WWE TV 02/03 - 02/09 Patrick Mahomes might be The Guy
I dunno maybe a good comparison would be if Zidane instead of winning both the Ballon D'Or and the World Cup in '98, did so in '94 when he was still playing for Bordeaux, but kept the rest of his real world career mostly intact.

WWE TV 02/03 - 02/09 Patrick Mahomes might be The Guy
What Mahomes is doing is like Magic Johnson being FMVP at 22 and Derrick Rose being MVP at 21, but combined. For a league that has legendary Quarterbacks all in the late 30s and early 40s (Rodgers, Brady, Roethlisberger, Brees), having two dudes (the other being Lamar Jackson, who I hope also makes history) in their early to mid 20s rule the league is astounding.

WWE TV 01/27 - 02/02 R.I.P. Kobe
The only time he managed to get huge wins was against Roman in their great damn feud, IIRC. From that moment on, his moments were like winning the biggest Rumble or winning a tag team battle royal by himself. One may say that he should've won at that Elimination Chamber, but the backlash if he were to gp up against Brock that year and lose would be even bigger than what we got. Which on the other hand begs the question of why didn't they crown Roman there...

No joke, if I had enough money to be buying WWE stock I would be SHOOK. Shit took a nosedive! Never seen anything like it. Just goes to show how fucking risky those things can be. They were almost at 100 dollars/share not a year ago, now they are at half of that. Yikes. Oh, and I am not even thinking that the Fed is dying or anything. Just that some """poor""" unaware fuckers lost tons of money overnight.

NWA Powerrr
I don't really watch NWA Powerrrrrrrr but there were two things that caught my attention and were really positive surprises: Nick Aldis looks really damn comfortable in his role as World Champ and while the stipulation in his defense against Scurll ain't the best one ever, it kind of feels old-school, but somewhat anachronic at the same time. Thunder Rosa looks fucking incredible. Didn't know her prior to this week's interview alongside Melina, but my goodness she looks like a huge star. The look itself is great, but she carries herself like a champ, too. What a incredible ringname, too.

NJPW I can see him having a blast, but AEW not so much. In fact I think he would coast even more, because him going there means he made bank and would only need to do RKOs. Plus he would tower over pretty much the entire roster, and there ain't many guys like Drew who could murder him with chops. I mean holy shit

Can't imagine looking at Orton setting Bray's house on fire and striking his pose before the flames and thinking "that dude is so boring" But for real, his charisma more often than not never really translated to great matches. He can talk, he can make you invested in a match, and since he got you to watch and spend money on it, he ain't putting all the work in the ring. If he were 100% focused all the time, he could've been possibily a top 10 guy ever. But then again, that dude wouldn't be Randy Orton. It's paradoxical - if he weren't so aloof, he wouldn't have a third of what makes him stand out.

WWE TV 01/27 - 02/02 R.I.P. Kobe
I never really cared about Edge as a performer, but his speech and his conversation with Orton just sold the whole thing. Both were astounding, be it crying reminiscing about the moments they had as friends, be it feeling conflicted about the horrible things they were going to do, it was an enthralling piece of television. Orton might be lauded as boring by many, but I'd say he is one of the all time greats without any hesitation. He just knows how to make you react and never forget what you just saw. Between this week's segment and his feud against Jeff (which provided the most gruesome non bloody image I've seen in wrestling), as well as his feud against Bray (which he single handedly made entertaining), he GETS pro wrestling at its core.

Orton is interesting because nothing he does ever seems out of character.

Maybe it's more Andrade being protected than Humberto being dead in the water?

Yes. People were shrieking at the thought of Orton crushing Edge's head. Master crowd manipulator.

WWE Royal Rumble 2020
Watching the Men's Rumble. Look, some people say that Brock ain't shit for business but my God some of those reactions when he was losing momentum were unbelievable. Lee shoulder tackling him, Kofi's flurry and the joint effort with Rey and Big E... just unbelievable stuff. Crowd was losing their shit for anything that indicated Brock was getting eliminated, because he's that credible of a seller. Great stuff.

Shayna looked extra focused on Bayley during the Survivor Series build, so it wouldn't surprise me if she were the champ come Wrestlemania. Running Charlotte/Shayna, Ronda/Becky and Bayley & Sasha vs Duke & Shafir ain't the worst of ideas.

How's life? Of the people not named Michael Cole, Tom might be the best one, so it's okay. Too bad for Vic, who's also really good.
