Shingo vs Ishii was by far their best match since their G1 match in 2019. With about 5-10 minutes chopped off, it would be up a bonafide MOTYC.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
She's not amazing or anything, but Natalya is fine as a wrestler imo. Her match with AJ Lee on Main Event is a highlight of that era of the women's division, and she's had a lot of matches since then which I've liked.

AEW All Out 2021 - September 5, 2021
http://www.2xzone.com/wwe/buyrates.shtml These are all WWE PPV buy-rates not including In Your House. Aside from Mania, Summerslam, and Royal Rumbles, WWE started dropping to around 200,000 average at around 2009-2010ish.

I hadn't realised that Togo was part of the booking team for New Japan.

Might not hit the heights of some other PPVs, but this was top to bottom one of the most consistent and best PPVs I've ever seen.

I'm 100% sure that they tried to buy STARDOM as well before Bushiroad came in

Those G1 blocks look dire. Some of the omissions are staggering, especially when you look at who's in.

House of Torture is most likely going to split off into its own stable soon. Whether that happens tomorrow or at the G1 depends on how crazy Gedo's feeling. As for the future of their main event scene, I'm somewhat more optimistic. I imagine they'll be in a holding pattern until things open back up, but once it does there are lots of possibilities. Shota Umino feels like he could be put straight into the main event on his return, and Ren Narita would probably not be that far behind given his talent and who's training him. Cobb and Takagi may be old, but they're fresh faces in the main event scene (plus Shingo is just the best anyway). SHO's heel turn is annoying, but he's a far more talented wrestler than EVIL, so I'm sure it will click for him just like it clicked for Jay White. And of course, there's the AEW connection where you could bring in guys like Moxley and Omega to instantly slot into the main event scene.

My biggest takeaway from today is that Okada looks like he's in great shape and seems to be moving a lot better. Every match was solid except for the Yano vs Owens match which Is skipped because that sounds like torture.

WWE TV 08/30 - 09/05 Paralympic Games rock
Alvarez said it's gonna be like the old NXT, so I'm curious if that means game-show NXT or just after FCW NXT.

NXT TakeOver 36 Triple H's last stand
WALTER vs Dragunov was phenomenal, I'd say as good as their match from last year.

AEW Rampage - 20th August 2021
I would imagine it would at least get close. Even if you aren't on the internet and avoided all the teases and spoilers, flicking over and seeing CM Punk would probably pique your curiosity and make you watch.

WWE TV 08/09 - 08/15 NXT is no more
The first reply in the thread summarises the video, basically, Keith Lee has been dealing with an inflamed heart after catching COVID and there was a chance he'd pass away. Glad it's been dealt with and I hope the recovery goes well.

Wishful thinking but I'd like to see guys from other promotions come in. My dream G1 participant is Mochizuki, but even getting in 1 or 2 NOAH and AJPW guys would be cool to see.

AEW Dynamite - July 28, 2021 - Fight for the Fallen
Having too much of a good thing is a nice problem to have, but it's still a problem, and when you got three main eventers with momentum, at least one of these guys is gonna have their momentum cut out. That being said, to me it's a no-brainer that Hangman should not be the one sacrificed for two reasons. Firstly, it's their chance to pay off the biggest long-term story they've had, and a big chance to create their own home-grown star (all of their other big names got their popularity in other promotions). Secondly, both Punk and Bryan have shown the ability to stay popular despite losing big matches.

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
Main event was wild and Jay White showing up was the icing on the cake. Yes, they had a singles match for the US championship at one of the New Beginning shows which Jay White won. After that, it was all about the road to redemption and the IWGP title for Omega.
