  1. I am torn on both issues here. The reason Rick Steiner was not in the game is that he actually was listed as debuting in 1983 when he used his real name. When Spaldoni and I first came up with this idea for the game, we started with the year 1984 and we each put in two promotions and then held a draft. I believe it was the AWA, Memphis, Stampede and Southwest. Each new writer who joined added two new promotions until all of the major ones were in. The reason for this is that we had both been involved in other games where we joined late and had some weak rosters and we did not want this to happen to our new writers so they would not get turned off. This also turned out to be the main reason so many wrestlers have been missed. Wrestlers often did not wrestle 10 matches in any one promotion in their first year or they were simply in a promotion that we did not use in the game. Steiner wrestled early on but not much in anyone territory. Of late, we have used the "finders keeper rule" but before that, we used supplemental drafts and picked newly found wrestlers from there. In September, I worked on finding names to add to our game as free agency was low. I found 15 wrestlers including some big names like J.J. Dillion and Carlos Colon. We held a draft for these wrestlers. We held 4 such supplemental drafts in the first 9 months of this project as new promotions joined and each time we did this, the rule was whoever dropped out first had the first pick in the next supplemental draft if we found any names. Following this rule, Spaldoni, who had the second pick but dropped out before he picked anyone would be first in line for Steiner. Rain, who had the 8th pick in that draft also dropped out before he chose anyone would be second in line if Spaldoni did not want him. I believe this system to be better then a "finders keepers rule." Steiner is also a good example of why I think we should keep the 10 match rule. Even though he did wrestle in 1983, he did not win a match in a major promotion until 1985 and he didn't win a title until 1987. I think the rule protects us from rushing people as I would find it hard to keep Rick Steiner on my roster and have him lose every match for two years. The same goes for Mick Foley and Scott Steiner who do not win matches in major territories until 1988. Since we are already allowed to make up jobbers names why ruin future top stars by jobbing them for two years which is what we should do. I am in fact having trouble keeping Leon White down. I so want to bring in Vader but I know it is just wrong as he barely won half of his 15 decisions in 1985.
  2. Rain is correct! Any suggestions on how to proceed with this as it is a bug name!
  3. Tough call this week but I am giving the nod to the Alabama loop. Sawyer vs Brad is such a great match and the wild finished tipped the scales in favor of Bama! I do however like that Jos Leduc is getting back some of his wild side here in Twin Sates and Bota has become Must See TV for me!

First, the TV show.... I swear if you were the writer back then, the territory system might have survived. Even if Vince took all the talent to the WWF, it would not have mattered. You now have me interested in the Vinnie Vin Man Valentino! Nice build up of Tiger Jeet as the Karachi Vice even think he is too crazy! You have also put some work in building up baby face Ayala. This will be interesting as in the end of the feud, only one may survive. One of my favorite territories I ever fantasy booked for was Polynesian Power Pro and Super Fly Tui was one of my favorite. Brilliant idea putting him with Leilani Again... awesome job making the not so exciting Greg Gagne exciting. Gagne vs Lawler is now must see TV as who knows what the Elite will do next. Nice job having Slater as the champ as he can do it all. He can travel everywhere and be interesting , will sell tickets, act as a heel, act as a baby face. He gives you so many options! As for the show at the HemisFair Arena.... - Like Champagne Morrow.... his new gimmick is going to be fun. - Not sure the Vin Man is a one women guy... but Brenda looks like she is trying. Funny angle here. Really enjoying it. - Hate to see Cooley go but Wildfire is a favorite of mine so excited to see what's next for him and cousin Johnny. - Tiger Jeet is one scary dude! Colon vs Tiger is going to be wild. I just remember Carlos vs the Butcher and the blood flowed like water in a river. Going to be fun. -Dr. Dream Machine might be in need of new nurses as the Medics seem to be struggling. Great write up of the main event. Really could picture it as it was happening. I also thought the match was going to end 4 different ways and it had my on the edge of my seat. WHAT A GREAT MATCH!
  5. Again, Platt was right... This would have been an awesome ticket to get! Poor Hollywood Tatum... He did tend to shoot off hos mouth too much! And the weapons appear... I think I rank the Voo Doo Dust as #1 followed by the Missed Fireball. Bota is one dangerous dude! Poor Don Carson only had the loaded glove. Nice job heating up the Sawyer/Armstrong feud here with Buzz costing Brad a win. Also makes Leduc's stature rise!. LIke the draw between Brisco and Fuller as it keeps them both toward the top of the roster... No Harm Done to either! Like the Battens here... perfect team to get the first run. Armstrong "helping" Fuller? But then walks away without a word. This gives me that uneasy feeling. Also, a side note from the show, I think the roster moves you made today are going to make Twin States really interesting!
  6. Twin States is hitting its grove. Enjoying RPG and Ron Wright here, They are both awesome at bringing in the heat. I like that the NWA is working well together. Good use of Landell and Watts! Watts will now be drawing the ire of Wright after they way that main event ended up. Who did turn on that music? Can't wait for the tournament and the 4 corner match to get the local titles going. Armstrong vs Leduc is a huge first round match. Also, excited to see if Carson can help Tatum enough to get passed Brisco. Glad you thought of George Burns and pairing him with Bota makes it very interesting. I agree with Pratt at the end... If you are anywhere near Dothan, What are you waiting for? Get A Ticket!
  7. Thanks for the info
  8. Was wondering if any one had any information on the show loop Watts used in 83,84 and 85. Also was wondering what was his biggest towns. Some said New Orleans but from the info I have found, New Orleans looked dead as it draw just over a thousand people. Also when did Watts do his TV taping. Any other info would be helpful!
  9. I think Pacific Coast Wrestling is on fire. I am really enjoying the increase in the interview with Bonnema. I am looking forward to seeing the Pacific coast title situation you have developed. With both Steamboat and Gilbert going after Bam Bam, this is going to be fun,
  10. Both have been added to free agency and are opened to being picked up by any roster.
  11. Like the Alabama and Mississippi loops as it gives your entire roster some work. Wow, if Robley was not hated enough.... he is now Comrade! Ohhh boy! Armstrong vs Sawyer and the wild finish gives Alabama the win over Mississippi this week i my opinion but I would have been happy seeing either. Angel of Death might be lucky that Brad was helping out his little brother. This feud is going to be one of my favorites.
  12. NWA Houston continues to be on a roll. Enjoyed the Sullivan interview. His stable is pure evil! Really happy you put the titles on the Youngbloods here! The win over the MNE helps their stock to continue to rise. Tojo under Sullivan's spell. This is going to get WILD! Garea and Goulet are a legit tag team but wonder how long they can keep the belts in the wild city of Houston! Very interested to see where you take your women's division. It is truly a missing part of our game and I am glad someone is taking the lead on this.

