Comic books and Manga Thread
That's like saying you've heard Watchmen is good. Or Sandman. Or <insert favourite title>. Doom Patrol is superb.

Greatest Match Ever Project
Jumbo only had seven matches? That's ... interesting.

WWE TV 04/15 - 04/21: Superstar Shakeup but the real Shakeup is a country who arrests and beats up its teachers
Visited Notre Dame three times in the past. Happy memories. Today is indeed surreal. This will come off as a mere platitude, but I am glad no loss of life is being reported, and that the fire was supposedly caused by an accident, rather than malice.

Wrestlemania 35: The KawadaSmile tribute thread
I'm pretty sure you were still breathing but I was likewise nearly comatose.

What was the match length? Bring on the main event already.

[1994-03-20-WWF-Wrestlemania X] Bret Hart vs Owen Hart
I love this match. Most days of the year if you ask me what is the best match in company history, I'd say it's this one. That might be controversial in some quarters as this doesn't have the cachet of being a main event, but I don't care. This match delivered such a great story that it's my pick.

R.I.P. Dynamite Kid
I have a lot of time for Dynamite's time in Portland as a much older fan; as a young kid I saw him in Stampede and WWF, and he made a big impression.

World Cast: A WCCW Review
When he's fired up and coherent, he does a good promo. (Johnny Sorrow on David von Erich) I admit, I laughed out loud at this observation.

83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff
Couldn't disagree more, I always found him to be good in the ring, but rarely good outside of the ring, and mostly saddled with poor gimicks. He would have fared much better with a good manager.

RIP Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart
Loved the Anvil's promos as a kid. Another part of my childhood gone. Sad news.

Comic books and Manga Thread
I have a big comics collection in storage (mostly 80s and 90s Marvel titles with some DC and indie titles) but these days I buy and read the tremendous Astro City, and the new adaptation of Neil Gaiman's American Gods. If you asked me to rate some of my all-time favourite stuff it'd be Astro City and these: Lone Wolf and Cub Sandman Watchmen and a few shorter runs of Amazing Spider-Man, Swamp Thing, and so on.

If Wrestlers Were Cheeses, What Cheeses Would They Be (Really)
I can speak up for (#24) Mull, it is a great place to visit, and the cheese is fine too. Gruyere is a great pick for Jumbo (#11). I watch Jumbo matches often - he'd still be in my top five in GWE - and I regularly, happily, eat gruyere cheese, it's a staple for me. This thread is tremendous, I'm going to seek out a few of the more obscure cheeses I'd not heard of before.

The big announcement
Best of luck with this.

If Wrestlers Were Cheeses, What Cheeses Would They Be (Really)
Outstanding. I have Swiss relatives, I've been to Switzerland, and I've had #96. It's great. I love cheese and I love wrestling, this thread is for me.

General Chat topic
Grew up going to Leafs games in late 70s early 80s, but am a lifelong Vancouver Canucks fan. I've played hockey since I was five. Best hockey moment: 2010 Olympic gold medal men's hockey game. I was about 100 feet from where the golden goal was scored.

Bruno Sammartino, 1935-2018
It even features a hit song by Winnipeg's own Crash Test Dummies! I can remember going out to buy their first CD in 1991 at A&B Sound, a Vancouver institution that's sadly been shuttered for a while. I'm getting old ...
