Yeah, the Lone Wolf was fun for a bit of banter, with him telling guys like Apollo to go back to ROH and things like that, but it's a pretty bland gimmick. Him portraying an authority figure is way better, as he can actually showcase his mic skills more, and it can lead to a wider number of situations.

When you don't have the heels get the upper hand all the time, things are better. I love Corbin but that time when him, Drew and Bobby dominated RAW was rough, and also led to nowhere.

Saying you are the best is different than saying everyone else is below you. Seth caught shit for saying his company is the best, but you didn't see him saying "The Young Bucks geeks? Pff, they would be curtain jerkers if they were lucky!", and for good reason. Omega saying this type of thing just shows how much a thin-skinned geek he is, plus show his myopic vision of how this business works. Although, if we're being fair, this ridiculous quote led us to an all-timer moment in Wrestling History. Behold.

It's the reason why I defend Cole so much. When he's not in a micromanaged environment, or even a couple of weeks ago when the commentary team was him, Renee and Vic Joseph, he did a great job at pretty much selling you on the match and explaining the story and motivations. Vic himself is great.
