AEW Wrestledream 2024
Takeshita just blasting mfs has to be one of my favorite things in wrestling today. Interesting that they're signifying both Darby and Orange finally going to the top belt, because it seems like it would be difficult to satisfyingly elevate both to that level at the same time without making fans have to choose. Perhaps OC winning the CC makes more sense for now. CC could be even better than last year with the possible available talent: Okada Ospreay Fletcher Orange Hangman Swerve Cesaro Pac Brody Garcia MJF Adam Cole Rush Switchblade Maybe Black and/or Buddy? Juice Shibata KOR Jay Briscoe a returning Hobbs Richochet Roddy Stong Joey Samoey? Perhaps a Bobby Lashley? Get Double J in there, TK. Big Bill as a darkhorse in the Archer role perhaps.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Some WWE stuff got rec'd to me on Spotify looking for non wrestling related songs. One of the albums has the Mexicools theme and it got me to thinking...is there a more absurdly racist and offensive gimmick than the Mexicools? This was mid 00s, all three dudes were WELL established stars in the US. Their theme starts with lawn mower sounds, they rode to the ring on riding mowers while wearing jump suits. This shit feels more over the top absurdly racist horseshit than damn near any 70s/80s characters and gimmicks even with people playing the part of whatever ethnic group or nationality they didn't even belong to. I know it was said it was a satirical gimmick....but that shit was not a satirical gimmick.

WWE BADD BLOODD 2024
I would genuinely love to see Bret/Goldberg team up to help Sami beat Gunther and bury the hatchet, but the saddest part of Bret's heat with Goldberg is that he very clearly concussed himself on the ring post figure four well before the kick, but he seems to not remember it. You know, on account of scrambling his brain before the kick.

WWE BADD BLOODD 2024
Rock still carrying around his vanity title is hilarious

WWE BADD BLOODD 2024
I guess maybe lol at this timeline where we might get The Rock in a War Games match in 2024

WWE BADD BLOODD 2024
If War Games isn't Roman/Usos/Sami vs Bloodline Hollywood, waterwedune here

WWE BADD BLOODD 2024
I didn't think the HIAC match was particularly good, either. Lot of real phony looking shit, especially with the wrenches. Drew was doing all the heavy lifting and the only thing to really get a reaction from me was the terrible looking bump on the steps Drew took for the Claymore miss on the steps. So stupid it's been a nearly year long angle over a fucking friendship bracelet complete with the blow off ending with a bag of beads instead of tacks or glass in a HIAC and it was treated completely seriously.

WWE BADD BLOODD 2024
Can HHH do the impossible and have Bret and Goldberg unite to help Sami win the title?

WWE BADD BLOODD 2024
That was the sloppiest match I've seen in ages. fucking lol that Cole and Graves multiple times couldn't even tell who was the one executing the move because it was so ugly and actually called it wrong multiple times because of it.

AEW: The new TV deal
Not that I was particularly worried AEW was going to be gone anytime soon, but good to know the bag is secured for years to come.

AEW TV - 10/2-10/5: Danielson vs Okada III, Ospreay vs Ricochet VII. Anniversary show.
Does that include the part of her saying Godzilla doesn't have her thighs, and Mothra doesn't have her flaps?

AEW TV - 10/2-10/5: Danielson vs Okada III, Ospreay vs Ricochet VII. Anniversary show.
I don't think Okada has done any of that sleepwalking through 15-20 minutes of the match has happened in AEW at all because all of his singles matches have had 20 minute time limits due to CC rules. The only matches to go over 20 minutes have been in tags with the Bucks.

Mr. McMahon on Netflix
Lol at people finding out Bruce is the most pathetic jocksniffer to ever exist

AEW TV - 9/18 - 9/21 - Never Mind The Bollocks Heres The Outrunners
Double also, Takeshita vs. Okada/Ospreay is going to rule. Triple also, gotta do more with Kyle Fletcher. Quad also, how fucking bad was Mark Davis' wrist injury that he's been out of action for over a year (also Bandito)?

AEW TV - 9/18 - 9/21 - Never Mind The Bollocks Heres The Outrunners
Also, completely baffling how much Double J has absolutely fucking ruled in AEW in his late 50s when he was such an albatross of enjoyment from 1993-like 2015 with a handful of enjoyable periods, almost genuinely ironically when he was a babyface.

AEW TV - 9/18 - 9/21 - Never Mind The Bollocks Heres The Outrunners
Always lol to see the late stage WCW comparisons when at that point, WCW had been absolute dogshit for years and in complete free fall viewership/tickets/quality programming when AEW over extending themselves booking venues bigger than they should a year in advance but putting on frequently great shows and nearly every PPV here specifically is effusive praise for how great AEW is. Also the memory holing of those weekly pics of Raw/SD where the entire hard cam side is empty for like....a decade straight.

AEW TV - 9/18 - 9/21 - Never Mind The Bollocks Heres The Outrunners
Also Mariah May has absolutely zero juice outside of being associated with Toni Storm

AEW TV - 9/18 - 9/21 - Never Mind The Bollocks Heres The Outrunners
Darby winning the big one but in the process retiring Bryan seems very unsatisfactory, but Mox beating Bryan and Darby beating Mox also isn't very satisfying. Will be interesting to see how it all turns out, but AEW has done great with long term angles for ages so I'm willing to see where it goes before getting down on it.

AEW TV - 9/18 - 9/21 - Never Mind The Bollocks Heres The Outrunners
A 20 minute Jericho tv match in 2020 was enough to get me to tap out of Dynamite until they got crowds back, can't imagine that shit in 2024. Just seeing Jericho vs OC again in 2024 was enough to make me immediately tune out even if the rest of the card looked rad.

WWE TV 9/9-9/13 Bret is Back in Calgary
MCMG to WWE seems years too late as they're already both in their 40s and a NXT run of THEY'RE HERE for a year or two seems like it won't be anything more than what they'd get out of AEW run. However, the idea that they'll get a 2 year in ring run and then be agents with Petey and Abyss seems like the main benefit and idea of signing with WWE over AEW for them specifically.

AEW All Out 2024
The missed axe kick to clam jammed thumbtacks spot was somehow both visceral and hilarious. The swanton table spot was brutal. There were a couple of other seriously bad looking bumps Willow took during the match that look like the kind of things to take someone out of action for a while. Has OC ever considered cutting his hair a little shorter so he doesn't have to constantly move it out of his eyes. It's almost like a tic at this point for him. He'll even do it in the middle of spots sometimes, but also before and after every spot. Mox going full Funk was pretty unexpected.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
I don't know if I'm aging and test is dropping, but boy it sure seems like there are so many more genuinely emotional feel good moments in the last couple of years across the industry than I can every remember.

AEW All Out 2024
No way, show is stacked Hangman/Swerve insanity Ospreay/Pac Garcia/MJF Willow/Stat street fight Okada/Briscoe/Orange/Takeshita which should surely lead to both Okada vs OC and Okada vs Takeshita Shada/Shida Would have to think Bryan vs Perry will be the best match of Jungle Boy's career

Boy that sounds like something Bruce should not be making any comments on
