The thing about AEW trying to sign Ambrose is that the dude feels done, not just with WWE, but with wrestling. He clearly doesn't care that much anymore, and how does have someone like him help a rising organization? Imagine they give him more money the WWE did, only for him to half-ass it in the ring. Would be ridiculous.

At least Batista was the Rumble winner and got massively booed for it, so the cathartic effect was bigger. Plus he made sure to put over pretty much every new talent he could. He's a good guy.

Yeah that promo was kinda cringe worthy. Not because what Swagger said was bad, in fact he managed to improvise pretty well, but the crowd gave him NOTHING. Still, he is looking jacked as fuck, and actually won his first fight.

I don't think intergender wrestling is ever going to be a mainstream thing save for very few exceptions. Ronda squaring up against Triple H was special, and in some ways so was Nia entering the Rumble, but full fledged matches? Doubt it. As for the follow up, they can just explain that she was trying to exploit the rules by winning and then challenging Asuka/Ronda if she had won.
