attack last weekend on TV by Sheik’s Army and the Alaskan Hunters had taken its toll on them. Mid-South Title Match (Ernie Ladd is banned from the building) Rocky “Soul Man” Johnson defeats Bad News Allen by count-out when Allen simply walked away from the match as he rolled out of the ring after Johnson hit the Soul Man Shuffle (a serious punch combo). Bad News grabbed his Mid-South Title and headed to the locker room. The crowd was fuming when the ring announcer said that “The Title Does Not Change Hands.” North American Title Match “Hacksaw” Butch Reed defeats Jake “The Snake” Roberts with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie when he ducked under a briefcase shot by Leduc and game off the ropes and hit a nasty football tackle on The Snake. Just as the ref completes the 3 count, Jos Leduc swings down with all his might with the briefcase at Hacksaw’s head. WHAM… Reed rolled out the way just in time and the briefcase clobbers Jake Roberts right across the chest! GRUDGE MATCH “Dr. Death” Steve Williams & Bruiser Brody defeat The Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts) by DQ as Michael Hayes once again went under the ring and retrieved a loaded purse and clobbered both Brody and Dr. Death. Buddy Roberts was ready each time and came off the top rope with a knee to the head. Williams and Brody had controlled most of the action in this wild brawl until Hayes used the “weapon. To say that Hayes and Roberts had a tough walk back to the locker room dodging debris would be an understatement, but they gloated the entire way! NWA WORLD TITLE MATCH Nikita Koloff © vs Ted Dibiase had a bit of a controversial ending as Dibiase appeared to have one the NWA World Title after a long, 30-minute bout when he connected with another suplex at a time when ref Alfred Neely had been knocked down. Dibiase covered Koloff which was easily enough time for a three count but there was not ref. Ref Ron West came to the ring and took over referee duties and started the count. By this time, Nikita had recovered enough to kick out. Dibiase hit another big move as he connected with a running knee lift to the head of the Russian Nightmare. Dibiase covers Nikita and Ron West starts the count. 1… 2… Ivan Puts Nikita’s leg across the bottom rope Ref Alfred looks up 3…. The crowd goes wild as West raises the hand on Dibiase. Suddenly Kneely comes over and pulls Dibiase’s hand down. He explains that Nikita’s leg was on the ropes…. The two refs debate the situation as Dibiase listens intently. WHAM… Russian Sickly by Nikita on Dibiase. He covers Dibiase. Kneely with the count 1…2…3! Kneely declares Nikita the winner and for the 3rd time tonight, the fans can’t believe what happened. They will forever talk about the night in Baton Rouge when the NWA World Title was stolen from Ted Dibiase.

Continental Championship Wrestling
First for the TV show... It is your interviews that make the show and you are on a roll right now. Bob Armstrong and Tommy Rich's promos were awesome. You could just feel the hatred in the them. Johnny Rich had a point when he said CCW didn't have to show Tommy piledriving hos own mother. Next... Dark Journey and the Electric Blondes had a nice promo hyping up the 4 Corner Match to get s shot at the World TItle at Beach Brawl. That being said, each promo does a great job of hyping up the week's big show or CCW's next major event. This is how to sell those tickts. Now, after reading the early segments with Armstrong and Rich, I though that was the highlight of ths show for me but then.... Woman and Lanny! WOW! Poor Gordy didn't now what to do. I could just picture him blushing when Woman was rubbing or kissing his cheek and then 5 seconds later holding back the vomit when Lanny was doing the same. AWESOME segment. SO well written. I also think we are going to be seeing a lot more of this with the introduction of the Pleasuredome! Can't wait. Nice show in Dothan... T.A. gets sickled by a man in a Mr. Olympia mask.... interesting. As for Beachbrawl.... great major event that keeps things moving in the right direction. Even in defeat, Lanny gets some added attention with the post-match clothesling on Scott A. Nice clean win for Zenk and Taylor. Dark Journey is going to need to get here boys more prepared for next time and I bet there will be a next time. Even in his speciality with the bull rope, Bass needs some help to put down Cooley. Goes to show what you think of Cooley and I agree. He is perfect for CCW. WOW... Johnny was right... That was family business! Families fight with each other, in this csse with a piledriver to Mom, but don't get involved. The person most angry right now is Mrs. Armstrong as Bob gave up $100,000 to now lose his job. AWESOME ANGLE. I bet there is more to this one. Nice wins for Dusty and the World Tag Team champs but I bet the fans were still thinking about Peggy! Dusty must have wondered how he wasn't the biggest star in the arena. He must not have been the booker here. WOW... what a way to win the title back... To have hung Nikita who still wouldn't give up. AWESOME MATCH

