WrestleMania 39
Naito/Okada at WK 12 is definitely more shocking than this was. Nothing beats the ending of the Streak though.

Cesaro
That Fatal Four Way is easily the best ever made, an Cesaro being the juggernaut to beat in it is a big part of why. From his WWE run, I would add the Regal match, the SmackDown Orton match, basically every Sheamus match (the US title match in 2014) and the Bar run, specially the Ironman against the Hardys and the first Ambrollins match where he fucking breaks his teeth and keeps going like an absolute madman.

2022
It's honestly either Moxley or Dax Harwood. Cash Wheeler would be up there, but Harwood's singles stuff gives him the edge.

Shinsuke Nakamura
This motherfucker has one of the most amazing peaks I've ever seen in a pro wrestling, back when his incredible charisma melted with really solid and full of personality ringwork. Sadly he hasn't been like that since coming to the main roster (with only just a couple of exceptions, the LMS with AJ being the main one). So, very strong lack of consistency is going to hurt him, and I bet he won't be at 2026's final list. He won't be in mine, at least. Such a shame because at his best, he's one of my favourites to ever do it.

AEW TV - 2/8 - 2/10 - What if Tony Just Let ChatGPT Write All The Promos?
Big smile on my face when I heard those during Bryan/Rush. Amazing crowd for an amazing match. Haven't seen the rest of the show yet but it looks absolutely top tier Dynamite stuff.

AEW TV - 2/1 - 2/3 - Never Mind The Bollocks, Here Is Danielson vs. Thatcher
It's crazy to me that, of all three big matches announced for this Dynamite, Bryan/Thatcher was the one that "underdelivered". The match was still super good, so that speaks more about how high the average level for these last dynamites have been than anything.

That Mox/Hangman match was fucking awesome guys. What a war.

Royal Rumble 2023 aka 30 years of pointing at sign as Mania main event booking
You can put Sami with literally anyone and he will make it work regardless of booking. I think he has proven that enough already. But whatever, without thinking too much: a Reigns rematch, Jey, Owens, Drew, Orton when he comes back. I don't think anybody here is saying he should be the Ace of the company. I mean, he definitely can be that and if you see him at NXT in 2014 that's a guy you start to build as your new top babyface. But whatever, he doesn't need that, and I think the fanbase understands that. If he wins the titles, then time will tell when he has to drop them. Sometimes (hell, most of the times), looking at long term booking too much hurts the stories. The guy is fucking over as hell as a foe of the world champ? Fuck it, have him beat him with a proper build up then, and let's see where that goes later. It's not like WWE is gonna suffer financially with or without him on top (nobody has that effect anymore, not even Brock or Roman).

Royal Rumble 2023 aka 30 years of pointing at sign as Mania main event booking
You're not wasting it. You're feeding him to Roman in order to give him even more heat, so Sami's victory can feel even more satisfying. And you can run Cody's story later on, and not necessarily with Roman; his is one of those stories that it doesn't matter if he fails the first time, it'll add a redemption arc for later. Sami's momentum, on the other hand, feels much more like a "now or never" deal to me.

Royal Rumble 2023 aka 30 years of pointing at sign as Mania main event booking
Have Cody lose to Roman at night 1 and then Roman/Sami from night 2 can be for both titles instead of just the UC as originally announced.

Royal Rumble 2023 aka 30 years of pointing at sign as Mania main event booking
They dropped the ball. They should have done the title match the opener, with the very exact same post match angle, and then have Sami come into the Rumble by surprise (have him take Rey's place, whatever) and win it. But they're cowards and they almost never accept when the flow of things have changed and that they need to rewrite some stories. That said, there's still some chance we might get Roman/Cody for the WWE Title (the one Dusty never won) on night 1 and then Roman/Sami for the Universal Title (the one Roman's being with since the very beginning of this run, HIS true title). Roman losing both championship in two nights in a row could be a very satifying end to his legendary run, like a "the higher you go, the harder you fall" situation. I'm not sure we're getting KO/Sami vs Usos though. Jey is clearly conflicted, and he might get out of Bloodline sooner or later. A proper way for Bloodline to end should be everyone realizing they're alienated by Roman, who doesn't really care about family if is not in his own interest, and stepping up for themselves. That's been the whole point since the initial Roman vs Usos storyline two years ago. Cody is over now because he just returned, but this RTWM is very fragile it seems. I won't like it if they just do Sami/Roman in Canada and then drop their storyline like nothing happened in order to quickly build a one-month Roman/Cody feud. Anticlimactic.