The Vin Man seems to be off to a nice start here. He is sure making a statement with his ring entrance! Can't wait to see what happens when he steps up in competition. The Elite grabs another title! I am really liking this group. Myers with a nice when and it seems like we got another feud started. Slater vs Orndorff is Main Event anywhere in the country. When the heel gets some love from the crowd, you know it was an awesome bout! This is an awesome feud. Would like to see these guys go at it for real.
  14. NWA adds Buzz Tyler and releases Rick Link
  15. Wasn't sure where to put this so I just put it here. What a day for Dawn of War! We had about 40 new posts including 14 new shows. We have really hit a great stride. Great to have Gene back and Den giving us so much material. Can't wait to see what Dex has for us with the AWA! It was awesome. Every time I finished reading a show, it seemed like there was a new one waiting for me. If I haven't gotten to yours, I will soon. It seems like everyone has become energized at the same time. This is going to be a fun summer of Fantasy Booking!
  16. Great card at Dothan! Your format is so easy to read which is part of the reason I enjoy it so much! I can already tell that you and Ron Wright are meant to be together. His chisel and crazy stable is going to bring such chaos to Twin States that I am going to be tuning in each week to see what happens next. I think for this first card, you did a great job giving us some insight into the hierarchy of your roster Mad Dog survives Fuller but for how long?
  17. Sounds perfect to me. He is yours!
  18. NWA sends Rick Rude to the WWF for Tony Atlas
  19. Everything seems right in the game with Gene back in the Southeast! Really enjoy the team of Platt and Gossett. Their interaction makes me laugh week after week. Fullers/Armstrongs in the the same place means everyone needs to be on their toes. Both coming in as baby faces but how long will it last? Dapper Don Carson and Christian Ron Wright make two perfect managers for your area and they are going to bring some serious heat. Looking forward to seeing what you do with Bota the Witch Doctor! Great first card for the Farm Center. Fuller vs Sawyer is a barnburner! Anything the NWA can do to help its new promotion, just ask!

Great exit for the Armstrongs. In this game we move talent around so often and it is hard to come up with reasons for it on out TV shows. We usually use the big loser-leave-town bouts or say nothing but your idea was very creative and classy. Nice job! Nice debut for Joel Deaton! Nice way to change Gary Morrow's character. Very interesting. Wonder if this is another departure or a new gimmick. Either way... brilliant. Love the Sweet Ebony Express. I am glad Sweet Brown Sugar ended up in a good place. He was one of my favorites growing up and I am glad he ended up with the King of the Midcarders. Oh yeah! Dr. Dream Machine is here! The Medics have not said a word but are already one of my favorite teams in the game. The Beauty Shop was once again a big hit. Wildifre is underrated in my opinion. Where ever he went, he was Main Event Material and people always seem to put him down. In a southern style promotion, he was magic on the mic and could draw the heat or get the love from any crowd he was in front off. No different here. Wildfire and Johnny are going to the fans going! Poor Wendell Cooley better get some help. You know your territory is hitting on all cylinders when you can make Greg Gagne interesting. Really enjoying the Skaaland and the Elite. WOW! Was shocked that Sivi Afo got the win over Studd and then ever more shocked at how Studd reacted. Can't wait for nest week to see the fall out of this one. Lawler back wit the gold just seems normal but he better be ready for ALL the ELITE. As Gagne said, the Elite is a supporting family!
  21. Awesome set of house shows! My favorite matches included: Billy Jack vs Snuka. Billy Jack just seems ready to explode Orton vs Smothers. Both of these two are really underrated if you ask me. Dundee vs Golden... seems like it should be in the Southeast but it works anywhere! More Bully please! Texas Red vs Konga.... one of those matches that would be awesome if wrestling was real! My money is on Konga! These type of shows are a testament to the roster you have built along with your planning
  22. Hamilton should be there. I just added him to the list. If you want him, he is all yours.
  23. Enjoyed Legendary Showdown VI I like the debut of Landell. Houston seems like a good fit for him along with being the perfect place for Dory. Very interested to see where you go with the whole women's division that you are creating. Great main event. I know I say it week after week, but I think Sullivan is great here. His evilness makes him main event week in and week out and you can just keep rotating baby faces in to go after him kind of like the opposite of Laweler in Memphis or Hogan in the WWF were they just rotated in heels to go after them. Sullivan has put Houston on the list of my favorite reads each week.
  24. NWA sends Jesse Ventura, Bobby Jaggers, Mr. Saito and Joe Lightfoot to the AWA for Stan Hansen, Sir Oliver Humperdink, Blackjack Mulligan and Mr. Olympia
  25. Great show. That main event has me wanting Steamboat vs Gordy. Really enjoying Bully's early days here in the PCW!