AWA Major League Wrestling
First... Huge time for the AWA with some big cards coming pretty close together. As for Louisville, it did a nice job of building to the Labor Day Special. I must admit that the match between the Union and Soviets had me on the edge of myself and then the Olympians show up and we go crazy. Awesome ending!!! I was really rooting for TIm Horner even though I knew it was too good to be true. On to the Mid-South Coliseum.... The first match had me very interested as you had built up El Canek so much in the previous big show and now added Larry Z to this crazy feud that I was unsure which way you were going to go. Nice ending with Haystacks taking out The Cobra as this allows the feud to go on! Smart ending to Colon and TIger Jeet as this one is just getting under way. No matter what else is on the card, Priceless vs The Bruise Brothers is going to be one of my favorites. Interesting ending here. Is Cash really hurt? Will Snowman need a new partner as Morrow did when he added Wells. Can't wait to see where this one goes. In real life, if Snowman could have been a better company man like you have made him, he could have had a better career. From what I have seen, he had it all. Great war between Wahoo and Bock... Good choice in the end with the stipulations you put in place where the winner gets a world title shot. Bock would make a better opponent for Steamboat... if he is still champ.... I haven't gotten to that part yet. I try to read match by match or segment by segment then respond. It keeps me on the edge of my seat. To me, the winner of the RnR Express vs Fab Ones or throw in the Midnight Express here also against either one, doesn't matter as it is for tonight only. These teams were so good that they could wrestle every night for 6 months and one would never go over the other. Each night could have a different outcome and the fans would still want more. Unsure if this is your take, but looking forward to the next time they meet. RnR get the win tonight... but tomorrow... who knows? The title bout with Austin and Garvin was one I had no idea which direction you were going. Idol and Garvin both make good champs. Nice ending here with the interference. I think we might get a rematch or Garvin finds some firends and we get a big tag match. WOW.... WHAT A TAG BATTLE. I guess Hennig's mouth couldn't cash the check it wrote. I bet Adias is fuming.... but... is there anything he could do about it. I bet we find out. Really well written main event with Steamboat being right where he should be in the end.... the AWA World Champ. Steamboat vs Bock will be a classic. AWESOME SHOW!!

Wonder Women Wrestling
The Medusa/Mosters angle is really well done. Can't wait to see what is next here. Does Medusa ask to rejoin? find a new stable? or go it alone and show them all who is boss? SO many cool choices. Well written main event that has Babyface and KC in the finish to keep everyone else strong.

Awesome Card! Nice job developing all of these angles!

Wonder Women Wrestling
Great job with the slow play on the angle with the problems within the Monsters! This is going to be fun to follow. Moretti is now the owner of 3 belts... looking forward to see how this all plays out. So many options... she has 3 feuds at once.... a title unification... one big challenger for all 3.... can't wait to see where this goes. Peggy Lee and Richter stay on top but for how long... another great angle as I think we all feel Richter values th songles title more than the tag belt. Will this sit well with Peggy Lee.

AWA Major League Wrestling
Great show this week with some really big matches scheduled for the fans at home. The tag division got a lot of love on this week... The Golden Boys might have the size to deal with the Beast of Burden ... this is going to be some heavy hitting matches! The Russians try to stop the Union from getting to the ring but it backfires as eventually they have to deal with both the Union and the Olympians....I like how you then turned this is to a little babyface controversy! Good work here. Wahoo might think he can outwrestle Bock and that is because the backhand chop is a legal wrestling move! Highlight of the show.... SMACK!!!! by Precious Colon needs a raise!!! He deals with all the monsters for you. Between the possible issues with the Union and Olympians and the Awesome Twosome, the Labor Day show is sure to have some twists and turns! Awesome matches for tv as a said before we the Lawler/RnR Express-Fab Ones/Dundee and then Steamboat/Snuka-BJ/Dream Machine-love the chaos! Nice job pushing the big event.