AEW TV 1/18-1/20
Wasn't HOOKhaunsen the hottest thing in the company not so long ago? What happened with that, what did I miss?

AEW TV 1/18-1/20
Bryan/Bandido was a little masterpiece if you ask me. In fact, I don't think I have seen a better Bandido match, and this was my favourite Bryan singles match since the last title match with Hangman. MOTYC level, for sure. Please tell me they're not gonna do a love triangle with Hangman, René Paquette and Mox.

AEW TV 1/4 and 1/6 - The One Where Danielson Wrestles Nese
One of the absolute best shows they have done in a while, not without its flaws but overall a big improvement on content and build up to the PPV. I even enjoyed the Acclaimed-Lethal/Jarrett thing.

Current New Japan
The magic of pro wrestling, folks. I hate Omega. I really hate Ospreay. But that match was fucking amazing and a clear early MOTYC for me.

2022 Match of the Year List
Yeah I agree. Landing looked pretty nasty, too. To be clear, I wasn't refering to that spot when talking about the good offence on display in the match, Inwas talking about some creative strike exchanges, ways of setting up different spots and the rythim and intesinty behind everything they did. The match as a whole is pretty good.

2022 Match of the Year List
Kaito/Kenoh from the NOAH show was really good. Not MOTYC level for me, but I'm sure it can be for a lot of people. Tbh I really apareciste their take on the usual big match, making it shorter and with more original and fluid offence.

WWE TV 12/26 - 1/1 Jesus > Hitler > The Undertaker
HHHH you coward you better give Zayn the win over Reigns at WM. At this point people shouldn't want anything less than that.

All Elite Wrestling
I enjoy most of Jericho's career, but since losing the AEW Championship he's been hurting AEW's product more often than not. And it's funny because at first It doesn't seem like it, but then time proves us differently. The Orange feud looked fine enough and grave Cassidy some spotlight to shine more than ever, but it led to nothing and they were afraid of giving him a proper, clean, pinfall win over Jericho. The MJF angle started fine and the build up to MJF shaking the Inner Circle carefully from the inside was cool, but iirc the actual turn came pretty early on, and the rivalry was too long and didn't produce any memorable matches, and to top it all of course Jericho had to win at the end. I don't even remember something cool out of the ATT rivalry, only the infamous onlyfans joke to Paige VanZant. The Kingston rivalry started super great, MOTYC included, but what should have been a big underdog victory for Eddie before pushing him to something more important, became an endless feud with the whole BCC, where Kingston wasn't even Jericho's main rival anymore, and no one got over out of it. The ROH title run was kinda promising, but it was only for Claudio to regain it, so what was the actual point in the first place? Is not like Claudio needed some reinforce or anything, he was still over as the newest AEW commodity. Like, yeah, Jericho has been part of cool matches and moments here and there, but nothing that you could specifically say "wow this is a great Chris Jericho's run/performance", like for example his title reign was, or his first Omega match was. Anarchy in the Arena is amazing, but it's just an oasis in the middle of an otherwise looong and painful rivalry, and you can't say it's greatness is in most part because of him. He should slowly become just a manager and/or do commentary with Tazz and Schiavone, at this point.

Current New Japan
But obviously Gedo chose the annoying option as usual.
-
Darby Allin
I can see that. I was trying to say that Darby is better than Jeff at the things they share, but overall Jeff had this more sympatethic underdog aura, while Darby is still treated by both the crowd and AEW as the guy you want to see almost dying in insane ways. Still, I don't think that affects the "Darby>Jeff" statement.

AEW Full Gear 2022
They have a crazy good match at ROH as well, think the year is 2008 but I'm not sure. ROH posted in on YouTube some years ago as a throwback thursday.

Why the fuck did Eddie Kingston lose?

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
The incredible amount of pro Elite propaganda Meltzer is moving right after the dog stuff was leaked, this whole situation is funnier and funnier each time. And btw, the elite being the ones returning first means nothing. They are the bosses of the company. They literally created it. Of course they were gonna come back, it's their yard. That doesn't mean they're more or less on the victim side of the Punk stuff.
