[2001-02-24-ECWA-Super 8] Low Ki vs American Dragon
It's so crazy to see how great both of these guys were already in early 2001. The intensity they execute EVERYTHING with is fantastic - the sense of urgency was off the charts; you really get the feeling that they wanted to finish each other as quick as possible w/ the big bombs & all. The offense of both men looked so goddamn amazing already at this point. A fantastic match & truly must see for anyone who's a fan of Bryan or/and Ki. ****1/2

[2017-05-18-NJPW-Best of the Super Juniors] Hiromu Takahashi vs Jushin Liger
Definitely my most awaited match up of the whole tournament (alongside KUSHIDA/Taguchi) & they delivered just like I knew they would. The opening was super great & set up the pace for rest of the match - loved Liger's work on top, it's always a pleasure to see him do his thing & Hiromu sold + bumped his ass off for him. The transitions were also really great; loved Hiromu getting the advantage by using his quickness & then going for that big apron powerbomb. Him working the heat on Liger was terrific & Liger's big comeback was obviously superb. The nearfalls towards the end w/ Liger almost getting the W were amazing as well. Just a really damn good match. ***3/4

[2017-05-15-WWE-Raw] Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns
I would honestly call this match a carryjob from Reigns, and hot damn, best carryjob I've seen all year long. What a terrific performance by the Big Dog - Finn's offense looked super weak, I did like the idea of him going after Reigns' injury, but as I said, the offense looked weak - what made it work extremely well though is that Roman f'n Reigns sold his ass off for him. He sold Finn's weak offense like death. And of course Reigns' offense looked killer, as usual. What a fantastic professional wrestler he is. Great match & an amazing performance by Reigns. ****1/4

[2017-05-12-NJPW/ROH-War of the Worlds Tour] Adam Cole vs Hiroshi Tanahashi
This ruled. Both guys had their working boots on - loved Cole's work on top, definitely one of his best performances when it comes to working the heat on his opponent. Tana was great working from underneath, sold his ass off & all of his comebacks were tremendous. If this truly is it for Adam Cole in ROH, then he went out with a bang. He more than held his own against one of the greatest in ring talents of all-time & delivered one of the best matches of his career. ****

[2017-05-12-NJPW/ROH-War of the Worlds Tour] Bully Ray & Mark & Jay Briscoe vs CHAOS (Hirooki Goto & Rocky Romero & Baretta)
A really awesome, non-stop action brawl. Easily the best one the Bully + Briscoes trio has had so far. ***3/4

[2017-05-12-NJPW/ROH-War of the Worlds Tour] Jay White vs Will Ospreay
A sprint spotfest through & through. They went all out in this one - I feel like if they had gone even 5 minutes longer this could've reached the overkill status, but thankfully they didn't do that & as a result this was very good. ***1/2

[2017-01-04-NJPW-Wrestle Kingdom XI] Tetsuya Naito vs Hiroshi Tanahashi
As expected, Tanahashi & Naito put on an absolute masterclass of pro wrestling. You got two of the most charismatic, most popular stars going against each other - it's The Ace vs. The Man Who Owned 2016, the most popular rising star in the company. The psychology was unreal with the callbacks to their previous matches, the leg work & the selling. The drama was superb throughout & the match did not overstay it's welcome in any shape or form. ****3/4

[2017-01-04-NJPW-Wrestle Kingdom XI] Katsuyori Shibata vs Hirooki Goto
This was just absolutely wonderful. You got your classic NEVER style stuff with them trading stiff strikes, but what put this over as a true classic was the fantastic way they built into those big moments in the match w/ the chain wrestling which had a great sense of urgency, the counters, the transitions etc. Just everything I wanted out of this match up. MOTN. ****3/4

[2017-05-10-WWE-NXT] Hideo Itami vs Roderick Strong
This was an outstanding, physical violent battle w/ a great sense of competition. Both guys were fantastic in their control segments w/ their terrific looking offense. The transitions were great. I watched their ROH match from 2006 recently & this was on the same level as that one in my eyes. ****1/2

[2017-04-22-AJPW-Champion Carnival] Joe Doering vs Kento Miyahara
No wasted motion or dull moment with this only going 13 minutes - the story was that Doering dominated The Ace by working over his back. I thought that Doering did a really fantastic job doing that. The Boston Crab drama was fantastic. Miyahara also delivered a superb selling performance - he really put over Doering's brutal work by selling his ass off w/ his physical selling as well as his tremendous vocal & facial selling. His comebacks were tremendous & when he got the W, you really got the feeling that he just barely survived. Fantastic match. ****1/2

[2014-03-04-NOAH-Great Voyage in Tokyo] KENTA & Masato Tanaka vs Naomichi Marufuji & Tetsuya Naito
This was fantastic. Loved the Naito vs. KENTA interactions, superb stuff. Tanaka & Marufuji beat the shit out of each other too & it was great. KENTA's FIP segment was super strong, great selling from him. Hot finishing stretch. Yep, this ruled big time. ****1/2

[2014-02-22-NOAH] Yuji Nagata vs KENTA
For the most part (95%) this was the stereotypical NOAH main event that went on for what-felt-like-40-minutes, had no heat at all & featured just dull, boring action. There was some good stuff in it though, they sneaked in a good 5 minute match in there. It's a shame that in the end it went 25 though. *1/2

[2013-05-12-NOAH-Ark New Chapter] KENTA vs Takashi Sugiura
One of the more underrated puro classics of the 2010's - KENTA & Sugiura delivered the best match they've had against each other (it's close between this & 11/13/11). Very violent with them beating each other up with those epic strikes of theirs. The story of Sugiura controlling KENTA for majority of the match while KENTA made his comebacks was well done & the finishing stretch was absolutely fantastic. ****1/2

[2013-08-24-NOAH-Summer Navigation] KENTA & Takashi Sugiura vs Naomichi Marufuji & Shinsuke Nakamura
This was just an outstanding match. Superb interactions between all involved - highlights were definitely the Nakamura vs. KENTA stuff, they showcased intense, hard hitting, great chemistry in this one. It's a shame that this excellent, classic tag match was never followed with a big singles match between the 2. ****1/2

[2009-06-22-NOAH-Southern Navigation] Kensuke Sasaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima vs KENTA & Go Shiozaki
This was heading towards the ****1/2+ classic territory, fantastic interactions between all 4 men in Go, KENTA, Kenskay & Nakajima, but then it went on & on. Still a great match, but not he classic it had all the potential in the world to be. Would've been much better had they trimmed it a little bit. ****

[2009-05-30-ROH-HDNet] Chris Hero & Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards vs KENTA & Kevin Steen & El Generico
https://youtu.be/ak1LX4XE2S4 Really hot interactions between all 6-men involved, a fantastic Steen FIP segment, a terrific KENTA hot tag, great psychology w/ Generico's knee + an awesome finishing stretch. Great match. ****1/4

[2017-04-23-K-DOJO-15th Anniversary Show] Kota Ibushi vs TAKA Michinoku
This was lots of fun. TAKA shined - loved his work over Ibushi's neck. Ibushi on the offense is always fun, I just wish he had sold the neck work more, because with that this match could've reached greater heights. It was still really good though. ***1/2