Western States Wrestling
Another good week in WSW as we continue to head towards the big Labor Day event. I thought you did a great job of bringing in Super Strong Machine and the scene with Duk and Tojo was really well done. Crybaby Embry continues to be a story I enjoy. Nice job. Funk calling out Chicky Starr was a nice touch to add to that feud. Pick your Poison Matches was an interesting idea. One day, Funk or Slater is going to get Jumbo! I am also enjoying your development of Kendall Windham. He is an example of why I think your promotion is one of the most realistic for the time. In the overall game, he has taken a back seat but for you he is a pretty big star. In real life, he had a big run in a few territories including Florida. Thanks for all your hard work. I hope it is as fun for you to write as it is for me to read.

AUGUST 28, 1986 CIVIC CENTER: MONROE, LOUISIANA (ON LOCAL AFFIATES IN THE MID-SOUTH TERRITORY) (The show begins with footage from the last week’s show in New Orleans where we see the Patriots celebrating in the ring, Hacksaw Butch Reed nailing Jos Leduc with the briefcase full of money then handing out dollar bills to the fans after the briefcase busted open, Ernie Ladd hitting Rocky Johnson with the Big Boot, Ted Dibiase pinning Ivan Koloff and the big one… Michael Hayes clobbering Terry Gordy with a chair shot to the head. What a show we had this past Friday in New Orleans. The Patriots have earned a Mid-South title shot this week in Baton Rouge against the Masked Superstars. Ernie Ladd once again stuck his nose where it doesn’t belong as he helped his man Bad News Allen retain his Mid-South Title, Ted Dibiase, with the help of his tag team partner Dr. Death, has earned an NWA World Title Match against Nikita Koloff and what can I say… Michael Hayes has stupped to his lowest level yet! Let me bring out, NWA President Cowboy Bill Watts. Jim Ross welcomes Watts to the interview area and hands the show over to him. Watts: First Jim, everyone keeps coming up to me and saying it is time to suspend Michael Hayes; you can’t let him get away with hitting a blind man in the head with a chair and I let them know that basically, my hands are tied. The NWA did not sanction that Blindfold Match. The doctors refuse to clear Terry Gordy to wrestle. It was Gordy who demanded this match which again… the NWA had no jurisdiction over. So… I may agree with the fans that the actions of Michael Hayes are disgusting, but it is not in my power to punish him. As the fans, start to boo… Watts: Hold on one minute… what is in my power is to sanction Michael Hayes’ next match. Terry Gordy keeps asking for another shot but as I said before, the doctors will not clear him. That doesn’t mean that there are not dozens of other wrestlers who want a piece of Hayes and this week in Baton Rouge… it will be Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts taking on Bruiser Brody and Dr. Death Steve Williams. The crowd explodes and all is forgiven for Bill Watts. Watts: Hold on fans, there is more for the big event this week in Baton Rouge… “Soul Man” Rocky Johnson will get another Mid-South Title shot… a fair title shot as Ernie Ladd will be banned from the arena! As Watts heads off, Jim Ross hypes up the show in Baton Rouge and then runs-down today’s show which features Black Bart vs Jerry Oates. Jimmy Garvin vs Larry Winters. Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs Mike George, Rufus R. Jones vs Ken Timbs, U.S. Steel vs Ricky “The Cuban Lover” and in the main event, The Patriots vs The Alaskan Hunters. MATCH Black Bart defeats Jerry Oates with the Texas Trash Compacter After the bout, Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts come out to Jim Ross. Ross: Well since you two aren’t scheduled to be out here right now, I guess you are here to complain about the upcoming match with Bruiser Brody and Dr. Death that Bill Watts just announced. Michael Hayes: Don’t you worry Jim Ross… we’ll get to that match in just a minute but first let’s talk about Terry Gordy. Let’s talk about Baton Rouge. People kept coming up and saying Michael, you got to be afraid. Terry Gordy’s making a comeback. You got to face him in a Blindfold Match! They said that a Blindfold Match was the perfect match for his return to the ring…..I know a lot of great athletes who said their goin make a comeback. Muhammed Ali said he was coming back. How’d that work out? That’s right… he found himself face down in the center of the ring after Larry Holmes knocked