I think that would be really cool.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
That being said, I think you could possibly make Braun look vulnerable without sacrificing his aura too much against a big guy like Lashley or maybe Roman if they turn him heel. The only problem is that the rest of Raw's heels are pretty much scrubs.

Worst Turns in Wrestling History
Orton turning face in 2004. The thumbs-down moment was definitely memorable, but it was all down-hill from there. He was just never believable as a clean-cut good guy.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
Only book part-timers as solutions? I never once said that. Could have sworn I said the guy shouldn't have to be on TV every week and that trying to build up challengers for a guy who's whole gimmick is that he's nearly unstoppable could run the risk of damaging his aura. And sure, they could be creative and find ways to protect him. But if you keep the belt on him for too long, he's going to need show ass at some point. I recall a time when Brock got laid out by the Authority and that went over like a lead balloon. And yeah, it's pointless to worry about these kinds of things because WWE has always done a great job of booking talent over the last few years.

[2018-04-01-Stardom] Io Shirai & Tam Nakano vs Kagetsu & Sumire Natsu
Awesome match. They did such a great job teasing the shots with the bat, I was practically on the edge of my seat every time it looked like someone would get hit. Io and Tam being conflicted about using the bat while Kagetsu and Sumire tried it every chance they could get was a great story. Tam was a great face in peril and Io did a tremendous job cleaning house and kicking ass. It all built to a great and satisfying finishing stretch with some unbelievable nearfalls. ****1/4.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
I never said Braun shouldn't be champion. I absolutely think they should put the belt on him. My concern is with him as a long-term champion. With his monster aura, it's more difficult to book feuds for him without making him look to vulnerable. Sure, you could do an injury angle or a gang-style beatdown, but how long can that go on? You also mentioned Austin and Hogan. Austin and Hogan had the benefit of not being on TV every single week. Overexposure is the name of the game in WWE unless you're Brock Lesnar. So unless they're going to take him off TV for a few weeks here and there (which I don't foresee them doing) he's going to be there every single episode. I don't trust WWE to be that creative in how they book Braun for that long without making him wrestle matches almost every week. And sure, A.J. is better than Seth. But A.J. is also on Smackdown. He's been the anchor of the show for two years and they don't usually move people from brand to brand unless it's during the shakeup. Even come this time next year, I could easily see them keeping A.J. on Smackdown unless they make Bryan the star. So they have to work with what they have now on Raw. And Lashley strikes me as someone who's a much better heel than a face.

I mean on Raw.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
My question for those who doubt Seth is: who else besides Braun? Because I really don't think Braun is the kind of guy who should be in long title programs because that calls on him to look vulnerable at some point. Roman is dead. Lashley hasn't lit the world on fire since his return. The only other person I can think of is Finn, who probably isn't very popular among people who already are against Rollins. And people aren't calling for him to win the belt just because he wrestles good matches. It's because he's easily one of the most popular acts in the company right now.

Worst Turns in Wrestling History
I remember one I absolutely hated when I was younger was Matt Hardy turning on Jeff in 2009. Being a huge fan of Jeff, seeing him chase the title for a year, finally get his big win, and then drop it almost immediately to do this feud with Matt while we got another Orton-Triple H match at Mania was infuriating.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
I agree they should be building up someone else in the wings even if Bryan did become the ace.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
I still don't buy that Bryan's any worse off than someone like Orton or Jeff. They're probably in worse shape than he is.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
Agreed. Although I definitely think there's more they can do with Bryan.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Rowan was never a good singles worker but he's definitely a better tag guy than Cass.

WWE TV 05/07 - 05/13
Probably just waiting until after Backlash. I hope.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
Yeah, beating Shawn was what really cemented him.

Right when Braun was red-hot too.

WWE TV 05/07 - 05/13
If you view it as a comedy, it's hilarious. Anything else, and it's incredibly draining.

WWE Backlash 2018
I thought Nak-Styles was their best match yet and was on its way to being something really great until the terrible finish. Miz-Rollins was great. Everything else was skippable or downright terrible.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
I think most of those losses were due to Triple H imitation promos and the fact that he was a complete and utter chickenshit. I'm not going to call him an excellent mic worker, but he's been loads better on the mic as a babyface and his in-ring work has also improved tremendously. And the crowd totally buys into him now when they didn't during his last run on top. And with Braun, I think the answer is to basically make him this generation's Undertaker i.e. give him a few short title reigns where he loses via chicanery sandwiched between feuds where he dominates midcarders.

[2018-05-06-WWE-Backlash] Seth Rollins vs The Miz
Great match. Seth has really come into his own as a babyface and the MIz was the same opportunistic heel he's always been. Seth has gotten a lot better with knowing how to escalate his offense and not do stuff just for the sake of it. Miz also knew when to pick his spots and re-take control of the match. The knee work at the end really added an interesting wrinkle to an already great match and there were quite a few times Miz believably looked like he would pull it off. I just really don't like that superplex/falcon arrow spot, even if it gave us an awesome nearfall from Miz. Excellent match and showing from both guys. ****1/2

[2018-05-06-WWE-Backlash] Big Cass vs Daniel Bryan
Really dull yet thankfully short match. I get they were trying to play up Cass' ego and inexperience by having him repeatedly taunt Bryan, but he just had no idea how to make his heat segments interesting. Bryan tried his hardest (even pulling Cass' arm is to try and set up an attempted block at the Yes! Lock) but just couldn't save this match. Like I said, it's a good thing it was short.

Roman Reigns as the ace post-Wrestlemania
I'd go with Braun too, but I can understand the hesitancy considering his dominance. How do you make him vulnerable without compromising his monster aura? I could also see Seth considering how much of a roll he's been on. And while I'm not sure they'll try to pull the trigger on him again, Bryan is right there as well. This is all in regards to the top male star, as it seems pretty clear Ronda will be the top overall star.
