This is another great match, in a series of them that year between the Fantastics and Express. Cornettes tantrum in the beginning is a sight to behold, even trying to bribe the referee from being put in the cage. The match is a great back and forth match, with the end coming when Eaton uses a chain on Rogers for the win. ****1/2 The Clash match might be the best of the series, with the title change on Worldwide coming in second, but I need to watch that again. Then this one.

Dusty says they knocked over my courvoisier (cognac) and then quickly says, I mean my water. So freaking funny.

I looked forward to this match a lot when I was a kid and have seen it multiple times since then. I really enjoy it, even now. I wish it was a little longer, but its great for what it is. Also...Dustys commentary during this match is amazing and hilarious.

I just started watching SMW from the beginning. Also Ive been watching all the shows on the network from WWF/NWA (WCW) starting in 1987 and moving forward. Just the major shows and house shows, not all the prime time episodes and Saturday night episodes. But all the PPVs, clashes, SNMEs, and house shows

The biggest pop Ive seen in person, was when Austin came out at WrestleMania X-7. It was insane!

Watched this match again today, after not seeing it for many years. This was perhaps Dave Boy's last Great match, and what a performance from Shawn! This was one of the top heel performances in 1997. Shawn is a complete ass the entire match, to Davey Boy, the crowd, and the Hart Family. The crowd heat is insane on this match. Sure Undertaker vs Bret from this show was better, but Shawn and Davey Boy really put on a show. ****

This is one of the best matches of all time. It would be considered artwork in my book, along with some other spectacular matches. But it's so good, I'd consider it art. It has a really hot crowd, and encompasses so many stories into it, that it's crazy. Taue's great year, Misawa still being the ace and tough as hell, Akiyama's rise that year, and Kawada's redemption story. The end sequence is amazing, and much of it reminds me of the 6/9/95 match as well. Kawada and Taue work together so well in this match, and do whatever it takes to win. After Akiyama is dispatched via the chokeslam off the apron to the floor, they really concentrate their efforts into destroying Misawa. Akiyama eventually fights back, but is hit with the Chokeslam/Backdrop Combo and then a Dangerous Backdrop as well. Misawa then is further destroyed by a Dangerous Backdrop and two big powerbombs from Kawada to do him in, after suffering through a lot of punishment during the match from both Kawada and Taue. Kawada pins Misawa after the second powerbomb at the end, to finish his redemption story and the quest for the Real World Tag Leauge Final is complete. *****

Watched this one again earlier today. This is a super short match, due to Kazmaier's "injury" and the fact that he sucks. The Enforcers prove they are smart by attacking him earlier in the evening, basically leaving Rick Steiner all by himself in the title match. Kazmaier tags himself in, and Rick gets pissed at him. Kazmaier cleans house for a few seconds until he goes for a press slam, gets whacked in the taped ribs by Arn and pinned by Zbyszko. I loved the Enforcers and wish they would've had a longer run. But a couple of months later, the ended up dropping the belts in one of my favorite matches of all time to Steamboat/Dustin Rhodes at Clash 17.