him out! Joe Theisman said he was making a comeback after L.T. snapped his leg in half. Anyone see Joe? Nope! Now Gordy made his comeback and I knocked him out. Comeback over! Jim Ross: You did hit a blindman with a chair. Michael Hayes: All I know is that he was knocked out. A few weeks, Dr. Death challenged me to a match, and everyone thought I was going down. Again, when that bout was over, it was Dr. Death knocked out and I was partying till morning down on Bad Street. Jim Ross: Again, you are leaving out the fact that you hit Dr. Death with a brick. Michael Hayes: Again… does it matter? No, this week you are bringing back Dr. Death and you gave him a new partner… Caveman Brody. Well listen up Caveman… I just explained comebacks to you. This is Dr. Death’s comeback. It aint goin to work. If you show up in Baton Rouge… you will be trying to make a comeback somewhere in the future. Commotion at the podium as Bruiser Brody is rushing after the Freebirds. Hayes and Roberts see this and make a hasty retreat, but Brody is in pursuit as we head to break. COMMERCIALS + PROMOS FOR BATON ROUGE Before our next match, we get a quick interview with Brody and Dr. Death and you can tell that the Caveman comment by Hayes bothered Brody while Dr. Death is still fuming about Hayes hitting him with the loaded purse and Gordy with the chair. The promise to put an end to the Freebirds this week in Baton Rouge. MATCH Jimmy Garvin defeated Larry Winters with the Brainbuster After the match, Sheik Adnan Al Kassie and his Army (Jake Roberts, Masked Superstars and Jos Leduc) are at the podium. Sheik Adnan Al Kassie: Masaa’ alkhayr kafa hakuk, Jim Ross! Again, Butch Reed has gone too far. He has crossed the line. Not only did he cheat to beat my men by hitting them with my own briefcase, but he stole my money. Money that was earned by selling oil to all the fools in America. Butch Reed, I promise you that this week in Baton Rouge, Jake Roberts will take your North American Title and prove to you just how week your American training has been. I have only had Jake in my army for a short time but with superior Iraqi training, he has improved by leaps and bounds and will easily defeat Reed. Then my Masked Superstars will do the same to those Patriots. Fans of Mid-South wrestling I must question your intelligence… how can you support such losers as the Patriots? Jim Ross: Jake Roberts… I must ask you what you think of your manager constantly putting down the country you have called home all your life? Adnan: That is the different in my land… Soldiers don’t talk. They fight. Generals talk…. And I have already told you all you need to know. COMMERCIALS + PROMOS FOR BATON ROUGE Before our next match, we see a video interview from Ivan & Nikita Koloff talking about how badly Nikita Koloff was going to beat Ted Dibiase this week in Baton Rouge. When the video is over, we see Ted Dibiase, wearing his NWA World Tag Team Title, at the podium. Ted Dibiase: Words… words mean very little. Nikita can scream all he wants to. Ivan can claim his ridiculous claims each time we beat them. Fact is… Ivan… your words just cost your nephew his World Title. It was you who demanded an NWA World Tag Team Title Shot against me and Doc. It was you who I easily pinned in the center of the ring giving me the World Title shot in Baton Rouge. Now I can’t wait to hear what you say about Mother Russia and America when I have the NWA World Tag Title over one shoulder and the NWA World Title over the other and all you have Nikita is …. Words! MATCH Jake “The Snake” Roberts with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie vs Mike George Before the match, Hacksaw Butch Reed comes to the ring and talks to Mike George. George shakes his hand and exits the ring. Hacksaw then asks for a house microphone. Reed: Sheik Adnan… I heard you out hear a few minutes ago talking about how easily “The Snake” is going to beat me in Baton Rouge and its because of your training. Well, why what till Baton Rouge… Let’s do it Now! The crowd explodes and Roberts seems ready. Adnan Al Kassie also seems ready, and the bell is rung. Uncharacteristically for The Snake, he rushed in to attack but Reed was ready for him. We get only a few big moves by Reed before Akbar sends in the rest of the Army. They attack Reed pretty good but the calvary was on standby and the Patriots and Harley Race rush to his aid! A real Pier 6 brawl ensues with the fan favorites eventually ending up in control of the ring. The Patriots, Reed and