It feels like a lot of things have been put on hold or stretched out waiting for Kenny to return, so that should really inject a boost of energy. Have there been any updates on Bryan's return schedule?

Ric Flair (sigh)
Ol' Double J lookin' GOODT. I watched one of the doc episodes and actually it was very well made and has me interested in more than a "this is going to be such a disaster" kind of way. A whole section on Ric might actually die in the ring and it'd be worth it really seems to be tempting fate. Can't believe the Jeff isn't a real Horseman bit on the podcast was long term booking all along.

AEW TV 07/13 - 07/15 Board is looking SPIFFY
Lol at this jobber team. Completely lacking any emotion in their faces whatsoever.

WWE TV 7/11-7/17
Just going to TV 14 doesn't mean they have to go back to Attitude Era/Ruthless Aggression era bawdiness. Like....WWE would be completely in control of that.

I think it's more important to sell your heart out when you're losing actually

I believe a lot of heavy bleeders in the 70s and 80s would take a handful of advil an hour before match time

Booking Wardlow's first defense to be against Orange Cassidy seems like a real bad idea unless the plan is to continue the trend of the crowds turning on the TNT Champion.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
I saw a guy that had to be in his 50s riding a bike while wearing a current Raw logo shirt and hat back in Spring time.

I don't have an issue with it other than the amount of ad breaks in all main events on Dynamite is terrible, but especially when it's a big spectacle match and 40% of it is in PIP.

TK definitely overdoes the blood and guts stuff, however, it certainly differentiates from WWE and it's not like every major Memphis/JCP/ECW show didn't have blood and bullshit.

Feel like Netflix is fucking up not retooling the doc to be the ultimate Dark Side of the Ring

I feel like there was a company that had an angle where the title corrupted anyone that had it, without screaming it in your ear every time. I can't seem to recall what company/title it was, though.

Wonder if Khan's hiring and power consolidation was hedging because Vince knew this stuff was going to be coming out sooner or later

WWE TV 07/04 - 07/10 Fourth of JuLIV
It's probably more that Sasha is a talent they definitely do not want to lose, and Naomi is the wife of Roman's cousin, so it's best to keep things as quiet and civil as they can. I do wonder if Sasha just leaves the industry all together and moves on to music/acting after having the passion beaten out of her enough to quit or try to quit twice in 3-4 years.

AEW TV 7/6 and 7/8 - Let the Summer of Doldrums Begin
Also Christian is doing it with people he has established history of instead of MJF who got a reaction one week for saying something wild and that turned into LOOK AT ME I'M SAYING EDGY SHIT with randos for a month and a half.

Christian's ultra-cheap heat crossing the line heel stuff is so, so much better than MJF's

He was booked perfectly for 2 years, and when it came time for the big payoff, it was completely overshadowed with MJF drama that had nothing to do with him.

I didn't mean on TV, I meant just like Meltzer gossip. Seems like the whole thing has been completely memory holed. I think that's a big reason why Wardlow lost all momentum. Yes, the storyline played out and came to a satisfying conclusion, but the next show completely overshadowed it in every way and then no one will mention what Wardlow's deal for the past 2 years has been.

The bloodiest time in WWE was post going public, though. The Ruthless Aggression era right up to the Benoit murders had some of the most insane blade jobs outside of a deathmatch promotion.

How have there been no updates at all on the MJF situation

I don't think anyone except Vince McMahon has thought Kevin Dunn has been considered any good at his job for the past like....15-20 years.
