Having one of your worst WM after one of your best WM is hilarious. At least Fênix and El Gran Americano is giving them something.

WWE's roster is indeed bloated, but I do feel that there are some acts on the cusp of being released/becoming agents or part-timers, which was more apparent during this year's Rumble. I'm a big Miz fan, but there is absolutely no on-screen role for him and that won't change at all with their current presentation. I can absolutely see people like Finn and Nattie either jumping ship or just moving to backstage functions, and people like Owens just quietly retiring. I think the bloat is a means of avoiding talent droughts like during the New Generation. And, of course, they are going to cut costs as much as possible. AEW has a very solid foundation (the four pillars bullshit a while ago aged horribly) in Ospreay/Swerve/Hangman/Toni/Statlander/Mercedes/FTR, but at the same time I do feel that they should pay attention to any of the more experienced WWE talent that might get released.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Speaking of head trauma, is The Rock/Mankind I Quit Match the most jarring instance of unprofessionalism that didn't turn into a full-on shoot? As for actual headbutts, it seems to me that it's becoming a lost art, much like a proper worked punch.

Not even just Danielson, Gable is doing that shit almost weekly and it ALWAYS looks gnarly. How that move isn't flat out banned is beyond me.

I do agree with you that systemic violence is more than often overlooked when analyzing those cases (Snuka killed his then-girlfriend like 20 years prior, the entire Macho Man/Elizabeth relationship was filled with violence, lots of wrestlers were rapists and child molesters etc), but won't you agree that Benoit taking roids certainly wouldn't have helped, to say the least? When you watch him, you're not just watching him taking the most horrific bumps, but you also know he's doing copious amounts of gear and taking painkillers to deal with that. Concussions are just a fragment of the equation - and if I recall correctly, it wasn't even his first instance of domestic violence. Benoit's case is, like you said, a "spectacular" example of something that's sadly mundane, but when we see him in action, we are more privvy to elements of his case than others.

It's tough to compare it with Polanski because Benoit's art directly led to what happened to him, while Polanski's art didn't really cause him to commit his crimes. That kinda makes him come across as more disgusting as a person, yet easier to dissociate from his work than Benoit's.

AEW Dynasty 2025
Mox essentially holding the belt hostage while having the absolute worst title reign in company history just so that Darby Allin can come back as the savior after fucking off to Mount fucking Everest for what feels like an entire year is insane. Batshit insane. Shit, even Hogan dropped the belt to Luger for a while and was still the top dog. They don't need an uninterrupted reign here.

AEW Dynasty 2025
Very bold of AEW to halt any momentum they have* just to book some of worst fucking endings they can come up with. *hyperbole, they'll be fine I guess

Has she ever been involved in a non-title program?

I don't think anyone had "Gunther is going to do some of the best character work of his career on a WWE Title feud against Jey Uso" on their cards when he jumped to the main roster.

Charlotte might be a reverse Phoenix Ikki or some shit. Every time she returns, she's worse and less interesting than before. I honestly cannot remember a single storyline she had in which the title wasn't involved, and when you have 10+ years of that, it becomes absurdly stale - not to mention she's got some of the most egregious instances of unprofessional conduct of the last few years, one of them putting her opponent, Kairi, in danger.

I know I fucking would. Nakamura already looked cooked nearly 10 years ago when he made his NXT debut (horror crept in as I wrote that sentence). Okada spent the last like 12 years as the ace carrying New Japan. Them just having a bullshit match with bullshit comedy would be the best and ony thing I'd want to watch from them at this point. Both are just REALLY good at that.

Not only he's signed, but he's already in WWE's internal roster, it seems. Cobb working against Gable or the Creeds would very much be my type of shit. Let's do it.

AEW Revolution
Didn't Mox have the idea to have his program with Punk go on like Rocky 3? With him in the Clubber Lang role? And now he's the top champ choking people, retiring fools and all that? And no one stopped him in his bullshit? LOL.

I'd honestly put him against Jacob Fatu. In any case, it's likely they'll push the "multi man clusterfuck" button.

It's crazy to me how old, roided to the gills Randy Orton is cutting great, fired up BABYFACE promos in 2025. Anything can happen.