Race give a post-brawl interview where they seem excited to lay the boots to Adnan ‘s men again! COMMERCIALS + PROMOS FOR BATON ROUGE MATCH Rufus “Freight Train” Jones defeats Ken Timbs following three big right hands followed by a huge headbutt A quick post-match interview welcomes Rufus back to Mid-South and he is very humble but confident that he will be a great help to all his buddies in taking care of the all the problems going in the territory. After Rufus leaves, Ernie Ladd comes out with the Mid-South Champion, Bad News Allen. Ernie Ladd: Jim Ross… I think this show needs to be renamed. Power Pro Wrestling just is false advertising. It should be the Power Minute Pro Wrestling. The man with all the power, Bill Watts, stays about a minute each week; makes some biased decisions and then runs off and hides. Last week, he gets outsmarted twice. Twice… wow… that’s actually a good week for the Big Dummy to only get outsmarted only twice. Never mind… as I was saying… first I refused to allow his crooked refs to steal Bad News Allen’s title as Watts had planned and then Michael Hayes outsmarts Watts and clobbers the Blindbird, Terry Gordy. Now this week, because his Good Ol Boys and Uncle Tom’s came up short again, he goes and changes the rules. He bans me from Baton Rouge. He bans me from doing my job which is legally granted to me by the NWA! No big deal… Bad News is going to beat “Uncle Tom” Johnson in Baton Rouge with or without me. The question is… will Uncle Tom Johnson actually find Baton Rouge? Jim Ross: Is that a threat Mr. Ladd Bad News Allen: We don’t make threats… only promises. COMMERCIALS + PROMOS FOR BATON ROUGE MATCH U.S Steel defeats Ricky “The Cuban Lover” Santana with a Giant Splash After the bout, Rocky “Soul Man” Johnson comes out to the podium and is calling out Ladd and Bad News Allen. He is fuming about them making a threat to take him out before the title match in Baton Rouge. After a minute or so of calling out Ladd and Bad News, Jim Ross explains that he has just gotten word from someone in the back that Ladd and Allen have already left the arena. This does little to calm down Rocky who says that he will take the title off Bad News this week in Baton Rouge! MAIN EVENT MATCH (Time Line Remaining) The Patriots (DJ Peterson & Todd Champion) vs The Alaskan Hunters Interesting thing here was that Hacksaw Butch Reed and Harley Race come out to the ring as “security” to make sure Sheik Adnan doesn’t attack again… The match is real hard-hitting with the Patriots controlling about 60% of the action in this tough tune-up for their Mid-South Title shot against the Masked Superstars this week in Baton Rouge. After about 3 minutes, The Sheik and his Army come out and stand on the opposite side of the ring from Race and Reed. Jim Ross: Hold on… Hold on just a minute. I am getting work from a camera man in the truck that there is some commotion out in the parking lot. We are now seeing footing of Ernie Ladd and Bad News Allen tossing Rocky Johnson off one car and then into another…. Next, we cut back live to the ring, where Adnan’s Army has attacked and combined with the Alaskan Hunters, have the numbers advantage against the Patriots, Reed and Race. Jim Ross: Sorry folks, we are out of time. I just hope that Rocky Johnson, The Patriots and Butch Reed make it to Baton Rouge in one piece! This doesn’t look good. So long from the Pelican State. NWA MID SOUTH WRESTLING Lakefront Arena: New Orleans, Louisiana August 27, 1986 Partially Shown on Superstation 17 Norvel Austin defeats “Hollywood” John Tatum after the ref caught Tatum trying to use the ropes for an advantage during a pin attempt. Tatum argued back with the ref but was surprised with a roll up for the pin by Austin, Crusher Blackwell defeated Ken Timbs with the Airplane Spin-Back Drop Combo. The Masked Man with the NY Yankee mask attacked Blackwell after the bout but he was met with the same devasting move and left laying in the center of the ring. (If both Patriots win their matches, they earn another Mid-South Tag Team Title Match Patriot DJ Peterson defeated Masked Superstar #1 with Sheik Adnan Al Kassie when Akbar accidently hit his own man with the briefcase full of money. Patriot Todd Champion defeated Masked Superstar #2 with Sheki Adnan Al Kassie by DQ as Masked Superstar #1 interfered. This brought out DJ Peterson and we end up with a good old fashion brawl. The problem here for a moment was that Jos Leduc got involved and gave the advantage to the heels. Harley Race & Butch Reed hit the ring and Akbar’s Army ran for the hills. The Patriots get a Mid-South Tag Team Title Match next week in Baton Rouge. GRUDGE MATCH Harley Race & Hacksaw Butch Reed defeat Jake “The Snake” Roberts & Jos Leduc/ Sheik Adnan Al Kassie after Reed hit Leduc with a top rope football tackle as Leduc was coming after him with the briefcase. The briefcase busted open and Reed had a grand old time handing out money to the kids on his way back to the locker room. NWA Mid-South Title Match Bad News Allen © with Ernie Ladd defeated Rocky “Soul Man” Johnson as the ref was down and Ladd hit the ring and connected with a Big Boot on Johnson. NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH (If the Russians lose, who ever got the win for the champs, gets an NWA World Title Shot) Ted Dibiase & Dr. Death Steve Williams defeat Ivan & Nikita Koloff as Ted Dibiase hit the slingshot suplex on Ivan Koloff while Dr. Death and Nikita were brawling out on the floor. Ted Dibiase now gets an NWA World Title Shot next week vs Nikita in Baton Rouge. Lights Out-Blindfold Match Terry Gordy vs Michael Hayes This unsanctioned match was wild from the beginning. First of all, Michael Hayes came out with his own blindfold which was obviously see-through, but the ref was having nothing to do with this and game real blindfolds to both him and Bam Bam. Both man staggered through the opening minutes of the match but once they figured out where each other was, it turned into the brawl you would expect. Also, as you would expect, Gordy was on top for most of this match. At one point, it looked like Gordy was going to connect with the piledriver but Hayes was able to block it. Hayes decided winning this match was not really important as the NWA wouldn’t even sanction it! He yanks off his blindfold and now has such an advantage that he can’t be stopped. The problem was that he wanted to take Gordy out and went and grabbed a chair! WHAM… Hayes with the chair shot on the head of Gordy and he is down. Hayes continues to beat him until the chair is mangled into completely bend steel. The crowd is foaming at the mouth as their hatred for Hayes is growing incrementally by the minute. Finally, we get help as Dibiase and Dr. Death rush to Gordy’s rescue and Hayes makes for a quick escape!

AWA Major League Wrestling
Very fun tv show. Curt Hennig is startting to sound a lot like Mr. Perfect. Could we be seeing the beginning of a character transformation. His confidence has his partner a little shaken. Always love those off-arena segments and the one with Pricelss and the Bruise Brothers was great. I know nothing of Morrow in real life, but in this game, you have made him into a star! Ox Baker is creating a group as scary as himself... that could mean trouble for the rest of the AWA! Garvin vs Idol... this will be fun. Idol and his gimmick vs Garvin and his stiffness will make for a fun contrast in styles. I think both have the ability to put on a great show in and out of the ring so the lead up to this will be great. Great answer by Bock as to why he lost to Wahoo... it was a match for savages. I never liked Bock when I was a kid and that might have been becasue he was too articulate for me but he is a great read in this game. Good job! The last 3 matches in the Aud would have people talking for a long time. I find it hard to do these house shows before a big event as I don't want to give too much away. You did a nice job here!

Western States Wrestling
I really enjoyed your tv show. To me the territory system days where the best in wrestling. Each promotion had their roster of 15-20 "stars" and each one seemed so important. This is exactly how I feel when I read WSW and I love it. You, just as Championhship Wrestling from Florida did back in the day, have made Tyree Pride a star and this is what makes it so great. In today's world, Tyree Pride would have no spot in the sport. Looking forward to the Labor Day event. The battle royal and all the big matches will be huge for you and the NWA. Each time you tell us about the crowd calling Embry a crybaby, I get a vivd picture in my mind about this. Very well done! As for the big event at the Sports Arena, I like that you added a Taped Fist Match. This gets fans ready for the Labor Day show. Throw in the Bunkhouse Match and you give us a true WSW feel. Also, I give you credit for keeping Kendall strong as we head into the big event. One Man Gang has been such a monster and you found away to keep it all moving forward. Nice job.
