Yes. Up until the world war 3 match with The Giant, it was working. It’s when Flair was trying to bring him into the horsemen that things went south. If they kept him away from the four horsemen and he was fighting the NWO on his own, fans might have accepted him. He was the opposite of Curt Hennig in a way. Jeff was less over being associated with the 4H and Curt was less over not being in the group. Even tough I did like the little period where he won the US title and they acted like it was the end of WCW and was defending the belt every week against Benoit, The Giant etc...

Yes, his run on top of WCW felt force plus he was miscasted as a heel. I recently watch some old Memphis and he was so much better as a good looking underdog babyface.

So Alex Gracia and Tesha Price both got tryouts with wwe. I am surprise that they were never signed. Gracia has a great look and is really likable and Price is always a blast every time she is in the crowd. I would miss them if the go. Speaking of wrestlers choosing wwe over AEW, are they doing anything with Ben Carter or is he just another talent that they are hoarding? Also, rumours are that AEW are interested in Salina De La Renta. I wouldn’t mind seeing her as the mouthpiece of Jade.

Watching some 1996 WCW has me wondering if Jeff Jarrett could have been a bigger babyface if they changed his look and he stopped doing the Fargo strut or was he doomed from the start after the god awful Double J stuff in wwf? At the time, I felt like coming in, telling the NWO to stick it and having Ric Flair endorse him made him look like a huge deal but I feel like his look reminded the fans too much of the horrible wwf run that they immediately turned on him. I wanted to like him but I hated his previous gimmick so much that I had a hard time getting into him.

By the way, my 80 year old dad who has watched wwwf/wwf/wwe since the 1970’s has been watching Dynamite with me for the past 4 weeks. Tonight he clearly told me, yeah this is better than McMahon’s garbage. He says that he is done with wwe and will be watching AEW instead. Blood and Guts pushed him over the fence. I am so proud hahaha.

Maybe it’s the fact that I hadn’t seen a wargames since the MLW one in 2003 and I was so happy to be be watching one, I didn’t mind that it went long. I was enjoying myself too much.

I had the same taught. At first I was annoyed when I saw them on the roof but since the finish was smart, I didn’t have a problem with it in the end.

I had no problem with the commercial breaks and I don’t care about the crash pad so I loved the hell out of this match. Finish was great and it made me want to see a rematch.

I guess there will be some kind of rematch at DON and i am down with that.
