Johnny B Badd / Marc Mero... Time to Revisit his Career
I always liked him. Something about a dude who did fun high flying stuff while also boxing was neat. But yeah, way too many headlocks.

Are there any good books about Lucha?
I'm having so much fun watching this. It's funny, people always talk about how high risk lucha is - and it is - but there's WAY less bumping due to the 2 fall structure I think. Pretty much every big, flat bump is a fall. No wonder lucha guys last so far into old age. I don't get the deal with Tirantes or whoever as ref. He seems to count kind of slow and have a bit of a character? Like, their red shoes or hebner or whatever? Can someone fill me in? And I am shallow enough to admit I dig the ring card and entrance ladies.

Anyone know if there's an e-book out there of it?

Are there any good books about Lucha?
Hello folks, Recently got into CMLL due to some promoting of it by fans both here and on Reddit. Really starting to dig it, and I want some reading material for the bus to learn about lucha. Just some E-Books to throw on my tablet. Any recommendations?

LA Park is the King of Lucha (aka 2018 is weird)
I don't know much about lucha, but man, that was amazing. Loved that full on tope to the head. Loved the dueling disqualification falls or whatever.

Luchadores in the WON HOF
I think Mistico's an obvious shout. He was the biggest thing in the world in his - admittedly brief - prime. But others had a comparably short prime and made the Hall. I'd have him in.

WWE TV 04/23 - 04/29
Nakamura's always been a better heel to me, just because for as interesting as he is a TV character he'd be such a weird, annoying asshole in the real world.

Can anyone participate in this? I'm a new poster, but I would love to share some reviews.

Pretty sure I was looking for Llave. Thanks!

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
There's a term for the ground based chain wrestling lucha libre style that I can't remember. I saw it once in a review of ZSJ vs Negro Navarro and not being able to remember it is driving me nuts. Help?

[2018-04-08-WWE-Wrestlemania XXXIV] Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns
I know I'm a bit late on this. The biggest, damning thing about the match is over the past year they had two central pillars the match easily should have been built on: The vicious elbows to Orton and the F5 kickout. The F5 has been built fantastically all year, putting absolutely everyone down - Including Reigns in the buildup! - with one shot. The Orton elbows were a big, talked about moment that could have served as a fantastic story beat in this match. They killed themselves by going to the F5 too early. A half dead, bloody Roman eating that move and then kicking out of one F5 only to spend the rest of the match desperately avoiding getting hit with another could have been a lot of fun.

Is Atlantis the most underrated historical figure in wrestling?
What's some good Atlantis stuff to get started with? I've heard the Villaino match is fantastic, obviously.

[2018-04-07-WWE-NXT Takeover: New Orleans] Johnny Gargano vs Tomasso Ciampa (Unsanctioned)
I really, really liked this but it does lose a little to me based on them forcing this "This is my moment!" thing into the match repeatedly despite it having absolutely nothing to do with the match. This wasn't a match about a "moment". It's a match about personal disgust and betrayal, your best friend turning on you. That's not a time for clever phrases. That's a time to stay quiet and kick ass. Other than that, good stuff. Really dug it. Would have liked to see them go back into the ring between the outside stuff a few more times just to make the stuff out at ringside breath a little more but that may have made the time a little too long.

Technical Wrestlers Today
The issue with Zack for me isn't just the moves he does. It's that the way he does them requires his opponent just sit there and not fight back at all to make them work. There's so many cute arm and finger manipulations where I'm just sitting there going "...Just punch him. Punch him with your other arm." His opponent just sits there wincing but not otherwise reacting. Thatcher I always find a bit overwrought in his presentation. Guy just seems really strangely over the top, particularly in his physical posture. I know that's nitpicking but just the way he stands is weird.
