  1. I ranted awhile ago about this. They brought AJ in to be just another mid card guy. When he signed I assumed it was because of how many people were out. I also wrongfully assumed/hoped that he would be somebody they would feed to Cena, Reigns, Ambrose, etc. I kind of expected him to have a run as a top heel like Del Rio, Sheamus, Wyatt, etc. I kind of expected it to be like when I was a kid and they would bring in somebody like Bossman, Earthquake, Kamala, One Man Gang, etc and they would have a nice little run going against Hogan before Hogan moved onto Andre, Savage, Warrior or whoever. Which was sort of AJs role in NJPW.
  2. You hear guys like Austin, CM Punk, and Foley say that the only way to be a main guy in the WWE is for Vince to be a personal fan of your work, which is understandable. So when a wrestler is popular or one of my personal favorites, yet the company does nothing with them, I am frustrated like everybody else, but I try and chalk it up to that possibly.
  3. Questions- how hands on was Stu in the 70s and 80s as a trainer? Jericho talked about how he and Lance Storm were trained by a guy who had graduated the previous year. Also does anybody have a list of people Satanico has trained? Hasn't he been the main trainer for CMLL for 15-20 years now?
  4. I would probably go with 1990 AJPW Hansen, Kobashi, Kawada, Misawa, Terry Funk, Dory Funk Jr., Tenryu, Jumbo, Baba, Destroyer, Taue, Fuchi, Kikuchi, Terry Gordy, Steve Williams, Kroffat, and Dynamite. Plus Andre, Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes for a couple of tours. Thats 20. I doubt they were ever all on the same tour at the same time, but I'd bet at least 15 or so were on the same tour.
  5. Most of the guys mentioned- HBK, Yamamoto, Slaughter, Kerry, Undertaker are somewhere in the bottom half of my list. For me it would probably be AJ Styles. He didn't make my list but his NJPW run was incredible. There were also a few very good ones to great in TNA and ROH.

I don't like ties... "ties are like fucking an ugly woman"
  7. I think the crowd reaction that Ziggler gets shows that no matter what anybody says, wins and losses matter. If a guy is treated like he doesn't matter in the booking and looses the majority of his matches, the crowd starts to react to the guy like he doesn't matter. I honestly can't think of anybody other than maybe the Big Show, who has lost more often then Ziggler in the past 4 or 5 years. Wins matter, look at guys like Taz in ECW, he spent the better part of 2 years running through everybody and despite being 5'8 and pudgy fans bought into him being a badass. Despite Ziggler being a legit badass who holds NCAA records for most pins in a career and in a season, he looses so often that his crowd reaction is usually apathy and indifference.
  8. So which ends up the better shows, WWE Global Cruiserweight tournament or this years Super J Cup?
  9. The Blond Bombers for a tag team. You hear people like Austin hype Patterson and Stevens as one of the all time best tag teams, but they weren't nominated. I think there is just a lack of footage, when I went to nominate them I could only find 2 matches online.
  10. Submitted mine.
  11. Interestingly, the @WWEArchivist twitter account posted a photo of Harley Race bodyslamming Andre a few months ago. For a WWE employee to post something like that is a breach of the few kayfabe lines they have left. On a 5 Things they showed Hogan slamming Andre from the Shea match. Whats the full list of guys who slammed Andre? Hansen, Hogan (several times), Canek, Inoki (several times), Race, Choshu, Warrior, Kamala, who else?
  12. Nice. I see WWE potentially doing serious damage to the top level indies the way they did to the territories in the 80s. I don't really see WWE doing serious damage to New Japan. If New Japan can survive what it went through during the 2000s, then it can survive any WWE talent raid. Ganjins come and go. Nakamura and Ibushi are replaceable. With wrestlers New Japan has away on excursion and the talent they currently have in the dojo (ie Tomoyuki Oka), New Japan will be just fine in the future.
  13. The attendance figure of 93,000 for WMIII. And how they keep saying they are going to break that record this year. Suposedly WMIII was closer to 78,000, but that wouldn't have been the all time attendance figure at the Silverdome. Any of the attendance figures New Japan put out for Dome Shows from 2004 to 2011.
  14. Super J Cup is coming back this summer... A way to get over the then returning Kamaitachi?
  15. Was wondering if you've done a BIGLAV for Art Barr. The guy may have been the best heel in the world for the last 2 years of his life. Eddie is a 37, so going by that where does Barr place seeing as how during their run he was the better of the two, yet his career was cut so short which would impact his G,L, and V. I'm having a hard time in general placing the guys who had short careers, ie Barr, Magnum, David Von Erich, Gino, etc
  16. 1- Flair 2- Funk 3- Hansen 4- Tenryu 5- Kobashi 6- Daniel Bryan 7- Kawada 8- Misawa 9- Lawler 10- Bock DiBiase goes 35

Because of college basketball season, I wanted to know who is on everybody's bubble? Personally for me right now- Last 4 in- Brody, CM Punk, MiSu, AJ Styles Last 4 out- Dick Murdoch, Dutch, Slaughter, Yuki Ishikawa, Next 4 out- Martel, HHH, Samaya, Takada

I really, really, really like Big Show as a worker. I don't put him in the top 100 however. I don't even know if he's in the top 10 Super Heavyweights. I only have 4 Super Heavyweights in my top 100 right now (Andre, Baba, Vader, and Undertaker).
  19. I've got Casas at 10 and Lyger at 14 right now. I wouldn't fault anybody for having either of them #1. People talk about Casas still cranking out good matches, but Lyger's is still putting out good matches in the BSOJs every year.
  20. Explain to me how Flair is a 10 for variety when he basically has had 3 different matches? Really its the same 3 matches just with 30 different opponents.
  21. WWE- Most of Raw usually, most PPV main events NXT- catch most episodes NJPW- Most big shows, always at least catch the main event CMLL- Usually catch it on LATV each week, also catch whatever cubsfan uploads that looks good Lucha Underground- Watch most episodes

Could somebody recommend some Flair from before his first reign as world champ. Stuff with Wahoo, Piper, Dusty, or whoever. Also never saw the 95 G1, which Flair matches should I catch in that. Thanks
  23. Pure Dynamite by Dynamite Kid is great. Headquarters by Quackenbush was surprisingly good. Its different from all the other wrestling books because it deals with what its like to not be successful and to spend your time struggling on the indies, starving, making no money.
  24. Hypothetically.... Biff Sombra Ibushi Itami Balor Zayn Kalisto Kendrick Gable Sin Cara II Rich Swann Simon Gotch Breeze Aries Neville Xavier Wood Gargano and at least 15 more guys...
  25. Locks- Cena, Dustin, Brock, Taker, Nakamura Probables- HHH, Styles
