WWE Cell in a Hell 2022
This seems so, so ill advised and this shit is making me cringe more than all but the very worst deathmatch shit. Maybe the idea was the injury is already as bad as it can get so fuck it. But fuck.

Skip the interim bullshit and just have the injured fighter/wrestler get a title shot when they return to action. No one should be emulating Dana White.

Weirdly it feels like they did a much better job of cycling different talent every week at the start when they had way less talent and names.

AEW TV 06/01 - 06/03 strap the rockets to WARDLOW
They're really not too much anymore. The FCC doesn't really have any say over content on cable. In theory, they could have aired MJF screaming "fucking" without any issue, much like they didn't bleep it out when Moxley said it. It's usually down to sponsors and not wanting to get complaints, but plenty of shows on regular cable say all kinds of words that would have been relegated strictly to subscription channels 15 years ago. Most of the networks doing spooky movies for Halloween season just blur out nudity but otherwise leave everything intact. And they could air the nudity if they wanted to.

I gotta lol that what TK chose to impress the WBD/TBS/TNT execs in a time of merger that might put the company's tv slots at risk was to do a full Russo worked shoot with a talent in the ring screaming shit and fuck while ranting about how terrible it is to work there.

AEW Double or Nothing 2022
More than ECW, I was getting heavy Nasty Boys/PE/Harlem Heat plunderfests vibes. If only they had done split screens. But that kind of match seems like it would suck in the arena because unless they're in your area, you're missing 75% of the action

He hit all the greatest hits: It's the REAL Max, not the character MJF. Ratings. Workrate. Star ratings. Ex-WWE guys. MARKS this and MARKS that. This shit is so tired. Dude could not have followed the template any closer than he did.

Rough night at the office for Jamie Hayter. I would be surprised if she didn't have a concussion.

I'm kind of surprised Silver King didn't get an actual cruiser run in WCW. That dude rarely got much time, but every time he did he was showing out and getting pretty big reactions for his spots even as no one know who the fuck he was.

WWE TV 05/30 - 06/05 Gimme Big Dawg vs Xavier Woods
There's a big difference between say, an Adam Cole controlling Keith Lee with a side headlock, and 115 pounds landing on your stomach from 10 feet in the air. Fucking toddlers jumping off a bed or couch on you fucking hurts, mayne.

AEW Double or Nothing 2022
Punk really shit the bed in the main event. Maybe he was recently sick or has an injury, but I think it was the worst he's looked in AEW. He's always been sloppy, but that dude was fucking up the whole match and seemed to have completely gassed not even half way into the match. It actually reminded me of some of Jericho's title matches. Half the match felt like Punk curled up and Page stalling for him. Also, lmao at literally every spot Moxley and Jericho tried to do not working the entire match.

AEW TV 5/25-5/31
My feeling about AEW booking is WWE has had garbage booking and programming for most of the past 30 years. When AEW's logic might break down or something drags on too long, at least there is always some really cool shit on the show and the feeling that at least TK wants the fans to actually be excited and enjoy themselves. Just putting on shows that aren't insulting to the audience goes a long way to being able to look past some of the issues AEW might have. I'm sports entertained 9 times out of 10.

I've had the opposite experience. I keep seeing negative or meh takes on a lot of Dynamites for months while I have quite enjoyed the stretch from Punk's return to now. There's only been like 2-3 shows that were duds in that time. I do wish to go a week without seeing Adam Cole, but what can ya do? It's certainly not a perfect show, a lot of the booking is pretty scatterbrained, and I do not watch Dark/Elevation, and rarely pop in for Rampage unless there is a specific match that interests me. Even then, I'll watch the next day and scrub through it, but even that I don't do often at all.

It's really fascinating at how good Joe has looked in this run considering how broken down he looked at the end of his WWE/NXT run. And the last couple years of his TNA run for that matter. Dude is just going to war every week like it's 2003. Really the only thing is he seems to have a harder time with cardio, but he's in his 40s now and has essentially been inactive for two and a half years.

Yeah Kidman landing knee first on Chavo's head is what ended the SSP for a while in WWE Christ that's more brutal than I remember, Chavo immediately going stiff as a board :jeanluc

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Hall goes missing from TV for a few weeks in the spring of 1997, which I believe was alcohol related. By summer/fall, physically you can see some of the subtle changes in Hall's physique in his face and mid-section.

Was there a reason Hall and Nash were split apart in the summer/fall of 1997? Hall starts doing matches and promos with Savage, occasionally Syxx, but also doing a lot more singles matches. I assume Nash was injured, but when he's on TV, it's with Buff/Konnan/Syxx, not Hall. Besides a Nash injury, my thought was perhaps WCW was trying to keep them apart a bit as Hall's drinking was starting to become a noticeable problem.

This is why I find Spring Stampede 2000 to be the worst WCW PPV. This shit head had 3 different tournaments going on the same show.
