Michael Cole saying Sheamus is one of the most underrated and underappreciated wrestlers in WWE is a nice, if not a bit unexpected, call.

Much like the Wrestlemania match, the closing moments were actually good. Jericho stomping the fingers is the kind of hatred and mean cuntiness I wanted since the beggining.

Well... Jericho's almost half a century old and KO is not very good, so of course it seems to be in slow motion.

When are people going to realize that KO working a headlock like shit isn't good wrestling?

Expecting some New Day/Wyatt compound brawl level of blandness. Other than that, really hard to call it a good card. Roman/Strowman and that's pretty much it. Maybe Hardys/Cesaro & Sheamus, too.

Juice's selling of the leg was very good throughout the whole match. His comebacks also never felt forced, nor they overstayed their welcome. His two big spots looked downright murderous - the avalanche powerbomb and the apron spinebuster, that is - and they were a nice balance for someone who had limited mobility. *** 3/4 feels right. Juice's year is turning out to be very fucking great, really.

Heavy Machinery? AOP?

Wrestling events having ridiculous sounding names isn't exactly a WWE excluse thing, so I don't see that as bad. Specially if they go the full hog with is and it is a more ridiculous cheesy fun thing.

This week's episode was actually pretty good. Tyler Bate vs Jack Gallagher was a nice showcase, they advanced the Ruby/Storm feud, Drew got another fun sprint, and most importantly, Roderick Strong got a very damn good video package.

I thought he was creepy as fuck, which is what the role asked, wasn't it?

This is for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship. BODYGAA is over in this, to the point that at first he's portrayed not that differently from an underdog fighting from underneath and Kento is doing the dastardly work of a body part (in this case, the neck). The match itself, while not being anything special, is enjoyable because both performers give the sense of urgency a title match needs, and because the crowd is into this the whole way. Kento show much more emotion than Okada usually does. I wonder if they met in their careers, or if they ever will. Bodyguard is charismatic as fuck - considering he's best buds with ZEUS, that isn't a surprise. *** 1/2

Truth be told, Vince's life is so.... peculiar that if they did a more serious, more "impartial" approach (not going to happen) it could actually result in a good film, or at least one to look forward to.

Sasha might've had her best promos in a while and it's all because she hates Alexa for real. Still, Bliss smoked her and Bayley by herself. Go figure. Also Miz's partner better be someone great. No fucking way I am watching Ambrose and Jericho in the same match ever again.

So, today we'll have a dumpster match. BRAAAAAAAAAAAAUN is going to provide some TV greatness, as usual.

Oh, a big YES to DIY/Revival/AOP. Authors of Pain being booked like legit monsters and DIY/Revival joining forces in order to take down the behemoths - and failing - was just great storytelling. Few teams are as smart as building fresh spots than those two, and AOP is shockingly great for the ammount of time they have.

A piece of shit shooter and a bully big boy against the babyface ace and the thicc big boy. Gotta provide at least some stiff shit. This is a weird mixture of light hearted action and bomb throwing. There is no sense of urgence, which is not exactly a bad thing, since they provide some laughs and still put on a good match. Hino and Sekimoto chop exchanges are gross. They are pretty much hitting forearms to the jaw at points, and the sound is loud as shit. Unusual to see Sekimoto being overwhelmed in this type of duel, but it happens here. Miyahara gets his ass kicked by both Sato and Hino and it is glorious. He is a very good underdog in this setting, and even if he does have them lightning kicks, he is blasted with chops and kicks and elbows throughout most of the match and has to fight from underneath. They go into a 30 minute time limite draw, and then ask for more 5 minutes. From them on its just non stop bomb throwing and hot nearfalls, which kinda balances out the more carefree pace of the regular time. Still, no one can actually get the pin. Fun match. Hino is the clear highlight here. He just oozes charisma and some of his offense is pretty unique. *** 3/4

I actually think Sheamus had one of the best matches in WWE history - or at the very least, of this era - against Daniel Bryan at Extreme Rules 2012. I really, REALLY like that match.

The main event NJPW style is something that I think is hugely flawed. Like NintendoLogic said, they feel like going 45 minutes just for the sake of going 45 minutes. Okada/Omega featured 20 minutes of meaningless matwork that served no purpose to the match, making it very disconnected. The following half was a very good bombfest, but as a whole it wasn't great. Okada/MiSu suffered from a similar problem. Even though Okada really won me over on that particular match with his performance - his knee selling was spotty at times, but he could convey that he was struggling and suffering throughout the match, and it was a nice touch -, 30 minutes of someone sitting on a leglock is not an easy watch at all. Shibata/Okada was the best out of those three (I've yet to watch the match against TMW). It felt better paced, and even the early matwork felt like it had a purpose to be there. It does have a major downside of effectively ending Shibata's career, which again is a problem with the match structure they seem to be going with this year - hard hitting matches shouldn't be going over 20 minutes, let alone 40. I am curious though, as to Okada/Fale. Do they keep that short or are they going over 30 minutes as well?

I think he still is a guy who does mostly comedy - way more than Miz, mind you -, but I would not consider him a "comedy midcard face". There seems to be a very noticeable double standard on the Miz, at least when it comes to people like Meltzer talking. DX used to mock the ever loving shit out of people, doing impersonations of the Nation of Domination, Vince and Shane, etc. Were they comedy acts? Examples of comedy heels: Breezango, Santino (who also was a comedy face), Spirit Squad. Miz isn't one of them.

What about Jericho doing comedy bits around Ambrose - feuding over a plant, no less - in early 2016? He was obviously going to lose that one. Is he a comedy midcarder?
