From Crockett to Chaos
I've been doing a podcast with a buddy of mine Jim for a little while and I finally think we've gotten into a groove. As the name suggests, we are watching from the start of the WCW era onwards and this latest episode is our review of Halloween Havoc 90! I had a blast, I hope you do listening. https://youtu.be/N0eHS0VJh3g

Bruno Sammartino
Thanks to further footage being unearthed, I can easily state that Bruno deserves a spot in this project. Outside of just being a really solid wrestler for his day, he had a great look and his fire as a babyface was second to very few, if none. I really fell in love with his matches against Ivan Koloff, Superstar, and even his stuff with Kowalski that I've seen has been remarkable shit. I used to hate on Bruno because until the late 2000s we really had very little of his full matches, but in 2026 he is a top 100, and perhaps even top 50 for me.

Blue Panther
How nuts is it that Panther is STILL wrestling as the GWE '26 will release? Easy addition to me not even with current day stuff added. Legend of legends at a time when he really was needed for CMLL to survive and the way he's become an institution is just dope.

Prince Devitt
He will be on my list as well even with these last ten years of WWE bullshit. He was THE foreigner that was so good they had to build Bullet Club for him and it became the most iconic group of this era. He then put the work in, had great matches with Ibushi, Omega, and then later Tanahashi before really molding black and gold NXT around him for a short period. First ever Universal Champ, and he always showed passion and heart in his work. Easy addition for me.

ROH Supercard of Honor 2025
Update: it ruled a lot! Athena/Thunder exceeded all my expectations, Lee Moriarty feels like that next technical darling of the biz, fuck Sons of Texas, THAT WOMENS FOUR WAY! THAT GODDAMNED MAIN EVENT! ROH just always delivers on huge shows, my issue continues to be this "brand" deserves more eyes on it than Honor Club can offer them.

[1989-10-02-WWF-Primetime Wrestling] Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect
This felt like a great sprint of a match but not even in the sense that it's all gas, no brakes. It was like a nice little preview of what they'd end up doing in longer form later down the road, and at the end of the day this is still Perfect getting that initial big push so he had to go over Bret. I watched this thinking "what IF this initial attempt at a Bret singles run had gone on in 89?" Amazing finish with the roll through holding tights, really solid atmosphere and any Schiavone WWF stuff is a gem in my eyes.

[1990-WWA] El Hijo del Santo & Blue Demon Jr vs Eddy & Mando Guerrero
I really dug how this thing starts with a fuckin' all out brawl, no illusions that there's gonna be order. Eddie already had strong presence even though he's clearly the greenest of this match. I hadn't seen enough Mando before this but I was blown away by the just total piece of shit heel work he could do all the while being very capable athletically. That little drop down into a lariat is dope and something modern tags could learn from. It's all about El Hijo del Santo being picked apart and Blue Demon Jr. being a stupid twat about it. In all seriousness, this ruled in every way! The redemption of the technicos is just masterful here, del Santo gives me all the goods I ask of him since he's just about the coolest luchador I've seen so far. Lame as hell finish but I'd imagine it was to protect the technicos.

AEW Missing and not in action
Yeah I gave NXT a try this week and just can't understand how they think her first major thing on TV is...tagging with Grace? I'm sure it's leading to her big full heel turn on her and a title angle but I don't give a fuck also?

[1990-CWA] "We Are Dynamite!"
Wrestling Playlists brought me here and I'll be frank, I started the Yearbooks section of the database and this video pounced onto me like it's a Monty Brown TNA squash. The horrid Madness inspired dancing in the streets, the awful lip-syncing, and then the actual wrestling bits would strobe in and I suddenly am very excited for come Catch! Seeing baby Owen was heartwarming. As previously mentioned, Akira losing his mind in the back is just amazing. Otto was a visionary, of what I'm not sure.

PTBN Reaction Show: Extreme Rules 2016
Same here Johnny is just super chill and hilarious. Too often, I feel like people take wrestling WAY too seriously and he's always there to bring things back down to the silliness of it all. Also, I can confirm that as a male adult my friends are indeed stupid motherfucking cocksuckers but they're cool!

Guys who didnt "fit in"
Taz in WWF. For a guy that was such an interesting character and top guy in ECW, he just never worked in WWF.
