I believe the match date is 12/9/78 (and it's in the All Japan archive).

I started a project to create a list of my hundred favourite matches from scratch, where a match only makes the list if I watch it and review it. I've posted my reviews and the list so far on an FB group and not here because of the comments in another political thread and the cowardice in demands the thread be closed when a dissenting voice appeared. I decided to come back and take part in the 2K project going on here because I felt it silly to abandon an informative and otherwise intelligent forum over one thread. But with comments like this: I'd rather miss out and buy whatever footage I need myself as I don't wish to be associated with people like this repugnant piece of work or the board's blatant left wing leaning in general. And again, when dissenters appear, the calls to close the thread soon follow.

Just watching the 92/93 ECW Timeline with Tod Gordon and these are his answers: Doug Gilbert. He was paranoid from drugs and believed Gordon was working with Heyman and Crockett to push him out, so he quit.

They've uploaded a non-tournament CWC match between Cedric Alexander and Oney Lorcan. And with a struggle over moves, avoiding each other's strikes, a standing surfboard sequence, neck work, and half-nelson suplexes, they pay homage to the two greatest. Worth a watch.

I had Taue at fourteen, Akiyama at fifteen, and switched them several times before submitting my ballot so I'm not going to strongly argue that Taue's the better. I gave him the nod because of the 95 CC final and TC matches. They're two of my favourite matches of all time and I don't believe Akiyama has a match at their level.

This is probably the best indication of how much there is available.

I had The Destroyer at 81. Such a fun, smart and skilled grappler. A real shame we don't have more footage.

I didn't rank Virus. I had Kerry at 97. And Ikeda at 54. I probably should have put him in the top fifty, but it's nice to see he's crept into the top 100. Hopefully it'll be a while before we see Ishikawa.

Quick suggestion: Maybe link to the relevant nominee thread for everyone in the top 100 to make it easy for people to find out more about them.

If that sort of "abuse" is no longer tolerated he wouldn't have a successful school club.
